Hi! Hyena King here! This is the next chapter, were we'll do a quick overview of what comes next before we move on. Sorry for not updating for so long, but enjoy this next segment! And so, without further ado, here's chapter 33!
(Sly POV.)
After shutting ourselves inside the Northern Light battery, it became black. we just sat there in darkness for a few long minutes. No one talked for fear that Bison's men might discover where we were hiding. Time seemed to have stopped; then we felt it. We were being lifted up to Arpeggio's blimp. All of our hard earned Clockwerk parts were gone. Looking around the inside of the battery, I knew we've failed. I was all twitchy and ready for action, any action. Bentley tried to make sense of the situation by drawing up meaningless plans, while Murray took it the worst when he saw the team van float over the horizon on a block of ice. That van was his life. I knew he had to find a way to make it up to him.
This was not even bringing the fact of Thunder and Lightning's captured friends. They had gone this far to help me, the first time and this time, and I felt like I owed it to them to get them back.
In Arpeggio's blimp, the aforementioned parrot and malice, in his anthro form, were talking while making a toast.
"To the beginning of a beautiful business relationship." Arpeggio said, taking a drink of his champagne with his wing.
"And to a new body." Malice added, sipping his champagne.
"Well, I'd like to thank you personally for all your help in this Malice." Arpeggio continued. "You have been ever so helpful."
"It was nothing, so long as we have a common goal."
"If I may be so rude, what are you planning to do with those girls we captured when we retrieved the clockwerk parts?"
"That's my business, Arpeggio, but I'll let you know that I plan to take back what is rightfully mine, from them."
"I see."
"And, of course, I must thank Neyla for her part in killing that loathsome Lightning for me. His brother should follow suit soon."
Arpeggio raised an eyebrow at this. "They don't seem like a threat to you. Why are you after them, anyway?"
"Well, they are more then they seem. And I want to settle old business with an old friend of mine."
"Really?"
"Yes, but that's a story for another time my friend, for now, let us enjoy this moment of victory."
"Yes, of course."
They stared at from where they were sitting to a large room that held a large metal frame being held up by magnetic wires. And on that frame, the Clockwerk parts were being assembled.
Cliffhanger! Ain't I a stinker? R&R please!
