They rowed downriver for the better part of a day passing sheer cliffs on each side, a rather monotonous journey, Zeb had already made the mistake of mistaking elven Lembas for ordinary bread, and had eaten three days worth, only now regretting it.

They soon decided to make camp on the banks, everyone got comfortable, Legolas training Kanan with his new bow "Now, pull it back to your ear, aim and release." Legolas said, Kanan releasing the string and hitting the target dead center, Legolas looked surprised "Are you sure you have never shot a bow before?" "Yeah" replies Kanan "But I used the force to guide the arrow." Legolas nods and goes back to giving Kanan pointers.

Aragorn is training Hera and Sabine with their new swords while Zeb sleeps off his meal, and Ezra rests his sore shoulder. Suddenly Ezra notices a peculiar log floating down the river, it feels wrong so he calls over Kanan "Kanan!", Kanan walks over nodding to Legolas and putting his bow aside "What's up?" Ezra points to the log, by this time Hera, Sabine, and Aragorn have joined them.

"A log?" questions Hera, "No, it feels weird like it has feelings" Kanan strains his eyes and spots two familiar sickly yellow eyes, "Gollum" Kanan says narrowing his eyes quickly relating what he felt back in Moria, then Aragorn says "He has tracked us since Moria, I had hoped we would lose him along the river, but he is too skilled a waterman." They all settle down a few minutes later after a small spat between Boromir and Aragorn over their course.

The fellowship continued downriver the next day, passing the massive statues of Isildur and Anarion, Sabine remarking "That's some art. But does anyone use color here!"

Later they were docked along the western shore, Gimli watching Aragorn address Legolas, Kanan, and Hera "We cross the river at nightfall, hide the boats and continue on foot, we approach Mordor from the north" to which Gimli replies "Oh yes, It's just a simple matter of finding our way through the Emyn Muil! An impassible labyrinth of razor sharp rocks, and after that it gets even better! Festering stinking marshlands as far as the eye can see!"

"Then I suggest you recover your strength master dwarf" replies Aragorn coolly, "Recover my…" Gimli is too insulted to continue and stomps off, "We should leave now" says Legolas quickly and Aragorn replies "No, the orcs patrol the eastern shore, we must wait for the cover of darkness"

"It is not the eastern shore that worries me, a shadow and a threat have been growing in my mind something draws near, I can feel it." Replies Legolas, "I also feel a sense of impending doom" says Kanan, Aragorn seems to take this in for a moment before Merry asks "Where's Frodo?" everyone immediately panics and they spread out to search for him, Ezra, Sabine, and Boromir who were also missing.

Meanwhile…Ezra was collecting wood when he hears rustling and looks over to see Frodo doing the same, he begins to walk over when Boromir comes into view, he watches as Boromir says "None of us should wander alone. You least of all, so much depends on you Frodo." And Ezra gets a tense feeling, watching unseen as Frodo and Boromir argue then Boromir tackles Frodo, at that point Ezra, still sore, tackles Boromir and yells "Run Frodo!"

Frodo puts the ring on "Don't put it on!" moans Ezra, then he is hit in the back of the head with a piece of firewood, dazed he looks up to see Boromir holding a knife above him, looking completely crazy, he thinks to himself 'Well this is it' then a purple foot collides with Boromir's gut "Get off him!" Sabine yells, then kicks Boromir again, this time in the head.

She then helps Ezra up, hugs him and asks if he is alright, then they look over at Boromir who is on his knees saying "What have I done?! Frodo, I'm sorry!"

Minutes Later…Kanan runs up the hill, feeling as though he is running into the loathwolf's den, gets to the top and sees Frodo running down the hill, he is about to follow when he notices that Aragorn is now facing a horde of huge orcs…alone.

Kanan sprints into action igniting his saber, and force pushing some Uruks, even though he didn't know that was what they were called, off the cliff to their death, and battle is joined!

Soon Hera, Zeb, Chopper, and Sabine (who left Boromir at the bottom of the hill) are at the seeing seat, demolishing the Uruk-Hai, they slowly push the Uruks down the hill until, after Legolas shooting five Uruks in eight seconds, they hear a horn blow, and he says "The Horn of Gondor!", "Boromir" Aragorn replies breathlessly and runs down the hill.

Hera and Kanan run after him, but the ranger easily outpaces them, they arrve just after Aragorn, bloodied, dispatches their leader. They then notice the fallen form of Boromir as the rest come up from behind.

Aragorn kneels before Boromir and Boromir says "They took the little ones…and Ezra" which has Sabine gasping, and Kanan's eyes going wide. "Hold still" Aragorn advises, Boromir grabs his hand and words pass between them before Boromir dies, at peace with his actions. They all feel sorrow, first Gandalf, now Boromir.

They gather Boromir's body and place it in a boat before pushing it off, a final salute to their fallen comrade. "Hurry! Frodo and Sam have reached the eastern shore!" says Legolas, looking at Aragorn, then says "You mean not to follow them?" Aragorn replies "Frodo's fate is no longer in our hands"

"Then all has been in vain! The Fellowship has failed!" intones Gimli sorrowfully, Aragorn looks up and replies "Not if we hold true to each other, we will not abandon Merry, Pippin, and Ezra to torment and death. Not while we have strength left" he snaps his balde back in its sheath and says "Leave all that can be spared behind, we travel light. Let's hunt some orc."

He turns and Gimli yells "Yes!" before they all charge after the Uruks to free their comrades, whatever the cost…

A/N: Thank you all, this is more popular than I ever dreamed! I will keep writing, though I may slow down, I will keep writing. Hunt some orc!
