Asuma's POV

Congratulations guys it's a...girl.

The little girl was screaming in what seemed like outrage. But she looked adorable from what I could see. The medical ninja tried to hand me the baby but I just shook my head.

"No give Kurenai the baby first, my mother would probably come back to life and smack me if I tired to see her first." I told the Medic

When Kurenai had the baby placed in her arms I walked over and got a better look at her.

"So I guess we can't name her Asuma Jr." I asked Kurenai.

"No, we will not name her Asuma Jr." she replied.

"But we have all day to think of a name let's just not rush it we only have one chance to name her and I don't want her hating us for it."

Kurenai fed the baby and went to sleep. I took the baby and held her for a while then I put her in that little baby case thing. I think they call it a incubator.

"If she wakes up tell her I will be right back." I told the medical ninja.

I walked out and greeted my friends and family. I told them about how it was a girl and that both Kurenai and the baby are asleep now. I continued walking out of the hospital o the cemetery.

I looked at the place where he was laid to rest. A place where I found myself standing a lot.

"You know I never really understood anything you were ever trying to teach me until after you died. You made me mad about everything, I thought you loved the village more than your family. More than me, mom, Koren, and Arashi."He said and that,s when he realized his brother and sister were there too.

"You aren't the only one who thought that." Koren said looking at me.

"Yeah I didn't realize until after dad was dead that he did a lot to care for us and he was as heartbroken as the rest of us if not more when mom died." Arashi told me.

"Did you decide what you were gonna name your daughter" Koren asked.

"You know I keep thinking and thinking that I need to honor or dad in some way. We as his children were never really fair to him." I told them.

"So then name her after Grandma Sarutobi that would honor him." Arashi said.

I looked at them and smiled running back to the hospital.

Kurenai's POV

When I woke up I was looking for Asuma when he suddenly burst through the door.

"I know what to name our daughter." He told me.

I looked at him expectantly "And that name is.." I said encouraging him to continue.

"Oh right..I was thinking of naming her after my fathers mother" he said.

"Her name was Mirai."
