On the side of the gatehouse the trio of Sabine, Ezra, and Gimli sneak around the edge, Sabine looks around the edge then quickly ducks back. Gimli quietly urges "Come on we can take 'em!" then Sabine says "It's a long way…" Gimli looks about ready to swallow his pride and ask Sabine to toss him, but Ezra has another idea and uses the force to catapult Gimli into the mass of Uruk-hai. Sabine smiles before she and Ezra leap into the fray, blades held high. And give the Roherrim time to "Shore up the door!" yells Theoden.

Kanan looks through the Gap and see's that Aragorn has now leapt over and is helping the trio fight off the Uruks, but he also sees the Inquisitor striding up the ramp, pushing Uruks out of his way and realizes that he has to do this… "Aragorn!" Aragorn stops and looks at Kanan, "Catch!" and Kanan tosses his lightsaber to Aragorn who deftly catches it and turns to suddenly face the Inquisitor who ignites his blade, Aragorn fumbles with the switch for a second before activating it as he has seen his Jedi friends do many times on this journey and parries the Inquisitor's blow.

Up top Hera and Legolas are joined by Kanan, who now weaponless, draws back his longbow and starts firing. Moments later a huge bolt lands across the Hornburg and the attached pulleys start to crank a massive ladder up the attached rope. Legolas waits for the ladder to be almost halfway up before cutting the rope with an arrow.

Two more bolts arrive just as Zeb mounts the parapet, having seen Legolas shoot one, aims his bo-rifle and tries, unsuccessfully, to blast the rope. His face in a half-grin because he got a headshot on an Uruk with the same shot. Kanan aims and, using the force shoots an arrow in mirror of Legolas and cuts the third rope as Hera slashes the second.

Kanan looks at Théoden who has just joined them, Théoden nods that the door is shored up. Kanan looks down and sees Aragorn punch the Inquisitor in the face, knocking him off the causeway. Kanan smiles and uses the force to lift up the four of the fellowship, who momentarily panic. Though relax as they reach the top of the Hornburg.

Aragorn looks at Kanan and hands him his lightsaber saying "Thank you my friend." Kanan is about to say 'thank you' when he dodges a massive bolt, part of a second wave being shot over the parapet.

Théoden looks at his force, Elvish and Mannish, beginning to fail and says to Gamling "Fall back, pull them back!" Gamling then yells "Fall back! Fall back!" moments later as the Uruks break through down below Théoden yells "The castle is breached retreat!" and Ezra is the last to enter the Hornburg before it is slammed shut against the attacking horde.

Just before morning, 5th day… Sabine helps Zeb and Aragorn wedge a table against the doors as Kanan and Ezra use the fore to bolster the aged wood. Théoden looks over and despairingly calls "The fortress is taken, it is over." Aragorn is still placing furniture against the door and yells back "You said this fortress would never fall while your men defended it, they still defend it, they have died defending it!" Theoden looks around and Aragorn continues "Is there any other way for the women and Children to get out of the caves? Is there no other way?!"

Gamling looks to his liege and says "There is one pass, it leads into the mountains. But they will not get far the Uruk-hai are too many" Aragorn clasps the man's shoulder and says "Tell the women and children to make for the mountain pass, and barricade the entrance!"

Theoden looks back to the assembled fellowship, for Kanan and Ezra have taken their powers away from the gate to rest and try to rally the men, and says "So much death, what can men do against such reckless hate?" Aragorn looks about then says "Ride out with me. Ride out and meet them." "For death and glory." Responds Theoden, "For Rohan, for your people" corrects Aragorn, "The Sun is rising" comments Ezra, Aragorn looks up to see the first rays on dawn through a window, and hears Gandalf's voice "Look to my coming at first light on the fifth day, at dawn look to the east"

Theoden looks rallied and says "Yes. YES! The Horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep one last time!" puts a hand on Aragorn, and Kanan's shoulders and says "Let this be the hour where we draw swords together"

A minute later the fellowship and all remaining soldiers are mounted in the hall, Ezra riding with Sabine, and Chopper strapped to Zeb's back as Theoden says "Fell deeds awake, now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn!" The horn is blown by Gimli as the Uruks break down the door. "Forth Erolingas!" shouts Theoden as he leads the charge, cleaving through the black mass of Uruks and charging out through the Hornburg and down the causeway. They all fight valiantly and prepare for the end but then Aragorn stops and points to Ezra.

"Gandalf" says Ezra, Sabine snaps her head up and sees the White Wizard up on the edge of the ravine, Gandalf looks to his side and says "Theoden king stands alone" another rider comes up alongside and says "Not alone, Roherrim!" Down below Theoden says "Eomer!" and Eomer shouts "To the King!" and as one six-thousand Roherrim charge down into the invading Uruks. At the last second before impact the sun fully rises and the Uruks reel as the Roherrim weapons cleave their black flesh.

Within a minute the Uruks are fleeing into a newly arrived forest at the mouth of the valley, "Uh was that there last night?" asks Ezra, Kanan merely shakes his head and from the depths the sound of squeals and screams can be heard as the Huorns smash the Uruks to a paste, revenge for Fangorn.

"Whoa!" says Sabine, then Gandalf comes up to the Fellowship, Theoden, and Eomer saying "Sauron's wrath will be terrible, his retribution swift, the battle for Helms Deep is over, the battle for Middle earth is about to begin."

Pushing through the Huorns, simmering in failure the Inquisitor stalks back toward the east, using the Force and his dark ring to pull life from any Huorn that gets too close, "I will have my revenge Jedi, and my lord will have this world!" he spits as he reaches the edge of the forest and sees the mountains of Mordor in the distance and smiles.
