Chapter Thirty Four: Blood colour schemes.

Draco landed outside of Hogwarts and ran with Hermione unconscious in his arms all the way to the Hospital Wing.

"Madam Pomfrey!" He yelled as he burst in and laid Hermione on the first bed, "Madam Pomfrey Help!"

"I'm here dear, Blaise just told me." She flitted in and was at Hermione's side in an instant.

"Help her please!" He cried and fell into the chair next to Hermione's bed, "Please help her!"

"I'll do everything I can dear." She tried to reassure him.

"You'll do that and more." He growled and nearly lunged at her as she touched Hermione's head and the Gryffindor winced.

"Easy man." Blaise grabbed him quickly.

"She'll be okay Draco." Pansy told him.

"Her head…so much blood." He cried rubbing the same spot on his head that was gushing blood on hers.

Madam Pomfrey work meticulously to fix Hermione as Draco sat holding Hermione's hand, praying she'd wake up soon and be alright. He let tears silently slip down his cheeks as he watched the pieces go back together. Watching as the blood spreading through the bed sheets slowed until it finally petered out. Watching as Pansy asked people to stay away. Watching as Blaise stood silently by his side with his hand on his shoulder in support.

"She's done." Madam Pomfrey said finally as she cleaned the blood and dirt magically away, "Though her head injury was pretty bad so I had to give her so Dreamless Sleep Draught so she won't wake up yet."

"Thank you." Blaise said on Draco's behalf as the Matron walked away, "How long will she take to wake up?" He called after her knowing that his best friend-brother in Veela sense-would want to know.

"Maybe an hour, if her body's strong enough it'll fight the potion and she'll be up sooner." She nodded back and went back to making beds.

"Wake up Hermione, please." Draco said and kissed her hand, "Come on, you're strong."

"Do you need anything Draco?" Pansy asked from beside Blaise-finally everyone had gone reassured Hermione would send word when she woke up. Hermione. He thought but knew that wasn't the kind of thing Pansy meant.

"No, we'll be fine." He finally muttered.

"Do you want us to stay or shall we go too?"

"Go. You're supposed to be enjoying your weekend honeymoon." He replied, not once did his eyes leave Hermione.

"Okay." Pansy tugged Blaise gently away, "See you later Draco." In which the blonde just nodded.

"Please wake up Hermione, please. I know you might like it wherever you are because you can't feel the pain but please wake up, for me. I'm worried about you…you looked scary with all that blood. But I'm here now, nothing's going to happen. Please wake up." He talked to her like this until he felt her breathing pick up and her hand twitched, "Hermione?"

"My head." She groaned as she opened her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Draco was up in a heartbeat, hovering over her.

"My head hurts." The Gryffindor whimpered.

"I'll get some painless potion."

"No, no, it's fine."

"But you said-"

"I'll be fine, it's just a headache."

"Come here, I know a way to fix that without potions." He said, "Sit forward." He told her as his arms hovered in case she was to collapse.

"What are you doing?" She asked as he settled behind her.

"Relax." He breathed and started to massage her neck.

"It's working." She gasped as she leaned into him.

"It's supposed to." He chuckled.

"How did you find me?"

"Didn't Pansy tell you Veela's can apparate to their Mate in a time of need?"

"Ah, yes, now I remember."

"You scared me." He whispered in her ear.

"I'm sorry." She whispered back.

"I should have come earlier…I knew you were upset but I thought Pansy or someone would be there for you…why were you there anyway?"

"I just needed some air…I was kind of upset."

"Why?"

"I just missed my parents and I ran off so no one would see me cry."

"Silly girl, you should have been more careful."

"I know but how was I supposed to know your ex-friends would find me?"

"I should have known they wouldn't leave me alone."

"What?"

"They…well; their families believe Veela's pollute the Wizarding world, like my Father did."

"And they thought if I was dead you'd return to pureblood again."

"Yep."

"They're so stupid." She sighed.

"What they didn't count on was me finding you."

"We should be thankful for that."

"I know." He mumbled.

"What will happen to them?"

"Attempted murder of a Veela Mate is…life, but I'd doubt anyone really lives past a year in there, you'd go mad so not much of a life anyway."

"Thank you for saving me." She smiled meekly.

"It's no problem Hermione."

"No, without you I wouldn't be here."

"Without me you wouldn't be in this mess…but I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Me neither…well, I think." She giggled.

"Eh! Cheeky." He tickled her sides.

"Don't!" She gasped between laughs, "Please stop."

"Why?"

"Because…this laughing…is starting to hurt." She clutched her waist.

"Okay, okay." He chuckled.

"Thank you."

"So did you get your dress?"

"Yep."

"What is it like?"

"Ah, ah, ah, the Groom can't know about it until the wedding."

"He can't see it but you can tell him."

"No you can't."

"Yes you can."

"Well, I'm not, end of."

"My, my, I've picked a Bridezilla."

"Cheeky." She giggled, "I'm not a Bridezilla. I'm just a Bride who knows what she wants and will get it if the Groom knows what's good for him. Otherwise you can sleep on the sofa."

"You will. You can have anything." He whispered in her ear.
