I ducked as Jana leapt towards yours truly only to hit the bare ground likely to leave a bruise later on.

I heard yells from all of my friends obviously telling me to discontinue the ruckus I had caused. I paid them no mind.

I looked at Jana with my anger under control"Better be careful Jana!" I yelled out charging and slashing towards her face leaving quite the mark.

She growled enraged and leapt at be before it could register into my mind. I let out a yell of agony as I felt my shoulder lose a piece of itself.

I looked at my right shoulder or what was left of it and gave my loudest war cry and ran towards Jana.

We ran towards each other adrenaline pumping through our veins and hit each other with all we had.

I looked back on to see Jana slightly grazed. I felt instant horrifying pain surge through my chest. I fell to my knees Maddy and Rhydian trying to get Jana to calm down when the pain just disappeared.

I felt a tingling sensation throughout my body eager to make it's way out of me. I look towards Jana who was meters away and met her in milliseconds swiping her at the stomach.

I watched as the tingling sensation evaporated and hearing the loudest wail ever heard from Jana.

I let out a sigh of relief before falling to my knees with any energy left put into keeping me alive.

Tom and Shannon ran towards me horrified and worried"Maddy!Maddy!Rhydian! stop worrying about Jana she's fine!" Shannon yelled.

Tom looked at me with distress"Maddy Rhydian! we got to rush Quinn to your parents or he's not going to make it!" Tom yelled picking me up.

I watched blurred figures rush me into a building removing everything from a table. They placed me down reminding me off the previous duel.

Panicked voices came through the door and instantly placed ingredients of some sort on my body.

I looked at the blurry residents managing to grasp a sentence"If we don't use the remnants of the deaths dance he will inevitably die! Now use it!" I heard someone say.

An ointment was placed on me instantly covering me with more pain than the fight with Jana. I let out a yell of despair before everything went out.

"He's awake thank god"

"He only had a 5% chance to live. Tough kid"

"What was the thing that Quinn did?"

"How should I know? We have to be careful with his temper or else we'll be just like Jana..."

"Jana although didn't suffer many injuries, isn't even able to shift at this moment"

"Could it be related to Quinn's new found power?"

"Only time will tell..."

Chirping birds...The rushing of water...The fight for survival...The sacrifices to save the young and needy...The same mistakes that plague the spiecies forever...The cycle of life and death continues...we will live...

...they will die.

I woke up with a gasp. I was in Maddy's house but did I get in? I stood up but cringed with pain still evident on my body.

I looked back at my arms and recalled the fight rushing into my brain. I stepped back fearful of what I had done to Jana. What was that tingling feeling!?

Just then I heard thumps going downstairs. I let out a sigh of relief when Maddy came into view.

Maddy backed away a step and my mood fell along with the smile that was plastered upon my face.

"Maddy did you save me during the fight?" I asked confused.

Maddy opened her mouth and then closed it before going back upstairs. I fell to my knees emotions welling up inside me.

I felt hated and an outsider that had to be part of something. A tear fell from my face followed by multiple others in unison. I ran into Maddy's cellar and stayed there letting my emotions take it's toll on me.

I exhausted my emotions after some time and just accustomed myself to the dead leaves on the ground. The familiar burning feeling accompanied it like usual but was the least of my worries.

One minute I'm a young wolfblood waiting for his first ever transformation and the next moment I don't even regconize what I am.

What was that tingling feeling?

Multiple hurried steps came from upstairs signaling the end of my privacy. I watch as Maddy and her parents made their way into the cellar.

As their eyes scanned over to me I grew fearful and backed away a step. Emma and Daniel shot Maddy a glare before sending a sympathetic look.

"Quinn we don't know what's happening to you but we just want to let you know that we support" Daniel said with a smile.

I looked at them angrily"How do I know that you're not just trying to get on my good side like Maddy".

Emma stepped forward with a smile"Because you are part of the pack and we'll let nothing happen to you" she said.

Hearing those words tears welled up in my eyes and fell one by one. Emma hugged me washing away any resentment left to anyone in the pack.

I looked at Emma thanking her and made my way upstairs. Once I made it upstairs a heartwarming sight presented itself.

Jana, Tom, Shannon, and Rhydian walked towards me. I looked at Jana who sent me a smile"Quinn i'm sorry that I attacked you, my control isn't at it's right now but after what just happened I'll try my best" she said giving me a hug.

I gave her a nod and looked at the others"I don't about you guys but i'm about to knockout from how tired I am. So I'm going back to my house to rest" I said heading to the door.

They all gave a nod and I left the smiths house. I walked throughout the forest admiring the wilderness and the lack of human advancement.

I sniffed the air regconizing my mother's smell and made my way out of the forest. I knocked on the only to feel a hug embrace me"Quinn thank god you're alright" my mom sobbed.

We stood there for a moment before we pulled out of the hug"I'm sorry mom I'll try not to get into trouble again I promise".

I entered the house and looked at the kitchen. A whale must've been born in my stomach because seconds later my mom giggled"Your quite the hungry person aren't you?" she said walking towards the kitchen.

She placed a rare steak on my plate leaving me drooling just looking at it. I thanked my mom before digging in.

I savored the last piece and got up"Mom I'm going upstairs alright?" I said and she gave me a nod.

I made it into my room and jumped into bed enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of no potential dangers.

I looked on my phone and saw many messages from Maddy and Rhydian asking if I was well.

I replied with a yes and closed my phone sleep calling my name. I grinned one last time at the thought of the pack being once again carefree and united before falling asleep.

"Quinn do you want to go to school today?"

I looked over to my door and sighed"Yea ill go, I haven't been to school in a good second" I said before testing the mobility of my arms and legs.

I grabbed my backpack and ran out my door into the wilderness. I made it to school grounds after only minutes and entered into Mr.Jeffries.

I sat down and put my legs on the desk to relax. I took a peek and saw the crew walking towards me obviously for a purpose.

Maddy looked at me seemingly restraining herself from something"Quinn can we talk about what happened between you and Jana during the fight" she said worried.

I let out a shrug"I really can't explain what happened, i'm guessing it's related to the blue around my pupil giving me a little extra next to being a wolfblood" I said.

Shannon pushed through to the front excited"Do you think you can try to resurface your hidden power you have!?" she whispered excited.

The others looked at me curious and I scratched the back of my head"I guess so then? after school" I said. The others became slightly excited but refused to show their interest.

I shooed them away and the school day commenced.

"Quinn hurry! I'm so excited to see your new found power!" Shannon squealed as we made our way into the woods.

I facepalmed angrily drawing veins up to my eyes"For the last time! I don't even know how to trigger it!" I yelled.

We made it to a clearing and I let out a large breath of stress"I don't even know how long this will take so why don't you guys go have fun running around" I said impatient.

Maddy and Rhydian looked at me"We are not giving up the opportunity for something we haven't seen before"

I gave up trying to convince them and sat down on the grass allowing my eyes to burn Awakening my wolfblood senses.

For minutes I felt nothing but my friends silently sat around patiently letting me do my own thing.

The question was what was the trigger to make my newfound power emerge?

I looked back to the fight and realized I enjoyed it. The feeling of excitement was the best part of life no matter the consequences.

I recalled the excitement from the fight days and began to feel a tingling feeling emerge from within.

It felt exhilarating.

I stood up feeling buzzed and walked towards Shannon"You said you wanted to know the knew power right?" I said walking up to her.

She backed up a step but knew curiosity killed the cat"Here's a taste of your own medicine" I said and inserted my claw upon her skin.

She let out a yell of agony before falling to the ground body shaking all over.

I walked up to pick her up when an large fist hit me in the face. I looked over to whoever the blurry figure was and stood up"Yo...who did that..." I said losing function on my body slowly.

I lost function of my legs before falling to the wet comfortable ground of the earth.

I looked over to Maddy running over"Im so sorry Quinn I didn't mean to hit you hard but you hurt me best friend" she said worried.

By now Shannon had regained consciousness and layed next to Tom supporting her movements. She stumbled over and tripped on my leg and fell on me.

I let out a hiss of pain"Shannon...get off" I said and tried her best to get off. She looked at me with a grin"That was awesome!"

Everyone looked at her shocked and how she could've died"It was like I got electrified but in a good way!" she said suprised.

I couldn't help but look to Jana"How did you feel when I used my power on you?" I questioned.

Her face twitched slightly signifying something"I felt like I had been stung by a thousand bees and got hit by a taser" she said.

I looked over to the pack and finally got the gist"So I'm guessing that I can transfer healthy or unhealthy electricity to someone depending on my relationship with them" I said.

I looked at Shannon once more who seemed to be moving all over on excitement"How do you feel right now?"

She looked at me"I feel like I can run a mile in under 5 minutes!" she said and I got an idea.

I pulled out my phone and put it on stopwatch and got in my running position"When I say go we run to the other side of the forest and back alright?" I said.

I reimagined my energetic feeling and felt the buzz reemerge throughout my body. I looked over to Rhydian"Go!" and I ran. The forest was a blur as it only felt like seconds when I made it to the end of the forest.

I saw shannon no where to be found and headed back. The forest became a blur again and I saw the pack once more. I put all my energy onto the sprint and made it past Rhydian.

I looked over to them questionably"So how did I do?". I saw shocked faces all over and saw Rhydian flip my phone around 21.4 seconds.

My jaw dropped in shock as I realized I was going much faster than a car. My ear then caught huffing and I looked over to see Shannon sprinting over to Rhydian.

Rhydian looked at the stopwatch in complete utter shock"Shannon got 3 minutes and 23 seconds".

I looked at myself and my new found power and wondered how this would take me further.

Just then I smelled an unappealing smell that almost made me gag"What the heck is that smell?"

Maddy looked over nervously"That Jana's dad the alpha of the wild pack".

"Jana it looks like you still haven't persuaded Rhydian ey?"

There were multiple rustling of bushes before alric and his pack came out. I stepped back and looked at Maddy"I don't think this is our fight".

Maddy's eyebrows scrunched together angrily"This is definitely our fight. They're here to make Rhydian submit and take him away".

"Come over here Rhydian submit and return to the wild pack" Alric said coming closer.

"No i'm not going with you anytime soon!" He yelled out veins making way to his neck.

Alric looked over to us, veins activating the wolf in his eyes"Everyone attack and capture the wolfbloods and the humans!" he yelled out.

I looked over to Jana, Rhydian, and Maddy who had turned into wolves"I think its time to test out my new power ye?" I said.

I felt excitement build up inside of me and the burning feeling of my eyes accompanying it. I looked over to Alric and smiled"Lets do this!" I growled out and charged towards Alric.

Someone is definitely going to lose their wolf for a while.
