"Sweet Celestia, this place is huge." Michi gasped after they appeared in the Ministry's atrium.
"Don't worry I won't let you get lost in this place just stay close and we'll get there just fine." Arthur said pointing to door of the far hallway.
Michi wasn't sure, if she could fly in this place without hitting somepony, so she decided to walk.
They both made their way to the minister's office to meet him for the first time. They near the door and a large woman wearing pink and looking very much like a toad met them. "Weasley, why are you doing here with that beast?"
Arthur was about to speak when Michi shook her head.
"I am no beast; I am the new Ambassador of Equestria." Michi explains politely. "Also My name is Princess Dimensional Rift."
The pink woman gave a sniff. "Like a mere magical beast can be an ambassador you need to taken to the research level and be taken care of there."
"I have been researching the position since the murder of the previous one." Michi responds. "Honestly, speaking; as an Undersecretary for the Minister, I doubt you have the right to judge just who is the best choice as a replacement to act as Ambassador for the good of pony-human relations."
The sound of clapping could be heard, as Michi turned her head and saw the Minister for Magic come walking up.
"Well that last one at the very least, she had the decency to appear human when she came to her meetings. Anyway the Minister is seemly waiting for you." With a huff, she turned and opened the door for them.
"Ambassador Lily's magical talent was in the form of disguises. I have no such magical talent in that area." Michi commented as she stepped through the door as the human males were being gentlemen and allowing the female alicorn to go inside before them."
Michi sat down on the offered chair, "The Courts of Day and Night wishes to offer their greetings."
"And the Wizarding World offers its greetings as well, Your Highness."The pudgy man in a tacky green suit bowed
Michi nodded, "I have sealed parchments from both the Princesses of Day, and Night for you to go over, some are just re-establishing existing treaties and proposals seeing as The Princess of the Night was not in current affairs when Ambassador Lily was still among us."
"No, of course not and I'm pleased to hear that the Night Princess has returned and I am more than happy to continue our relationship." Minister replied
Michi didn't need a mind reading spell to allow her into the read into that statement, what he meant was he was afraid of the power she could wield if she so chose to do so.
Michi met the other heads of the ministry and found out the Mr. Weasley was the head of the misuse of muggle artifacts she made polite talk. She was then introduced to some of the higher-level noble wizards.
The alicorn princess had just enough energy to create a portal back to the burrow, where she then collapsed in a scattering of hooves that was not graceful.
Harry rushed over worried about the less than normal landing. "Michi, you okay, you're not hurt, are you?"
"No, just tired." Michi responds, her muzzle barely lifting from the floor.
"Here let me help you to the couch." He gently picked her up and walked with her to the couch." Do you want something to drink Michi?"
"No, I just need a moment or two to rest." Michi replied as she laid her head on her hooves.
Harry nodded and left the room to let her rest. Once he was out side, he joined Ron in a game of exploding snaps.
Michi lightly dozed when she heard Arthur coming into the house; she realized that she had truly fallen asleep.
Arthur looked like he ran a mile through the Everfree forest.
"I thought that your day would have pleasant then mine." Michi greets as she walked over to the table.
"It's was ok till the Minister called me once more in to his office." Arthur answered as he sat down.
"Oh?" Michi spoke volumes with one simple word.
"He wanted to see if I could influence you in to giving him the exclusive on all trade agreements even after he left office." The man spoke with a growl.
Michi put a hoof to her muzzle, "Is that so? I do believe that Minister Fudge is quite out of depth with dealing with somepony like me, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna has agreed that I have Crown authority in dealing with the Minister, and you didn't warn me that he was such a coward."
"Yes he is, how he became the Minister, I'll never know." Arthur replies
"In times of great pain and turmoil, subjects often look for those that seem to create hope." Michi replies, "As such, Fudge has been the figurehead of such a beacon during the reign of the Dark One."
"That's all fine and dandy, I wish we just get rid of him but he's in so many of those damn pure-bloods pockets that they can't get rid of him." Arthur almost yelled as he said the last part.
"I'm just an Ambassador of my race, I have no real say in your governing bodies, so I believe you just have to wait until the time that he messes up so badly that he will be forced to resign in defeat." Michi reasons
"I just hope nobody will get hurt before he's gone." Arthur sighed.
"I am no prophet." Michi responds, before taking out parchment and quill. She began a summarized report to Celestia about her first meeting with the Minister.
As she finished the report and sent it off to Celestia she heard the twins ask the one thing she didn't want to hear "So harry want to help us with a prank?"
"And have my sister buck me to the moon, I don't think so." Harry responds, knowing his sister would do worse by contacting his Aunts.
"Harry, Harry, now would we let you get in trouble while pulling a prank with us." One twin said as he placed an arm on his shoulder.
"Yes." Harry deadpanned
The three were surrounded by a glow of magic as they were levitated downstairs.
"Harry, what did I say about pulling pranks." Michi warned as she floated the three in front of her.
"Not to get caught?" Harry replies
"That's not what I said and you know it. I do not want a smart flank answer." Michi lowered them.
"How…" Arthur began as he witnessed the magic.
"It was a simple levitation spell; I suppose that some of our spells are close to your own." Michi replies, as she looked at the three. "Seriously, I do not want to have a repeat of Duster's Infamous Pranks."
Harry smiled and shook his head" Duster's pranks were on of a kind heck even aunt Tia said they would make discord proud."
"The spirit of Disharmony isn't a good role model." Michi replied
Harry chuckled at the thought "Well think of it this way, he's just a statue in the garden now and not free, think of the trouble then."
"No thanks, I rather not." Michi replies
Molly walked into the dining area with her hands on her hips; she glared at the twins.
"Hello mum, how are you this fine evening?" Fred gave a weak wave of his hand.
"Get upstairs and start packing your trunk, and no pranking supplies." Molly ordered
"Yes ma'am" the twins answered Harry gave a silent snicker.
"And you young man did you pack you trunk up." Molly glared at him as well.
Michi looked over at her brother, "Well answer her."
Harry gave a nervous giggle and looks over to the mother "Well I was almost done when the twins grabbed me."
"Well get your hindquarters back up there and finish." Michi states, while Molly nodded in agreement.
Harry turned and ran up the stairs like a Wonderbolt trainee.
Michi put the stopper back into her bottle of ink and packed it away along with her quill.
Molly smiled and gave Michi a nod and pasted a cup of tea. "Ahh to be young once more."
"Honestly speaking, Molly. I'm the same age as Fred and George, give or take a month or two." Michi replies. "But if Celestia was here, or even Luna, I believe they would agree with you."
"Really, but you seem like such a mature young mare." Molly states
"Well, it helps when you have traumatic events in your past." Michi replies, as she suppressed the shudder that brought the painful memory of that night.
"I'm sorry, Michi, I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories." Molly apologized
"You didn't, it's just this place as a whole that reminds me of my early foal-hood days." Michi replies, "But I don't dwell on it as I once did."
"Very well so I take that those people at ministry left you a bit wrung out." Molly states, her expression filled with sympathy.
"A little, but I'm feeling much better after my nap." Michi replies, as she looked around.
After they ate dinner, Molly sent all of the children to wash and change for bed, Michi went up to Ron's room just below the attic, which was the room that Harry was sleeping in. She found him staring up at the ceiling rolling the wand between his fingers.
"That's not getting ready to sleep," Michi chastised gently. She used her magic to take the wand and place it back in the box, and put that into the trunk, she closed the trunk.
"Michi, I'm just excited plus I can't help but wonder about what the wand maker said." Harry responds.
"Stop worrying about that. Let me worry about it, you're still a colt, I'm the one who is the Ambassador here, you're a student." Michi replies, as she used her magic to lift the blanket and tuck her brother in, "Now sleep, no staying up late." She turned and glanced over at Ron, "Same goes for you, Ron."
The next morning they all gathered in the living room with five trunks neatly stacked near the center. Both Ron and Harry were bouncing in their seats with excitement.
Michi sat brushing her mane and tail, as everyone was going around getting ready, "I've never seen you this excited not even when you started magical kindergarten."
"Well yeah there I was prince harry, your highness, It drove me bucking mad, Here I might have a chance to be a normal colt, I hope." Harry muttered the last part.
"Plus we're going to Hogwarts it's the best school ever." Ron added
"It's the only school in Scotland." Michi countered, "I'll have you know, I was born in that castle."
Both Ron and Harry stared at her "You never told me this when both me and Duster asked about Mom and dad."
"It wasn't relevant." Michi replies with her head tilted sideways.
Ron just snickered at the answer "So Michi can you tell us about the castle and about the professors?"
"That was about twelve or thirteen years ago for me, I don't remember anything at all for my very early foal hood days, besides back then I only wanted three things: Food, clean diapers, and sleep." Michi answers.
The faces of the two fell.
"Well i guess we just have to find out the hard way." Harry spoke with a familiar Duster-like cheer.
"Oh did I forget to mention that Professor Dumbledore offered that Hogwarts be my embassy as it were." Michi states, giving a sly glance at her brother.
Harry's head hit the table "I'm a dead pony, just call Old Grey to hang me in the barracks now."
"Well it is the safest place for one such as me? And Since I know what the Ministry looks like from the inside, I will able to create a portal to and from there." Michi explains.
"You're quite right, Michi, plus Dumbledore even set-up a suite for you to use." Arthur added while taking a sip of tea.
"As long as I don't sleep in a stable like some common farm beast, I am fine with the arrangements." Michi replied, as she went over to her pile of stuff with little magical effort, she put all of it into her saddlebags.
"Not gonna happen, your Michi; the best flier outside the Wonderbolts and the nicest pony ever." Harry exclaimed
"Rainbow Dash will have me eating her dust or leftover cloud trails." Michi responds as she settled her saddlebag on her back.
"No way, Rainbow Dash can't beat you, you would fly rings around her, the only thing she has is the rainboom." Harry boasted
"Boasting is unbecoming of an alicorn." Michi states
Ron spoke up "Hold up you two, for those of us not ponies, what are you talking about?"
"Forgive me, but Rainbow Dash is a pegasus her mane and tail are the colors of a rainbow, the rainboom is really called the Sonic Rainboom and no pony has been able to accomplish it until Rainbow Dash came along." Michi replies, "and the Wonderbolts are elite flying force but mainly they put on aerial displays for the entertainment for other ponies."
Ron and the rest of the family nodded in understanding. Then Molly called out, "We're leaving in five minutes, everybody get your things ready and meet by the door."
Michi was already outside, looking up at the sky, her horn glowing softly.
Harry saw her and asked, "You're going to the school ahead of us?"
"No, I don't remember what the school looks like, remember. My portal spell only allows me to go to places, I know or seen through a picture." Michi explains, "I am reversing a charm that I placed here."
Harry just nods and tries to levitate his trunk but forgot he didn't have his horn "Why is this not working, I mean a foal could do this." He growls out as sweat forms on his for head.
"Harry, you don't have a horn in your human form." Michi pointed out, "Which is the reason why unicorn magic doesn't work."
"Oh hehe sorry forgot. Right got to do this the human way." Harry sighed
Michi rolled her eyes, "So how are we getting there?"
"By the Knight Bus if you can stomach the ride." Molly explains with a cheery smile.
"Alright..." Michi agreed uneasy.
Arthur raised his wand up and Michi heard a bang and felt a rush of air before she saw a strange double Decker bus in front of her.
"That is one thing we do not need for Equestria." Michi commented
"Welcome to the knight bus your emergency means of travel for the stranded witch or wizard." The conductor repeats as he read from a piece of paper.
The Weasleys, Harry, and Michi got onto the bus, while the conductor handled their trunks.
With no warning, the bus took off with speeds, which frighten Michi; the flashes she saw were almost too much for her.
Michi practically fell off the bus as it was near King's Cross Station.
Harry and Ron ran to a trashcan and promptly lost their breakfast.
Michi cast a charm around herself where humans would see a child around Harry's age.
"That was not fun at all." Harry groans out looking a bit green in the face
"I whole-heartily agree with you." Michi agrees, as she followed Molly who was leading the way to the platform.
They neared a wall and Molly point the way "It's best to run at it." As the twins run through the portal.
Once everyone was on the other side, Michi adjusted her spell to make herself close to the twins' age. She was going to surprise those who did not know about her this evening at Hogwarts.
Boarding the train, Harry, Ron, and Michi sat in a compartment, the alicorn mare levitated the trunks into the overhead bins.
"Thanks Michi that was a big help." Ron said as the group settles to enjoy the trip to school.
"No problem." Michi replies, she curled her tail around her hind legs.
A few hours into the train, the door slides open, and in popped a bushy haired girl.
"Anyone seen a toad, a boy named Neville has lost one?" she asked
The boys look at her and shake their heads. "sorry, we haven't but we'll keep an eye out.
"I haven't seen one." Michi states, then remembered that she forgot to cast her charm.
The bushy hair girl lets out a small eep and skitters back "Y-y-y-you talk what are you?"
"Something that you haven't even dreamed possible, for what I am. You will learn later tonight." Michi answers, "Enjoy, the rest of your ride."
The girl promptly fainted and hit the floor with her eyes rolled up to her head.
Michi rolled her eyes, as she used her magic to bring the girl into the compartment. She magically created a fan, to wave in the girl's face. "Come on, wake up."
"Mum, why are you waking me up now, i was having a great dream." The girl moaned and tried to roll over.
"I'm not old enough to be your mother." Michi responds, "And you weren't dreaming of a talking pony with a horn and wings."
The girl's eyes snap open. "Oh my goodness, this can't be, I mean all the books i read never said anything like this ever."
Michi used her wing to help the girl sit up, "Well, that's because my kind isn't from this magical world."
"What? Not from this world but how is that even possible Magics like that would be too difficult for a single wizard or witch to cast." the young witch rambled sound like a young twilight.
Michi closed her eyes as she fought the urge to groan, "I'll answer all of your questions later, but don't you have a toad to look for?"
The girl quickly stood up once more. "right sorry, if you'll excuse me." and left the cabin.
Michi let out the groan, "Not another Twilight!"
Harry smiled and chuckled at his sister's face. Ron groaned, "I hope she's not in the same house as i am."
"You are really biased." Michi states
"No, I'm not, it's just bad enough living with rule monger Percy all the time, and she seen too much like him." Ron argued back.
"Percy is just too focused and he reminds me of two ponies I know." Michi replies
"That's what we all tell him but he just won't listen I hope who ever she was she won't be a female version of him." Ron gives a shudder at the thought.
Michi rolled her eyes, "You better change, I will step out to give you some privacy."
"Thanks Michi." The boys stood and closed behind her, as the boys got ready.
Michi walked the length of the train, her ears caught the sound of croaking, and she followed it. "Hello critter, I think you may be lost."
A large bullfrog hopped out in to view and croaked once more.
"Let's get you back to who you belong too." Michi states, as she picked up the toad.
Sometime later she found a young boy looking a bit lost and about near tears.
"Hello, I just found a lovely toad, but I don't know who he belongs too." Michi states, as she held the toad, but to the boy it looked as if her human shape was holding it.
"Trevor! You found him, thanks. I just don't know why he keeps hopping off thank you once more." the boy smiles and extends his hand in a shake.
"Forgive me, my hands are slimly." Michi excused because the boy's hand would go right through the image.
"Oh of course by the way I'm Neville Longbottom and you are?" the boy smiled in a friendly nervous way.
"Michi, but that's just my nickname." Michi answers.
"Well i hope to see you later but i have to get back to my compartment." he turns and with a wave walks back.
Michi turned and went back to her own compartment. Thinking that if the boy did see her again the poor thing might just pass out.
Just as she was getting to the compartment, she heard Harry yell. "And stay out." She saw three boys tumble out then head out to the other part of the train.
Michi entered the compartment, closed the door behind her. "Do I want to know?"
"Are you sure mom was the only pony here?" Harry asked with a huff.
"Not counting myself when I was a newborn, but yes." Michi responds, sitting on her haunches, "Why do you ask?"
"That blonde one was almost a human copy of bluebutt. But not as a smooth talker."
"Harry, when are you going to grow out of the name-calling? That makes you like one of the other foals that call you a blank flank." Michi states
Harry groaned and a pink tinge was on his cheeks. "Fine, I'll stop but I'm not calling him a prince, he's a jerk."
"Leave the noble offspring to me; I have ways of dealing with them." Michi reasons
"I would hardly call him a noble his family were one of the biggest supporters of the dark lord." Ron explained to them both.
"I meant the noble-birth; I know some of the families are considered pure because they do not interbreed with magic users that come from non-magical families." Michi responds with a hoof raised. "Just like in Equestria, Harry and I are considered noble because of our alicorn status."
"No problem on that, I rather deal with the night guard then those 'noble ponies.'" Harry agreed
The train slowed to a stop, Michi donned her illusion and slipped out with Fred and George.
"See you later, Michi." Both Harry and Ron said as they went to the lake.
Michi grinned, as the twins didn't recognize her at all. "Say, you wouldn't know a talking pony, by any chance?" she sat with Fred, George, and one of their friends, a dark skinned boy.
The twins' heads snapped to their eyes bulging with shock and worry, while the dark skin boy looked confused "Guys, what is she talking about and who is she any way?"
Michi started giggling, "Fred, George, you have been pranked and don't even know it."
"Michi, that you? We hardly recognize you, great look." Fred said with smirk on his face.
"Yes, it's me, and I had to cast an illusion to hide my natural appearance." Michi explains, "I'll release the spell later."
"Why not just keep your normal look we're at the school now?" George asked
"Hold on, hold on, what in the name of Merlin's beard are you three talking about?" the dark skinned boy asks confused
"You'll find out soon, I haven't had this much fun in years." Michi giggled as she got out of the carriage and trotted away.
"What a strange girl cute but weird even for you two." Lee comments
"You don't know the half of it, mate." The twins said at the same time.
Michi made it up to the castle, before the rest of the students. Having four legs was good in this instance. She entered and went into the castle itself, seeing as the doors were open to welcome the students back.
Albus stood by the doors "Michi so glad to see you again will you be joining us at the main table."
"Gladly, I would also love access to your school library, if that wouldn't be a problem?" Michi asks, "And I'm surprised that you knew my magical disguise and didn't treat me as a student."
Albus smiled and gave a nodded "While you look like a normal student I could still hear your hooves on the floor. As for the rest all ready done."
Michi ducked her head and blushed, "Lead the way, sir."
Albus turned and walked to the main hall and to the table with the other professors.
Michi took one of the two remaining seats, a grin on her human face.
A maternal-like professor looked at Michi then to Dumbledore, "Why is a student joining us at the table, Albus?"
"She's not a student." Albus answers, "I'll let her explain after the Sorting."
Minerva just smiled as she put the prices together and asked, "So how was the train ride, nothing happened, I hope."
"Lost toad, and I made a girl faint and witnessed three males get removed from the compartment that Ron, Harry, and I were sharing." Michi answers,
Minerva then stood up as the older returning students were coming into hall; she had to lead the first years after giving them the standard rules.
Michi sat watching the students settle as the first years walked in to the hall once more she saw Harry and gave a small wave to him. She wanted to tap her hoof in boredom as a talking hat was sorting the students.
'And that girl thought a talking pony was strange.' Michi thought as she heard the hat shout out random House names for each student.
Finally, they got to Harry, her ears perked up and waited to hear what house he was placed.
Michi was worried as the hat was taking a long time to sort Harry, 'What is going on?' her spell countered her equine hearing; she was confused as well.
"Gryffindor" the hat yelled the table began yelling and chanting, "We got potter, we got potter." The chant being lead by the twins.
Albus stood up, as the very last student was sorted, "Before we begin our feast, I have one last announcement to tell you all."
Michi stood and made her way over to the headmaster slowly dropping her disguise.
"This year, Hogwarts will be a home to a visiting dignitary." Albus explains.
"That would be me." Michi commented as the disguise fully dropped
Most of the hall fell into silence at the sight of Michi in her true form. She saw from the corner of her eye the students at the Slytherin table were mumbling to each other.
Albus was about to say something, but Michi's stare stopped him.
"SLINECE!" Michi used the Royal Canterlot Voice.
Everyone but Harry jumped at the volume of Michi's voice the hall turned to face her with shock expressions.
"Now, so that I will be able to be heard without resorting to using that level of volume, as Professor Dumbledore has already mentioned; I am using Hogwarts as my embassy during my tenure as the Ambassador of Equestria. I do not mind being approached to answer questions, during my time between here and the ministry, but please remember that I am working even if it appears that I am not doing anything at all." Michi explains.
The students all nod and give a polite clap. Michi saw a few hands slowly rise as if afraid to ask her.
"I would prefer to eat right now." Michi sighs as she turned and went back to the table and her chair.
The hands dropped down but Michi saw the bushy haired girl turn to Harry and Ron and tried to ask them questions.
"Celestia help me, that girl is just like Twilight." Michi moaned as she reached for a goblet of tea.
Harry looked panicked and he was trying to not tell too much about Michi and their home.
Michi sighed, "Excuse me," she left the table and went up to the girl who was asking questions, of her brother.
"You have to know something you all were in the same compartment and you weren't freaked out." The bushy haired girl pursued.
"They are under strict orders not to reveal anything unless approved of by me." Michi interrupted
The two boys' eyes screamed thank you to Michi "I'm sorry, I don't want them to get in trouble if there following your rule." The girl blushed as she dropped her head.
"Thank you, once you get settled into the school which would only take you about a day at least, I will put aside some time to answer all your questions, but now is not the time." Michi replies
"Yes ma'am" the girl said in a soft whisper.
"By the way, what is your name? I think 'Hey you' is rude." Michi requests,
"Oh sorry, my name is Hermione Granger." the girl said with a smile on her face.
"My whole title is Princess-Ambassador Dimensional Rift, but everypony calls me Michi." Michi replies
Hermione blushed "You're a princess that's incredible."
"Yes, as is my Aunts and cousin also my brother is a royal but I'm going to let you figure out who that is." Michi replies, as she nodded and then went back to the table.
After dinner, the Percy and the other Prefects took their respective tables to their Houses. While Michi stayed behind with the professors.
Albus and Minerva both stood and turned to Michi "If you would follow us we'll show you to your suite."
"I have a slightly personal request from Princess Celestia." Michi stated
"And what will that be Michi?" Minerva asked.
"She wishes to have grading scale and quarterly progress reports of my brother in his classes. Since she is technically his main guardian in the eyes of the law of both worlds, she should have an indirect say in his magical education." Michi answers with a slight roll of her eyes.
"Of course, that could be arranged in the morning. " Albus replied knowingly.
"Thank you. Now if only I had my very own assistant." Michi replies wistfully
"We might be able to help in that department your mother did leave an egg behind that hatched to a very eager dragon that is still here." Minerva explained.
Michi stopped and spun around, "What? A Dragon from Equestria?"
"Yes, she's been helping out here at the school behind-the-scenes as to not scare the younger students but I'm sure she can help you with your work as well." Albus nodded "I'll send her to your suite in the morning as well."
"Dragons in Equestria eat gems." Michi explains, "I have a few extras, so I might leave them out."
They all nodded and stop in front of a set of doors "Here we are Michi this is the door to you suite as you can see it's near the center part of the school so you can travel almost anywhere in the school in the same amount of time." The headmaster pointed out.
"Wow." Michi replied
