Max's POV
Preschool. That was the first half day away from her mom. Max wasn't thrilled about it. She didnt cry though. She just hugged her mom till she was forced to let go.
She didn't know what to do with herself. All the teachers were suggesting things to do in the classroom. Being the almost 4 year old she was. She was very sassy. The first day though was good. She hung out with some girls but after the first week all of them didn't like her. The majority of the girls in her class were Blondes and since she was the redhead she was the odd one out.
She often did things alone when she could. She was happier this way and she told her teachers that. Though in the second month it changed. One day the teacher had told the class that one of the kids from another class was moving into theirs. HIs Name was Henry. All the girls wanted to play with him but max. Though when snack came around he chose to sit next to her.
"hello, im Henry" he said as he pointed to. Himself.
Max giggled as he said this. Then he made a funny face.
Just staring at her. In that moment max lost all intreats in her goldfish and juice. "Whats your name ?" Henry asked while trying to guess in his head. He turned his head to each side waiting for a response.
Max lifted her head finally and looked him in the eyes
"Im Maxine, but my mommy and daddy call me Max for short"
She then looked down at his hand smiling and instantly grabbed it. His eyes widened but slowly a smile spread across his face aswell.
" Lets be best friends Max" Henry said as he put a goldfish in his mouth with his free hand. In that moment, max bursts out laughing, everyone in the room turns their heads in the direction of max. Max hadn't laughed ONCE in the 2 months she was here and If she had it was so quiet no one heard. The teacher was about to yell at max for being so loud but , she didn't since this is the happiest she had seen her.
" Yes Henry , your my new best friend, your so funny," and once she said that Henry started to laugh with her. Though they were still holding hands and that is how Henry and Max met. Though there were a LOT more memories to be made with the duo.
