Chapter 10 Yoko's Back Story
(Yoko POV)
I could tell Akira's curious now.
"I guess today was a good day to tell you, it's Friday so we can sleep in," Yoko said, "unless you had planned for us to train in the morning."
"Are you kidding me, even before I left my first home, I always could do whatever I wanted in the weekends, and that included sleeping in," Akira said, chuckling a little.
"Well then we have enough time to hear one more story then," I said, "So first off, my last name is a lie, I am not Yoko Rayne, but if you really knew who I was, then I will never enjoy my life ever again. But I'm still Yoko at least. Before I lived with my parents and twin sister, Yuki. But I never could really enjoy my life. They treated Yuki like a princess. They gave her whatever she had wanted, and I would be dragged along as well. Yuki and I are opposites, even for the same thing, she liked the professional music, ones with singing and musical instruments, I liked the ones in battle, that's why I wanted to be a huntsman in the first place."
"Let me guess, your parents didn't want you to learn combat so you ran away," Akira said, "I've kinda been there, but I learned how to fight before I ran away."
"Yeah, I ran away to learn to fight," I said, "I trained at Signal. The technically lone fox, or wolf, whichever seems to make sense. But before I did start at Signal I did two things, change my last name to Rayne and give myself this scar to hide myself from anyone who could have possibly have known me in the past."
"So then the both of us are hiding the truth from others then," Akira said, "Honestly I like Yoko Rayne better than Yoko whatever-you-were-before. And don't worry, we'll be okay, we have a team to support us, just like they have us to support them."
"Yeah, you're right," I said.
"And we should be going to bed now, it's getting late," Akira said.
We were silently walking back to our dorm when the door to another dorm room opened. It was the fiery girl from Signal with blond hair.
"Oh…I'm sorry…I'm not interrupting your date or anything…right?" she asked.
"No, I was just out for a walk for some fresh air, he just couldn't sleep," Akira said.
"Oh, well I'm Yang, Yang Xiao Long," she said.
"I'm Akira Fang and this is Yoko Rayne," Akira said, "We're members of Team ASPR, and the other two are just asleep right at the moment."
"I remember you," Yang said pointing at me, "You were the Fox Faunus at Signal, the lone wolf…sorry Akira."
"No offense taken," Akira said.
"So are you the Fox Faunus from Signal?" Yang asked.
"Yes, I was, glad to finally make your acquaintance," I said, "but it's getting late and we need our rest."
"Okay, goodnight," Yang said closing the door.
When we finally made it to the dorm room, we went in and Akira was already writing down a note.
"What's that for?" I asked.
"For us to get a good night's rest and so then they won't have to wake us up when we are sleeping," Akira said, "Goodnight Yoko."
"Good night Akira," I said then silently whispered to myself so no Faunus, not even Akira could hear, "Akira Kasai, it has an interesting ring to it."
