Chapter 17 Amnesiac Awakening

(Yoko POV)

"It might as well have been weeks, it it's been three days since Wolf's Wrath decided to show itself," I said to Akira who woke up in the hospital room in her normal clothes.

"So, it was only three days then?" Akira asked.

"Yeah, but we did our best did we, your still alive after all," I said.

"I'm thankful for that," Akira said, "and now I want to find Cardin, to see how badly I can scare him."

"Akira! Don't even think about it!" Blake said, shocked about this.

"It's just a joke Blake, even if I did have a good excuse to do it," I said.

"Okay then," Blake said, "So how are you feeling?"

"I feel fine," I said, "I just want to get out of here now, the scent of disinfectant is starting to kill me."

"Please no, you need to stay here and rest," a nurse said, "And we need to redo some X-rays."

"X-rays? Why do you need to do those?" I asked.

"To make sure you have no fractured bones. The ones from the first time around were distorted," the nurse said.

"I'm fine," I said, feeling around for any internal injuries, "No broken bones."

"Miss Akira, I won't have just a simple touch for any fractured bones work out," the nurse said, "I've always had and always will prefer X-rays."

"Sorry, it's just I do not like X-rays at all," I said, "It's just that my senses are amplified for me and if you don't mind, I can't stand the disinfectant you use in the infirmary and I am leaving."

I left with Yoko by my side leaving a very distraught nurse. It was a silent walk part of the way, no one from the infirmary coming to get it; it was a good thing at least. But if word spread about me having a distorted X-ray, then that cannot be good, especially if Ozpin hears about it.

"So Yoko, I'm impressed," I said.

"About what?" he asked.

"You having Kitsune Spirit," I said, "it may not seem as much, Fox Faunus with Kitsune Spirit are extremely gifted."

"It's nothing to me, or my family," Yoko said, "besides; I was saving you from breaking your bones."

"Kitsune Spirit is a better semblance than what I have," I muttered to myself.

"I know it is," Yoko said, "but Kitsune Spirit is different for every Fox Faunus that has it."

"I know that well enough," I said, "It's just that you'll never know what you get until you experience it firsthand."

"Miss Fang, I would like to see you and the rest of your team in my office," Ozpin said just as we reached the dorm rooms.

"Of course," I said, "We will be there as soon as we can."

(Yoko POV)

"Are you sure about this?" I asked as Team ASPR was waiting for Ozpin to let us into his office.

"I'm sure about it," Akira said, "I'm just worried, that's all."

By the time we were in his office, Raven and Shawn were answering questions; none of them however were targeted to Akira or me.

"Okay, that is all, Raven and Shawn, you two may go now," Ozpin said, after the door was shut behind the two Ozpin was looking directly at Akira, "It is true you have Wolf's Wrath for your semblance, but can you or can you not control it?"

"Not yet," Akira said, "I just don't know why I can't."

"I see, so what about refusing to take X-rays then?" Ozpin asked.

"It's nothing important," Akira said, "I'm fine."

"Are you certain about this Miss Fang, because the X-ray tells me something different," Ozpin said showing an image of Akira's X-ray, with something circular on top of her spine between her shoulder blades. Appearing to be on the back, "do you care to explain this Miss Fang?"

"It's been on my back since I was a little girl," Akira said, "I have no clue why it's there or what its purpose is. But, I have no way of getting it off."

"So what is it really?" Ozpin asked.

"It's a device that my Uncle planted onto me, I have no idea why but it's been hindering me from controlling my semblance," Akira said.

"How do we get it off?" I asked.

"There's no key to it," Akira said, "it has to be the right temperature, hot enough to be able to get it off, but not too hot for it to melt into my skin or too cold to rip my skin off."

"I can help you with that," I said.

"How?" Akira asked.

"My semblance, Kitsune Spirit can help," I said, "I can wield fire and control it. Meaning I can help you get this thing off."

"Let's get it done then," Akira said.

"You have my permission, but you should let your team and anyone else know. We don't need another incident after what had happened in Professor Oobleck's class," Ozpin said.

"Of course," Akira said.

(Blake POV)

Teams RWBY, ASPR and Sky were at a private infirmary room watching as Akira was in a hospital gown, sitting on the bed as Yoko came back with a box of who knows what.

"Akira, what is going on?" I asked suspiciously.

"Blake, there is a reason why the White Fang and why I still cannot control Wolf's Wrath are both connected," I said.

"What does this have to do about it?" Sky asked.

"The White Fang has been a part of my life," Akira said, "my grandfather started it, my family lived in it, and my uncle is ruining it after I left. He still wants me, because I have Wolf's Wrath."

"So what difference does it make then?" Weiss asked.

"Many things, Wolf's Wrath gives a Wolf Faunus so much, heightened skills for that period of time, but if the Wolf Faunus cannot control it, they become a killing machine," Akira said, "that's why I need this to happen."

"Need what to happen?" Ruby asked.

"Yoko, go ahead," Akira said and just then Yoko sliced the back of the hospital gown, revealing a device made by someone in the White Fang, "I need this removed. It's hindering me from controlling Wolf's Wrath. If it's still there by the time my uncle finds me again, I'll become his pawn."

"Akira, I'm going to get you ready for this to start," Yoko said, "We're going to be taking extra precautions by restraining her down to the bed, torturous yes but it will keep her down and everyone safe. Especially if Wolf's Wrath activates, I just couldn't find something to muzzle her with. We don't have much time either."

"Oh I know, one of Blake's ribbons she uses to wear as her bow," Ruby said, "We can use that. I'll be right back!"

And with that, Ruby disappeared in a flurry or rose petals as Yoko began to shackle her. He was attempting to comfort her as each one was shackled to a leg of the bed. When Ruby came back, I was shocked.

"Why did you bring the entire box?" I asked.

"Well you'll never know if she will rip one and we'll need another one to keep her from biting," Ruby said.

"She does make a good point," Shawn said, "Especially seeing how we are trying to get something good out of this."

"Fine," Blake said, "Go ahead."

"I'm sorry Blake, if I tear any to shreds," Akira said just as one went right over and into her mouth, tied tightly.

"I know it might not be much, but it might be easier if your wolf ears were hindered from your usual hearing capabilities," Ruby said as she took another one and tied that one into a bow almost identical to mine. I could almost say that Akira was trying to say, "You owe me Ruby Rose." Or something like that.

"Okay Akira, we're going to begin now, you might end up with a few burns, but I'll do my best to make that minimal, what we want to do now is to make sure we get this thing off," Yoko said.
