Like Cyber World, this is also a quest transferred over as a story so some bits might seem a little rough. Beyond that, this is a mass crossover featuring a combination of Digimon World/Digimon Adventure/Digimon Savers and even some characters from Digimon Xros Wars.

A complete racket outside woke you from your slumber. You could hear people shouting and screaming. 'Sounds like a fight.' you rolled your eyes, and rolled over in your bed, dragging your pillow with you and curling it around your ears to drown them out.

Honestly, didn't people have any tact? It was your summer vacation, and you wanted to rest in peace without having to put up with all the pretenses and lies you had to pretend with in your everyday life at school, just to keep the suspicion off of you.

Hacking the computers and databases of the human world government was easy as pie compared to what you used to use the skills you inherited from Andromon for. But, there were already enough eyes on you as it were, as an emancipated minor. Hacking the government databases only took you so far when busybodies got mixed in.

It was so mindboggingly tedious having to dumb yourself down and take part with the children your age. It made you horrified to remember that you were once like that. Your mentality had grown much faster due to what you had to do in the digital world, and being exposed to fractions of the memories of digimon much older than you when they passed on some of their skills to you.

Every time one of the teachers tried to talk to you like a child, even though you were one, you were tempted to punch them out. It was demeaning as all hell, for a king to be treated like that!

But honestly, even then, you could barely muster up the enthusiasm to do anything about it. It was too much of a bother to care about.

You eyed the device strapped to your right wrist. Small, rectangular in shape and a golden yellow in colour. And like always, the screen frizzled with static.

Your chest throbbed with pain, and your throat hitched. Even now, after two years apart it hurt to think about your two partner digimon. At least in the beginning, despite being apart from them, you knew they were safe. But a year ago, the screen turned to static. At first, you hoped it was just a glitch, maybe the limited software breaking down, but no, you could see see the inventory and items you had left over stored within it. Which meant, it truly was, from the death of your digimon.

Your mind even now couldn't fathom such an outcome. Your digimon partners were far beyond any normal digimon. Even that cunt Analog and his Chaosdramon couldn't measure up. In their life of that time, by time your digimon were Rookie's, they were as strong as Ultimate Level Digimon, the pinnacle of digimon strength at that time. And they digivolved four times further through your machinations each. So much so, that each of them could easily overpower any of the 'mega-level' Machinedramon Analog had created, and even his 'ultra-level' Chaosdramon stood no chance against your own, even just one on one.

And their forms, in the end, as your own Chaosdramon and Metal Seadramon, had left the limits of a flesh and blood body behind, and become near immortal. The only way they could die, is if they were killed by something with enough power to bring them down. Which you just couldn't believe. The only one who knew how your digimon got to that level, were you and your digimon themselves, you kept the results of your research on how they got so strong to yourselves because of how horrifying the process had been.

That and it might have been selfish. But, your digimon went through hell to get that strong, a hell created by your own hands that you may never forgive yourself for having to do. You weren't about to let others get that power just handed to them.

You sighed. Your eyes dipping closed again. But just as you were about to fall back to sleep while ignoring the ruckus outside. A banging on your front door alerted you.

"Fuck sake!" you growled, throwing your warm, silken bed sheets aside and standing up. You were clad only in a pair of black comfortable shorts, showing off a well muscled build that was quite out of place on one as young as you, and would probably bring up all sorts of worries about stunted growth, if it wasn't for the fact that it was a result of the digital world and your growth was going fine. Plus, you liked the comfortable feel of silk against your skin after all within your bed and marched out of your room, towards the door.

You unlocked the front and jerked it open, an angry snarl on your lips, "What?!"

"Err, hello young human, will you please come with me?" a floating eyed blanket like creature asked, blinking dusky black and gold glowing eyes at you, and gesturing outside with a large dark blue clawed arm.

'...I'm not dreaming am I?' you wondered as you stared at, what was unmistakably a Bakemon standing in your front door. And outside, where you could see tens of dozens of them floating through the building and streets, herding and dragging people away.

You were about to pinch yourself, when a massive glowing beam of light erupted from your right arm, where your V-pet device was strapped. It was too important to ever let out of your sight.

"AAaah!" the Bakemon screamed and flinched back, covering its eyes with its massive blue arms. That's right, Bakemon were pretty terrible for champions. Abysmal physical abilities and many weaknesses, one of them being intense bright light.

As far as Bakemon went. You were pretty much an expert on the species. they were the foundation of your research and plan on making your digimon as strong as they became.

But, for some weird reason, the light did not hurt your eyes, despite how bright it was. Your breath hitched as you looked at the light, seeing it coming from your V-pet, and before your very eyes, the golden rectangular shaped device changed, becoming rounded, and the golden yellow color bleeding off of it, replaced by a light, bluish grey.

'What the hell is going on!?' you panicked.

You stared at the device for a second before old instincts kicked it. You had slacked off a lot in your training since returning to the real world, especially because it was so much harder to gain results in the physical world, on top of your lack of motivation. But, you were still in top form and unless you were facing a training savant, which was unlikely, you had all you needed.

Acting quickly, you surged forward and grabbed the Bakemon by one of its clawed hands still shielding its eyes and jerked it forward, right into the path of your fist.

Bakemon grunted in pain, flinching again from your strike. It allowed you to jerk and pull it around and bury your foot in its back and launch it inside your apartment.

It slammed into the floor with a groan, and made to get up, but you jumped forward and buried your knee into its back, driving it into the pristine and glistening mahogany flooring of your hallway, hard.

While it was stunned, you turned to the coat rack and pulled one of your school ties off and pulled its clawed hands behind it and tied it at the wrist before it could recover. Then repeated with a second tie, and then a third, until you could get your hands on some rope. You had to deliver a hard punch into the back of the Bakemon's head as it struggled, but managed.

You stood up with a huff of breath and pulled your front door shut. For now, it seemed this was the only Bakemon on your floor, so you had some time.

"Now, I think I'm going to need some answers." you spoke evenly, narrowing your eyes at the groaning form of the tied up ghostly digimon on your hall floor.

"W-why the v-violence?" Bakemon stuttered, raising up a bit to look at, "I asked nicely...d-didn't I?" it said, before flopping down onto its face again.

"Sorry instinct," you apologized, a bit abished, but not much. "I wasn't exactly expecting a Bakemon to turn up at my door in the human world."

"..S'fine.." Bakemon mumbled into the mahogany flooring, "I understand."

Now you actually felt bad about the rough treatment. Sighing, you walked over and picked it up and sat it on a stool small table where you left your keys when you came in.

"..Ah..thank you." the ghostly digimon dipped its large oval heard forward and thanked you.

You shook your head, "So what's going on here?" you asked, "Why are digimon in the real world? What happened to Floatia?"

Bakemon blinked, "Floatia? The kids story of that old flying city? That has nothing to do with anything, odd that a human knows of it though," the champion level ghost mused, "As for why we're here, we came on the orders of Lord Myotismon, to find and dispose of the eighth child of the digidestined before they came a threat to him."

..What? Lord Myotismon? You'd met a few Myotismon before. They had some decent power, but their physicals weren't the greatest. Many of them were quite pleasant fellows, Myotismon from the Haunted Castle even taught you how to dress better to make yourself look good and presentable as a king. He was very stylish. How the hell did a Myotismon get to the real world even? And what was a digidestined?

Bakemon's eyes flickered to your wrist and it sighed as it eyed the grey device that had become of your V-pet, "It's just my rotten luck I'd be the one to run into the Eighth child," it shook its head, "And he didn't even need his partner digimon to bring me down, just did it himself...hah...I suck. I didn't even want to do this."

So it was forced into this? You filed that away for now and instead held up your wrist, "You know what this thing is?" you asked.

"You don't?" Bakemon asked, puzzled, "It's your digivice is it not? Lord Myotismon explained to us that it allowed the Digidestined to digivolve their digimon all the way up to the champion level as they pleased, and skip over the processes digimon normally have to go through, and with their crests, Myotismon has yours by the way, it allowed them to even reach the Ultimate Level."

Your jaw dropped as you processed the information dropped on you.

...What?

...WHAT!?

Skip the processes? You'd found a way to do that yourself, but only at specific levels, and the creation of items needed for that took a lot of time to make. What kind of bullshit was this you were hearing? You needed to study the data of digimon religiously, memorize mind numbing amounts of data, and take days, even weeks to create any of the items needed. And that was with Andromon's and Giromon's knowledge helping you. Before that, you had to raise your digimon up and fill all the requirements needed for them to digivolve.

...But apparently these people just had items that let them skip it all? And they just were given to them, if the way yours came about was any confirmation.

'That's such bullshit!' you growled internally. It took a moment for you to calm yourself. A king after all cannot lose his composure so easily, especially for something so minor as jealousy. So what if they had such cheaty and easy ways of digivolving handed to them. Digivolving only enhanced what was there already. If they did not train their digimon, their digimon would be lack-luster compared to the ones of the same level that put all their effort into achieving the digivolution.

You shook your head, "What about the Digital World itself?" you asked, "Who's the ruling power there now?"

"What weird questions," Bakemon mused before shaking its head, "Well, better than having your partner delete me I guess. Lord Myotismon is the ruling power on the continent of Server. Etemon used to be a contender, but he was killed by the Digidestined. And Devimon ruled File Island for a long while, but he was killed by the Digidestined as well."

Your legs trembled and you almost collapsed at the sheer shock of what you just heard. File Island was a massive super continent! Devimon, as in the guy who sold you food, ruled over that? And the way this Bakemon referred to Server as a continent yet File Island as an island still, meant Server was bigger. And yet, a Myotismon ruled it?

'What the hell happened to my kingdom!?' you thought in outrage. For a moment, you saw red. What happened to the kingdom you invested so much time in, fighting while shedding tears and blood to protect?

You might have just started thrashing the ever loving shit out of the house around you, if Bakemon did not speak up, "...So...I don't suppose you'll spare me and not kill me?" the ghostly champion asked, breaking you from your haze of rage, "Lord Myotismon forced me to work for him, I don't wanna hurt anybody."

You sighed and leaned back against the wall, almost slumping into it, "I'm not going to kill you," you assured Bakemon, "I only kill evil digimon or mindless ones."

"..Oh, well that's a relief," Bakemon slumped, "I might be a virus type, but I'm a good guy, I don't hurt people unless I need to."

It fell silent then, and you did too. Musing, thinking. What to do? It seemed it really was possible to open a portal again between the human and digital world. But, even if you went there now. What was there for you? Your partners were gone, your kingdom just a fairy tail apparently.

You eyed the device on your wrist. The cheat device as you mentally labelled it. Even still, the front screen on it, was filled with static, just like when it was a V-pet. You idly traced your fingers over it and pressed one of the buttons, to your surprise, it opened up a next screen, similar to your V-pet, and it looked like...an item storage?

Yeah, right there was the items you had in your V-pet, they got saved huh? "Hey, do these things work in the human world?" you asked idly.

"Mm?" Bakemon looked up before nodding yeah, "Oh yeah, sure they do. I saw that goggle headed one last night when he came to pick a fight with Lord Myotismon, he digivolved his Agumon into a Greymon and then a Metal Greymon."

...Wait, and Myotismon wasn't dead yet? Metal Greymon was one of the most powerful Ultimates there were. Far more fire power with their Giga Blaster than a Myotismon could compete with, and their physicals were massively different. Myotismon spec'd into special abilities and power. Metal Greymon spec'd into massive physical power. The average one was a dinosaur over fifty feet tall after al, enhanced with cybernetic parts. They traded special abilities in for the raw massive power of their Giga Blasters.

All in all, Metal Greymon were a superior species for direct combat. You pursed your lips, "If one of them has a Metal Greymon, what do the other 6 have?" you asked. Since apparently he thought you were the eighth. You couldn't be though, your partners were dead and gone.

"Hmm, well I know the orange haired girl has a Garudamon, and the spiky haired guy has a WereGarurumon that fought Lord Myotismon the other night," Bakemon hummed, "There's one with a Togemon I think. The youngest has an Angemon I heard, since it's all rumoured it was the one to beat Devimon. I'm pretty sure one has a Mega Kabuterimon, and the last definitely has an Ikkakumon, I saw it on television the other day."

...He had to be shitting you. A Metal Greymon, Garudamon, Were Garurumon and Mega Kabuterimon, with an Angemon and Togemon as back up. And whatever the Ikkakumon was, you hadn't ever heard of that digimon. And yet...they couldn't beat one measly Myotismon?

You beat Myotismon once with an Agumon. Granted, your Agumon was overpowered as hell, but still!

you shook your head and focused on the 'digivice' as Bakemon called it. Taking your mind off of the sheer incompetence of these other kids with digimon. You idly pressed down on the button, scrolling over the top item within it.

Leomon's Sword. huh, you forgot you had that. Leomon had given it to you as a gift. You'd stopped using it when you had made chrome digizoid armour and weapons.

You pocked at the buttons for a second, and then you barely held back a yelp of shock as the device made a whirling noise, and in a flash of light, Leomon's sword appeared from the device, the same way items appeared form your V-pet within the Digital World back in the day.

You gaped down at the sword within your hand.

"What the heck, where did that sword come from!?" Bakemon did yelp out though.

You eyed the sword for a moment before realisation hit you. And you scrolled through your items. There wasn't much there, since you stopped storing things in your V-pet, but there, while there were some useless things like some meat and mushrooms, there were multiple enhancement edibles...and more importantly.

Rainbow Horn. Coral Charm. White Fang. Fireball.

Digivolution items, created by you through studying the data of many, many digimon. You used to have hundreds of these. Now only down to a pitiful four. But with these, you could instantly digivolve any digimon into the forms of the digimon the items contained the data framework of.

A small, yet delighted smirk curled through your lips, "Hey Bakemon," you spoke up, "What do you say you kick Myotismon to the curb and become my follower instead?"

"..I'm sorry what?" Bakemon blinked at you in confusion.

"I'm not the digidestined you're looking for," you instead answered with, "I don't know about this digivice here, but my partner digimon, that this device connected to, are both dead."

"Oh.." Bakemon said quietly, "..I'm sorry to hear that?"

"It's fine," you waved him off, even if it wasn't, "I might not be digidestined, but I have been to the digital world before. Two years ago in my time, yet thousands of years have probably passed in the digital world since time moves faster over there." It had been easy to keep track, after all, the V-pet did in fact monitor the digimons ages. And both Chaosdramon and Metal Seadramon, were over two thousand years old before they died.

"Still...what does this have to do with me?" Bakemon asked, "Even if I joined you, Myotismon would make short work of us if you don't have a partner digimon."

You rolled your eyes, "Myotismon is a small time digimon, I defeated plenty of them when I was in the digital world before, and a Devimon was the guy who went got me food back then, like an errand boy," you said. A bit embellished, but not a lie either, "I didn't have one of these cheaty digivice things back then either, I just trained and raised my digimon myself."

"...It's tempting, I won't lie," Bakemon shrugged his ghostly shoulders, "But won't that take time?"

"I can make you digivolve right now easily, some of the stuff I had in the digital world before has transferred to this digivice," you said, showing it off, "Besides, I saw tens of dozens of Bakemon out there, Myotismon isn't gonna notice one single one gone."

"..." Bakemon was silent for a moment, before dipping his head a few seconds later, "Okay."
