I don't own Shugo Chara.
My life has been one sucky event after the other. My boyfriend died... or at least I thought he did. My best friend turned into a bitch, and now I'm finding out the world is full of demons and angels. Throw in the fact that I just learned my possibly dead boy friend isn't really dead, having faked his death leaving me traumatized beyond repair.
Then there is Ikuto...who leaves me hating his guts yet wanting him. I sighed as I watched Utau talk to to a upset looking Kukai. "Calm down!... " I heared Utau snap. "Calm down?"
" You want me to calm down! Utau Ikuto is getting in the way and Amu doesn't even know the full extent of her destiny!" Kukai yelled. I had never thought I'd hear Kukai yelling, he was always laid back when I saw him.
Destiny, a word I didn't like. It implies that our lives our pre-planned. I'd like to believe we have a choice in life yet here I am listening to two non humans speak of my own destiny. I longed for the days when I had nothing to worry about besides which outfit to wear.
Right at this moment I really could care less about this destiny business or some stupid prophecy. I was tired In All ways possible physically, emotionally, and mentally. I was sick of not getting full answers and sick of one stupid event after the other happening to me. I am only human, humans can only take so much before they break.
Couldn't life be normal for me? I wish I could just flip everyone the bird and go back to being a stupid kid running around not questioning a thing. "..mu...amu!" I was brought out of my thoughts by a screeching Utau.
"What!" I snapped frustrated with my own life. I ignored her glare, keeping my face blank and void. "I said we have to go like now!" She snapped back.
I looked around to find Kukai was no longer in the room. "Where?" I asked raising a brow in confusion. "You weren't listening at all were you! "
Utau stated when pinching the bridge of her nose. She sighed finally, "Amu we are taking you somewhere safe okay? The kings men will eventually find you if we stay here... they have hell hounds. Which are excellent trackers as well as nasty beast."
In response I merely nodded having no energy to protest or ask more. After all its not like I really have a choice either way these people just pop up when they want. I followed Utau outside and into the line of trees behind the hotel. There Kukai was waiting.
"Amu Kukai is going to take you cus I have to go speak with a old friend first." Utau said leaving me baffled but still I didn't let it show instead I merely shrughed. Kukai grinned and held his hand out for me. I hesitated only a second before grasping his hand.
Immediatly I felt the odd buzzing I get each time these people teleport or whatever it is they are doing. In a flash it was over and I fell to the ground a bit dizzy. I quickly took Kukai's hand which he offered, and allowed him to help me up and steady me. I didn't fail to notice his eyes scanning the visible hickies.
Sighing he gave a sad smile before reaching up and gently brushing my skin. I felt the cooling sensation and knew he was once again removing the marks. "I can't remove his claim but... the marks aren't there." Kukai said solemnly.
"Thanks..." I trailed off awkwardly. He only nodded in response. I looked around taking the silence to study my surroundings. I blinked feeling dumbfounded.
"Uh Kukai I don't think it worked we are in a forest." I said feeling nervous. He busted out in a deep manly chuckle that boomed through the forest. "A..Amu we aren't in the human world anymore."
His revelation shocked me, "what! Where exactly are we?" I asked feeling slightly angry that I wasn't warned ahead of time. Note to self ask for point of destination before allowing someone to teleport me somewhere.
Great I'm beginning to sound really crazy now. "We are in between both heaven and earth. Surely you didn't believe humans could be the only living thing in a space full of galaxies did you?" My expression must have said it all in fact I had thought just that. He busted out laughing once again.
"You can just refer to this place as the other world. Not very catchy but it's accurate." Kukai's said before taking my hand once again and leading me through the trees. "Amu I know this has got to be hard on you... and I'm sorry for that but so many lives and your world depend on you."
In response I balled my fist up to try to remain calm and opted for silence. Finally Kukai sighed, "eventually you will see." Was the last thing he said.
