Hello dear readers,
I kept putting off writing this in the hopes of it not being necessary. I much prefer posting chapters as updates rather than author notes as I feel it must be very annoying to get an alert for an update only to find out it isn't new material to read. Unfortunately I have not been able to work on this in the way I have wanted to and I cannot see that changing for at least a couple of months.
I apologise for disappearing without letting you know what is happening. Those of you who check my blog will know I've been having a pretty horrible time. I've suffered writing burn out from the PhD which has affected my fanfiction writing as well. It will resolve once I finish the PhD and my stress levels become more manageable. I also became very seriously ill and spent some time in hospital. I'm trying to recover from that too.
This note is to let you know I have not abandoned this story. I still have my notes. I still have all my ideas. I just cannot work on it and update it regularly right now. I need to finish my PhD first. Trying to do both splits my focus so that I do not do justice to either and I end up stressed over not updating this fic AND stressed over the PhD. I have been very stressed over how long it has been since my last update of this and that is not helpful at all.
Anyway, I cannot give you a definite timeframe for when the hiatus will end. It depends on too many things but I just wanted to put it out there that I have not forgotten the story. I do plan to continue it and I really appreciate your support and the lovely messages I have received.
