I decided as far as canon goes that this takes place after jail beak which is supposed to be the season finale for now with the last two episodes after it being stand alone stories aftet the fact. Like i said in chapter two these chapters are only a thousand words because of how short the show normally is but i feel i can truly get these updated sooner not because of length but because i really love this series.
Steven was confused as he felt Garnet pull him along. "Um Garnet why are you holding my hand?" Garnet shrugged as they walked towards the warp pad having gotten introductions of the way. "I haven't seem you in weeks Steven Ruby and Sapphire missed you." Steven smiled while Diamond raised an eyebrow. "Then why are you also holding mine?" Garnet shrugged. "Thought you might want to feel included." Diamond made an attempt to respond before conceding and stepping on the warp pad. "It is nice."
"Should we stop them?" Diamond glowed before several crystals floated around him as Amethyst's whip tried to grab him and he backpedaled jumping away from Pearl's energy blast low to the ground seemingly gliding backwards. "No but i think we should warn them." Steven looked at her through his magic sight. "About what?" Garnet shrugged. "Your friend in more powerful than he lets on. They might be in over their heads." Steven looked at Diamond as he launched his crystals guiding Amethyst closer before running and grabbing her by her arm spinning and tossing her over his shoulder shooting her back at Pearl. "I don't think thats a problem, Diamond's not taking them seriously, in fact he hasn't taken his eyes off of you this entire time.
Garnet sounded mildly interested. "He hasn't?" Steven shrugged. "You fascinate him." Garnet looked at Steven. "I didn't think you knew that word." Steven smiled. "Diamond taught it to me." A bright light made them turn to the left, Opal stood there drawing her bow. "That doesn't seem good." Garnet decided to watch with her full attention now. "Lets see how he does." Diamond stood opening the ports on his back as his blue pupils went black. 'No need to mode change.' Opal gathered power before letting it fly raining dozens of arrows. Diamond took off running energy blasting out his back like rockets closing three fourths of the large beach's length before the arrow left the bow and was past them by the time they split shifting his arm into a blade and slicing Opal in half width wise careful to avoid her gems.
"Whoo, that was a thing." Diamond stood there for a second letting his body recover, he's exhausted himself using that much power to beat Opal so quickly. He moved his gemstone down into his stomach just as he turned Pearl's spear hitting him and going through his chest and poking out the back side. "Huh who'd have thought i had a cleavage window in the center of my chest?" Diamond pulled it out ignoring even Garnet's shocked face. "Diamond!" He shrugged before crystal began forming over Pearl's spear. "I'm fine Steven." Diamond showed his hand where a ten sided star with a round hole appeared. "I can shift the place of my gem to avoid damaging it, even alter its size. The people who made me didn't want there weapons broken so easily."
Diamond's gem popped back on his chest before it sunk back into it like a rock in water. "Pretty cool right?" Amethyst deadpanned. "This guys weird."
"Thank you Garnet." Diamond took a sip of the tea, despite never needing to make it she was pretty good. "So introductions are in order, i'm Blue Diamond but my friends call me Daymond. Steven's told me allot about each of you but i'd like to hear from you personally." "I'm Pearl and i apologize for jumping to such rash conclusions when you came through the warp pad." Diamond shrugged. "No harm done you were looking out for Steven." Amethyst was still suspicious. "Why are your eyes closed?" Diamond shrugged. "I can't see." Amethyst face palmed ''Of course you can't your eye are closed." Garnet patted her shoulder. "He means he's blind." Amethyst was confused. "Whats blind mean?" Pearl got up covering her face and got silently screamed in the corner. "It means his eyes dont work."
Steven looked at him confused. "Why aren't you using your magic sight?" Pearl got out from the corner sitting back down at the couch. "Magic sight?" Diamond let loose a blast of magical energy returning his 'sight' to him. He chuckled nervously as the gem summoned their weapons. "I uh kinda thought it'd be rude." Steven shrugged. "He's really honest." Diamond rolled his eyes. "Steven in earth culture Diamonds are the stone of truth, i literally can't lie, i mean i don't think i can the thought never really think to do it, it could be part of what they did to me i honestly don't know." Steven looked confused. "Who did what to you?" Diamond sighed putting down him cup looking sadly at his newest human friend.
"Steven there a many things i can tell you about, but my past isn't one of those things, at least not yet, it still fresh in my mind and it'll stay that way for a long time. The only damage i have to show for all i've gone through is only my mind give me a chance to focus for a little while, i, i need to think." Diamond got up and left the room out the front door leaving them all confused. "Whats with him do you think he's lying?" Garnet stood there for a couple seconds. "He'll tell us everything in time, he's wondering how we'll handle it." Garnet left the room going to the temple. Steven yawned. "Well i'ma take a nap." Steven focussed learning to use Diamonds vision as his own and made his way to his bed.
It was nightfall when Garnet found Diamond sitting on the beach listening to the waves. "So, hows it going?" Diamond rolled his eyes. "You don't have make small talk with me, Steven says you're bad at it anyway." Garnet didn't react to that but she sat down. "Do you know how many other species there are in space?" She shook her head not understanding the question. "Well i don't know either but i can tell you there are allot less now, i should know i helped conquer them." Garnet looked at him out the corner of her eyes. "Is this what you didn't want to tell Steven?" Diamond shook his head. "No he has a dight to know, after the trust he's put in me to come this far with me he deserves as much. Listen your a fusion right?" Garnet looked at him surprised though only her covered eyes showed that.
"I guessed as much, it feels like three people are sitting next to me right now just like, Opal was it? Felt like Amethyst and Pearl were in the same place." Diamond rolled his shoulders. "I guess i should tell you where I'm going with this, i guess you could say I'm a different kind of fusion." Diamond turned to face her fully before sighing preparing himself. "Mode change Red Diamond" He kept his eyes on her as his entire world exploded into pain.
Scene, Diamond is very different than a regular gem possessing abilities gems don't but some have similar ones like Steven's magic sight that he can only shoot in one direction at least at the moment.
