Has it ever confused you that we never see what kinds of powers other gems have? I mean in the show theres no real build up to what their capable of it just sort of happens no foreshadowing or preammble just hey this gem can do this. Its not a big complaint or anything i just cant help but notice it.
Topaz glared feeling uneasy. "You know i've been wanting to kick you where it hurts ever since i found out you stole my name." Fake diamond rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry but who are you exactly?" Topaz scoffed. "As if you need to know but it would be rude so, my name is Mystic Topaz. I'm a fusion who hasn't existed for very long and today was kinda important, Steven and Daimond were gonna give me the chance to meet everyone, sure i have their memories but the others know next to nothing about me." Topaz's hand tightened as he glared harder. "This was supossed to be a good day but then Peridot shows up ends up making you and you tried to kill all my friends." Fake diamond chuckled and it made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.
"Tried isn't really the word, succeeded is a better one." The Crystal gems flinched with Topaz seeing it through his magic sight. "I see." Topaz pulsed sending his senses out as far as he could. "This was supossed to be my day and a good one, but then you ruined my day so give me a minute and then i'm gonna come over there and ruin your day." A portal appeared and Lion jumped through Steven and Diamond hopping off his back. "So you got to them?" Topaz nodded before moving over to Peridot. "Please get up." Topaz shot an energy blast into her gem making her jolt awake. Peridot wrapped her arms around herself trying to become as small as possible without actually shrinking. "I know you probably have mental trauma that needs to be adressed but we have a problem."
Topaz groaned as even more robots appeared through the destroyed crevice. "Of course there's more, guys like them always, have more." Everyone got reasy to fight before Topaz summoned his shield and cannon. "Guys." Steven and Daimond braced him before he began spinning his shield energy focussing before being let loose creating a blast that nearly toppled everyone. Fake diamond appeared before Topaz before sending them all flying away from each other as the large gem animals chose their targets.
BRUISERS
Topaz skid to a halt on his feet while Garnet and Jasper landed in a tangle of limbs as Fake diamond kept pushing Topaz back leaving the other two to deal with the massive wolf. It was fast claws sinking into the ground where they were an instant ago before turning and clawing at Jasper who dodged before shoulder checking the creature. A sound was heard and the wolf ducked down laying its body on the ground as Garnet's Gauntlets passed over head nearly hitting Jasper. "Watch it crazy!" Garnet shrugged right before a pair of jaws wrapped around her the wolf trying to crush her in its mouth. Garnet tried to pry the wolfs jaws open while it held her horizontally trying to bite her down the middle.
Jasper smacked into its back making its knees buckle and allowing Garnet to escape before resummoning her gauntlets before hitting the wolf in the face it growled before sparking with energy and biting Garnets arm. Jasper found herself glued to the wolf started spinning sidways dragging them both with it was it smashed its body against the ground litterally sticking them both between a rock and a hard place before it righted itself and tossed Jasper off tossing Garnet at her for good measure. The two landed in yet another undignified heap before slowly pulling themselves up begrudgingly helping each other as Jasper gripped her wrecked helmet. "This things tough." Jasper grunted tossing off her helmet and summoning a new one.
Garnet cracked her neck grinning mirthfully. "What to tough for you?" Jasper grunted chuckling lightly. "Pleeease maybe if your lucky i'll leave a piece for you when i'm done with it." The two gems in that brief moment bonded ever so slopightly becoming more than ememies but still less than friends, it was a start if nothing else. The two tensed as the wolf growled before charging them both as they did the same.
BRAINS
Diamond dove to the side as a laser blast from the hawks eyes carved up the ground before shooting a laser blast at the crook of its wings while Peridot and Pearl did the same from behind a few crystal covers he made to shield them. The hawk spun manuvering in ways that would have the greatest pilots in the world green with envy as Diamond analysed its every move. "Ehg this is hopeless, you clods are slowing me down!" Diamond rolled his eyes before he noted the rock towers to their left. "I've got it you two move it over to the towers if we get it out of open are we can outmanuver it." Diamond mode changed pulling yhem along as the hawk followed shooting at them. The rock towers were pretty far away and Diamond could see Steven Lapis and Amethyst leading the serpent towards the ravine.
Diamond kept up pace just fast enough to not outrun the hawk as it kept firing at them. "What are you doing you precursor clod?!" Diamond rolled his eyes annoyed by her. "Were out manuvering it. Pearl since you can't wall runn you keep its attention on you and lure it to one of the higher rock towers. Peritot and i'll will collapse it on top of it, it won't keep it down for good but it should leave us able to back up the others. Topaz passed overhead crashing into the ground before blocking an energy blast from false Daimond and kicking him in the face and tossing him away before flying after him. "Lets go!" The three scattered as the Hawk saw Pearl shapeshift into a bird and followed her.
BEAUTY
Steven grunted as the serpents scales glowed and it opened its mouth sending a constant stream of lightning at them as they were forced further back. Finally the flow ceased causing Steven to drop his shield and Amethyst whipped at its face but the serpent caught it in its mouth. "Wuh oh." It yanked her forward before its tail lashed out but Steven appeared in front of her giant shield repulsing the attack and allowing Lapis a chance to make more water. The serpent fired a stream of hot steam right at Lapis but Amethyst spin attack and Steven's energy blast knocked the ground out from under it allowing Lapis the chance to evade. The hot air had only slight moisture in it so it scalded Lapis badly but Steven was by her side healing her immediately. "Get clear!" Topaz seemed to have gotten a reprive and smashed the ground making it shake before tossing Steven a bow. He released a gaw sound as he was tackled again but he kicked with both legs sending fake diamond flying parralell to the ground.
Steven had a flash of inpiration before he pulled the string back. "Mode change Hope Diamond!" Steven's clothing turned grayish blue as he focussed all his power into the arrow before shooting it into the air. "Great attack steven but the monsters over there!" Amethyst was pulled by Steven as he created a giant shield over them. Something flashed bright in the sky before dozens of arrows rained down from the sky bombarding the area and making the downed and illprepared serpent cry out in pain as it fell over one more time. Steven fell over exhausted beyond imagining as the serpent's form poofed away leaving behind a relatively small gem. Amethyst picked it up bubbling it before teleporting it away. "Come one we need to help the others."
BRAINS
Pearl flapped her wings faster as the hawk gained speed on her, she barely flew out of the way of an energy blast before another hit her in the back knocking her out of the sky. Diamond's eyes widened before he dove forward mode changing as he ran to Pearl's side as Peridot charged up a shot. He slammed into the hawk shapeshifting and growing larger as he clawed at it with his talons looking like a giant bird fight as they tumbled and smashed apart the rock ways that were closing in. Diamond angled himself so the giant hawk couldn't make any meaningfull flaps literally taking the wind out from underneath its wings as his thrusters kept him balanced and his gravity powers pulled them down faster. They slammed the ground hard Diamond's form smashing into the cliffside as the Hawk slid along the ground. "Now" Peridot fired at the tower they were preparing and the whole structure collapsed sending rocks falling on them both.
Diamond grit his teeth as his red Diamond form cracked under the several tons of rock before he mode changed again. "Mode change white diamond." He slowly moved dirt and matter out of his way solid rock behaving like water as he slowly swan to the surface. He popped out surprising them as the rock rumbled before shifting as a poof sounded. "Well that worked better than i thought." Diamond clenched his hand and the gem rose up the rock rippling as he pulled the gem to the surface. He stepped off and handed the gem to the injured Pearl who bubbled and teleported it away. Pearl admired Daimond new form it was slim and pale almost alibastor in its complexion, his face was narrow but elegant like a shiny white Pearl. Is was white diamond, which all Kenetite users came from, Diamond himself. He shrugged before givving some of his power up to heal and reenergize Pearl. "Lets go."
BRUISERS
Jasper jumped back as the wolfs claws shatted another helmet growling in frustration. Garnet huffed creating another pair of sunglasses to cover her eyes. "This is hard for me to say but i have a plan, and i need your help." Steven Amethyst and Lapis appeared running up to them, the wolf growled backing away to keep all of them in his line of sight. "Can we help?" Jasper nodded before relaying her plan to them. Lapis smiled she had just enough water to make this work. "Lets go!" Steven and Amethyst charged Steven firing shots with the bow while Amethyst whipped aiming for the wolfs eyes. Being an earth creature with survival instincts the wolf shied away causing it to take attacks at its front while Lapis planted water at Jasper's feet. Garnet got into position holding still as a stone to not make a sound as the wolf was herded to her.
"Now!" Lapis shot the water stright up launching Jasper high into the air while Garnet grabbed the wolf by the tail and swinging it around before launching it up into the air. Jasper came down like a meteor slamming inot the wolf's under belly and crashing the ground causing it to shake. Jasper groaned where she lay her shattered helmet and her ears ringing as she tried to pull herself up. Topaz appeared as Fake diamond crashed someways away. "I got this one." He slung her arm over his shoulder as he helped her stand and pulsed his healing energy. "That was a really smart plan, you did good." Jasper huffed embarrassed to hear sincere praise after so long. "Th-thanks." topaz smiled and let her go surprising her slightly. "Anytime."
Diamond, Pearl, and Peridot appeared next as Garnet bubbled and teleported the gem away. "So you bested my creations seems like a waste in hindsight." All of them tensed facing Fake Diamond. "So Jasper Peridot, you friends with them now?" Jasper looked to consider it for a while before snorting and growling angrily. "I don't need any friends." Jasper winced, that proclamation didn't sound strong it sounded weak and emotionally vunerable like she was telling people to please not be her friend. "Oh right, hoping to protect them right? I mean everyone of your friends always end up dead, like what was that one black gems name. Was it Onyx?" Jasper grit her teeth tears beginning to pool. "Shut...up" Fake Topaz smiled leaning back a little. "Getting a stong feeling it was Onyx." Jasper ground her teeth together as tears began to spill.
"She died pathetically too, killed so easily by that fusion what was its name? Sugilite? No, Opal, no that ain't it either. Sardonyx naw that's not right Oh yeah wasn't it called Rainbow Quar-" Jasper launched her spin attack. "SHUT UUUUUUP!" Fake Diamond smirked cocking a fist back before slamming it into her gut causing her to scream right before he put his hand over her mouth charging an energy blast. "YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT DEATH TASTE LIKE JASPER IT AIN'T NO CAPTAIN CRUNCH!" Topaz slashed his arm clean through before kicking Fake diamond away. He grit his teeth in pain as his arm reformed and crystalized. "Heheh, if only you'd been that fast saving Greg and Connie." Steven felt the heart he didn't even have in his chest stop. "W-what?" Fake diamond chuckled as Topaz, Steven, and Diamond started shaking in anger. "Whats it been, ten-twenty minutes. Even if he survived the smashing and the blasting he's surely drowned by now. And poor poor Connie, some poeple just can't survive smashing through solid rock with 50G's of force."
Steven felt something snap inside him something dark and foul as he felt energy surge through him. Sorrow, anguish, and most alarmingly of all Steven learned the one emotion he never seemed capable of having. Steven Quartz Universe learned to feel hatred.
SCENE
Kenetite- any gem power that allows for the manipulation of matter or energy directly from ones gem, an ability unique to Blue Daimond and him alone, any power similar is derived from him and his ability to control gravity and crystal.
As for Jasper and Peridot this is not their redemption at least not yet, Peridot has allot of explaining to do and Jasper is still in her shell, slowly she'll work out of it but she does retreat every once in a while. I like the idea that this Jasper is less angry what with thinking for a while Steven was dead she thought her revenge was complete but has realized the emptyness of these feelings and abandoned them. Peridot is slowly but surely acknowledging others, not out loud but still. Jasper is a ball of conflict right now with allot of mellow, most of the time, she's not calm and collected but unsure of how to feel.
