I getting more distant from them, I can't even scream! I got no choices, when you get dangerous situation and someone cover your mouth and grab your hands (even though this one didn't grab my hands though) , all you can do is bite the someone hands! Then i bite with all my tooth strength till the one who covering my mouth end up yelling how hurt it is his hands and leave his hand from my mouth. I turned the one who dragging me and that person was have a weird high blue hair, carrying staff and hat. His face kinda... looks like fox? "Who... Who are you?" I hesitate ask him. "Ouch... You bite me really hard no da, I was protecting you priestess of suzaku, kuto men want to hurt you no da!" Kuto men?.. when I was about asking him how did he knows me or the kuto, "well, I have to go now goodbye no da!" He put his hat and he slowly vanished on his hat, like the hat was eaten him up. I check the hat and there's no a hole in the hat, is he magician? I heard tamahome calling and run toward me. "Miaka! What happened are you okay?" "Yeah... " I still look at the hat and wondering... Why they wanna hurt me? And we heard nuriko voice and we run toward nuriko place. Then we saw a lots dead body lying on the ground have a lots blood and arrow on their body. I automatically scream. Tamahome quickly run his hands on my waist trying to calm me down "don't look miaka, what happened here nuriko?" "Just like what you see. We were ambushed by arrows, when miaka disappear and you run after her, these arrows flying toward her direction where she was! Glad that I managed avoid it" nuriko said with soothing his heart after what happen, I can't believe it... This men all died because of me?... I reminded that fox man words "He warned me... They wanna hurt me.. it's my fault that they die... It's my-" I didn't finished my words because tamahome sudden hug, he do this for soothing my fear was took over me, it's warm and comfortable... But still I can't relax...
After that scene tamahome brought us to his friend house and treat us a food. I eat while explaining them what happens while I get dragged By the fox man. Since I can't reject the food and it's so tasty... Yummy! "It seems the shock didn't change your appetite" said nuriko while looking at me with strange face. "So...Like I said *gulp* the fox man told me kutou men want to hurt me *chewing the food*" "well, it's natural the other empire see the priestess of suzaku as a treat, so they want to eliminated" tamahome said calmly. me as a treat?... all I want in this world just granted my wishes and searching yui chan and now... Next morning
I already wake up because some noises woke me up from outside. It sounds like a footsteps? Being curious me, i quietly open the windows and i saw tamahome putting his things on his horse, go somewhere? And he getting on the horse and slowly go somewhere away from this house. Where is he go so early in the morning? I can't stop the curious me, i wanna follow him! I try wake nuriko from his sleeping beauty but it doesn't works. I got an idea! I take my flashlight, opened one of his eyes, and... Click! And instant he woke up after one seconds get light on his eyes and screamed hell loud. Then we managed successful followed tamahome from behind him. Nuriko still rubbing his eyes because early incident. "You idiot! If i go blind you will pay for this!" But i ignores his words and still look at the one in front of me still don't know we were follow him and heading somewhere we don't know place. After like 30 minutes we were wonder in the forest but now we were arrived at village. Then tamahome was get warm greeting by someone he know. Is this his hometown? Then we arrived at his house. I dunno why i getting happy because i know this is his hometown. I saw a four kids on his house, after they saw tamahome they quickly call him brother and run toward tamahome hugging them. Tamahome smile... It was the biggest smile i see... There is tamahome side i don't know... They getting inside the house, it's rude but we were eavesdropping from outside. It's not like have a choice i'm so curious about him. "Miaka, are we must eavesdropping on them?" Nuriko ask me. "If you don't want to then go other place" he doesn't answer me but i know he curious about tamahome too. Then we heard tamahome talk to her father. "Dad, i'm home! Look how i gain the money! How do you feel dad?" "Tamahome, thanks a lot... Besides chuuei take care of the farm" "really? Chuuei good job! I'm proud of you" "but i'm no good at all, they didn't growing up" "but still is a good job for you" "tamahome... I forget about hide from tamahome and jumping his house windows and saw his little sister fainted. I ignore their shocked my appearance and check her temperature on her forehead. "It's burning, she got fever! Where's her bed? Put over her a lot blanket!" "Yes ma'am!" "Get something cold tower on her forehead!" "Yes!" "Where's medicine and water!?" "Here ma'am!" Now is much better... "So...?" Tamahome asking me. Gik! I really forget about tamahome when I take care yuiren... "You followed me?" If there's a hole in ground I really want jump in that hole... Then i take the fox hat put on my head... I waiting for disappear on this hat though I know I can't disappeared. "How could you disappear on that things, idiot!" "Is she brother wife?" His little brother ask him. Wife? The blood rush toward my cheeks... My cheeks burning like there's a fire inside, I bet my cheeks red like apple. "O, o-f cou- cou- course not!" Tamahome said while stuttering. "That's right! I'm still junior high school! It's still early for me become bride!" I denied about me become his wife although... "Although they denied, they already reached very very far level, mister" nuriko report to tamahome dad, tamahome dad quickly acting like he fainted. Since when nuriko got inside!? "Don't make jokes with that serious face! And dad! Why you acting like that!? For crying out loud, that's why I don't wanna you guys know i'm go back home!" Tamahome blushing too.. "brother..." Her sister so called yuiren sickly calling tamahome, she really love tamahome don't she? "Tamahome i get the water for her, you stay with yuiren chan okay?" When I was about reached the bucket tamahome calling me and said "miaka... Thank you" my cheeks burning again, geez why I get quick blushing!? "Um.. yeah" I quickly take the bucket and search river to take the water. I feel like I was his really wife, hihi! But. Reality hit me, how can I be his wife? When he was just a character from book? I can't be his wife neither girlfriend. I can't thinking about this! The reason and goal i've been here is find yui chan! So we have to gather the warrior fast for protect konan too! Then i heard unfamiliar voice "you okay?" I was about answer him but I stopped when I heard "you priestess of suzaku right?" And I saw an ax aiming me
