To start this off, I want to reply to a guest email that I forgot to reply to in the last chapter. I'm so sorry _
Hanla Hetalia: I'm happy you like my fic so much! To be honest, these are always fun to write, even though they're supposed to be depressing. :3 I hope you keep reading it!
For those of you who have read this fic before -coughsPlumcotcoughs-, I kind of changed to order of the chapters to make more sense XD Hopefully this will be okay _
This is kinda...creepy. Half based on Black Butler (DO NOT WATCH IT IT'S AMAZING BUT SCARRING DX I WILL NEVER GET OVER THOSE DOLLS) Hopefully, I live up to it's reputation.
This is for my friend Sebastian. Yes, I know I did you already but c'mon! You're awesome, my friend.
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THIS
"Fuck, it's so quiet!" I complained.
(If you were wondering, yes, I have the ability to curse in dreams.)
My Boston-trip roommates were sitting on various couches and beds, some which I don't believe exist in real life. Lizzy and Kiku sat on the bed next to me reading books, while Feli did stretching exercises on the floor next to my bed. Tino had curled up in the furthest corner from me with some book that I couldn't see the title of.
Damn! I need to get my eyes checked again!
For once, they were absolutely silent. No loud music in the background. No arguing or scolding. Even Tino wasn't yelling his balls off like usual - and to be honest, it scared me. I hate to admit it, but it's unsettling to dwell in a noiseless environment. It reminds me so much of the time...Never mind...Don't tell ANYONE I said that, smart-asses, or I'll rip every damn muscle off your bones!
"Deal with it." Kiku, on the other hand, liked "tranquility, as he called it, when he was ready for bed. Oddly enough, he needed at least one light on when he was sleeping. (I honestly believe that he's afraid of the dark, but don't tell him I said that or he'll kill me).
His tiny candle flickered pitifully, the wax dripping down the side of the old-fashioned holder. For once, he wasn't reading hentai, thank the Lord. Instead, he held a copy of one of the Song of theLioness Quartet books, Lizzy's favorite real book series, not the hentai.
The thing was Kiku's eyes are horrible - he usually needed more light, not some pathetic candle.
"I wasn't talking to you, goddammit!" I said, almost automatically.
Four years ago, I wouldn't have even thought of speaking that way to my friends. What had happened to me?
"Language!" Tino's voice sounded far away, as if he were speaking from behind closed doors. But no...He was staring straight at me - and not in the same way he usually did. His eyes, for once, looked sullen, glazed over, and a little cross-eyed.
The sudden change startled me and I scrambled back and fell off the bed.
"Are you okay Fratello?" Feli's voice came from above me...Wait. In the direction I fell, I should've heard him from my right. To top that off, he didn't sound like himself. He sounded a lot more...stuck up and prissy.
I couldn't answer him. Maybe I was hallucinating. Maybe I had fainted from blood loss from my last cutting incident. Maybe...Maybe this was hell, and I was dead...
I mentally slapped myself. This was a DREAM for God's sake. They couldn't hurt me! I could just wake up before anything happened!
With this plan, I tried to snap myself out of this horrid dream...
...With no luck.
"You are too frightened my child..." A voice came from nowhere. It resembled Nonno's voice in the creepiest way possible - taking all the voice qualities I hated and setting them to Nonno's accent. It whispered to me like my conscience, like a wandering wind. Oh God...
I glanced upwards and almost had a heart attack. Feli was leaning off of the bed, right in front of my face. I shrieked like a little girl and tried to push him away. He only somersaulted away and landed behind me. "Not fast enough, are you? Not fast enough for little Feli!" He chuckled. "Too bad. It was fun while it lasted!" He pulled out a chainsaw from nowhere and showed it in my face. "Time to die!"
If I could get our of this dream, I would've loved to die at that point but Kiku interrupted.
"Stop that, it is disgusting." His eyes were blood red. "You have to deal with a criminal like this properly."
Criminal?! What did I do wrong? Was it the time I accidentally stole Mrs. Karpusi's pencil and never remembered to give it back? I still had it in my drawer, to tell you the truth.
"No, you are too weak to face the truth." That horrible Nonno mash-up whispered again.
"Kiku, ignore him." Lizzy was seated on a throne - a.k.a. a pile of pillows - looking very regal. A black satin eyepatch covered her left eye. "We have to deal with this man."
Kiku bowed. "As you wish, my lady."
"Can we hurry up and get down to business?" Tino's eyes were back to normal, thank god. But the clipboard in his hand unnerved me, I don't know why.
I crawled further from them, only to hear a voice again.
This time it was my late mother's voice - soothing and regal as it was - with insanity laced in it's seams. "Romano, your time has come. You will live in the hell you caused me." There was a laugh - not the sweet, nostalgic one I was used to, but a cackle, much like an evil witch in a fairy tale.
She called me Romano, my true name. No one had called me that for years now and the reminder only disheartened my escape. If she were still alive...
I couldn't move from my position. Fear weighed me down like molasses. What was causing my brain to freeze? I could do something if I tried...Maybe get rid of these horrid remnants of my dreams...If I had the strength/
"No, Romano." My mother's voice said again. "You do not have the strength. You are too weak. You cannot do it."
I shrieked, but no sound was heard. All I could do was struggle against invisible bonds that seemed to grow tighter and tighter by the minute.
I turned to Tino, who was flipping through his clipboard and I began to notice how large it was. About as big as a Bible.
"Of course it's large." Tino read my thoughts. "It's your list of flaws."
My breath hitched. He knew. They all did.
And they hated me for it.
The others crowded around Tino, as if the document was an alien record never before seen. Lizzy pointed out a few things while Feli bounced up and down with a Swiss Army Knife. Kiku stood quietly, as if this whole business had nothing to do with him and he was just dragged into this. That gave me hope. I mouthed 'help me' to him while his eye's were upon me.
He immediately turned away. "Criminal."
If I could cry in a dream, I would've at this point.
"It's decided!" Tino proclaimed, raising his hands above his head like he was giving a benediction. "Send for the torturer!"
A cloaked man stepped out of the shadows. Though his face was mostly covered, I would be a fool if I didn't know those eyes by now. Those eyes - usually passionate and kind - burned with malice when he saw me.
"A-Antonio..." I wept. "...Please don't...I'll do whatever you want me to do! I'll be your little toy, your entertainment! I'll sing for you for eternity! I'll..."
His laugh was the worst, his usual laugh completely changed. I prayed for a bail out, but he only shoved his boot onto my chest.
"Do you take me for a fool? Who would ever want you in their presence? Farewell, Lovi~!" He said the nickname like a curse. "Let's have a peek at your blasted life!"
I woke up just as his scythe came down upon my neck. Gasping, I wiped away the tears I didn't even realize were there. I hadn't realized how far nursing this crush had gone, but it was too late. I realized I could be broken-hearted from a fucking dream.
"You are too weak..."
Please don't kill me DX This leads to some fluffy Spamano, so I hope it's worth it!
I appreciate reviews! :3 Thanks!
