Writhing in pain, Orion yelled and howled as the residual flames of angelic fire scorched his very being. A golden portal appeared behind him and the others, Amira and her sister stepping through.

Amira crouched next to waving a hand across his face, stripping him of consciousness. The other two looked at him in shock, then a wave of relief washed over there face.

" Chaos has been banished, Remnant secured and safe. Our powers have returned to us and the gates of our home are opened to us," Amira said with joy, a smile appearing on her face. She looked at Orion, her smile faded. " His bond with Chaos is enough for the Cosmic Force to attempt to purge him, the corruption of Chaos lingering still."

" Can you do anything," Yang asked, fear in her voice.

" Yes," Serana said. " With our powers restored I think we can help. However, I think it'd be better if he were taken to our home, our world, to be healed. Angelic healers are superior to those of human ones, especially in this kind of a situation."

Yang held tightly onto Orion's hand just as Ruby placed a her on Yang's shoulder to comfort her. " It's alright, Yang. I'm sure they take care of him, he refuses to kick the bucket."

Yang nodded solemnly, weakly letting go of Orion as a golden portal was opened by Amira. Nuri and Serana helped Orion to his feet, took him through the portal and vanished from sight. Amira stepped forward, placing a hand on Obliteration and smiling gently.

" I thank you, Black Dragon. Demon or not, none of this would have been possible without your assistance. Both Heaven and Remnant owe you a great debt."

" There is no debt to be paid. I ask that you take care of the young Flamesong, it is not yet his time to depart the world of the living. Take care, dear angel.:

" I will never forget what you've done for humanity. Even the darkest of demons can see the light. I thank you again, Obliteration."

Amira turned to Yang and put took her hand. " I swear to you, he'll live. You have my word, Yang."

With that Yang nod weakly in understanding, allowing herself one last look at Orion before he was taken away. Obliteration gently took Yang up his palm, letting her stand in his hand as the others climbed onto his back.

" Ours was not the only battlefield. I sensed several other demons from my world enter this one. Prepare yourselves for whatever occurs next."

Black wings began to beat with great force as Obliteration took to the sky. Silently, the group flew for what felt like hours, the sky caused by Chaos faded quickly, revealing the pure blue Remnant sky. It was a calm sight, everyone reached to touch the clouds like small children looking towards the heavens above.

Next to them flew Weiss on her summoned Nevermore, a testament to human prowess and her own ability.

" Are you willing to fight alongside us until the end?" Jaune asked.

" While I serve the Flamesong, I am not responsible for this world directly. However, I am bound to protect the Xiao Long only."

Everyone turned their eyes to Yang. She shrugged in nervous before turning to Obliteration. " Care to explain?"

" Orion values your life more than anything, even this world itself. Therefore, I shall protect you with, but I am not responsible for Remnant itself. I shall not intervene in any further battles unless I am ordered."

" Will you please protect this world?"

Obliteration eyed Yang intensely, red eyes not wavering for a moment. " If that is what you desire of me, very well."

True to his words, Obliteration dominated the skies and felled any Grimm that took the air. With demonic ferocity he sunk his fangs into the neck of another Nevermore, severing its head from its body from its body. Blood seeped through the dragon's fangs as he spat the head towards the ground. He descended from the sky, landing on the battlefield and roaring at the Grimm before him.

" Flee maggots!"

Jaune and Sun looked at the sight in disbelief at Obliteration incinerated all Grimm before him with dark ethereal fire. Jaune and Sun exchanged nervous glances before returning to the battle at hand.

From a portal, Amira and Serena watched as the humans fought in defiance to the darkness before them. Both smiled joyful before Amira closed the portal and they returned their attention to Orion.

It had been a month since they had banished Chaos, a month since humanity secured their future for countless years. For that month, the greatest healers in Heaven had been hard at work attempting to heal Orion. While they believed and knew they could do it, they hadn't anticipated that it would as difficult as it was. Orion had intentionally bonded his soul with the darkness of Chaos. Normally it would have been a simple matter to separate them, but the fact that it was intentional made it much harder.

Taking a step forward, Amira watched as Serena and Marcus, Heavens lead healer, attempted to purge the darkness from Orion's soul. Stress and anger at their futile attempts weld up in Serena and Marcus. Before them was orb of pure energy, radiating an intense heat, Orion's soul. It shone with vigor, but began to waver as shades of black began to overtake it. This cycle repeated several times, much to anger of Marcus.

" This should be such a simple solution," he began with rage. " To separate the darkness from the light! But his soul was naturally touched with darkness, making it even more difficult! One false move and I risk shattering his soul completely!"

Amira placed a hand on Marcus's shoulder. " Patience is a virtue. We owe this human much."

Marcus sighed, knowing how right Amira was. He returned the task at hand along with Serena, trying everything they could to purge the dark from Orion's soul.

Finally, a year later things calmed. The Grimm dispersed back to the outskirts, no longer attempting direct sieges on human settlements or kingdoms. Still, they were numerous in number and as such required Huntsmen and Huntresses to thin out the herds.

Ruby and her team fought their way threw hordes of Grimm, their focus never wavering as Obliteration dominated the skies. Suddenly, a black tear in the sky appeared, a massive creature attempted to claw its way into Remnant. It succeeded as the tear closed behind it. Tentacles erupted from creature's back, a fiendish nightmare that even Obliteration was wary of. Yet the Black Dragon flew towards the fight.

A second portal opened above the creature, a flaming comet descended and struck the creature's back, causing it screech in agony. A flaming blue sun formed above the creature, glowing with utter radiance and dominance before a voiced called out.

" GET OUTTA MY WAY 'CAUSE IM GOING DEMON HUNTING!"

An explosion followed as the beast began to crash into the ground, with a resounding crash. Obliteration descended onto the ground and peered through the smoke. He quickly lowered his head as Orion descended down the slain creature's back.

It weakly screeched in agony before Obliteration bathed the creature in flames. It began to dissipate as Orion placed a hand on Obliteration's scaled head.

" Long time no see," Orion said, " Gotta say it is good to be back."

" Flamesong, I believe someone else is eager to see you."

Orion looked at the dragon with confusion before a familiar mane of golden hair caught his attention. Before he realized it, Yang was in his arms and tears were streaming down his face, feeling the warmth of her pure soul.

Ruby, Weiss and Blake watched Orion well up with tears and choke on his words. Weiss, despite her hate of Orion, smiled for the heartfelt reunion. Blake smiled as well and clapped slightly at the sight, remembering all the times she and Sun had been separated and reunited.

Ruby took several steps and threw her hood on, still needing time to process everything.

To Yang, everything was perfect. The love of her life had been returned to her and both of them were alive and well. Orion finally found the words he had been wanting to say for so long.

" I love you, Yang, more than anything in the world."
