"I can't believe Nell and Eric are getting married before us."
Deeks eyes widen, as he turns around to look at his beautiful girlfriend. She's dressed in a soft bright purple gown that laces and flows down toward her feet. The vest underneath his jacket matches hers, and he holds the flower that belongs on her wrist in his hand.
"Before us?" he asks, reaching for her wrist to place the flower bracelet in its place.
"Yeah, I mean, we started dating before they did, I figured it would be us first."
He needs to have this conversation with her, but damn, she's beautiful. It's hard to focus on anything else.
"You're interested in marriage?"
She twists her wrist around, admiring the flowers. "Of course, you doofus."
"I, um... I thought that... we never talked about..." He's nervous, plus he just really wants to kiss her and it'd making talking hard.
"I know I made some mistakes before with Jack and all, but you're not Jack, Deeks. I love you."
"So you're saying you'd marry me?"
She squints. "Not if that's your proposal."
"No no no... just, well..." he begins.
"Quit rambling, Deeks."
He stops and presses his lips against hers, steadying her by placing his hands on her hips. He pulls away, leaving his forehead pressed against hers. "You're so beautiful."
She looks like she's going to say something sweet back to him, when instead she threatens, "Nell's going to kill you if you messed up my lipstick."
He laughs. "Wouldn't want to hurt Velma's bridesmaid."
She runs her fingers through his curls, correcting the ones she deems to unruly. "Wouldn't want Eric's best man to look too shaggy."
He can't resist another quick kiss. She pulls away to check her makeup, before it's their time to join the rest of the bridal party. Before they join the others, he whispers to her softly. "I'm going to marry you someday soon, Fern. But for now, I'm the best man, you're a bridesmaid. So let's do this thing."
