This is about 3 year after the events at the end of season 3. During senior year for our heroes at Hexside.
During a flyer derby match between Glandis Highs Sky Slayers vs. The Emerald Entrails. Being cheered by Luz, Amity, Jerbo and Barkus. Scara pulls out her miniature lute guitar and strikes a note while the other teammates use their powers to grab the last flag. A portal suddenly opens and the entire Emerald Entrail team gets sucked in. Luz shocked shouts, "We have to help them!" Willow Shouts, "Luz, Amity, Gus help!" Luz pulls out a plant magic glyph to make a vine. Amity conjures up an abomination rope and Gus gives them both power up. The team grabs both vine and rope, but somehow all the magic makes the portal get bigger and pulls all of them in. Making a warping singularity with Eda and Kamilla shouting as she and the others get pulled in before disappearing, "Luz!" Then just like that they are gone leaving a circular crater of smoldering rock and stands of what remains from what vanished.
Luz wakes up and finds that she along with Willow, Gus, Amity, Viney, Jerbo, Barkus, Hunter, and Scarra. Along with their palismans are in an alley way. Luz shouts, "Alright everyone who is not dead sound off." Getting groans of aches and pains in response.
Viney gets up and does a healing circle to heal herself right as rain. "Who else needs some healing?" "I… Ow!" Says Amity as she raises her hand before Luz jumps on her shouting, "Amity!" "Ow!" "I'm glad your alright sweetheart." "I am too Luz, but right now I need to get my shoulder healed. And you're kind of making me feel worse right now." Luz backs off when she realizes that her hug is hurting Amity from a big bruise on her right shoulder. "Sorry! Sorry, I'm just glad everyone is here." "Yeah, but where is here?" Hunter says as he looks around with Waffle on his shoulder.
Luz, Willow, and Gus walk out of the alley way to find themselves in what appears to be the central square of a city that looks like something out of World of Warcraft. With an Elf lady pushing a floating cart in front of her waving with a strange smile on her face. Luz speaks to Willow and Gus in a concerned tone, "Something is not right here." Looking at another magical being looking for a minotaur in a self-driving carriage. While looking at it Luz says, "I've only seen beings and carriages like those in books and movies inspired by those same books." Willow then says in response while putting her right hand to her chin, "Weird. Do you think we've arrived in another time?" Luz sees a newspaper in a trash can and pulls it out for them to look at. With Stringbean on her shoulder. "No, the year is correct, but look at this headline." Gus with an air of confusion, "Magica City, where is that?" Luz then perplexed replies, "I'm not sure, but I got this feeling I know that city name from somewhere."
Suddenly Willow pushes them down as a magic attack orb comes at them as she shouts, "Get down." Blocking it with a vine shield. They look to see they are being attacked by a blue skinned woman floating on her witches staff. Then out come three more people. A green woman with leaves and flowers in her hair. A golem man, and an elf boy that shifts into a red and gold western dragon. The rest of the group comes out of the alley to back up the others.
A Red-Haired lady in Blue declares, "Why are you here, and why did you damage a defenseless bakery?" Willow shouts, "We didn't do it on purpose! We just got here. Where ever here is." The golem man then says before slamming the ground, "In Magica City crime doesn't pay." The green lady, "Do you always have to say that Grustle?" "Yes, repetition helps me." Then Luz in surprise tells Gus, "I know that name." The dragon guy goes after Viney and Hunter until Amity goes into her super abomination mode, like Darius, and seals his mouth shut before he can breathe out fire. The green lady shouts, "Drax." Making Amity loose momentary concentration as she repeats his name looking at him surprised, "Drax?" That hesitation allows him to re-open his mouth and he fire breaths but before she uses abomination teleport to get Viney and Hunter away.
Willow faces off against the green lady with the green lady saying, "I am Floranna, and that was impressive vine shield you made back there. But now child it's time for you to take a time out." Willow aggravated lets her eyes glow green and make giant green fist come out of the ground as she shouts, "Don't treat like a child!" Luz shouts, "Willow stop!" But she is un-able to hear her as she battles Floranna who brings out snap dragons.
Luz finds herself standing before the red-haired lady in blue who then shifts into a blue tiger. Luz then pulls out a piece of paper with her super glyph combo of four rings of interlocking rings with every glyph converging with the lines meeting at the center. She places it on her chest and taps it making enveloped into vines and then her super form appears with four arms ablaze with individual glyph magic. A cat like face with long green hair on the back of her head. Golden wings similar to Eda's in her harpy form. Legs and feet like an eagle and a long lizard tale. Holding String bean in her staff form in her upper right hand. She uses her plant magic arm to make vines to subdue the lady. Then the lady shifts to her witch form to escape before becoming a dragon and shooting blue fire at Luz. "No evil doer can hold Heckati." Luz, "I know who you are, but we are not your enemies." "Liar!" She gets ready to attack Luz until Luz encases her in Ice.
Luz sees a couple of kids who got separated from their parents who are about to be crushed by the back foot of Drax. Luz teleports and gets the kids out with another teleport. Telling them, "Stay here." Luz then soars upwards and shouts, "Stop it!" Everyone is unable to hear her and so she raises her ice magic arm as she shouts again, "I said stop it! Everybody chill." Instantly encasing everyone in ice. Then Luz gets blasted from behind and falls out of the air, but then is guided safely down by Stringbean. As she is getting up, she hears the clicking of what sounds like a gun barrel pointed at her. Hearing a woman's voice, "Stand up, and turn around slowly and tell thee who and what art thou strange creature of yonder realms." Luz a bit shaken begins to turn as she notices Amity encased in ice seeing her eye pupils grow in awe. Luz turns to face the one pointing a magic staff at her like a bazooka. Almost fainting as she says, "No way! You're… You're…" "I am the good witch Azura. Defender of the good folk of this city and realm along with my faithful companions…" "I know… Drax the shifter, Heckati, Grustle the golem, and Floranna the nature guardian. I know all of them, and you. You're Azura! The good witch of Elvendoor. Defender of the helpless. Caregiver to the outcasts. And frequent donner to troll and fairy lives matter pledge drives. And, that you sleep with a blue and pink dragon and suck your thumb when you sleep after you cross your fingers. Raise and wiggle you're nose and make a wish for a bright and adventurous tomorrow before going to sleep." Azura blushes as does Luz, "I probably should've left that part out. And you and your friends are the Magic Guard." Then Azura while pointing her staff at Luz asks, "Impressive. How well thou seems to know thee and company, but that begs the intrepid question. Who art thou? Where do thee and thy companions come from? And how is it that thou knows al that that about thee?" Luz stammers at meeting her idol, "Well, this going to sound weird, but then again, I deal with weird all the time. For you see. Well, the thing is… you are supposed to be a fictional character in a book series." Azura with a shock of disbelief says, "What?"
