When the group arrives at the guards HQ, which is an entire glistening castle of polished marble like something straight out of fairy tale, they are greeted by a man in purple and blue clothing like a scientist coat and cloak with Heckati standing beside him. Azura gestures to introduce him, "This is…" Luz, "Lavendoor the magnificent." Then looking at the Heckati, "Hey uh I know we got off on the wrong foot but let's try to put that behind us and be friends. What do yah say." "I'd say don't over stay your welcome. I'm still not convinced you and your friends are trustworthy." Azura steps in, "Heckati, please be polite to our guest. We are here to help those in need. Right?" "Right dear," saying that as they give a quick kiss. Lavendoor then in response reaches his hand and bows as he says, "I see my reputation proceeds me."

Looking at Azura and Heckati kissing. Luz and Amity asks, "You two are an item." Heckati, "We are not just sweethearts, we're married." That gives Luz and Amity a shock. With Amity saying, "Boy Luz we really have not been keeping up with the books."

Lavendoor, "For those of you who do not know me I am the amazing Lavendoor, but please you can call be Lav of Mr. L. Because I already know that I am amazing. And as for you my dear child Luz, I have not seen one like you before with such round ears. What are you and where are you from?" Luz regains her composure as she tells him, "I am a human from the human realm called Earth. Which means the same as dirt so you could call it Dirt. So might need a better name." Then she introduces her friends and ends with Amity, "And this is my girlfriend and fellow lover of Azura's adventures, Amity Blight." With Amity saying, "Pleasure." Luz, "Their home is a place in the demon realm called the Boiling Isles that is made from the bones of a titan." Lavendoor then asks, "You say you all came from another realm." "Yes," responds Luz. He then gesture for the group to follow, "Come with me to my lab. I need to explain somethings and I have questions that you may answer."

They are in his lab that is filled with all manner of books on shelves, enchanted computers, mirrors, crystal balls, and lots of other equipment. Lavendoor explains the situation. "Before we proceed, I must ask. That a good rule is don't touch anything. Now, have any of you ever heard of the multiverse theory?" Jerbo, "Multi what?" Luz then steps forward. "Well, I have. Though in my realm it's a plot device for stories." Lavendoor, "Well then, please explain it to your less informed friends." Barkus barks his statement with Jerbo translating, "He said watch it pal." Luz speaking to Jerbo, "Thank you Jerbo. No one disrespects my friends. Still, I'll do my best." Then turning to face the rest of the group. "Well basically the idea is that there are potentially an infinite number of parallel universes that each has its own world, realm, or Earth from my perspective. These worlds all occupy the same place in space time. Except they exist in alternate dimensions so they never directly interact with each other. The reality in each is different and operates according to slightly different laws of physics. Which is why in my realm magic doesn't exist whereas here and in the demon realm it does."

Lavendoor steps in, "Well said Luz. Now on a more technical level. All matter and energy at the most fundamental level resonate on the same basic frequency. It is the very foundation of existence and cannot be change by any known means. That is how I know you are all not from this realm. For you all have a different dimensional signature. Therefore, you all come from a different reality from ours."

Hunter then asks, "Well how did we get here then?" Lavendoor then looks at Scarra, "Scarra, Azura told me that you said this happened during a match when you were playing your instrument and enhanced it with magic." "Yes." "Well, that may be the answer." Everyone goes, "What?" Lavendoor puts his fingers in front of his nose to compose himself. "What I mean in as short an explanation as I can give is this. It started back a long time ago. When our world was invaded by sentient amphibians that tried to conquer our world, but they were repelled and had to retreat back to their dimension. But before they did, one of my predecessors managed to get a look at this. And, took this picture." He projects from a book the music box from Amphibia. Gus then realizes, "Hey it's a music box." Viney asks, "What is significant about an amphibian themed music box?" Lavendoor continues, "What is significant is that this is what they used to travel from their world to ours. You see… Uh, Luz can you tell us anything else about the multiverse?"

Luz then brings her thoughts together, "I say can't much more except that when I tried to make a door back to the human realm, I ended up in this weird place full of floating cubes where I was able to see and communicate through mirrors and other reflective surfaces called the space in between. It's how I was able to speak to my mom and save my friend Vee. And where I met King's tian dad. Why do you asks?"

Lavendoor, "Because Luz that place is significant because it is why there many realms. That place is known as a conduit, a nexus, a center place, a world between the worlds. Is a converging place at a critical junction between dimensions that links all realms. That is partly what explains how you all got here. For I too managed to go to that place and found that those cubes have the ability to allow one to see out of and communicate with people in different realms through reflective surfaces. However, I was only able to get that far and had to return. So, I have been puzzling about how those amphibian invaders came to our realm and why they used a music box. Then you Scarra helped to fill in the missing piece." Scarra, "I'm not following."

Lavendoor continues, "I realized that the tones that are played are not just musical notes. They are also dimensional coordinates, and in theory if you strike the right combination of notes with sufficient power. You could effectively shift or open a portal from one realm to another. The tones you struck on your instrument in combination with all the magic involved in your match managed to achieve dimensional resonance with our dimension and opened a temporary door between realms that pulled you from your realm to ours."

Gus along with everyone looking at Scarra as he says, "Thus stranding us here." Scarra looking at everyone embarrassed says in irritation, "Hey, it was accident."

Luz steps forward as she asks while perplexing, "But this still doesn't explain the Azura books Amity and I have read."

Gus then steps in to say, "Maybe I have explanation for that. Perhaps the author of that book series might in fact have a subconscious link to this realm. That sometimes in dreams the pure unclouded mind of a child or those blessed with creativity and the power of storytelling. Can sometimes see through the veils. Perhaps even enter that in between realm through their dreams, and can see what is occurring in other dimensions. So, what she sees from her POV as mere dreams or inspiration. May in fact be seeing Azura and her friend's real-life adventures." With Lavendoor responding, "I couldn't have put it better myself."

Then Hunter in a dismissal tone says, "Yes this is all fascinating and brain sufficiently hurting, but that still leaves one big question that needs to be answered. How do we get back home to our realm?"

Lavendoor, "That I think might have a solution for. Or, partly at this point." He does a spell circle and the floor on the opposite side of the room opens and up comes a ring of six silver and red lined rounded top pillars around a tiled hexagonal shaped platform. "It's a bit crood, but for a couple years now I have been tinkering with a prototype trans-dimensional portal myself."

Viney in joy asks, "Awesome! Does it work?" Lavendoor in a quiet demeanor, "Partially." Luz looks at him confused, "Partially, what does that mean?" "I'll show you, but first can anyone remember hearing any tones from their realm that they may have heard when they were traveling between dimensions." One by one each gives the shoulders and shakes their head in 'I don't know.' Then Hunter surprises the group when he says, "Hey try this. I'm not sure why, but I've always heard this tune playing in the back of my mind." Then he whistles the theme for the Owl House show. Scarra, "Oh yeah me too, now that I am thinking about it." Lavendoor uses a piano tied into the portal platform and use the notes and then powers up the platform. Blue electric arcs form on the tops and bottoms of the pillars and then the tones are emitted from the pillars that make the arcs converge in the center. But only creates a small dot in mid-air.

Amity asks, "What is that? Is that it? I can barely see it." Lavendoor then levitates out a type of telescope and puts it in front of the dot. Directing his attention at Amity he asks, "Look through this and tell me if you recognize anything." Amity looks through the scope and sees the knee and sees a slither beast. "Yup, that's home alright." Luz then asks Lavendoor, "Can't you make the portal bigger so that we can get back to the Boiling Isles." Lavendoor hangs his head in regret. "Unfortunately, at present this is the best I am able to accomplish because I still have not yet been able to figure out a way to safely harness enough power to safely enlarge the portal for safe transit. The bigger the portal the more unstable. So the more power it requires. To both be big enough, and stable enough to allow safe transit between realms. If we attempted to open the portal larger than it already is. It would destabilize, and if we tried to use it in its present state. It would implode the instant you entered and you would be disintegrated before being scattered across the entire space time continuum. Effectively you would be erased out of existence, and become nothing but a literal smear on the cosmos."

This makes everyone's jaws drop. Scarra then states the obvious and says what everybody is thinking, "Looks like we're stuck here for now." Lavendoor then tries to assure them, "Don't worry, I will labor on this task night and day if I must until I figure out a way to send you all home." Then Azura joyfully jumps in, "But for now. You are all welcomed to stay with us for however long you need. Our home is your home." Luz hugs her, "Thank you, thank you, thank you! For fulfilling my fan fantasy." "Oh, it's quite alright, though could you please loosen your grip. I can't breath." "Oh, right sorry about that."

The group goes to the guest quarters of the guards castle. As everyone beds down. Luz and Amity are still gazing up at the stars before sharing a quick kiss before going to sleep.
