The whole group including Scarra, Jerbo, Viney, and Barkus. With Heckati coming all excited replaying the whole fight. Only to stop when she sees Luz, Amity, and Willow sitting at the round table looking at her and the others with stern looks on their faces.

Jerbo steps forward to compliment, "Great guys you've brought us to." Viney, "Yeah Drax, Heckati and I really knocked those guys dead. Thanks to the transfiguration spell to transform myself into a dragon." Scarra then inserts, "Yeah we probably would've been pancakes if not for Azura and our new friends in the guardians."

Then Luz flat out stakes, "She's not Azura." Everyone's faces become confused. Scarra, "I'm sorry what?"

Amity slams her hands on the table as she says in response, "You heard Luz. She is not the real Azura and they are not the real guardians." Heckati perplexed asks, "How can you say something like that?" Then Azura steps forward demanding, "That is a very serious accusation. Explain thy self-young witch." With Luz saying in response as holds up a paper, "No you explain this." With the paper saying as Azura reads it aloud, "Guardians killed in Battle after World War Declared."

Heckati in an accusing tone points and states, "It's a hoax. Some sort of sick twisted joke." Luz with her head bowed in sorrow states before everyone, "It's not a joke, and believe me when I say. I and Amity really wish with all our hearts that it was, but it isn't. The real Azura, Lavendoor, Drax, Floranna, and Grustle. They are all dead. We've seen their graves."

Floranna states, "She can't be serious." But then looks over at Grustle as she continues, "Is she?" Azura perplexed begins to say, "I don't know. It sounds incredible but…" Then her wrist enchantlet starts beeping. She taps it and a magic hollow message comes through. "This is Azura of the Guardians." The female knight is saying in an obscured manner with a monster rampaging outside the window. "Guardians! A monster is attacking in the city center. Please hurry." "We're on our way." She turns to the others, "We're needed downtown right away."

Amity and Luz look at each other and Luz brings out her super glyph combo page and activates it to change her into her super form. She shuts the doors with vines and blocks it with a wall of fire as she states in an authoritative tone, "We're not done here!" Grustle all confused while Heckati looking at Luz with a frown, "Are you crazy the city is in danger."

Luz, "And that is precisely what I," she says as she changes back, "and rest of us are trying to make clear to all of you." She then looks towards the left wall and gives a knob and Gus drops his cloaking spell that he was using to hide Hunter and himself. Heckati with a look of surprise as Gus says, "What's wrong? Surprise to see us free and not as a pair of petrified crystal statues." Drax then just as confused, "What's going on here?" Hunter, "Precisely what we want to know. What really is going on here?"

Luz then continues, "Indeed for that is the big question that demands an answer. What exactly is going on here? Has it never bothered any of you how nothing in this world makes any sense? Like how it is that in every battle that you fight in, even against supersized foes, you never loose. That you always win against criminals and villains that really don't put up much of a fight. That there are apparently no real consequences. How bread always lands on the plate jelly side up no matter where the bread falls or where you drop it." Amity then continues, "And not only those but the other little things that don't add up. Library's with no librarians that are filled with books with nothing but blank pages. A snack lady who always sells the same snacks to the same kids and never stops to sell to anyone else. The same people doing the exact same thing they did the day before, and the day before that. Damaged objects repairing themselves instantly. An underground chamber filled with people frozen in crystals. A hidden layer built adjacent to a former fallout shelter where crystalized people are. That is filled with papers and this journal we found that talks about Azura and the guardians dying in battle." Willow, "Dangers coming out the wet works as convenient distractions. All to keep you from learning the horrible truth."

Lavendoor asks, "What truth?" Luz, "That your entire world is really a fake. A living memory of the world and civilization that was destroyed 50 years ago. When Azura and the guardians gave their lives to save the world from war. They ended up paying the ultimate price for their heroism, but their sacrifice didn't stop it. And the world was destroyed as a result. That's why everything here behaves like it's all a book with everything always turning out for the best for your heroes. That there are no true permanent consequences. Because we have all experienced those, and I know for a fact. Not every hero's story has a happy ending. That is how we know this is a fake world." Amity then adds, "And whenever someone starts to figure it out…" Viney then steps in as she says, "Explosions, corny badies, and monsters start appearing out of nowhere." Luz, "Which also explains why we are not subject to the same manipulation as everyone else. Because we are not originally from this world. Which is why Hunter was the first to notice the inconstancies of this world. And Gus realized that this is a false reality."

Floranna in a tailspin of emotions, "All of this. That we're not even real?" Luz then asks, "Let me ask you this Lavendoor. If given what we know is that time moves at the same rate in both realms. If you are the real guardians, then how come none of you appear 50 years older." Lavendoor, "We age differently." Amity, "False in the books witches in this realm only live on average to 150 years. We met someone who was there fifty years ago who saw it all. So, Luz is right that you all should look 50 years older, but you're not."

Grustle then ask, "If what you are saying is true. What and or who is creating this illusion? And why?"

Gus, "I think it's obvious why. Though this is not simply an illusion. It is a warping and reshaping of reality because of chaos magic. The same magic that killed the original Azuar and the guardians, and gave the only survivor the power to reshape this world's reality to their choosing. Making this world the way it is, because the one behind all of this doesn't want to live in a world of unpredictable change and consequences. Because that is what destroyed their original world. So, they created this fake world where nothing truly bad, devastating, or any type of serious consequences can ever happen. Preferring to live in a fantasy then in reality."

Luz adding, "Well said Gus, and it is because of those unpredictable situations that makes life scary and also wonderous. And though the real world can at times more often than the other way suck. It's also the only place you can get a decent burger and griffin egg."

Floranna, "Yes, but still… Who is behind all of this?"

Gus, "I suggest you ask Heckati." Everyone in the guardians looks at her confused with Azura asking, "Heckati…?" Heckati stumbling back asks in a confused tone, "Why me? What makes you think I would know anything?" Gus looking straight in her eyes says with stern confidence, "Because you are the source. For you were the one who tried to petrify Hunter and me earlier." Looking back at Luz, Willow, and Amity as Luz states, "That and the fact that this is your journal, and you are the only guardian without a grave or headstone like the others we found." Luz, "Lastly, the date on the final entry. Is the exact same date that the author of the Azura series in both our worlds was first inspired to write it. We've had enough being led around the bush." Looking straight at Gus. She asks him, "Gus reveal the truth." "Gladly," he says as he raises his spy glass and his eyes glow blue which makes Heckati's eyes turn blue too.

She pushes Gus back with a, "No!" as her illusion drops and she turns out to be a hunched back deformed and nearly melted face disfigured abomination of herself. With a shriveled right arm, and oversized left arm. Torn cloths and no shoes. "You've ruined it! You've ruined everything!" She blast Gus back and the five headed dragon appears. Ripping the roof off the place. Scarra shouting, "That's it! I officially want to go home now."

Azura tells the guardians, "Guardians defend." Willow and the others are about to join them until with Luz putting her plant armed hand on her saying, "Don't, it's just an illusion." Amity, "That's right," she points to Heckati, "She's the real menace, get her."

Hunter uses his staff to blast her with lightning strikes. Only for her to send them back at him. Willow then uses vines to entrap her. Heckati makes them wither and makes the ground swallow her like quicksand and harden like cement. Gus covers the place in a cloak of darkness. Heckati senses carefully and then extends her arm like Bellos does before petrifying him in cyrstal. "You!" Shouts Amity as she goes super abomination mode. Heckati stops her in her tracks and turns her into solid rock. Barkos directs the others with his oracle powers which makes it so she can't catch the others. So, she ensnares him in her own vines and muzzles him. Jerbo summons a plant-based abomination while Viney says, "Zilvas Sevan Nu Meilon," to change herself into a dragon. Only for Heckati to turn her into a mouse that can't speak, and turning Jerbo's own abomination against him to devour him. Scarra brings out her lute and with a little magic twist. Turns it into a rocking guitar, "Hey Hec gives this tune a listen," and she rocks out causing everyone and even her friends to cover their ears in pain. Only for Heckati to place a silencing spell on her. Luz blasts her with fire and lightning when in her super form. "It's over Heckati." "It was over before. 50 years ago when I lost my friends and the love of my life. I absorbed the chaos magic. It killed Azura and the others. So tried to undue what I did. Giving them new life to no avail. Trying to change the past only for them to continuously keep dying as an absolute. So, I could not undue what I had done. So instead I changed all of that, and made a perfect world here."

Luz tries to reason with her by telling her, "Well, I know what it's like to go through that. But I learned that letting go of the past is not about forgetting. It means healing." Heckati, "Noooo! I will not accept that." She grabs Luz and pulls out her super glyph combo to make her return to human. Then she levitates Luz up in the air and begins to crush her as she closes her right hand. "You and your friends have overstayed your visit."

Azura looks back and sees what Heckati is doing. "The boiling isle youths need our help." Lavendoor jumps in front of her to say, "Wait! If what they said is true. Stopping Heckati could destroy this world and everything in it." Drax holding Floranna's side tenderly as she says, "Including us."

Seeing Heckati about ready to kill Luz with her screaming in pain. Azura states, "Even if we are not the originals. They were willing to die to do what is right. For what makes one a true hero?" Grustle responds, "You have to be selfless." Floranna, "And never be afraid to risk your life to save another's." Drax, "Never fail to do what's right." Looking at Azura as he asks, "Even if it cost you your very life?" Azura confidently replies, "Especially then. The originals died protecting and standing as an example of that truth. And now we can too. Let's be real heroes for a change."

Heckati is crushing Luz as she says, "You have overstayed your visit. Now you are going to leave, piece by piece." Only for Drax to change into a ram and headbutt her in the side to knock her back. "What is the meaning of this?" Then she sees Grustle is standing before her raising his hands and glowing with his earth magic as he says, "In Magica City, crime doesn't pay." Slamming the ground and forcing her back. She declares, "You can't, I made you!" They all shout, "Guardians unite and defend!"

They attack her on all sides until she stops them and holds them in mid-air. Luz finally notices that suddenly they are all in a dome that is colored red. That shrinks and sees that it shrinks as Heckati has to use more of her magic to stop the guardians. Her reality changing powers are depleting. Making the dome get smaller and everything that was changed returning to its true form and state.

As Heckati holds them she shouts in frustration, "Fine if this is way it's going to be. I'll just start again, and this time I'll get it right. For I made you, and I can just as easily un-make you all and make you the way I want you to be." She glows and tries to erase them. Only to discover it's not working. "No! It's impossible. Why can't I make you go away?"

Azura burst free as do the others as she says, "Because we now know who we really are Heckati. We are you." "What?!" "We are the part of you that knows what is right from wrong." Drax changes into his dragon form and says before fire blasting her, "The part that desires to do what is right." Floranna then wraps her in vines as she says, "That which is opposed to all that is evil and cruel." Heckati burst out only for Lavendoor to blast her with his staffs energy, "That is why we must oppose you and stop you." Grustle entraps her in hands of stone and earth from beneath her, "Because what you are doing is evil." With her putting up a force field bubble around her as they all shout, "And all evil must be defeated." Heckati, "No, Get away from me!"

They all surround her and begin blasting and punching her shield. This makes her grab her head as she is straining to keep them away while all the while the reality warping dome collapses down until its only extends a radius of 10ft from her. Luz able to see the devastation Gus spoke about seeing in his vision awhile back all around them and Amity getting free to stand next to her. Then with one final scream of agony from Heckati, "Nooooo!" Her shield falls and collapses to the ground with a single breath leaving her. Seeing Azura and guardians begin to fade away. Luz and Amity run towards Azura to say, "Please don't go." Azura taking their hands, "Hey, hey, it's okay. I and the rest of us regret nothing. It's thanks to you we became real heroes." Luz and Amity, "But I need you too." Azura with a gentle smile as takes a knee and looks them both in the eyes to say, "You once told me I was the one who showed you what it meant to be a good witch and a true hero. And now you two have taught me what it means to be one as well. So, I am eternally thankful for that. Both of you. Thank you and promise you will always be the best good witches you can be. Okay?" And both in reply say, "OK, we'll do our best." Azura, "I know you will. Farewell my friends. And remember this. Sometimes real heroes can be forgotten, but legends never die." With her all the guardians fading out of existence with contented smiles.

Everybody coming too with Scarra asking, "Ow my head. What…?" Stopping as she sees the real and devastated world around them, "Woah!" Viney going over to Luz and Amity and uses a spell circle to examine Heckati. Hunter asking, "Is she…?" Viney saying before he could finish, "She is dead." Gus then says as he has been un-petrified, "She couldn't maintain her false world when her own creations started to attack her. They were apparently the manifestation of her conscience, and when it realized what she was doing was wrong. It fought back against her. That imbalance of mind and spirit caused her to suffer a fatal stroke." Jerbo then asks, "But how did she get that way?" Gus, "I saw it in her memories. It was the chaos magic she absorbed. As a result of the war. Giving her the power to change the reality of this world to her choosing." Hunter continuing, "So she decided to make it just like the world she grew up in. With the sights, places, and her closest friends that embodied everything that was good. Preferring to live in a fake paradise." Scarra, "Who could blame her. If you had to choose between living in a fantasy forever or this. What would you choose?" Luz, "The real world may suck at times, but it's also the only place you can get a decent taco."

Then they hear music coming up the road and they see the toy and snack cart lady and dozens of dirty people in worn and torn clothing people walking up the road. Including the man and the other people who were frozen in crystal and then hundreds more all coming up the road.

Luz in bewilderment, "You're all real." The toy/snack cart lady then says, "My real name is Christa." Looking around as she continues, "It's like finally waking up from an endless dream." Amity then answers, "I'm sorry. We destroyed your world." Christa in response, "No, we did that to ourselves because we put non-sympathetic leaders in power. That chose war when they couldn't get their way." Luz then says, "But now all you have is this nightmare." Christa in response, "Believe me. Being stuck as a toy and snack seller and never being in control of yourself. Just being someone else's puppet for 50 years without stop. That's a living nightmare." She picks up some bricks and mortar as she continues, "Compared to having to endure all that for that long. Rebuilding our world from scratch will be much easier and infinitely more rewarding." The knight lady steps up to shake their hands as she says, "Thank you, thank you all so much for giving us back our lives." The man from the crystal, "For giving us back our freedom." A woman who was in the cloister, "For giving us a future we can at last look forward to."

Gus asks the gang, "It would be interesting to see them rebuild." Willow, "Yeah but we still need to get home." Jerbo, "How do we do that?" Then Luz with a confident look says, "I think I have an idea."

Using her plant magic to make vines, Willow removes rubble that is blocking a door way to Lavendoors wizard chamber and lab. As they are moving through the rubble Luz tells them, "Remember when Lavendoor said he was working on a prototype trans-dimensional portal. It's just possible that maybe," seeing through rumble the edge of the portal platform, "Yes, there it is."

Scarra being the first to asks, "What good will this do? I mean he said he never found a way to sufficiently power it for safe travel." Luz, "Maybe he couldn't, but maybe I can." She pulls out paper and begins drawing her super glyph combo. With light glyph at the center and the other three in a triangle formation around it. Places it on her chest and activates. She changes into her super form and levitates the portal platform off the ground. Pushing away the rubble above them and emerge out into the open air. Once placed level on the ground. Luz then extends vines from her plant magic arm to wrap around the pillars of the portal platform. She raises her fire and ice magic arms. Turning to face her friends as she says, "You're all going to want to stand back." Her fire and ice magic arms emit vortices of fire and ice. Making storm clouds begin to gather. She intensifies it and begins to make the cloud crack lightning until the sky is full of lightning. Then Luz uses her light magic arm to levitate steel beams into the air in ever higher sequence. Connected with metal cables and then 12 lightning bolts strike the steel beams and begin going down towards Luz who captures the lightning in her light magic arm and channels it into her plant magic arm through her vines to power up the portal. Enlarging the opening to the size needed for transit. Opening back to the grugby/flyer derby field. Straining as she tells the others, "I don't know how long I can keep this going for. Go!" Everyone brings out their staffs and fly through with Willow and Amity having a vine and abomination tendril around Luz's waist as she stands in front of the portal. Amity telling Willow, "On my go we pull her through, ready?" "Ready!" "Pull!" Pulling Luz through just before the portal collapses.

Back in the Boiling Isles where everyone is talking with their friends and families. Scarra, "I mean the cliches and the corny villains. Though I got to say Drax was total hunk." Eda asking, "Hey where's Luz?"

Eda, Camilla, and Alidor find Luz and Amity sitting below the tree they made at grom. Camilla, "Hey Miha." Alidor, "Mittens are you two okay?" Luz with a solemn look responds, "Yes, no, I don't know. We know she wasn't real." Amity, "But she and the others did save us." Alidor, "Well isn't that what really matters?" Eda, "Hey you know something. Even if they were not the originals. They risked their lives to save you because it was the right thing to do. If that doesn't make one real hero. Then I don't know what does." Luz looking at Eda, "Thanks Eda. And thanks Ma ma." Luz and Amity hold hands and look up at the stars as both say, "Thanks Azura wherever you and the others are. We'll be the best good witches we can be. We promise."
