This is the re-written chapter of Big Promise, it starts off fairly similar but just bear with me, it'll get better hope you like this one better, i'm also cutting it in two cause of the length C: Enjoy!
So ya know how I fell on that boy Kaito? Well… I hurt my wings so now I cant fly… and now we're going to the club and i'm going to have to deal with it and do my best not to put any pressure on my wings. That will definitely be difficult considering Tamaki and the twins have a tendency of throwing themselves at us for hugs.. mainly Tamaki but you get the point.
"Homura, we're here, are you even listening?" Haruhi snaps me away from my thoughts and I realize we are at the host club's door. With a sigh I zip up my jacket and we open the door. Everyone's attention turns to us and Tamaki immediately rushes over to us and scolds us for being late, then questions us about where we were yesterday.
"we were somewhere" I reply slyly, earning a tear in Tamaki's eye.
"why can't you trust me with this simple information!? As your daddy I deserve to know, I was worried sick about you!"
"I wasn't feeling well, and Haruhi was helping me feel better. Also, how did you get my phone number?"
"well I just asked Kyoya." Tamaki smirked.
"oh I see, can I see your phone?" he gives me a questioning look before handing his phone over to me, I smirk and go through the contacts. Lets see… doppelganger #1… #2… Kyoya… My beloved daughter 3 … i'm guessing this is me… Delete!
I smirk and hand him back his phone, he looks at it and he looks at it for a minute before shrieking, "How could you?! You deleted your contact from my phone!" I smile and nod, he goes to his little corner and I walk over to the twins.
"hey, about those notes…" I remind them and Hikaru pulls out his notebook and hands it to me.
"there you go, make sure to give them back" I nod and walk over to my table and sit down. I notice a new yet familiar face and jump.
"Kaito! H-hey, I didn't know you came to this school?"
"i could say the same to you, when I heard you're a host I just had to come check it out" he gives me a friendly smile and with that we strike up a friendly conversation.
A few days later…
I've been very edgy lately due to my lack of being able to fly, and after an agonizing few days my wings are finally healed! I'm so happy I wouldn't be surprised if I am glowing, the twins certainly seem to notice as we walk out of the class to the club.
"you seem pretty happy today Homura…" Hikaru says with a small smirk.
"just excited for the beach" I say with a chipper tone.
"speaking of which…" Kaoru says, his brother finishing the sentence.
"…we have some swimsuits for you two to choose from!" they open the door and the room is there are a ton of mannequins, each modeling a different swimsuit. The twins direct us over to a pink two piece swimsuit with ruffles on the top. "we have carefully selected this one for Haruhi to wear!"
"not that one!" Honey says, pulling over a mannequin with a dark blue one piece, "i think this one would look much better!" the twins 'tsk' at him, shaking their heads.
"you just don't get it" Kaoru says, "that one would just upset her!" they pick up Haruhi, and Hikaru gestures to her chest;
"you see, this uniform barely hides Haruhi's lack of feminine physique, that swimsuit would just make it worse, that's why-"
"we've selected this one, the ruffle help hide the fact that shes so flat chested!" Kaoru states, then they turn to me. Uh oh… "Homura on the other hand… well that's a different story."
"you see, Homura's has the perfect size breasts…" Hikaru trails off noticing my glare.
"and you guys call Tamaki the pervert…" I say under my breath, and they slowly lead us over to another two piece, but this one is a plain light blue top with white bottoms. Kaoru hesitates before continuing.
"this suit would suit you very well and since your favorite color is blue we thought that was very nice" I look at it, and while it is a nice swimsuit there is just no way I am going to wear a swimsuit again.
"sorry guys, but i'm just not going to be wearing a swimsuit, that water park was a one time thing."
At the beach…
I guess the twins took my saying I wont wear a swimsuit at the beach as a challenge because as soon as we got there they grabbed my arms and made sure those two twin maids got me into the suit. I glared at them as they pushed me out of the changing rooms happily, and just relished in the fact that they let me wear a shirt and also somehow didn't see my wings again. I swear, those two are quick and forceful but geez are they blind, they stripped me down twice now and somehow haven't seen my wings. But hey, i'm not complaining about that.
The twins smirk at me and give a thumbs up, I just glare. I glare at Kyoya too because he brought the ladies and so that means Haruhi can't wear her swimsuit and suffer with me, although, at least the twins don't get complete satisfaction. I walk over to wear she's sitting and sit down with a sigh.
"This sucks," Haruhi says, "i thought going to the beach meant the day off."
"yeah… plus, that means you cant wear your swimsuit and so i'm forced to suffer alone… I'm gonna get those twins for this"
"how are you planning to do that?" Haruhi raises an eyebrow, she seems a bit too amused.
"you'll see, I'll find some way…" Just then, a few of the girls walk up. I wonder why he didn't bring the boys along with us too? Maybe he was worried they might try something with the ladies? I don't know, but lets go find a way to get those two little devils. I stand up, "i'm going to go find the twins, have fun with the ladies" I smile as I walk past and away from them and over to the volleyball net, where the twins are currently playing with some of the girls.
"hey, you look nice" Kaoru says to me with a smirk, Hikaru of course has a matching one.
"yeah whatever, i'm gonna beat you at this game and put you in your place!"
"challenge accepted! They smirk as I join the opposite side to them and we start playing. At some point it was my turn to serve and I decided to spike the ball over the net. It went flying over their heads and they went chasing after it. Oops… I run after them and find them talking to Kyoya and Tamaki.
"Its alright, she shouldn't be running around in it anyways" Tamaki states, I assume hes talking about Haruhi in a swimsuit… but what about me!? I shouldn't have to either! "…at least not in front of two perverts like you" He suddenly starts wiggling around and I sweat drop, getting an image in my mind of him and Haruhi together.
"says the one fantasizing about you two together…" I mumble, the twins give me a puzzled look but quickly let it go. A few of the girls come over worried about Tamaki.
"oh no is he ok?!"
"he's not having a seizure is he?!"
"don't worry about him, he gets like this sometimes" the twins reassure them, sitting back in beach chairs. I sigh, looks like we wont be finishing our game… I notice Haruhi walking by the shore in the opposite direction and decide to join her.
"hey"
"hey, what happened to beating the twins at volleyball?"
"well it looks like we wont be finishing our game so I'll just have to find another way to get them back, but i'm not sure, maybe I should just bury them in sand up to their heads, i'm sure I could get Tamaki to help me if I tell him they were mean to me and call him dad." I smirk at the thought and she laughs.
"Haru-chan! Homu-chan! Wanna go hellfish shunting?!" Honey calls over to us, waving with a shovel, we walk over to him.
" I think you mean shellfish hunting…" Haruhi corrects him and my gaze falls on the bucket of shellfish next to him. Huh… I didn't think this was that kind of beach… how weir- something crawling on my foot interrupts my thoughts and I look down to see a crab on my foot, as well as a bunch of other shellfish surrounding us!
"ahh!" I shake the crab off and jump onto a rock that Mori is crawling over. He looks over the side and I follow him to see Kyoya and a bunch of his soldier men from the water park.
"oh, Mori senpai, Homura, my family's police force stopped by, they wanted to make it up to Honey senpai for attacking you on the beach the other day, so they brought shellfish."
"oh so that's why there are so many" I nod, that makes a lot more sense.
"This is going to be amazing! Dinner's gonna be great!" Haruhi shouts.
"sounds great!" I smile as I slide off the rock and walk over to her. We start shouting towards the others 'its a major haul!' repeatedly and it definitely got everyone's attention. Tamaki walk up with a crab in his hand.
"hey girls, isn't this crab, crabtivating?"
"oh yeah!" Haruhi smiles happily, and he looks at us with a dreamy look, which is interrupted when a centipede crawls over the crab and all the girls freak out and run away. I laugh and walk over to him. Guess this is a good time for my power… "ignore them, they're just spoiled and don't understand you" I smile and hold out my hand, it looks at me and crawls onto my hand. I gesture for Haruhi to follow me as I walk over to a big rock. "sorry for what we're about to do to you" I let Haruhi pick it up and chuck it over the rock. The twins walk over to us.
"now, I could be wrong, and I know most girls girls aren't really a big fan of bugs and we certainly didn't think you were…" Hikaru pauses for his Kaoru to continue.
"…but don't you think you could have been easier on the little guy?"
"oh come on, It takes a lot more then that to kill a bug" Haruhi rolls her eyes
"and i said I was sorry." I add, and they shrug. Then the ladies walk over to us and start swooning over Haruhi being so brave and how they thought it was so sweet that I said sorry to it. I notice the twins slid away and were talking to the other hosts about something, i'm not really sure what… but I let it go and decide to go sit down by the shore and let the water touch my wash over my feet. Mori comes and sits next to me as well as Honey.
"we caught so many shellfish!" Honey exclaims happily.
"yeah, can't wait for dinner, are you guys going to be cooking it yourselves?"
"yeah" Mori says shortly and Honey nods his head.
"cool, I didn't realize you could cook"
"mhm" I find myself smiling with him and laugh. Then the twins call me over to go to this cave thing with them. When we get there its fairly dark and the twins start telling this weird story, saying that this cave is only visible during low tide, and that people have died from drowning and its haunted. I hold back a laugh. Yeah right!
"look out!" Hikaru yells, pointing at a skeleton thing in a cloak that's laughing evilly, the ladies shriek, but Haruhi and myself just kinda look at it. Then something grabs my shoulder, which was a mistake on its part… I don't really do well with people or things grabbing me from behind… as Hikaru learned when I grabbed the weird skeleton hand and threw it over my shoulder, pulling Hikaru along with it. He landed on his butt and I laughed.
"are you just trying to scare us?" I laugh and Kaoru sighs, revealing he was controlling the cloak thing.
"what's wrong with you? I thought everyone was afraid of ghosts?"
"yeah but I've never seen a real one." Haruhi says and I cross my arms.
"plus, if this place was really haunted, I doubt you'd be taking us all down here knowing we could die and also you'd probably be too scared."
"we would not!" they scoff and we leave as they continue explaining how they totally wouldn't be afraid. I just nod and laugh, they'd totally be afraid.
Throughout the rest of the day, the hosts all call us up and do these weird things, I think they're just trying to scare us, and its kind of exhausting. Finally I pulled Haruhi aside and over to this giant rock cliff thing and lean against it by the shore. I took a deep breath and picked up a sea urchin like thing and smiled, "hey look."
"nice, another side dish!" Haruhi said, a little excited. I smiled.
"Haruhi! Homura! Look up here! The breeze is amazing up here!" a few of the girls were on the top of the cliff and looking out at the ocean.
"be careful up there!" Haruhi called up to them, and they nodded. We found a couple more shellfish and put them in a random bucket we found, it was practically full when we heard one of the ladies shriek on top of the cliff. We ran up to them to find a couple drunk guys closing in on them. One of them was hugging the girls from behind and the other had grabbed Momoka (Kurakano) by the wrist and was trying to pull her closer to him.
"hey!" Haruhi threw the shellfish at his back and they stuck into his back, making him let go of Momoka's wrist and trying to get them off his back. "didn't you hear them!? They don't want you so leave them alone!"
"nobody here wants you so how about you leave all together?!" I say, getting into a fighting stance. Dad had taught me how to fight in case I ever needed to, Haruhi knows a bit but not really much.
"why you little brats! Ill show yo-" I got tired of waiting for him to stop talking and punched him in the nose. He fell back and I turned to Momoka "go get help!" she nodded and ran off down the path. The guy was back up and he grabbed my wrist and tried to pull me towards him.
"hey, you're pretty cute, lets see what underneath that shirt" he started to reach toward the front of my shirt. I guess he forgot that my other hand was free because he was pretty surprised when I punched him in the stomach, then introduced his nose to my knee and his manhood to my foot. He fell down and I figured that would keep him down for a bit.
"your turn" I turned to the next guy holding the other two girls, he let them go and came at me, I went to hit his jaw, but he ducked and punched my stomach. I bit my lip and fell on one knee for a second, my hand on my stomach. Looks like hes better at fighting then his friend… he started to come towards me and I forced myself to stand back up. His ugly smirk grew wider and I scowled. He came at me again and I let him get close, then I stepped over and got behind him, grabbing his shoulders and kicking his back, resulting in him falling face first to the ground. The girls took this opportunity to run own the path and I smiled.
"agh!" I hear Haruhi and turn to see the first guy has her wrists and is pulling her to the edge. I go to run to her but the other guy grabs my hand and turns me towards him.
"you're not gonna leave me to go get him are you! Where's the fun in that?!" I scowl at him and try to pull away, but his grip is too tight. I go to use my other hand to pry myself away but he grabs that hand too and pulls me closer to him. With every second I spend struggling with this guy, Haruhi is being pulled closer and closer to the edge.
"how about a swim?!" finally the first guy has Haruhi at the edge and is about to push her off. I headbutt this guy and finally break away, throwing him over me and run towards the other guy just as he lets her go off the cliff. I don't even bother hitting him I just shove him out of the way and jump off the cliff without another thought.
Well that's part one of the re-written chapter Big Promise and i'm calling this part Trouble.
