Convergence
It's been a month since the Day of Unity and when Luz returned home to the human realm, but her friends from the demon realm got trapped away from their home and families. Their fates remaining unknown. They are trying to make a similar portal to return to the Boiling Iles. Luz, Amity, Willow, Gus, and Hunter are standing in front of the door to the old cabin that the portal door opened out into the human realm from. Hoping that their latest test will succeed in creating a working portal to get them back home.
Luz pacing about as she narrates into her repaired phone. "Demon Realm Portal attempt number 25 about to commence." Luz has attached cables to the door and written a complex combination of glyphs on the door. Amity asks, "Do you think this will work?" "I don't really know," Luz responds in worry and concern for girlfriend and friends. She turns to face her friends to tell them, "Alright everybody listen up. This spell I have written on the door will hopefully open a new portal that will get you back home to your families in the Boiling Isles. Though there is an equal possibility that it will horribly fail like all the other attempts, or it will open a portal but not to the correct realm. Like a previous portal Eda and I worked on that sent us to a world populated by talking frog people where I met another human girl stranded in that world named Anne. Still, I'm really hoping this will work."
Gus in enthusiastic anticipation, "Well what are we waiting for?" Hunter in response, "Yeah lets open this portal up and get back to the Isle and stop the Collector." Willow, "I'm itching for some noble battling. Fire it up!"
Luz tries to calm them and explain, "Hang on gang. Love the enthusiasm, but we still need to be careful. This spell is still unstable and my glyphs don't work as well if not at all outside the demon realm. We need to be cautious and… Willooow!" Willow activates the spell as she says, "The longer we delay the more time the Collector has to ruin the Boiling Iles and the more likely my dads are in danger."
The spell activates and a red portal opens with no clear view of what's on the other side. Willow is the first to pull out her staff and Clover attaches to the front. She fly's through first. Then Gus follows her in. Hunter turns back as he tells Luz and Amity, "Come on." Luz with a worried groan hops on Amity's staff with Ghost as they fly into the portal.
Meanwhile in the realm of Dungeons & Dragons. The hero kids Hank, Diana, Eric, Presto, Sheila, Bobby, and Uni are once again on the run from Venger who pursues them on his steed Nightmare. Along with his army of orcs, demons, and lizard men. Shouting as he blasts at them, "It is futile to continue to try and escape me children. Surrender your weapons to me at once, and I may spare your lives." Hank turning to say to Venger in response as he fires one of his bow blasts, "If you think we're doing that Venger. Then you are even more foolish then Eric." Missing as Venger fires another magic blast with Eric jumping in to repel the blast back at Venger with his shield. Saying in aggravation to Hank, "You know, I really shouldn't be saving your sorry butt after comparing him to me." "Sorry Eric," Hank says in apology. "Yeah," responds Diana, "You're just a great source of Comic relief."
Venger gets back up and fires again. Hank fires his bow to intercept his blast. Bobby uses his club to trip Vengers forces over themselves. Diana asks Presto, "Presto can you whip up something to help us?" Presto, "Let me try this. Abracadabra croaks and froggy. Make the air super foggy." Then a thick fog comes out of his hat. Hank calls, "Good work Presto. He won't be able to find us now." Eric then in his traditional condescending manner, "Yeah and neither can we. This fog is so thick I can't even find me in here." "Uni!" Boddy calls out. Then they hear Uni go, "Blaaay!" Hank tells everyone, "Go towards Uni's sound and form a line." They all do. All the while Venger cries in frustration. "They may have evaded me for now, but they can't hide forever."
When the gang finally makes out of the Fog, they all are relieved. Hank is the first to say, "We did it. We escaped Venger." Eric in a pessimistic manner, "Yeah, but that seems to be all we do. We just keep fighting him and every time we get close to finding a way home. We always still end up here in this dungeon of a realm. I'm starting to think Dungeon Master just has dose these things and enjoys watching us have to give up our way home. Just so he gets his kicks. We're his little toys he plays with their hopes for his amusement." "Careful what you say Cavalier," Dungeon Master says as he appears out of nowhere as he always does. Giving Eric a good shock. "Dungeon Master," Sheila says in gratitude and Uni snuggles up to him as he gently pets her. DM continues speaking to Eric and the group. "I do not take pleasure in the lease in sight of your struggles. Besides you have always had a good reason to make sacrifices in going home for the good of others in need. Besides, I've come with news. A way home has appeared in the realm. A new portal to your world has been opened." The entire gang go, "What?!" Hank, "A portal to our world has been opened. How and by who?" DM calmly tells him, "By those who have come here for the same thing you seek. A way back home to their world. It has opened less than kilometer to the north from here. Help them and you can help each other. But I must warn you. While they have all come from the world of your birth. Only one of them is from your world, but also is not from the world you know." Presto asks, "What does mean Dungeon…" And just like that he vanishes without a trace. Diana, "Well he's never one for goodbyes." Bobby, "Yeah but where is that portal back home he mentioned?" Sheila then asks, "And what do you suppose he meant by 'from the world of your birth but not from the world you know?" Eric in a dismissive tone, "Who cares either it is a way back home, or it's just another of his wild goose cases he has go on." Uni then bays in the direction of North and Presto points as he says, "Look," as he points to a red light shining through the trees. Hank, "Like he said, the portal home is in that direction so let's get moving." Eric, "Sure not like we got any better options." Then he hears Vengers roar of furry. Making him and run as he shouts, "Wait for me."
Just beyond the tree line in a meadow Luz and her friends emerge from the portal. Gus shouting, "It worked! We're back in the demon realm. Look the sky is the correct color." Luz then gently tells him, "Uh Gus take another look. The leaves on the trees are still green. I think we've arrived at sunset." Then pointing up at the sky as she continues to point out, "Also like the human realm there is only one sun the sky. I count five." Amity putting her left hand on Luz's right shoulder, "Well it was still a good attempt. At least the portal didn't explode or catch fire on us this time." Hunter then steps in. "Well maybe we can head to the nearest town if they exist here and somebody, hopefully a powerful witch, demon, or warlock, can help get us the rest of the way home." Willow stops him by putting her arm out in front of him as she says hearing movement, "Hang on Hunter. Do you all hear something?"
Then out from the trees burst the D & D kids. With them all stopping as Eric runs into Hunter. Hank in shock and disbelief asks, "Woah who are you people?" Sheila asks, "I don't believe it. More human kids here." Gus, "Yeah we're not human." Pointing at his and the others ears before performing his illusion magic. Luz then steps forward, "Yeah they came here from the human realm with me, but they're not from my world." Presto then in wonder, "Whoa another human girl from our world meeting us here through a portal, that's incredible."
Diana is the first to step forward and offer her hand to shake Luz's since they are both standing at the front of their groups. "It's great to meet you and your friends. My name is Diana Finfield." Luz, "Likewise, I'm Luz Noceda." Pointing out her friends, "These are my friends from Boiling Iles from within the demon realm" Eric, "Demon Realm! Are they here to steal our souls." Amity retorts, "What? No! In our world Demon just mean non-witch magical sentients and beast. Also, my name is Amity Blight. But you can call me Amity. These are Willow, Gus, and Mr. Broody over there with the Robin is Hunter." Sheila notices ghost. "Oh, what a cutey." Amity, "This is Ghost she's my Palisman." Bobby, "What's a palisman?" Willow steps forward with Clover sitting on her shoulder as she explains. "Well simply put they are a witches magical companion animal that are made from the branch of a palistrum tree. Usually you carve it yourself, or in our case these little guys were abandoned or lost their witches. So, we adopted them or rather they chose us because of our complimentary personality traits. Also serving as our magical staffs. Allowing us to perform more powerful spells and allowing those without wings to fly. Plus, they are great for emotional support."
Hank steps forward to tell the BI kids, "Well it's nice to meet all of you. My name is Hank. This is bragger of a cavalier is Eric. The others are Presto, Sheila, her little brother Booby. You've already met Diana, and this is Uni. She's our companion unicorn."
Uni walks up to Luz. She sniffs and then rubs up against her legs. Luz then strokes and tickles under her jaw and around her ears as she says, "Well aren't you the sweetest little unicorn ever." She then gently strokes the top of her snout as Bobby says, "Well if Uni likes them. Then they must be good people."
Luz then locks eyes with Presto as he shakes her hand as Luz asks after shaking, "Why do I get the feeling we've got a lot in common?" Presto, "I don't know, but something tells me we're going to best friends." Hunter then steps in to take Luz shoulder before pointing towards the sky, "Hey sorry to interrupt but we've got company incoming."
No sooner does Hunter say that. Venger upon his nightmare steed comes out along with his army of orcs and lizard men. Gus asks, "Whoa! Who is this sorry sight?" Diana, "Oh that is Venger the evil wizard of darkness who wants our weapons so he can be master of this entire world. He's been trying to steal them forever." Gus, "Well that sounds less than what Emperor Bellos tried to do in ours. He fed on…"
Luz in shock trips back and accidentally activates a fire glyph. Luz, "Whoa! The glyphs work here." Then turning to face Willow while holding up a hand full of plant glyphs. "Leave these guys to us. Right Willow." "Right Luz."
Luz slams her plant glyphs on the ground while Willow makes two large spell circles while her eyes glow green as she then slams the ground with her hands. Then, 'Blam!' magical vines shoot out of the ground and ensnares all of Vengers forces. Making Venger pause. The DnD crew all go "Wow! Cool!" Luz looks at Amity, Gus, and Hunter as she says, "Oh you have seen nothing yet. Guys show them what you can do." All three go, "Right!"
Hunter with Flapjack in staff mode zips around throwing some of the other Orcs off and knocking them on their backs. Amity summons six abominations and then envelopes herself in abomination slime like Darrius and starts taking out the lizard men.
Hank turns to his group to say, "Come on gang lets help out too." Diana in response, "With you all the way Hank." Bobby, "Yeah it's barbarian time."
Bobby slams the ground and makes an earthquake to knock Vengers remaining forces fall over.
Venger blasts at Luz who then uses a circle of fire glyphs to make a stream of magical fire that repels Vengers attack. She then slams an ice glyph on the ground as lizard warriors charge at her to cover the ground in ice to make them slip. Before throwing another to make an ice wall they slam into. Venger blasts at her again, but before Luz takes a breath and uses her cloaking spell to turn invisible. She and Gus appear next to Presto who is trying to conjure something from his hat but only random household objects come out. Presto asks Luz, "How did you do that? How'd you perform those spells?" She holds up her glyph covered paper posits. "I'm a witch. Well kind of still a witch in training. However, while other witches and demons are able to do magic because of magic bile in a sack attached to their hearts. I learned how to do magic because of these glyphs I discovered when in the demon realm. They function similar to the four elements in magic. Though unlike others they are light, fire, ice, and plant. Not the usual fire, earth, wind, and water. Though they actually function similar to words to command the magic around them to specify what you want done." Another blast from Venger that Luz repels with an ice shield. "Though we're going to have to save that for later. What are you trying to do?"
Presto, "I'm trying to pull out something to use against Venger, but so far nothing. I've got too many things going on that I can't get what I'm asking for." Then Gus asks, "Hey maybe there's another way to get rid of horn head. What does he fear?" Presto then tells him, "Well almost nothing except Tiamat. She's a five headed dragon who is basically invincible and shoots out fire, acid, poison gas, ice, and blue lightning from her heads. But how can that help us?" "She can't but she can with me," Gus says as he brings out his spy glass. Makes a magic circle and then his and Presto's eyes glow blue as he scans Presto's memory. "Got it!" Presto in confusion, "What did you just do to me?" "Saw what I needed." Then Gus makes a large spell circle while riding his staff.
Despite their best efforts. Both groups of kids are surrounded by Venger and his forces. Venger mocks them as he says, "You all put up a good fight, but now its over. As for you other children. I don't know where you came from, but this is now your end." Then he turns in disbelief when he hears a terrible and familiar roaring shriek that makes him turn in terror at the sight of his greatest nemesis. "Tiamat!" "Venger! This is your end." She blasts at him with fire and ice. This makes all of Vengers forces run away in terror. Shouting, "Retreat!" Tiamat then fires at Venger with all her breath attacks. Making Venger flee too. Before she gives another terrifying roar.
Tiamat then turns back to face the kids with them all gearing up for another battle. Eric being the first to say, "Oh great, as if Venger wasn't bad enough now we have to deal with miss dragon breath. Standing before them Tiamat then gives a "Boo!" Before laughing like a hyena. Eric, "What is she laughing about?" Diana, "Yeah she never laughs." Tiamat then to their surprise says, "Because I am not…" She vanishes in blue mist to reveal Gus and Luz on his staff as he finishes saying, "Tiamat."
Hank asks Gus, "Wow! How'd you do that?" "Illusion spell. Your friend Presto's of your past encounters with Tiamat provided what I needed to make the illusion." Luz holding up her fire, ice, and light glyphs, "And provided the fire power along with Gus's power ups to truly sell it." Amity rushing up to hug her as she says, "That's my girlfriend for you. Always pulling off the unexpected." Then they kiss on the lips right in front of everybody which makes Eric go, "Eww gross." Amity then turns in anger as she says, "What was that?!" Everyone looking at Eric as he staggers, "What did you just call what happened?" Eric, "I said gross because…. Ahhhh!" He is grabbed by a massive abomination hand from Amity as she goes super mode. "Do you think it is disgusting when two people who love each other kiss, or only when you see two people of the same gender kissing? You sound like those bigots in the human world who refuse to accept universal unconditional love born of the need for joy. And like my mother who did not approve of Luz. For she helped me become a better witch then I was before we met." Luz shouts at her, "Amity what are you doing?" "He's like those jerks and other bigots of your world who will accept or tolerate relationships like ours." Looking back to him. "Maybe the most merciful thing to do is to make it so there is one less bigot anywhere." Raising her left hand while keeping him pinned with her right and changing her left hand into a big u-shaped blade. Then Luz appeals to her, "Please don't kill him. I know what he said was hurtful, but if you kill him then you will just be as wicked as any wicked witch he thinks of when he hears Witch. I can't… Please Amity let him go, for me and for what it means to be a good witch as shown by Azura." She takes another at Eric struggling to breath under her hand. Then turns back to face Luz as she says, "Only for you and Azura." Releasing Eric as she changes back by compressing and putting her abomination slime back in its jar. Eric stands up with gasps as Luz hugs Amity and gently pats her back. Thank you, sweet potato." Facing Eric, she tells him, "Look, Eric is it, I'm sorry for how she reacted. She's had to go through a lot. Breaking free of an oppressive mothers ways that did not allow her to be herself, and having to face that what is accepted normal behavior in her world. Is not always looked on favorably in our world. For which it is a constant struggle to peacefully resists those who are not tolerant of being a homosexual. But I will not deny who I am and who I love. Just like Amity because being one and a witch makes me feel like the authentic me and brings me true joy. Call it what you will, but we will never let short sighted folks who say hurtful words towards relationships like ours stand int the way of what helps make life worth living. Relationships, whatever form they come in and with whoever brings you trye jot because of it."
Eric is about to say, "Pretty, but that's still…" Hank grabs him by his shoulder, "Eric shut up." "But they… Ow!" Uni sticks him in the rear with her horn. "But, but…" The group looks at him with cold hard eyes. "Alright well if you can't say or think of anything nice to say. Then just don't say anything."
"Roar!" Another roar just like Tiamat shakes the group Eric turning towards Presto and Gus, "Okay you magic goof balls. Funs over now knock off the Tiamat illusion." Gus says, "That wasn't me." "Nor me," Presto says in response.
Sheila points to the sky saying, "Guys we've got company." Tiamat appears flying out of a cloud in the sky. Eric, "Quick everyone head for the portal…" He jumps back as Tiamat fire blast the ground and now blocks the way to the portal. She then uses he green head to shoot out poison gas. Willow immediately puts up a vine wall. Then she along with Luz tries to make a shield around the others, but Luz gets knocked outside with a blank sheet of paper and Presto's hat. With Amity shouting "Luz!" Only to be stopped as Tiamat rains down a barrage of all her breath attacks on the group with the others struggling to hold up a barrier that is draining them.
Luz comes too and sees what her friends are facing. She then sees a piece of burnt wood that is now charcoal and Presto's hat. "I've always wanted to try this." She uses the stick to make a large glyph combo on the ground with the light glyph in the center and the other three in a triangle pattern with the plant glyph on top and the fire/ice ones at the base points. Then connecting them all together and making a circle around it. Then stepping into the center, she activates while also using another four-glyph combo with all the glyphs in a circle with lines converging in the center to an empty circle. She places that one in Presto's hat and twiddles her fingers as she activates both glyph combos and asks Presto's hat. "To these glyphs and hat, I have just met. Give me what I need to save my friends from this threat." She is then enveloped in a magical vortex of many colors and emerges as a five-headed dragon herself. With her center head being dark violet on top and a lighter shade on the underside of the throat with five horns. A golden head covered in bands of the yellow light glyphs. A red and orange head with bands of fire glyphs with a fire in place of horns. A pale blue head with bands of ice glyphs and a crown of pointed jagged ice. Finally, a green head with bands of plant magic glyphs and two branch shaped horns. Lastly her body is pure gold with her arms legs, legs, tail, and wing membrane covered in stripes of all colors of the rainbow. A real five headed rainbow dragon.
Tiamat turns to face her as does the entire group with Amity saying in dis-belief, "By the titan." Gus, "No way." Hank asking, "Is that Luz." Luz's central head roars and shouts out, "Get away from friends, and face me." Tiamat with a sneer, "A challenge, but there can one dragon ruler of this realm." Luz, "Bring it on hot head, or heads."
Tiamat shoots out fire, but Luz's own fire head cancels out Tiamat's. Tiamat then shoots ice which Luz counters again with fire. Tiamat blasts lightning from her blue head and Luz's light head shoots out yellow lightning as counter. Then Tiamat from her black and white heads shoots out acid and ice. With Luz then intercepting with her ice head's attack. Freezing the acid in midair to create acidic snow and fire to repel her ice. Then from her central violet head Luz shoots out violet plasma which forces Tiamat back. Then From her green head Luz shoots out a stream of leaves. When they hit Tiamat then shrieks as though she's in agony screaming, "It can't be! It burns!"
Hunter asking, "What's going on?" Diana in response asks, "Yeah how could mere leaves be causing harm to Tiamat?"
One of the leaves makes its way to them and Willow catches it. "I don't recognize this kind of leave, but it seems to be of some kind of herb." Sheila then steps forward to take a look. "Hey I recognize this. This isn't just any kind of herb. It's Dragon Bain." Presto snaps his finger when he realizes what Sheila said, "Of course the only plant that can harm chromic dragons."
Amity tells Gus, "Gus make a voice amplifier so I can tell Luz." "You got it Blight." After Gus makes the amplifier Amity tells Luz, "Luz those leaves your plant magic head is making is Dragon Bain. It causes harm to dragons like Tiamat." Luz's central head says a quick, "Thanks babe."
Luz then aims her green head away and points it down to shoot at the ground. While the other heads repel Tiamat's attacks. Then suddenly large vines shoot out of the ground to coil around Tiamat. Making it so she can't fly away. She blasts at the vines. Then the leaves on the vines become thick with Dragon Bain making her shriek in pain. "Make it stop!" Luz then noticing that the Dragon Bain has made her armor scales around her heart become exposed. Luz, "Yeah, I'll make it stop you evil dragon. For I am the Good Witch Luz. Child of the Human Realm. Student of the Demon Realm. Now Rainbow Dragon of Unity, Righteousness, Friendship, and warrior for peace. Now eat this sucker!" With that she breaths out a breath attack from all her heads in the form of a plasma beam in a rainbow of colors. With all her magic glyphs surrounding the beam. Blasting straight through Tiamat making her dis-integrate as she shouts before retreating through a portal she makes as a sickly brown mist, "I will destroy you!" After that all Luz's roar in victory. Looking down at her friends she then dissolves away as golden mist until she returns to her human self again. Then she collapses into Amity's arms.
Presto rushes up to say, "That was super incredible!" Gus, "Got to say Luz. On a scale of 1 to 10. That was totally a 1,000!" Willow, "Way to kick that oversized lizards Butt girlfriend." Hank offering a hand to help pick her up as he says, "Got to Luz that was really incredible what you did there. Right Eric?" "Oh yeah that was super, you know what you did defeating Tiamat there. So, you know…" Saying under his voice, "Thank you." "Sorry," Amity asks, "Come again. I don't anyone heard what you said." Eric irritated replies, "I said thank you!" Diana knocks him on the back of the head, "And what else do you think you need to say to the one who saved your sorry cavaliere butt twice." Eric looking towards Amity as she pricks her ear up, "And I am," shouting, "SORRY!" Amity rubbing her ear says in reply, "Ugh, apology accepted." Amity coming back over to Luz and they kiss again. Luz then gives Presto back his hat and tells him, "It was thanks to your hat and the glyphs working tandem that made what happen to me, happen. So maybe they can help you get a better handle on your magic." Presto, "Uh thanks Luz." Bowing in respect as he says, "Good Witch Luz." Luz does the same as she says, "Your welcome and thank you as well, Presto the Great." Both getting a good laugh out of it.
Diana taps Luz's shoulder to make her turn to face Diana. "Listen I might not fully agree with your version of a relationship, but I am so proud and find it empowering how you and Amity have found this. Just promise that you will hold onto it. And don't let yourself be sad about realizing that sometimes the only way to help those you love with all your heart. Is to let them go like I had to." Luz, "You had a special someone too?" Diana, "Kosar, I knew him less than a day. Yet I felt like we known one another all our lives. That I wanted to spend the rest of my days with him. Then I had a difficult choice after fulfilling an old prophecy to banish a demonic queen away from this world forever. I had to choose between either going home or saving Kosar. I chose to save Kosar, but then he had to go home to his among and beyond the stars. It hurt, but I was told I would see him again. Still love really is the thing that ultimately saves when we choose the needs of others lives before our own. So, when you find it. Never stop working to keep it alive. Promise?" Luz, "I promise."
Eric then interjects, "Hey you guys haven't you noticed anything? The baddies are gone and we've got a way home. So, what are we waiting for, let's go!"
"I wouldn't be too hasty there Cavaliere." "What, oh it's you again DM." Luz asks Hank, "Who is he?" "This is Dungeon Master. Our guide through this world who sends us on missions and gives cryptic messages about what we will need to accomplish our missions."
Luz steps forward and gives a bow of respect, "Sire." "It is respectful to bow to your elders, but how about a simple hand shake." "Oh yes." After they shake DM continues to tell Luz, "That was a most impressive thing you there young one. No one in this realm has ever been able to call on the magic necessary to defeat Tiamat. While Tiamat can not be truly destroyed as she is a part of this realm and is thus a force of nature. She has retreated to the dragon graveyard to restore her strength, but she will not be a threat for quite a while. So, on behalf of all those who live in fear of her. Thank you, Luz the Good Witch of the Human Realm." Luz then gestures to her friends, "Well I can't take all the credit. My friends here were also a great big help." "As well as our new friends here," gesturing to the DnD crew. Dungeon Master then makes a locket for her with the DnD symbol of the Dragon with a shield in its mouth and a sword behind the shield. "Thank you for the gift, Dungeon Master. I am honored." Luz says as she stands and places it around her neck. DM gives a simple bowing of his head in thanks.
Then Sheila comes up and asks, "Say why did you and your friends come here?" Luz explains, "Actually we came here because we were trying to make a portal to get my friends back home to the demon realm. Similar to the portal door I used to get from the human realm to their world where I learned magic. In-order to save their families and other friends from the Collector." Bobby scratching his head, "Collector of what?" Luz, "That's simply their name or just Collector. Being neither only boy nor girl, but still a child with godlike powers. From whom Bellos learned the draining spell from… Never mind it's a long story that I feel like getting into." Presto asks Luz, "Is the place they come from in the demon realm, you called The Boiling Iles, another medieval fantasy adventure world to?" Luz, "Less medieval fantasy. More like as best I can describe it. A more modern-day child-friendly hellscape where everyone and everything lives on the gigantic magical carcass of a fallen titan where the rain water and ocean boils. Other than that, yes."
Eric butts in to say, "Hey can we talk about this when we are back home. I can't wait to get back in my own bed and won't even hearing dad criticizing Reagan in how he is running the country." Luz then asks, "Wait did you say Reagan? As in President Ronald Reagan." Eric turns back asking, "Yeah why?" "Well, it's just that I was watching a documentary about him on my phone over YouTube after another video on TikTok. After it was recommended to me by a friend on Facebook and…" The DnD are looking at her perplexed. Causing Luz to ask, "What?" Hank, "I only understood the word phone in that sentence." Luz then asks the group, "Are you telling me you have never heard of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Wikipedia, Facebook, or Bing? Do you guys even know about the internet?" Sheila asks, "What's this internet you speak of?"
Turning once again to Eric. Luz asks, "Eric you said something about your dad's criticism of President Reagan. Um… what year do you think it is on Earth right now." Eric in an arrogant tone, "Oh that's easy. It's got to still 1983." Luz and her friends look at one another perplexed all saying, "Oh Titan." Eric retorting what Luz said earlier, "What?"
Luz says, "1983 was 40 years ago. It's 2023 in the human realm when we arrived here." The entire DnD group al shout, "What?!" Diana turning towards Dungeon Master as she asks, "Is that what you meant when you said we would receive help from those who came from our world, but not the world we know." He gives a simple knob in answer.
Then Bobby points out as he points to the portal as begins collapsing in on itself, "Hey Luz I'm going out on a limb here, but I don't think your portal that you and your friends arrived here through is supposed to be doing that."
Luz, "Oh shoot!" Turning to her friends from the BI's, "I told you all this portal would be unstable." It almost completely closes until Dungeon Master re-opens it with magic streams of energy coming from his hands. He then tells Luz and her friends, "I can only keep your portal open for a little bit longer, but you need to return to your world and time now." Luz and her friends turning towards their new friends to say, "I'm sorry everyone, but we have to go." Eric then goes to the portal, "Hey come on it's the way home." Hank then tells Eric, "Think about what you just said Eric. We'd be back on Earth, but we would be 40 years out of touch with everything. We would have a harder time fitting in there then here. Besides how would our and your folks react to seeing their 15-year-old son return after 40 years." Eric in an infuriated tone, "I hate it when your right."
Turning once again to face Luz and her friends, "Just go! Quickly before I can't restrain myself from going back to Earth." Luz and her friends wave goodbye. Uni gives Luz another nuzzle and Luz gives her flowers she grows from plant glyph she puts around her neck. Then gives her a hug. Amity locking eyes with Eric, "Who knows. Perhaps in 40 years your attitude might have changed by then." Eric, "Well don't bet on it, but I will try harder to keep an open mind." Diana and Willow give each other a fist bump. Gus and Hunter are the first to walk back through the portal as Gus says, "Human Realm here we come again."
Willow is next with Luz and Amity being the last to say farewell with Hank telling them, "Thanks for all your help, and Luz Amity. Never give up. If you were able to create a portal to this world. Then I know you will be able to make a portal to get your friends home to their. Just as we will at last find a way back to our world and time." Diana in support also says, "He's right, we're all going to find a way home. I just know it." Luz and Amity holding hands are about halfway gone with them as they look back Luz says, "You got that right. Good luck to all of you." Amity, "And maybe we'll see each other in our time. So, see you in the future." They vanish as the portal collapses with an energy shock wave that knocks everyone on their butts.
Sheila is the first to speak, "I don't believe it. A human lesbian girl from our world and future who went to another world to learn magic on a mission to get her friends home to the world they came from. Not dis-similar to ourselves." Hank, "Two groups on parallel quest crossing paths at a convergence of fate." Bobby, "What are the odds?" Eric looking towards Dungeon Master, "Well DM another chance to get home lost." DM, "Not completely Cavaliere. You are each beginning to understand that home is a reflection of your heart. For as long as you keep your hearts pure and true, and keep moving forward. You will still be on the right path and course that will finally bring you all home. Just takes commitment, resolve, and patience. But for now, you have all had a most eventful day and so you all need a good night's sleep."
Back in the human realm Luz and friends are with Camilla and Vee telling them about their adventure that day. With Luz quietly looking at the necklace see was given by Dungeon Master. Amity takes her hand and addresses the group. "You know something. Those kids we met were right. We will find a way home and we are going our world and home from Bellos and Collector." Hunter shouting, "Here here." Gus makes a celebration illusion saying, "Victory." Luz and Amity hold hands as Luz asks, "Hey you want to help me change the human world. Because I have an idea."
The Next they along with their friends march in the Gay pride parade. Passing a group of on lookers in their early to late 50's. With one of them asking the one next to her. "Hey Hank, do those kids seem familiar to you." Turning to see it's the DnD group in town for a Dungeons and Dragons convention as he replies, "Yeah, they kind of do, Sheila. Like ones we met a long time ago." Then they kiss and look on as Hank asks Eric, "What do you think Eric. Well, they don't strike me as ones I know, but those two and the one with purple hair do look familiar." "Still Eric, what do you think of all this?" "I still don't agree with it, but it no longer makes me sick to see queers in public being affectionate in public anymore." Diana puts her left arm over his shoulder with right hand in Kosar's hand as she says, "Well Cavaliere, You have certainly come a long way." "I wish them all happiness."
