Lori ran through the doors to the Great Hall. No one looked up at her, for everyone was busy either treating the injured or crying over the fallen.
"FRED!"
The name echoed across the hall. Lori looked and found the source of the cry. A big family of gingers were surrounding another. Two of the family members, one a boy and the other a woman, were crying over the body. Lori caught the face of the father briefly. She recgonized the small, glassy eyes of Arthur Weasley.
Lori frowned. She looked at the two crying over the body.
The woman had short hair and wore a ragged dress. She stroked the dead boy's hair. Her sobs were perhaps the loudest of the hall.
"My-My boy is dead! My son!" she sobbed. Lori recgonized the voice of Molly Prewett. Lori turned her head the other way, and she nearly screamed out.
Bright red, almost pink, braided hair, which was covered in blood, sprawled across the floor. A cherry wood wand stood up in a dead hand. Lori kneeled next to a sobbing man and looked into the lifeless eyes of Irene Danielle.
Lori somehow knew that her Irene was alive and well, though her eyes told her otherwise.
"Lori?"
Lori looked up. The man was looking at her through red, puffy, watery hazel eyes.
"Is that you?"he asked.
"Who are you?"she replied.
She squinted her eyes at the man, and recgonized him.
"Sheldon?"
Sheldon smiled sadly at her. "You've finally returned. How's Michael and Mickey?"
"What do you mean? Who's Mickey and Michael?"
Sheldon frowned. "Nevermind."
"Were you and Irene-"
"No, Michael was. I married Jordan after you left, and she married Michael."
"Where'd I go?" she asked.
He shook his head. "You'll see soon enough. Oh, and tell my past self that Jordan loves me,"he said.
"Will do. So, what's going on?"
Sheldon looked down. "Voldemort attacked Hogwarts. They say that he's here to get James and Lily Potter's son, because he's suppose to kill Voldemort off."
Lori stared at Sheldon in shock.
"You used his real name."
He shrugged. "Fear of the name only increases fear in the thing itself,"he said.
Lori stood up.
"Bye, Sheldon,"she said.
She turned and left the Great Hall to go find the Doctor.
...
The Doctor explored the castle. He walked through the now empty halls, his red converse stepping over dust and debris. 10 minutes ago, he saw Hogwarts, the beautiful castle with it's magical charm that stood with pride. Now, he saw the downfall of the once beautiful school. Bricks from the walls were cracked and spread over the floor. Torches with a once burning brilliant flame stood dark, the only source of light was the moonlight. Shattered glass blended well with the dust, the Doctor yelping when he stepped on it. It was terrible, but that was war, wasn't it?
He stopped at the eagle statue that led to Dumbledore's office. The Doctor sighed and looked at the hallway. This is were he first met Irene and Lori, both of them eavesdropping in on his and Dumbledore's conversation.
He took out his trustworthy sonic screwdriver, and, with a click, the eagle statues rotated up. The Doctor tucked the device into his pocket and stepped onto of the steps. He stepped off the staircase, face to face with the wooden door. He opened it slowly. The office was empty, but it was untouched. Dumbledore's possesions were still there, except Fawkes the Phoenix, the ruby sword, and the Sorting Hat.
The Doctor tried on the hat his first time in here. Even though he wouldn't be attending this school, he was sorted into Ravenclaw.
"Ravenclaw? What's that, a body part of a bird?" the Doctor had asked the headmaster. Dumbledore simply smiled, his eys twinkling.
"It is amongst our four noble houses. There is Gryffindor, the brave, Hufflepuff, the loyal, Ravenclaw, the intelligant, and Slytherin, the cunning,"he explained.
The Doctor smiled sadly at the memory. He had to talk to Dumbledore.
"Dumbledore?"his voice echoed through the office, though it wasn't responded to.
The pensieve suddenly glowed, moving itself out of it's case. The Doctor walked up to the pensieve and put his hands on either side of the pensieve. A picture of Dumbledore swirled in the water. With a deep breath, the Doctor plunged into the water.
...
The Doctor was falling. He could feel the air ripping through his hair and his clothes flapping. The ground seemed to find him, making a thud sound. The Doctor stood up and looked at his surroundings. He was on the Astronomy Tower, dawn breaking over the horizon. Fawkes the Phoenix circled the tower, three teenagers watching it. He walked to the balcony the teens were standing at. He studied their features, one boy had jet black hair and a lightning shaped scar, the other had ginger hair and was really tall, and the girl had brown bushy hair and brown eyes. He recgonized them; he saw them when he first entered the Battle of Hogwarts, though they looked a year younger.
"Is Ginny going to come with us,Harry? Hunting horcruxes, I mean," the Ginger asked.
Harry shook his head. "I broke up with her at Dumbledore's funeral. Sorry, Ron," Harry replied.
A angry yet relieved look momentarily crossed his face.
"Hello? Can you tell me what's going on?" the Doctor asked. The trio ignored him. The Doctor waved his arms in front of the trio, though they didn't seem to see him. He must be invisible to them.
"So when do we leave?" the girl asked.
"I was thinking after Bill and Fleur's wedding, I don't think Mrs. Weasley wouldn't be too pleased if we didn't go," Harry said.
" Do you think your dad will let us use the tent we used for the Quidditch World Cup?" The girl asked Ron.
"Yeah, he never uses it anyway," Ron replied.
"Brilliant! I'll have everything we need ready by next week!" the girl exclaimed, clasping her hands together.
"Like what?" Ron asked, looking at her.
"Spellbooks, potion kits, cauldrons, potion ingredients, I'll even bring some of your mum's cooking with us!" she said.
Ron smiled."Hermione, you are brilliant,"he said, referring to her bringing his mum's delicious cooking with them.
"Will we ever...?" Hermione trailed off.
Harry just watched the phoenix. "I don't know,"he answered. The trio looked out to the phoenix, who flew into the horizon.
Darkness tore at the astronomy tower, and suddenly the Doctor was flying. He ripped his face out of the pensieve, panting with water dripping down his face from his soaked hair. Several questions generated through his head. What did they mean by Dumbledore's Funeral? What are horcruxes? Why were those three so keen on hunting for them? Where was Dumbledore? How was he able to see the memory?
He turned around and saw a portrait of Dumbledore hanging behind the desk.
"Doctor,"he said, smiling slightly.
"Dumbledore," the Doctor replied.
" It's been quite a while, hasn't it?"
"Yes, yes it has," he replied. "I believe some company is overdue."
"I agree. Care for a lemon drop? They're still as fresh as they were all those years ago," Dumbledore offered.
The Doctor unstuck a lemon drop and popped it into his mouth. His fave twisted at the bitter taste, but he eventually adapted to it and relaxed his face
"What's going on? How was I able to see that?"
The former headmaster put his hand up, stopping the Time Lord from asking his several questions.
"I had Snape steal that memory from Harry, in hopes that you would return and hopefully understand that memory. Now, to answer your questions, yes I am indeed dead. As you can see, the horcruxes will lead to the downfall of Voldemort, unfortunately, it has led to war,"he said, sighing sadly.
" Why are those three-"
"I am afraid, that I must go. Remember these words; Make. Her. Forget."
With that, Dumbledore left the portrait.
