The Doctor looked at the floor, Dumbledore's words to him echoing in his mind. Make. Her. Forget. What did Dumbledore mean by that? Who was he talking about? What was she suppose to forget about?

There wasn't really ladies in 'ol 10's life besides Rose, who was trapped in a parallel universe. So who was he talking about? Well, there was Lori, but she wouldn't be around long enough to become a companion, how could she? After all, she lived in a world of magic and love and friendship. Who would want to leave there?

Lori opened the door to Dumbledore's office, and found the Doctor standing there, facing an empty portrait.

"Doctor!" she exclaimed, relieved to see him. The Doctor turned around and walked to her, taking her into his arms.

"Oh, Lori, I am sorry. I am so,so sorry. I should've never taken you here. I didn't think it would be bad at all,"he said, pressing his cheek into her soft hair. Lori rested her head on his torso.

"Don't be sorry, now I know how long I have with my friends,"she said. The Doctor pulled away and looked at her, his hands on her forearms. He saw the grief in her eyes and knew exactly what she meant.

"Can we please go back home? I can't stand being here any longer," Lori pleaded. The Doctor nodded, full-heartedly agreeing with her.

They both walked through the now post-courtyard apocalypse. Dead bodies no longer covered the ground, though blood and tears were everywhere.

They left the broken castle, heading towards the mysterious blue box.

The Doctor unlocked the door and stepped in, Lori following him. He pushed some buttons, twisted some knobs, and pulled some levers, and with a jerk forward, the TARDIS took off into the Time Vortex.

Lori held onto the console, her fingers starting to ache in pain from her tight grip. With a groan, the TARDIS landed on the grounds of Hogwarts, 1971.

"How long have I been gone?" she asked the Doctor.

"About 3 hours, no one should notice,"he said, grabbing his trench coat. He threw it on, and walked ouside with Lori.

Lori could tell from the minute she stepped outside that the Doctor was wrong. Instead of a warm, cloudless day, she was met with a freezing, snowing day.

"Doctor, it hasn't been 3 hours, we've been gone for 3 months!" Lori exclaimed, crossing her arms for warmth. The Doctor and Lori walked towards the castle. The halls were empty, not a single sound beside Lori's footsteps was heard. They passed the Great Hall. About 3/4 of the population was reduced. The majority of the students must of went home for the holidays. Though, she saw one person in the crowd, the only one she recognized; Michael. He sat where Lori would usually sit, barely eating.

Lori slipped into the Great Hall and sat down next to Michael. She put her cold hand on his warm arm. He jumped up then looked at her. "Oi,mate! You're-" Michael's eyes widened at the sight of his girlfriend. He took her into his arms.

"Where the bloody hell have you been? We've been worried sick!" he exclaimed. "I had to go somewhere...it was an emergency,"she lied.

"Where?" he asked.

"I- I can't tell you," she replied.

Michael felt anger boil inside him. She's been gone for three months, leaving him to look for her wherever he could whenever he could, let alone her sister and Irene, and she couldn't at least tell him where she's been?

"Why not?" he asked, a bit of anger coming out of his voice.

"I just can't, okay?" she replied.

Michael stood up.

"No, it's not okay! YOU'VE BEEN GONE FOR THREE MONTHS! You left me here, thinking that taken by the Dark Lord-"

"What did you just call him?"Lori raised her eyebrows. Michael realized what he had said.

"I said You-Know-Who,"he replied.

Lori took him by his arm and dragged him out of the hall, taking him to a broom closet.

"You didn't say You-Know-Who,"Lori said sternly, crossing her arms."You said the Dark Lord."

Before Michael could argue, Lori took his arms and lifted up his sleeves. A Dark Mark was branded onto his arm.

"Michael Cessna! How could you?" Lori yelled-whispered, covering her mouth with her hand as tears filled her eyes. "He ruined my life. He was the reason my sister died! He's the reason i never had loving parents! He is respondsible for the death of almost my entire family! He ruined countless lives, and you decide to join him?"

"Lori, I did it-"

"DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO ME! DON'T EVEN LOOK AT ME YOU PIECE OF SHIT! IF YOU eVER COME NEAR ME, I WILL KILL YOU!" Lori shouted. She stormed out of the broomstick closet and to the common room.

...

Lori spent the next morning writing and sending letters to her friends, making up some lie to cover where she'd actually been(except Irene-she'd tell her in person), and telling them about her break-up with Michael.

She put her quill down and, without thinking, walked out of the common room. She hadn't realized until she found herself in front of Dumbledore's office.

"Cauldron Cakes,"she said. She stepped onto the rising staircase and rode them to the wooden door. She knocked on the door.

"Come in,"the voice of the Headmaster was so quiet, though you could hear him all the way from Cardiff.

Lori walked into the office. The office looked the same as it had the last time she was here.

"Ah, Lori! You've returned," Dumbledore stood up to greet the young Gryffindor.

"Yeah,"Lori said, rubbing the back of her head.

"Please, have a seat,"he gestured to one of the two chairs in front of his desk. Lori sat on it, her muscles relaxing at the cool touch of the soft cushions. She let her arms rest against the armrests."Care for a lemon drop?"

Lori shuddered."No, thank you," she said.

Dumbledore sat down in his chair. "I presume that you are here to discuss your untimely absence,"he stated.

Lori nodded."It's not what you think-"

Dumbledore held his hand up.

"I know what happend. Professor Smith came up here and cleared everything up,"he said, his eyes twinkling like stars. He leaned in and whispered,"If I say so myself, he isn't very good at actually returning someone to their time after some time-traveling."

Lori laughed. "I missed so much schoolwork, though, and my friends have been looking for me. I don't know what to do,"she frowned.

"I suggest that you ask your professors to make up for what you missed," he advised. "I'm sure they won't mind."

"Thank you, sir," she said, bowing her head slightly before she stood up.

"Oh, and Lori?"

"Yes?" Lori turned around to look at the Headmaster.

"Keep an eye on that boyfriend of yours. He doesn't seem in his right mind."

Lori smiled."Will do."

With that, she left the office.
