Shaaa….

Kagura sprinted towards the double door entrance of the school building and stopped to heave a big sigh once she was inside. She brushed through her moist forehead with the edge of her hand as she aggressively shook off most of the rain droplets from her purple umbrella by waving it in the air, "Geez, what's with the rain?!" the redhead exclaimed, "I got enough of it at my old place," she continued as as she scurried over to her cubby to change her drenched shoes, "And all of my damn food got soggy…" she huffed. When she took off her soggy slippers and heard the sound of her placing it in the locker, she scanned the unusually barren cubby room, realizing how quiet it was when normally someone like Anego would go up and talk to her by now.

This is weird...

She was being more observant than usual, and therefore a lot more skeptical. The Sadist said that he would take care of everything, and everything would go back to normal after today, but although she is glad that she told him what's happening between her and Kamui, she doesn't know whether to fully believe in his words or not. Although the Sadist is extremely tenacious (he was able to court the most dumbest and thick headed girl afterall), her brother might be equally, if not more, persistent than him. So to put the two most stubborn people in one room…

"Ah I'm probably just overthinking it!" Kagura preached to herself with her hands on both sides of her hips and her legs apart, "The Sadist wouldn't do that!" she assured, "Only an idiot would do that! An idiot! Ahahaha!" After a couple of minutes when her forced obnoxious laugh died down, she looked outside the rainy windows again and began to slightly frown. But, I really do hope… she heaved a sigh.

Please let everything be alright…

Kamui was happily whistling as he gracefully strolled down the white school hallway. It was a rainy morning, but a beautiful day to the boy who had no problems, no weaklings, and, most importantly, no idiotic sadists prancing around ruining his little sister's life.

"Today is going to be a great day!" the redhead smiled to himself as he swung his bag swung over his shoulder as he thoughtfully looked out of the big, square windows. It's been about three days since he successfully "persuaded" Kagura to stop talking to that idiot. At first he thought it would be a lot harder to get her to comply, and he wasn't surprised since it was the first day, but for some reason when she came back home she was basically as happy as before.

"Who knew that she would be so sweet and lenient?" Kamui chirped to himself as as his red strand on the top of his head bobbed up and down, "I guess my little sister really is a good girl at heart."

After gracefully ambling down the hallway a bit more, he then scanned the white hallway and noticed that there wasn't anybody around. All there was was a piece of crumpled up insignificant trash laying on the floor. Furrowing his eyebrows a bit, he lifted his right forearm to check his watch. The crease between his brows deepened in confusion. He thinks this was the normal time when he comes… so why…?

"Oh, well I guess I'm a little bit early today and I just don't know it!" he smiled, "Or everyone is late," he nodded to himself as he slid his classroom door open, "Nn, that's it, everyone is-"

When the older brother saw pass the door, it revealed a broad figure of a male casually sitting in a brown desk with his legs propped up on the table and leaning the chair back where only its hind legs are keeping him balanced.

The redhead stood stiffly still as he stared at the figure who hasn't bothered to even glance back at the opened door. The figure who was still observing the rainy weather slightly rocked his chair back and forth, making a creaking sound. Kamui took a step forward with a bit of irritance, already knowing who the silhouette belonged to. He then took another one, and then another one, and soon when he was close enough a surge of anger grew even more when he saw that the figure decided to sit himself on the desk with the familiar scratches and marks.

"Hii there," called the one with the vermillion hair with his sweet, closed smile. He subtly pointed his pointer finger at the desk, "Yes, I'm sorry, but I think that you're sitting on my desk."

"..."

The still silence and the sound of the rain outside the window were his only answer. He paused for a little longer and the only sound he got from the boy was the groans that came from the chair going back and forth.

He decided to slowly walk up to his desk ever more so. "Oiii, are you listening?" Suddenly, he stopped right in front of his desk, his shadow overshadowing the figure sitting in the desk, "I know you're not that good at listening, but I'm trying to say that you kind of need to… you know..."

SLAM!

The creaking stopped.

"Please get out of my desk."

Kamui slammed both of his hands down on the desk, one on each of the two corners closest to him, and he leaned in close to the figure sitting before him.

Finally, the head slowly turned forward, his sandy brown hair slightly ruffled as his red eyes locked in with his blue orbs. "Oi, oi, oi," he smirked, "This sad little boy just happened to walk into this unlocked classroom, so how am I suppose to know that this was you're desk?" he added, "aren't you being a little bit rude?"

Kamui twitched a little bit as his a vein popped on his forehead. What the heck? Why is the idiot here? He hasn't seen his face in awhile, and he thought that he got rid of him, so why is he back again? Is he going to interrogate him on why Kagura isn't talking to him anymore? Or maybe he has nothing else to do in his life other than to annoy other people? That's right, he's probably doing this as an escape since Kagura won't talk to his sorry ass anymore. Still, why does he have to act in such an adverse and antagonistic way?

He really pisses me off…

"Are you deaf? I told you to get out of my desk."

"Hey, hey, you're hurting my small, fragile feelings here," he deadpanned, "Seriously, is this a genetic thing? Why is your whole family obsessed with their desks? DO you have some sort of disease? A desk-fetish disease? Oh I hope it's not contagious-"

"What the hell do you take me for?!" he bellowed as he slammed his hands onto his desk once again. Then, realizing how loud the Sadist was making him, he took a deep breath in order to calmed down. He couldn't have this person raise his blood pressure so much, but his fists were still clenched to suppress the anger, "Alright, alright. I forgive you," he annoyingly stated, "Now why don't you get out my seat and then we can call it a day?"

"Hai, hai," Sougo sighed as he slowly stood up with his hands shoved in his pockets, pushing the chair back, "Sorry for the trouble," he lazily said.

"Just get out," he commanded.

"Hey, it's not good to get so worked up all the time," He closed his eyes as he began to walk pass Kamui, "It'll make your hair fall out," but right when they were right next to each other, Okita gave a sneer as he placed a hand on Kamui's shoulder.

"Oh and by the way, " he began in a low voice, "I hope you can give back that picture soon,"he whispered as his smile grew, "Onii-san."

What...?!

Instinctively, Kamui quickly spun to his right towards the Sadist, his eyes widened in horror and confusion as he rashly grabbed Okita's left arm, rendering him to a stop.

"You..." he began shakily, his face covered in vigilance, "...How do you know about that?" he quietly asked. How does this guy know such precious information? This is bad, a guy like this with this kind of knowledge will only bring bad luck. Plus, he does not seem the type that can even remember a birthday, let alone keep a secret!

His face slightly grew paler. If he knows, then how many other people know? Probably lots by now since rumors always spread like a wildfire. And if that already happened, there is no way that he can stop any of it. However, he can at least punish this one and whoever told him for knowing it.

The sadist paused for a moment before replying with a casual shrug, "Who knows."

The redhead slightly tightened his grip until he decided to pull Okita around to face him, revealing his nonchalant look, "Don't play around with me," he bitterly stated, "Who the hell told you?" he demanded.

Kamui stood there as he rapidly scanned his eyes over the boy's face, searching for answers or signs. Suddenly, an idea came to his head, "Kagura..." Right then when he said it, he suddenly froze and his eyes seemed a bit distant.

That damn girl…

He realized. Yes, it was her. It must be her. Who else would be the idiot to tell him? Unless it was Abuto, but he knows it can't be him, unless if he wanted a death sentence. He leveled back down and his eyes suddenly turned cold as he released his grip and began to robotically walk away. He has to go find her.

"Well, if you excuse me…"

Okita turned around to follow him, his movement still ever so smooth, "Oi," he called out, "where are you doing?"

Without even batting an eye, he continue to look towards the sliding door, "I have something else to do right now, so if you can just-"

But before he could take another step, he was being blocked by the sandy-haired boy who stood in front of the door with his hands still buried in his pockets.

"Ara?" Kamui's face made a slight switch before cocking his head to the right, "Are you trying to block my way?"

"No, not at all," he answered back with a smug, "I just feel like standing here is all."

Kamui gave him an apathetic look before attempting to walk around him, "Well, if that's the case, then I just feel like leaving this conversation. So don't take it to heart-"

Suddenly, the red-eyed boy elevated and extended his leg, slamming his foot to the other side of the door frame which blocked Kamui to go any further, "Oi, oi," the sadist spoke as he looked down at the ground, "Don't you think it's a little rude to leave before finishing a conversation?" Sougo deadpanned as his bangs covered his eyes.

The brother disdainfully stared at the sadist's leg that was blocking his way before looking at the boy's face, "... Is lifting your leg up like a money acrobat something that you just felt like doing too?"

"..."

"Let me give you some advice," he sharply continued, "Get out of the way."

Sougo raised his chin and looked at his opponent with a hint of aversion, "Ahhuah, You better learn how to control that tone of yours."

With any pause, the redhead brusquely grabbed onto the leg that obstructed his path, "Like I said...!" and with his brute force he pulled it out of the way, along with the body that was attached to it, he hucked it to the back side of the room. After hearing his body slam into the ground and topple forward, Kamui turned back around to look at the fallen boy, "... Get out of my way."

The sadist slowly sat up as he wiped his mouth with his sleeve, "You know…" he laughed a bit as he leaned back with one of his arms supporting him, "you're not making yourself look too good, onii-san."

"Don't be getting so friendly with the 'onii-san..." he bitterly said as he continued to looked down on him with his normal closed smile, "...You're starting to annoy me, you know that?"

He continued on, ignoring the older one's comment comment, "And I'm sure that your poor little sister would feel sad if she knew her onii-san was being such a meanie to her fabulous boyfriend-"

Without warning, he felt a gust of wind pass by his left cheek, and suddenly he realized that a blurred red ball bolted towards the Sadist and used his right fist to punch a huge crack on the side of Okita's face.

The boy didn't even bat an eye when Kamui started talking, "Don't you dare call you her boyfriend," he intimidatingly spoke as Okita continued to sit still, "It makes me sick," there was a long pause before he continued in dismayal, "Let me tell you something…" he slowly retracted his right arm all the way back, as if to recharge it before its next blow, "You're not her boyfriend, you were never her boyfriend…" and then he attempted to push his fist into the boy's face, "...AND YOU WILL NEVER BE HER BOYFRIEND!"

But before he could land a punch on him, he ducked down and then rolled over to the side before standing up, "Oi oi, isn't that a little harsh," commented the sadistic prince as he stabilized himself from the small near-death experience, "You can't deny what happened between me and your precious little sis." He brushed off some dust from his shirt, "Well, not little in appetite anyway."

"Look," he harshly began, "If you don't want to be in pain, never step in front of Kagura's face ever again."

He looked at him for a moment before cupping his hands to his mouth, creating an "o" for a microphone, "Oh noo," the sadist fakely cried out, "HELP ME. Help me. I am so scared…!"

"SHUT UP!" shot the older brother, "Would you quit joking around?!" He then grunted in frustration, realizing how idiotic he sounds as he ruffled his vermillion red hair, "Why the hell did she tell you all this? And after I specifically told her not to..." He then mumbled to himself, "Does she not care about her mother as much as I thought she did...?"

Immediately, those words panged the Sadist's heart. Suddenly, the events came that led up to this moment came surging back into his mind. To what went down in the closet with Kagura when she told him everything...

...

"Wow," he gave a short whistle, "So basically your older brother blackmailed you with your only picture of your mom?" the Sadist summarized.

The redhead just nodded who was still hugging her knees, "Yeah, basically…" she mumbled.

"Well what about her grave?" he questioned, "Or any antique jewelry from her?" he pressed, "or the bed that she slept in?"

The girl was quiet for a moment as she looked down at the ground solemnly, "My mom…" she began, "She was frail and she was always sick… she stayed in bed for most of her life," she revealed, "but she always kept a smile on her face and helped me whenever I was in need," she explained as her grip tightened, "That was, until her sickness turned for the worse and after a few years she just died."

She started to hide her eyes behind her bangs, "Before she died, she told us that she wanted us to burn her body so we could put her ashes in an old box she always kept in her room," she said apathetically, "apparently it was her great-grandmother's," she added.

The female paused for a while before continuing her story, "However…" she paused again, "However, a few months later, my family and I… we wanted to get out for once and have dinner together which we hadn't done since she died…" she took a quiet gulp, "But when we came back, the whole place was crowded. There were firetrucks and men with red suits. I looked to see that my house was in flames."

She continued to looked down as she hugged her knees tighter, "That's when I lost everything. Her pictures, her ornaments, her furniture, her clothes… I even lost her," she shakily expressed, "...All I had was that one slip of paper that I had always kept in my pocket since she died..."

There was a moment of silence after she had explained her backstory. The boy just stared at her in shock. He never knew. He never knew that she was so impacted in her past. Considering how she always carried herself, he thought that her life couldn't have been so bad.

"And then one day that picture… it just disappeared," she weakly stated, "Ever since I lost it… the image of Mami, it just fades and fades until I can't even picture her face anymore…" she gritted her teeth, "Every day passes, and I'm starting to remember her face less and less…"

There was a long pause, as if she was thinking about the past. The past when she started to forget her mother, and who she was. Who she even looked like and the impact she had on her.

"That picture…" She finally continued as she looked up, revealing a sad closed smile as a single tear left her closed eyes, "It's the only thing that I have left of her."

Okita smirked as he let out a single-syllabled, disgusted laugh, "Wow," he commented with an undertone of anger, "To be blackmailing your sister with her mom…" he said as he brought his fists forward and slightly bent his legs, "...you're a pretty terrible Onii-san, you know that?"

Realizing that the Sadist is in a fighting position, he began to mirror a similar stance, "It's better than being the idiot that toys with my sister's feelings," he argued with a smile, "I only do what I think is right," Kagura's brother stated, "No matter what, I do whatever it takes to protect her for the future. So she won't ever have to repeat the past," he gallantly protested, "However, you're getting in the way of that..." he began to crack his knuckles as he walked closer to the Sadist, "So if I have to play the role of the bad guy for now, then so be it..." he then paused and then looked up with a malevolent smile.

"I'll be the bad guy."

Kagura casually slid her classroom door open, but when she looked what was inside, she cocked her head to the side as it showed several more bodies than it should normally enclose.

"What the heck...?" grumbled the petite girl. What the hell is going on here? And where is everyone? She scanned the whole room in an attempt to find someone she knew, but all she could see were slightly older students standing around like smelly pigs in a pen. Slowly her temper shortened with her growing failed attempts to find anyone she knows and as the numbers of these intruders seemed to exponentially heighten. Until suddenly her head perked up.

Gorilla?

Her eyes sparkled at the possible sight of seeing someone she knew, even if it was the gorilla stalking idiot that could never take a hint that Anego will never be with him. However, to her dismay, when she got a closer look, it was just another guy picking his nose. Her eyes slightly lowered and her frown slowly grew the more she looked at the idiot picking his nose and not the other idiot she knew. As her eyes glued onto the picking motion, her peripheral vision seemed to zoom into the idiotic stranger's repetitive circular motion, which caused her to clench her fists. Soon, it was as if she could hear the boogers swishing around his huge ass nose, and that was when she immediately snapped and began violently throwing people out of the way.

"ARG! GET OUT THE WAY YOU FILTHY PIGS!"

She couldn't take this anymore. Why were so many strangers in her room? Her only safe haven from her idiotic brother? She doesn't want to deal with more people around the same age as her onii-san that could potentially piss her off or spread information about her. She needed to find someone. Now. And this was the quickest way to do it. However, at some point her rampage got so out of hand she didn't even look at who she was punching anymore, and she wasn't even aware of it until she heard a familiar voice screeching out from under her fists.

"Eeee! Kagura-chan," someone shrieked, "Kagura-chan you're hurting me!"

Immediately she froze and looked to see who she was landing her fists at. Once she got a clear good look of the circular glasses and familiar normal looking, yet beat up, face, she gave a confused look.

"Eh? Shinpachi?" Kagura tipped her head to the side, "What are you doing here getting so beat up like that?"

"You did this to me dammit!" the right hand man retaliated as he directed his pointer finger at her and had his arm bob up and down.

She scoured the room while she was still on top of the Megane, unaffected of his side comment, "Hey, what happened in here?"

"Oi! Don't just ignore me! Even though I'm a side character I'm a human being too!" he exclaimed.

"Just answer my question Megane."

The boy with the classes gave a short growl and a ugly face before he adjusted his glasses with a small sigh, "I'm not sure," he finally said, "but all I know is that they all started coming in here this morning…"

"Hmm... is that so..." She contemplated for a moment before the redhead passively lifted Shinpachi's cracked glasses and pulled it closely to her blue orbs, "Well, anyway. Man, Shinpachi, you're really beaten up."

"Those are just my glasses, you idiot!"

As the rain fell outside the window next to them, the two guys were breathing heavily as they eyed at one another once again for a few moments. Both were slightly beaten up and already sweating a bit, but they knew that they were just getting started.

"Are you getting tired?" Kamui inquired teasingly, "You seem to be breathing a lot."

"Don't you worry," the boy deadpanned, "This is just a warm up," he stated, "What about you? Is your old age catching up to you?"

He gave a small smile as he continued to breath heavily, "If anything, I'm starting to feel younger from all this child's play."

"Heh," the other one gave a slight chuckle as he prepared for his stance, "Well, then that's good..." he looked down for a moment, "That way, there are no hard feelings if I beat you up, right?"

Suddenly, the sadistic boy sprinted at the brother with his right fist aiming towards his face, but missed when Kamui dodged the blow with a side step and then responded by trying to punch Okita on the side which was deflected by his arm. This hand to hand combat continued until the two both attacked with so much power that they both bounced off of each other and used the soles of their feet to decelerate from the flying force that pushed them away from one another.

"I can see why you're so cocky. You're pretty good," Kamui commented as he rolled his neck, "However…" he began, "That's only for a novice!" he bellowed as he dashed towards his opponent again, "Just like a middle school boy who thinks he's all that on his second date...!"

Both of their hands were locked in together and the two began pushing against each other with brute force, "Why are you so scared?" questioned the brown-haired boy as his arms began to rattle, "Why do you keep thinking that I'm going to ruin her if we're together?"

"That's because you already did," he stubbornly stated as his forehead slowly gravitated closer to his opponent, "You… you're always making her sad and confused. Everytime you're with her head is always up in the clouds. Sometimes she's so out of it during dinner she shoves rice up her nose instead of into her mouth…!" he uttered as veins began to pop on his arms, "I can't let you hurt her," he announced, "She's been through so much already. Parents shouldn't die when kids are young, you know, "he gritted, "Especially with a girl like Kagura."

"That picture… it's the only thing I have left of her…"

Sougo backtracked a little bit. He knew the story, or at least most of it. And he knew, although his parents died, he was too young to even care. The only person he has in his life is his older sister. And although she was still sick, she was still alive. He never had the feeling of having someone he loved leave him. Well, except the time when Kagura told him not to see her anymore.

Kamui continued solemnly as he looked down at the ground, "She was finally becoming herself when we came here… she was finally turning cheerful again…" he then lifted his chin to glare at the Sadist dead straight in the eye, "But you…" Suddenly, he took a tight grip and latched onto the boy's hand and began to spin him around until he let go, causing Okita to go flying, "YOU CHANGED THAT!" he lashed out, "YOU MADE HER THIS WAY! All sad and confused and lost again!" he cried, "And I realized that no way in hell do I ever want her to look like that again!"

As Sougo was being flung into the air, he did a backflip and safely landed on his two feet as knees bended for a moment before standing up straight again, looking at the brother, "And you know what I realized?" he asked, "That you have severe sister-complex."

He gave a look as a vein popped on his forehead, "Is that all you have to say from that?"

"It's just amusing," Okita commented as he began to walk forward, "That you think that the way you're doing things is any better," he spatted as he rolled his shoulders, "Let me just ask you something: How is getting rid of Kagura's only possession of her mother making her better?" he interrogated, "Admit it," he smirked as he rendered himself to a stop, "you're hurting her just as much as I supposedly did."

"Shut up!" Kamui exclaimed as he attempted a blow on the boy's face with his right leg, "You have no right to say that," Kamui ranted, "You don't know anything!"

The sandy-brown haired boy took a swift step to the right and spun around Kamui, "... That may be true, I may not know everything," he began, "But what I do know is that with the parts that I do know, your sister told me," he countered, "She told me. Your little sister confided in me things she probably never told anyone else," he stated, "You know why? Because China knows me. She told me things because she trusts in me, she believes in me, and she 100% knows that I am not going to leave her, or hurt her like what you apparently say that I do."

"Be quiet!" exclaimed Kamui as he threw some leftover pencils that were on the ground, "Fine, I'll admit that when she's with you, she seems to be smiling and happy. But that doesn't mean anything," he stated, "So what if she trusts you? So what if she has feelings for you? She doesn't know anything! She doesn't know how things can go away so quickly. At her age she can get fooled like how a baby chick gets fooled into going into a snake's mouth," he assured, "And that's why I'm here. I'm the guardian that has to protect her from going into any mouth. To any hidden danger that comes her way," he said, "If she becomes attached to something too quickly, it'll leave before she ever knew she had it in the first place," he revealed, "And if I'm not there to prevent that, who would?"

The sadist rubbed his head, "I would."

"No you wouldn't!" he answered boldly as he pointed a finger at him, "You're no guardian! You're just another snake that is getting in the way!"

Right after that sentence, Okita immediately pounced at the redhead with a tight fist, but Kamui effortlessly dodged it and tried to initiate a counter attack with a kick on Okita's side, which he blocked. Suddenly, a rhythm began to form. Hits back and forth as well as dodges and deflects. Throughout this whole spar the two continued to banter with one another.

"Why can't you just get it in your head?" Okita aggressively spatted, "I'm not toying with her feelings," he demanded, "I would never truly hurt her."

"And how will I know that?" Kamui asked defiantly, "How do I know that you're not just one of those lying bastards?"

"I'm just not!" he retaliated.

"What kind of answer is that?!"

"Just believe me!"

"I can't do that!"

"Damn it…" the sadist mumbled to himself as he attempted another blow, "Why are you being such stubborn onii-san?!"

"I told you not to call me that anymore!" he bellowed as he initiated a kick but failed. He then looked back up menacingly, "C'mon just show me then...!" he teased, "Show me how you're not a narcissistic idiot-"

With that, while the brother was busy spewing words out of his mouth, Okita was able to find an opening through the sharings of punches and kicks, and landed a hard fist on Kamui's right cheek, causing him to fly across the room. Immediately following, there was a loud crash as Kamui flew threw a couple of desks and hit the back of the room, giving a ragged pathway for Okita to walk through.

The sadist slowly walked up to him, breathing hard, and then, he stopped and stood for a moment. Suddenly, he took in a huge breath and, as if he was condensing all of his rage within him, he bellowed out three strong words.

"I LOVE HER!" he finally exclaimed. There was a long pause as silence seemed to have dragged on, "I love her, okay?" he repeated, "Isn't that a reason enough...?

The words echoed as the rain engulfed the air as no one spoke in the room under the florescent lights. Kamui was immobile and almost seemed so unconscious that Okita thought for a moment that he was talking to a dead corpse. However, there was an abrupt movement as the redhead meekly lifted his arm to wipe the blood off of his face.

"Heh… love?" he weakly retorted. He began to shake his head as a smile formed on his face. He then looked up, "You? love her?" he spoke as his volume slowly grew in sound and anger, "Ha! How amusing!" the redhead chuckled, "You don't love her. You can't love her..." he retaliated. With a slight grunt, he slowly stood himself up and after dusting his clothes off with his hands as the crumbs of concrete fell back to the ground. He looked at Okita straight in the eye with a piercing look, "That's just bullshit," he spatted, "Who in their right mind would want to be with such a glutinous, violent, and stubborn girl, where the only talent she has is to eat more servings of rice than a sumo wrestler," he questioned, "how can a guy like you love a girl like her!?"

That's when the Sadist looked a him a bit dumbfounded and chuckled a bit as he smiled to himself, "Heh, that's a good question," he finally answered, "That's true. How can a guy like me, the most handsome, charming, and talented guy like such a short, monstrous, and flat chested girl…" he contemplated as he scratched the back of his neck, "And to be honest," he began, "I have no idea either…"

The redhead stood still for a moment, eyes widened and face shocked, but then he looked down and then had an amused look on his face, "How interesting… " he mumbled, and then soon his smirk turned into a chuckle, "You're an interesting guy you know that? To go this far…" his chuckled stopped, "This is the best act so far," he mused.

Okita immediately looked at him with displeasure and shcok. He was silent for a moment, "...You think I'm kidding?"

"Think?! I know you're kidding!" bellowed Kamui, "You expect me to believe in all that?" he interrogated boastfully, "I know your type," he began more quietly, "You're the kind of guy that loves to lie to people's faces for your benefit, a guy that only cares for himself. The only reason why you get attached to things is because it benefits you and only you," he bitterly stated, "All you are is a narcissistic sadist that finds joy in playing around with other people's feelings," he added bitterly with his icy cold eyes, "You're a disgrace to be able to set foot on this earth."

The Sadist just looked at his opponent with a dumbfounded look. Those words that he described him… it surprised him. Not because they were so farfetched and out of ordinary, or because they were so terrible and painful, but because if he said those words a year before, before he truly met China, those words he put out in front of him… they would've describe him completely.

He closed his crimson eyes in reminiscence before giving a smirk, "Wow, you really know how to use your mouth," he chuckled with a slight grimace.

I hate to admit it, but in reality, if he hadn't met that glutinous girl…

He gave out a sigh.

...I really would've been an idiot.

"Well, if that's how you want it to be..." the sadist began as he rolled his shoulders and closed his eyes for a moment, "then I guess I can't do anything about it."

"Ha," the older brother scoffed in amusement, "Don't make it seem like you have the authority here," he stated. He put his hands over his hips and attempted to look down on the Sadist, even the two were the same height, "You know, if you want to leave now you still have a chance-"

"Haiii," the sandy-haired boy interrupted in his apathetic voice as he casually raised his right hand, "before we start with this business can I say something?"

Sorry China…

The redhead slightly twitched in annoyment and rolled his eyes before replying, "What is it?"

I know you didn't want anyone to get hurt…

He opened his eyes as he lazily pointed directly at Kamui's vermillion hair, "You know, I was trying to be a kind soul so I didn't mention it before…"

...however…

"but your freakishly long ass braid makes you look stupid."

it looks like someone's got to go…

"Ha… Ha…"

As the rain continued to fall even harder, the glutinous girl was losing breath as she sprinting down one of the school hallways with vivid fear in her eyes as she reminisced what happened back in her classroom...

...

"Oh yeah," one of the older unfamiliar faces spoke in trepidation in the crowded room, "when we came into our classroom, there was this bishounen looking guy that told us to get out and come here, and to bring all of our classmates with us except one," he shivered for a moment, "We told him that this was our classroom, but then he gave us such a deadly look that we couldn't fight back…"

Kagura looked at him steadily, but worriedly, "Do you by any chance know who this guy was?"

"Uh, let's see…" he closed his eyes as he crossed his arms in thought, "I don't think he ever told us his name, but I know that he had light brown hair and these scary red eyes…" he looked back up, "Wait, you're not going to go to the classroom right? Oi, Oi!"

There was a slight churn in Kagura's stomach as she continued to run. Even though he didn't say the name, she is already sure who this person was judging from the description and actions.

Sadist, you idiot…! What the hell are you doing?! The redhead began to pant harder as she attempted to pick up her speed and her form broke a little bit. She hoped that these turn of events wouldn't happen. That he wouldn't face her brother head one, because things can only get messy if you directly talk to Kamui. No matter how many stupid-ass words you shout at him, it'll just go in one ear and come out the next.

Arg, why didn't he tell me?!

She looked up as the different sign names of the rooms flew by until she suddenly screeched to a stop to find her destination. Barely stopping for a moment to catch her breath, she violently slid open the door to reveal what was inside. However, what she saw caused her pupils to dilate and face to grow even paler than she is. And now after witnessing it, a part of her wished that she didn't see what she just saw.

What was before her was exactly what she was afraid of, what she was terrified would happen if she revealed her secret. Right before her frightened eyes were the Sadist, but he didn't look like his usual self. Unlike him nonchalantly leaning next to a wall with his signature smirk, he was on the ground, lying helplessly as he floated in a small pool of his blood that trickled down the sides of his swollen face and bruised chest. Now, in fact, he didn't even look human. All she could see was a ragged, stray dog that was being beaten on the side of the street.

Right before her older brother was going for another beating, he took a minute to pause once he saw his little sister standing there like an idiot and smirked a bit before lowering his slightly bloody hand, "Ah, Kagura," he smiled, "Perfect timing. How did you know we would be here?" he asked without an ounce of guilt.

Kagura ignored her brother's comment as she slowly walked over to the horrendous site, "...What do you think you're doing...?"

All Kamui did was give off his infamous closed smile, "Nothing," he answered as he shoved the Sadist back down and stood up, "Just giving this idiot a lesson for not knowing his place."

The girl continued to walk forward as she ignored her brother's comment once again until she stopped right in between the two guys and faced her body towards Kamui. She studied him carefully and realized that there were little to no marks on him which is impossible if she went up against him. Even though it was a possibility that her brother is stronger than the Sadist, he can't be that strong where the idiot got all the hits while her even more idiotic brother somehow received no damage. So how is that possible?

Suddenly, her eyes widened, and that's when she knew.

Did he purposely let himself get beat up like this…?

Is it because he didn't want to hurt my idiotic brother for me?

"Oi, Kagura," he sweetly called out with a hint of annoyance, "What do you think you're doing standing in front of my opponent?"

When Okita heard that unordinary name, he pried open his eyes to see what was going on, and his red orbs widened a bit when he saw the familiar half circles on the side of her head and attempted to stand up but then miserably fell back down to the floor, "Teme… China" the Sadist uttered, barely conscious, "what do you think you're doing? Get out of the way," he meekly ordered, "Don't you know not to disrupt a fight between two men?"

"Baka," spatted the glutinous redhead, "It isn't a fight when one willingly gets himself beaten up like a moron," she commented, "Geez, sometimes I don't know whether you're an S or an M…"

Sougo's face froze for a moment before he looked down with a smirk, "Heh…" he weakly chuckled, "Harsh as always I see…"

"Alriight what do we have here?" Kamui announced in slight irritation, "Two kids playing around together when they're not suppose to?"

"Shut up," the girl combatted, "I can go play and talk to whoever I want right now," she stated, "What the hell do you think you're doing, hurting someone so much like this?"

He just smiled, "I would advise for you to stop talking," he warned, "or your brother will really get mad."

"When are you ever not mad these days?" questioned his little sister in an aggressive manner, "You're just like a cranky old man wallowing around and waiting for his death," she insulted, "So just go wallow somewhere else and not here."

"Oi, oi…" the nii-san uttered, "I think you're forgetting who's really in charge here," he began as he slipped his hand into his jacket and pulled out a slip of paper as his smile stayed but his eyes revealed his deep blue orbs, "It's me, remember?"

Seeing the picture of Kagura's mom made her legs froze and her tongue tied as her mind became slightly disjointed. Suddenly, all the memories came surging back into her head. The familiar hugs given by her mom, the soft voice that would rock her to sleep, the fire that ended everything….

Oh right.

She is such an idiot. She was so caught up in everything, she almost forgot the whole reason why this conflict began. The reason why she was so afraid of going behind his back and going against him. Why she couldn't be the superhero and save everything much sooner. That's right… it was her stupid brother, his stupid actions and decisions, and her stupid self for not being able to do anything about it.

Kamui grinned as he waved the photo back and forth, "Now," he chimed as his smile grew like a cheshire cat, "What were you saying before?"

She clenched her fists as she glared at her blood relative with contempt and frustration. Why the hell does this always happen? Where she wants one way to happen and then something else that she completely forgot about has to get in the way. Her stomach began to churn so much that she was starting to feel sick. She doesn't want this little piece of paper to cause her so much trouble, she doesn't want to care so much about it… but… but… it's the last thing of her Mami.

"Hey, don't be so angry," he playfully spoke, "You're the one that brought this upon yourself," suddenly his eyes lit up as he lifted his pointer finger up in the air, "How about this! I'll give you another chance to redeem yourself," he suggested, "If you do the one thing I say, I'll give you back this lovely picture of your mom! Now what would that command be is another question…" he thought for a moment as he rubbed his chin until he gave a smile when a lightbulb went off in his head, "Oh I know!" he sang, "Why don't you give that boy a nice, hard punch?"

Kagura's blue orbs widened in disbelief as her heart dropped, hoping that she misheard on what her idiotic brother suggested, "...What?"

"Yeah that sounds good," he nodded to himself, "That way I know that you care about me more than this boy over here, and that you understand what I'm trying to tell you is right," he smiled, "Just give it to him right on his face. That'll shut him and you up," His grin became more menacing, "For good."

The petite redhead froze for a moment in awe before slowly turning around and looking down at the half-beaten up Okita. The girl couldn't believe it. She doesn't want to do that. She couldn't live with herself. Sure she's given the Sadist several punches before, but this one is different. Normally, it would be an equal fight with both of them going against one another. And either way, it's not like she ever was intending to truly injure, or at least most of the time anyway. Never before did she have to hurt him so helpless, when his is in no condition to fight back. If she punches him like this, she isn't fighting back like how she usually does, but she's just hurting him. She'll be abusing him. And she could never forgive herself if she did a thing like that.

But what about her mom? If she didn't do as he say, her mom would truly be gone. If it weren't for her memories, it would be as if her mom never existed in the first place. If she gave him one little punch, then she could get the picture back and she could be with the Sadist because her brother would have nothing else against her. But it wouldn't be a little punch. Kamui knows how hard she punches, and he wants her to go all out, and that'll definitely cause Okita to go to the hospital. And how could she stand to be with him knowing that she caused him so much pain? And not only that, but who knows what else her brother has in store to blackmail her with? It'll probably not end here…

Her frown grew the more she saw the Sadist laying there in silent pain. Why can't she just let go of of this one stupid piece of paper? It's just a picture…! But it's the last thing of her mom… But! If she doesn't stop caring so much about it, she'll also probably be seeing the last of the Sadist. Forever.

She gingerly bent down on one knee to get a closer look at her newly found love and studied his broken face. Unlike his normal clear and nonchalant expression, he looked pained, and she could tell that he was clenching his teeth to prevent from him wincing. His whole visage was covered in blood and bruises, so much that his eyes and mouth were slightly buried from his swollen skin. He then barely opened one of his eyes to get a peek of the glutinous girl. When he noticed the frustrated look on her face, he gave a slight smirk, "Oi China," he called out in a raspy tone as he breathed heavily, "You've got a really ugly look on your face right now."

"Shut up," she mumbled as she looked down and hid under her bangs, "I don't need to hear it from you right now."

He studied her face and was quiet for a moment, "...Just do it," he finally said.

Kagura shot back up and looked into his lifeless eyes, "...What?"

His grin widened a little bit, but he still looked pained, "C'mon, don't tell me that you're more of a wimp than I thought you were."

"But-"

"Don't worry about me," he comforted, "Although I have a fragile heart, I won't take this too seriously," he confessed, "Although I'm going to have to get back at you two times worse."

She looked at him with a mixture of love and hurt. Is this what he really wants? Is he trying to make her happy or something? To get rid of the anxiousness that has been building inside of her? Still unsure of herself, she slowly grabbed onto a lock of his hair lifted his head by tugging on his sandy brown hair as she saw the Sadist to clench his teeth and lids because of it. She already knew that when she was doing this, her brother's smile was probably going crazy with that impudent look on his face. She started to look at his face again as she furrowed her eyebrows.

But is this what I really want?

"That's right," Kamui snickered, "That's a good girl, Kagura."

She slowly raised her other hand up, shaking a bit.

Is this what Mami would want?

She then clenched it. Clenched it so hard until her knuckles turned white and that her arm started shaking. But she didn't know whether it shook because it was clenching is so hard or because she was scared of what was coming next.

Mami…

"...Mami!" the little redhead called her mother with a cheerful smile, "You know Mami, you're the person that I love the most in the whole wide world!"

Her mom just quietly giggled as she laid in bed before putting a hand on her daughter's head, "I love you very much too Kagura," she smiled, "But I want you to know that at some point, there is probably going to be someone else that you're going to love even more than me."

She cocked her head to the side, "What? Like Papi?"

She looked at her little one with kind and patient eyes, "No not poppy," she spoke, "A person that you probably have never met yet."

The glutinous girl looked at her with confusion, "What?! No way!" she exclaimed, "There's no one else that I can love more than you!"

The mother gave another comforting smile as she rubbed the head that she placed on, "I know it's hard to imagine it now, but believe me, there are many other people for you to love and care about. You may not understand it now, but I want you to share the love that you have for me, okay?"

After having that flashback, a new feeling was flowing inside of her. Suddenly, she lowered her hand, and instead of resting it beside her, she placed it under the Sadist's chin and pulled her whole face towards him with her eyes closed. Within a second, her puckered lips made contact with his, causing his eyes to pop out of his face, and she immediately dropped his head before getting back up and facing her dumbfounded brother.

The older one had a look of disgust and shock plastered on his face as he tried to form words with his mouth, "T-T-TEME!" the brother struggled to say as he accusingly pointed at his sister and as his eyebrow flickered, "Wh-WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" he rampaged, "AHH! You lips! You sullied it with his dirty mouth! That kiss! How could you?!" He placed his hands on both sides of his head and started flailing around as steam came out of his head, "When I meant 'to give him a good one' I meant to punch him hard you idiot!"

She started picking her nose as her eyes became like Ginpachi-sensei's, "Like I care."

"Nani?!" a chill went down his spine, "You just kissed the most dirtiest boy there is and you're telling me that you don't care?!" her brother looked at her with shock until he took a long, deep breath before he smiled again and greedily took out the picture, "Don't you realize what'll happen to this if you don't follow what I say?"

She dug out the booger she was looking for and then flicked it at him, "I don't care."

"Huh?"

"Are you deaf? I said I don't care!" she exclaimed, "Go wipe your butt off with that photo if that's what you want," she snootily said.

His mouth dropped, "B-but," he was trying to form words with his mouth once again, but he didn't know what to say, "But you-"

"Hey," she courtly cut in, "I have to admit you really had me going there, but thinking about it I can't let a picture make me do such violent and terrible things," she gave a sigh, "Look. There was a time when I was scared of losing things too. When Mami died I didn't know what to do with myself. It was like a part of my heart was ripped out of my chest," she confessed, "But then when I came here, I met so many great people," she said with a subtle smile, "and although I still love Mami very much and don't want to lose her, I know that she wouldn't want me to give up something I love for her. Because she said that she wanted us to share our love with other people!" she exclaimed as she pointed at the beaten up boy, "And although I hate the Sadist, I love him, and I don't want to lose him. And I know that Mami wouldn't want me to lose him or any of my precious people either, even if I might lose them one day," she assured, "So you know what! Just stick it up your asshole!" she grinned, "I'll probably be the one that's laughing in the end anyways."

Right after her life changing speech, there was a long silence as Kamui looked at his sister with a blank face and a hint of betrayal, as if she had sucked his soul out of his body, leaving him lifeless. He shakily looked down for a moment, but then the sides of his lips slowly curved upwards until he proceeded to a chuckle, which caused Kagura to look at him suspiciously. Suddenly, she realized that he was doing something with his hands. And that's when she noticed that the picture that was in his hand didn't look like a picture anymore, it was now just crumpled piece of paper.

"Heh, I see…" he began as he continued to squish the ball tighter, "So that's how it is…" then out of the blue, he violently threw the scrap of paper out on the side, "Okay fine. I guess that picture isn't significant enough anymore," he mumbled with his bangs covering his eyes, "Looks like that idiot boy really is that important to you huh…"

She seemed worried, so she look a small step closer despite getting an ominous feeling, "Oi, are you alri-"

Before she could finish she was interrupted by her brother sprinting towards her and grabbing her with full force, bringing her down to the ground.

Nani…!?

Kagura's eyes widened as she tried to get a closer look at her brother's face. However, it failed because it was still covered by his vermillion colored bangs, "You really are something, you know that?" his smile continued to grow like a cheshire cat, "Now you're starting to make me really angry…"

She tried to scan his face in order to find any hint on what is becoming of him, "Onii-chan…?" she asked, "What are you saying…?"

Now his teeth were showing as his grip on her wrist grew tighter, "Nothing, nothing at all," he ominously said, "I'm just saying that you're growing up really quick and that I'm so proud of you…! Suddenly, his eyes shone through, revealing his shaky pupils and his killing intent, "You're really doing well leaving the nest! You don't need anyone anymore but the guy you love right?!" He then began to shout and Kagura could feel the spit and hot air leaving his mouth, "WHO CARES ABOUT OUR MOM HUH?" he crazily bellowed, "YOU'RE A BIG GIRL NOW YOU DON'T NEED ANY OF THIS RIGHT?"

She winced a bit, "Arg, you idiot you're hurting me...!" Before she could fight back, the older redhead pinned her down by her shoulders and suppressing her by toppling his weight on top of her's. She continued to struggle, trying to get out of this unfavorable position, "And that's not what I meant! I'm not completely abandoning you and everyone else!"

"Then what do you mean huh?" Kamui pressed as he tightened his grip on Kagura's shoulders, "Please, enlighten me!"

"Ow, get off of me you idiot!" Boiling up in rage and frustration, the glutinous girl retracted her legs and forcefully pushed them onto his stomach, pushing him off as he cried a bit in pain while she scrambled onto her legs towards the row of windows. She then turned around to look at her brother, knowing that facing her back towards him will lead to nothing but misfortune.

The petite girl looked at her brother lying in the ground. He didn't stay down because he was hurt, but just because he wanted to take it in that his little sister just pushed him away with her own brute force. He then slowly got up, as if he was a body resurrecting from the dead. Kagura couldn't see his hidden face, but she suddenly had a premonition that she didn't want to, "Well, well…" he said under his breath, "Don't push away your dear older brother," he looked up and straight into Kagura's blue orbs, and she saw his closed grin. However, his eyes didn't mirror his seemingly happy smile, "If Mom can't stop you from making the wrong decision, then it looks like I'm going to have to beat it into your little head…!"

Seeing his face, the redhead immediately attempted to take a few steps back as her breath and heartbeat quickened. Kagura was taken aback, her thoughts a little disjointed.

Onii-chan…?

Is this the Onii-chan I know?

Her expression grew more horrified as she looked at her brother even more. She saw her brother angry before, but never like this. She imagined the times when he would frown when she left laundry around the room, or the time when she took all the rice for herself, but then the times when he tucked her in bed, or gave her the last sokunbu in a box. Although he was harsh, he would never do anything to truly hurt someone. But now... now his eyes looked hazy and were growing darker and darker, and it was as if he just snapped. Now he just looked crazy. Like an animal yearning to kill its prey for the fun of it.

Instinctively, she started shaking as her brother slowly walked over towards her. Even though she was looking at her brother, it was if she was observing a stranger. But she knew that he was serious on getting her. She knew that this time he is going to hit her. Hard. And that's when also she knew, that the onii-san just 30 seconds ago was not the same onii-san she is seeing now.

She saw her brother raise his right hand and clenched it into a fist as his speed picked up and his smile exponentially grew, ready to plow her down at any moment. She wanted to fight, but she was paralyzed in fear and shock of the new spirit his body embodied. But she had to fight her brother! She can't let him get away with pummeling the Sadist.

She can't...

But at the same time, she can't bare to hurt her brother, even if he was this terrible. He is still her brother, her lovely onii-san that she cared for deeply. So, instead, she tightened her body, baring herself for the impact that will definitely cause at least one of her bones to break, but not her soul. No matter how painful, it is better than breaking the bones of her blood relative.

However, before his fist could make contact to her body, she saw a flash and, suddenly, there was a body standing in front of her.

It was the Sadist.

Her eyes widened when she recognized the hair and the stance and she gasped, realizing why he was standing there before her and also knew that it was too late to stop it. Right then and there, time began to slow down as the horror flashed before her eyes. It was as if she couldn't hear any sound but her brother's fist making contact with the boy's body which immediately went flying to the other side.

No…

The girl, mouth completely open horridly followed the body with her eyes as it broke through window, causing the shards to violently scatter in all directions. Kagura just sat there, dumbfounded, for a moment in the dead silence except for the rain as her eyes and mouth drooped and her stomach began to churn. Suddenly, time went back to its normal pace as she heard the glass shriek from its shatter and the devastating thud on the ground at bottom of school ground. Her expression was completely still as she blankly stared at the broken window.

Shaaa...

..

.

Her face deteriorated as tears dribbled down her cheeks.

"SADIIIST!"

...

And the rain was falling hard that day.
