Chapter 3

I drink my nightly vodka in the living room when I think about that night. The night she changed everything.

I keep rewinding it in my head like a play-by-play, trying to piece together something. Anything that can tell me something I didn't know before. Like how by rewind number three I noticed that she had multiple rings on her fingers, silver bands. Or how she had a small beauty mole on the side of her right eyebrow. I wanted to know more than that. So much that I dreamed about that night, about her, every night after that. Her deep light eyes are the last thing I see every time I close my eyes. Every time I felt the whisper of a breeze or the slightest sound I thought it was her.

I've looked for every night since that night a month ago. I thought she would have come back to the hospital but she didn't. In fact there is no record of an Isabella Marie Swan at Forks Community Hospital. She left no traces of her, like she never existed. As if she didn't want to exist.

I feel like I've lost my mind, looking for someone who I had just met and then what? Ask for her number? I shake the thoughts from my mind, looking out into the unnaturally stormy night. Just then a crack of thunder booms, really close to my house. I stand and walk to one of the long windows and gaze around at the surrounding trees. I have this feeling that something is changing, I can just feel it in the air. I've felt it ever since that night, too.

I finish my rewinding of that night as the burning liquid coats my throat, like the burning fire in the fireplace in front of me. It's at the part where I swear she was there, as clear as day, riding me into oblivion. Her soft supple breasts bouncing in rhythm as her pink pebbled nipples brush along my lips. Her face is heaven, her plump lips parted as puffs of warm breath hit mine. My hands grip her tiny soft curves as she moans so sweetly her appreciation of my dick inside her. Her long hair tickles my shoulders as she continues give me a roller coaster ride of pleasure, suddenly throwing her head back in such a wicked way that she might break her back, moaning and panting so loudly that it sounds like the most beautiful song to me. Her hair moves back, showing her glorious long neck and ah.. she has a hint of a tattoo on her shoulder that continues on her back. She continues her song of ecstasy as I start to ride my own roller coaster ride of pleasure. Not that much fucking imagination in the world could make me conjure up something like that.

I know I'm not crazy. I know what I saw, what I felt. Because I have never felt anything like that in my life.

I swirl my glass thinking about the drive home. I felt so dazed and confused as shit. I woke up, still lying on the exam table. All my clothes were on and she was gone. The only thing that was there was the lingering smell of her sweet nectar.

I finish off my drink as another crackle of thunder booms along with a flash of thunder in the sky. I briefly see something in the distance. I was thinking that I might have had too much to drink but I only had that one glass. My eyes don't usually deceive me but I've been putting them to question quite lately. I look closer as I hear the tell sound of another thunder, hoping another flash of lightning comes with it. It does and I clearly see that it's not a something lying there, it's a someone.

I contemplate if I should go outside and see who this person is but it seems like one of those scenes in horror movies and I had a feeling that this mystery person lying at the end of my driveway would disappear as soon as I get outside. I sigh as I grab my keys and lock up my house. The rain starts pouring down when I come outside and I don't really care right now because there's no use in getting a coat now. I walk the long walk down the path where the form is still lying there. As I get closer I can see that it's a woman. I put a little pep in my step and call out to her over the rain.

"Excuse me, ma'am. Are you alright?" She still lays there.

"Do you need help? Are you hurt?" I try again and get nothing in return.

Now I'm fucking scared because I think she might be dead. I crouch down and touch her and she feels cold. I quickly check her for a pulse and I easily find one, a quick pulse at that. She's lying on her stomach, her now soaked hair sticking to her face. I carefully turn her over some, cradling her head as I reach up to move her hair from her face. My mouth drops open at the familiar heart-shaped face and soft skin.

"Isabella?" My voice is barely audible, yet somehow she opens her eyes. Her eyes are dark and as her eyes focus on me, her eyes lighten in recognition.

"Edward.." she mumbles. I nod and she grabs onto my shirt as if she's trying to tell me something, I can see it in her eyes and I lean into her trying to see what she says. Her lips tremble as she stares at me, desperately telling me something with her eyes, then her whole body as she starts to cry. I automatically wrap my arms around her, holding her to me as tight as I can. It felt so natural like I've done this a million times even though I know for sure that I have not. I rock her a bit, her sobs racking her body as I shush her and tell her she'll be ok. I don't know what happened to her but as long as I have anything to do with it, she will be ok. She's calm down a bit and take this time to pick her up in my arms and head to the house. She's so light and small in my arms but not like a child. The curves on her body tell me she's nothing like a child.

I get inside an immediately close the door, thankful for the fire I have going in the living room. As I quickly get my doctor kit, carrying her around, she's babbling incoherently and I'm afraid something is wrong with her. I get my kit and big thick blanket, spreading it out on my bed. I lay her on the blanket and get my tools out. Her head keeps lolling around and she keeps mumbling words I don't understand. I go to her and cup her face to look at her eyes. There are still dark. I check her head to see if she may have it or something. She doesn't have any bruises or bumps from where I can see. She goes a little quiet after a while and I look to find her asleep. I don't want her getting sick so I decide to get her out of her clothes. I reach down to get her shoes off and I notice that she's barefoot. I frown and look at the bottom of her dainty feet and they're as clean as if she had worn shoes. I notice a small toe ring on one of her toes and smile a little. I look up and see that she's still sleeping so I take her soaked dress off and am a little baffled to see that that's all she had on. I shake my head a bit as I quickly wrap her up in the thick blanket, tucking it around her before carrying her back down stairs. I carefully lay her down on the couch in front of the fireplace to warm her up.

I lean down and run my knuckles along her soft cheek. As I get up to leave, she stops me with her voice. I look at her pleading eyes as she's buried in the blanket. "Stay with me." she whispers. And I nod, swinging my leg over her body to lay between her and the couch. I wrap my arms around her covered body, pulling her to me and she relaxes into my chest as he breathing evens out. As my lids get heavy she turns around in my arms, facing me and stares at me with light brown eyes. Again, like every night since that night I feel asleep with the thought of her eyes but this time I wasn't letting her go.
