Konoha was in turmoil, the notice of the death of Uchiha Sasuke had spread like wildfire. The ones that were hit the hardest were his two teammates, Naruto and Sakura. They were asking themselves why Sasuke had such a cruel destiny. "He deserved" the others said, but it couldn't be right? He was their friend, who needed to be rescued, correct? But now they would never have the chance to prove this as he was dead. Sakura blamed Hinata for his fate, if she wasn't alive then he would be breathing and well. She had decided, in the next time she saw the bitch, she was going to kill her to avenge the one she loved. "That whore must die! Sasuke-kun would still be alive if she didn't exist!"
Kurama got overprotective of his mate, as he quickly got away from where they had faced the damned Uchiha, going further south until he had found an inn for travelers. He disliked the idea of exposing Hinata when she was at her weakest state, but he had no other option. To not attract unwanted questions directed at her demonic features he had cloaked her in his illusion. He left enough cash to last for a few weeks or until she recovered. Right now he was in the room, holding Hinata close to his chest while brushing her silken hair that kept falling over her eyes. 'Please, wake up...' She had a fever that had lasted three days, caused by the excess poison and stress. In this meantime he had cared for her, only leaving her side to get some food, but just for a few minutes. He glared at anyone that looked at him in the wrong way, unknowingly creating a rumor that he had kidnapped the young woman, escalating for more scandalous theories that were bred by the fertile mind of humans. In the fifth day she had woken up, still a bit weak, just to fall asleep moments later.
Naruto felt worse than shit, the bastard fox had killed the one he considered like a brother, and he couldn't understand why he did such a thing. But he got his answer when he confessed what he was thinking to his parents. Kushina had scolded him for supporting the one that tried to kill him so many times, also telling him that in due time he would understand. Minato told him that what Kurama had done for Hinata was the same that he would do for Kushina if she ever were in the same situation as hers, he told him that it wasn't just a matter of revenge or spite, this act was to protect the one he loved, as there wasn't any other option for the corrupted Uchiha.
Hitomi had made a decision, she would divorce her beloved husband (note the sarcasm -_-) and live somewhere else with her daughter. 'This damned village isn't to be trusted.' She thought back to when Kurama had come to the village to deliver the severed head. 'Hm, if he went this far for my daughter then I don't doubt that she's in good hands. Or should I say paws?' She giggled at her little joke. Hiashi had thrown a bitchy tantrum like a spoiled kid when she had asked for the separation. It had struck several nerves in her as she whipped him straight. 'Sometimes I think that he's a masochist.' This thought sent a cold shiver down her spine. She shook her head and got lost in thoughts, wandering aimlessly.
In her mindscape Hinata was standing in front of a fidgeting Hikari, that was in her human form. 'So... You told my mother everything...?' The wolf was sweating a waterfall. "Well, you see... Hehe..." Her bangs were hiding her eyes. 'I had told you to only tell Hanabi that I was alright.' She scratched the back of her head. "You know, your mother can be a beast if she wants..." She still couldn't understand what happened. 'But how is she alive? I saw her dying in front of me...' The demoness blurted. "It was Kami." Hinata still wasn't satisfied. 'But you had to tell me first! You knew that I'm very attached to her! I wanted to tell her personally if I had the chance!' She was scared by this side of her host. "Uhh... Sorry?" Hinata had snapped and grabbed her cheeks and pulled them in opposite directions. "Ih feehs lieh mah mouh ish grohin!" She didn't stop as she pulled even harder.
A teenager boy with light brown hair with darker tips on them was utterly bored out of his wits. *Yawn~* He sighed loudly, showing fangs, all while scratching the hair that covered a bit of his jawline that showed that he was a lion demon. "Why do we have to bother hearing the rumors that the humans create sensei?" His teacher, Tsukaite Hyō was a black panther demon that seemed to be on his thirties and still hadn't married. "Sometimes a mere whisper can give us a very useful information." The boy waved his furry tail and hands to complain. "But it's so boooorrriiinnngggg~!" A fist connected with the top of his head. *bash* A girl on her sixteens had enough of his whining, her dog ears and tail twitching in annoyance. "Respect your elders! Why don't you learn Whiskers?!" The small lion lashed at her. "I DON'T HAVE WHISKERS!" She brushed off his shouts. "Oh yeah, they're sidewhiskers." He crushed the tree trunk he was holding on. "THEY'RE SIDEBURNS!" She sneered at him in a mocking way. "Feh, it doesn't matter to me, and you're just a cub." He had reached his limit of insults. "GRRRRAAAAAHHHH!" The two youngsters engaged in a fight, so focused in struggling to make the other give out that they didn't notice that they had kicked a stone that hit their master on his forehead. The older feline felt a vein about to burst inside his brain as his eyes got a sinister glint. "Itazura Sukina! Yaban Shishihige!" After he had screamed both were bowing in front of him, one lowering the head of the other as much as they could while trading silent death threats (search the way of bowing 'Dogeza'). "Hai sensei..." The dog demoness had a fleeting thought. 'He totally needs to get laid.' Her master glared at her with the corner of his eye as if he had read her thoughts. 'CREEPY!' He had a nasty temper once you managed to piss him off. "We are going to Konoha." As he turned around his two velvety tails whipped them on their faces. 'Uptight asshole!'
Hyō was pondering over the rumors. 'Hmm, there is the rumor about the Kyuubi and Juubi, but I don't know if I should pay attention to them.' He and his two pupils were sent to search for possible demons or half-demons and try to convince them to go to their lands in the south. 'Feh, the Shiten'nō want to comb the entire Elemental Countries for the Bijuu.' He let out a weary breath, as they had reached Konoha without a hitch and let his students wander. It was calm, it is, until he bumped on a certain woman.
Shishihige was pouncing around mindlessly, letting himself to get distracted by the different smells while he stretched his limbs in his demon shape, that was a young lion with the start of the majestic mane that every male adult of his kind got, the basic difference being that he had tribal markings over his shoulders and back. He relaxed until he felt a foreign scent. It was so delicious! He couldn't describe it so he looked around to find the source. 'Mmm! I've never smelled something this good!' Then his gaze feel over a human girl. 'Eh?! Is she the one that smells this good?' He carefully got closer, in a slow pace to not scare her. Actually she even approached him and was with a hand stretched out to touch his muzzle. He almost jumped out from his skin as he felt an electric tingle coming from where she had touched him. "You're a bit strange for a lion, did you know that? But I like you!" He blushed a dark red, thankfully she couldn't see it as he was covered in fur. 'Is this what father had told to me? It's surely nice...' When she began running her hands over his head and scratching his ear he couldn't help but purr in contentment, earning some giggles from her. 'Mmm! She has such a yummy smell and isn't afraid of me~' He rolled over on his back as she proceeded to rub his belly like one would do with a dog. "Nnn... Don't stop..." Both froze as he had spoken out loud. 'Oh crap!'
Sukina jogged in the bustling streets, taking on the goods that were being displayed, stopping to look longer on something that sparked her interest until she felt the enticing aroma of barbecue. 'I'm so hungry man!' She quickly got in as her mouth began watering, idly noting that the place was Akimichi-something, then hounded a table just for herself and ordered several servings of varied meat. 'This is Paradise!' The meat was so finely prepared that the flavor exploded in her mouth, and the grill was in the right temperature, making the meat get tender enough to her liking. 'Tasty~! I just hoped that there was a stand like this in my village..' Her ears perked up and she raised her head to look at the entrance. She saw a group of guys, that unknown to her were the male portion of the Rookies. For some reason, when her eyes settled on one of them she got a bit flustered and felt butterflies going wild in her stomach. 'He's so good-looking- Ehhhh! Wait right there girlie! Don't you dare to go further!'
