Chapter 4: The Belt's Purpose
Today I have decided to do something different with Geo and if you like it, please tell me what you liked in a review, if you didn't then please don't flame and I don't own Code Lyoko
[Mysterious P.O.V.]
A person in a black cloak stepped into a room with black flames across the walls. The person walked forward before kneeling in front of a floating throne.
"Sir, the boy has discovered his old belt" a male voice came from the cloak.
"Well then stop him from rediscovering its power"
"He doesn't remember it though, and, the plan to kill him failed"
"How?"
"His father's failsafe plan to protect him from us worked, his mark has revived itself" he smirked under the shadows "but the monster that we put there to keep him from permanently retrieving his powers is still after him"
"Well then, join the beast and finally stop the boy once and for all!"
"Yes sir, I have already captured the monster and began to mutate it with the Z energy, soon, Geo West, will be, no more"
[May's P.O.V.]
I walk out of my room and head towards the lunchroom.
I grab my food before I sit down and start eating.
Soon Geo is here and eating as well.
When I'm done I get up and leave to take a walk.
As soon as I get outside I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around and see a flash of red hair. She turns around and looks at me her light green eyes glaring daggers into mine.
"What's up wench?" She says.
"Can I help you?" I ask her.
"I saw you trying to be with my boyfriend." She says. My heart rate starts to rise. When have I ever? I don't talk to anyone really.
"I have no idea what you're talking about?" I tell her. She chuckles.
"Oh there is no reason to lie sweetheart. I saw you walking with my Geo earlier." She said. I stay confused, then realization crosses my face.
"Oh you think I was! Oh no I'm not trying to steal Geo from you. I didn't realize you two were dating. I'm sorry." I say to her, trying to reassure her that I don't like Geo. But you do. My mind says. I mentally shake the thought out.
"You don't need to be sorry. Just stay away from him." She says sneering at me. I'm about to say something when I hear Monica's voice.
"Actually you don't need to stay away from him either." Monica says. My eyes widen.
"You can't tell her what to do, Allyson. She can do what she wants to do. Just leave her be." She says.
"What are you going to do if I don't?" Allyson says back to her. I look to Monica and she winks to me then smirks evilly.
"You don't want to know what I can do to you, Allyson. It's a waste of my time and a waste for you to think about it. But I'll let you dwell on that thought." Monica smirks. Allyson rolls her eyes.
"So what? Geo still likes me more than he likes her." Allyson says smirking to me. I lower my gaze and I feel a tingling in my brain.
"Oh please. You forget that I'm his sister right? I know more about him and you then you do in his pinkie finger." Monica says.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Allyson says.
"It means that you should probably leave Allyson. Class is going to start soon and I don't think you would want to be late after all the tardies you've received." I say to her. She glares at me and stomps off fuming.
Monica chuckles.
"Nice one, May." She says to me. I look to her and smile lightly.
"Th-thanks." I stutter.
"No need to be shy. Trust me we're closer than you think." She says with a reserved look.
"Wh-what do y-you m-mean?" I ask her confused.
"Nothing. Don't worry about it. And I came over to help you because I never liked Allyson." She says smiling to me.
"What are you saying?" I ask her curious.
"I'm saying that I know you like Geo. And a little birdie knows that he likes you too. He doesn't like Allyson but you didn't hear it from me." She winks to me and points to her head.
"I'm confused. Geo likes me? Why?" I ask her.
"You've seen Allyson right? She's a witch. I really have not ever liked her." She says. She looks up as if remembering something.
"I should get to class, you too. I gotta meet up with someone. Have fun in class May." She says running off and smiling. She waves to me and I wave back with a smile.
I walk to the class and sit down near the back when I notice Allyson walk in with a slight smile with a seemingly happy Geo. I notice the act but I have to dismiss it as Allyson looks at me.
I see Keith walk in with a smile as he looks at me and walks over confidently.
No no no, I say in my mind before he gets here and is about to sit down before someone else was already there.
"Hey, do you mind getting out of my personal space" a boy says in the seat Keith was trying to sit in.
"Hey, who are you? That's my seat" Keith tells the boy.
"No, I was here first, ever heard of finders' keepers?"
"Yes, but this is different I saw it first"
"If you're referring to her, she's a human being, you can't talk like that" I feel my face getting red as he points to me.
"Besides I was here first"
"Geez grow up wouldja?"
"I'm 14, I don't have to yet"
"D-do y-you g-g-guys mind, I'm t-trying to co-concentrate here" I stutter.
"Well class hasn't started yet" Keith said.
"It's about to, right about…" the bell rings "…now"
Keith scowls and walks away and takes a seat somewhere else before the boy turns to me.
"Th-Thank you" I tell him.
"No problem" he raised his hand out to shake "name's Max!"
I carefully grasp it and shake it "m-my name i-is May"
"The irony of that" Max gives her a grin.
She turns to Geo who is preoccupied by the girl sitting next to him.
I honestly don't know what he sees in her. I feel a slight tingle before I see a small bluish light fade away and I hear Allyson gasp a little in what I hope is pain.
I freeze before I stare at the back of my hand.
What, just happened?
[Monica's P.O.V.]
I feel bad for lying to May about seeing someone but I didn't want her following me. I was on the way to the music room and I didn't want anyone to hear me. I make sure that no one is in there and no one is around here so they can somehow hear me. I go to the grand piano because I'm feeling upset and its one of the only ways to make me feel better. I close my eyes before I start to play. So much comes to mind. Why does Jack seem like he's into me when he's with Sissi. Could Yumi's observation be true? Does Jack like me? But then what about Sissi? But didn't I just see her kiss Geo? And I know Geo hated that. He was so shocked. Should I tell Jack? Would he hate me? Gosh I hope not because I love him.
I try to clear my head of all this. My fingers find the right keys and I start to sing.

I finish the song and get up from the piano and suddenly hear clapping from behind me. I spin around and see Jack standing there.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I was outside when I heard a beautiful voice. I came to check it out." He said smiling but something is wrong. The smile isn't reaching his eyes.
"I would've thought you heard my voice before?" I say, curiously.
"Okay maybe I have. I just like to hear your voice." He says blushing. I blush and smile.
"Thanks." I say.
"Glad to help." He says. He takes a breath like he wants to say something but covers it up by looking at me. Too bad I caught it. I just know him that well.
"What's up?" I say concerned.
"Oh, it's nothing." He says but his eyes tell me something different.
"There is no need to lie to me Jack. I'll find out what it is anyways." I say smiling. He smiles back.
"I just witnessed something that I wish I hadn't." He says. I get more confused. I search his mind and his memories and see the last one was him witnessing Sissi kiss Geo. My eyes widen.
"Would you like to talk about it?" I say. He shakes his head but smiles to me.
"Thanks, Monica. But I just wanted to come here and listen to you." He says. He comes up to me and I hug him. I melt into his touch and wish I could do this all the time. Maybe soon. I smile into his shoulder and pull away.
"I'm always here if you need me to be." I say. My hand itching to touch his face.
He smiles and nods to me and waves before walking out the door. I sigh and turn back to the piano before playing four notes and standing up. I walk outside and feel something is wrong. I hear something inside the cabin and start walking towards it. When I get there I try to see whats in it but something is blocking my mind from searching. I hear footsteps behind me and see Geo.
[Third Person P.O.V.]
Geo walks out of the classroom before he coughs slightly. He coughs more before he realizes he can't breathe, there was too much dust and dirt in the air.
"A-Are you alright?" he hears.
He turns to see May walking out with a boy behind her.
"Yeah" he coughs. He takes out his inhaler, puts it to his mouth, and then takes a deep breath. He exhales.
"Who's this?" He asks.
"T-this is Max" she tells him "and Max, this is Geo".
They shake hands.
"Nice to meetcha Geo!" "Likewise"
"Where are you guys headed next?"
He asks.
"I-I'm headed to M-Music n-next" May told him.
"English"
"I'm headed to English next as well"
"Seeya there!" Max said before running off.
May stood next to Geo.
"He's a weird one" Geo said.
"Better him than Keith" May sighed before she walked in another direction.
He looks in her direction before he sighs and walks in Max's direction.
-At Science-
Max waves Geo over when he walks in.
"Hey old pal!"
"I've only known you for today"
"Remember, we got transferred to the same school, I just didn't want to confuse the girl"
"How do I respond to that?"
"You never could actually"
"What about Keith?"
"He was always the mean one actually"
Geo smiles before he notices Allyson walk in.
"What are the odds?" Max asks when he notices her "you two are still dating after all this time"
"It's only been about 5 months"
"So your anniversary is in a month at least?"
"If I don't break up with her first"
"That will probably happen, I bet five bucks it won't last another week" Max said.
"Are you betting money on my relationship?"
"Yes"
"10 bucks when you bet someone else, you'll get more money"
"Are you actually trying to get in on the money?"
"No, I'm just trying to help a friend out"
Then class started. He looked at the back of his hand and saw a slight glint of the X before a light flickered a bit and my belt slightly glowed, but no one noticed.
When class ends Geo walks out and heads to the lunchroom.
Then suddenly his phone rings. He checks it before he runs to the factory.
He gets to the manhole before he runs through the sewers and gets to the factory before he swings down the ropes and uses the elevator and gets to the super computer.
"What's wrong?" he asks Jeremy.
"Why are you here? Must have sent the text to the wrong number. Anyway, there is a mysterious amount of energy coming from around the school"
"Outside of Lyoko?"
"Yeah, I need you to go investigate, but be extremely careful"
He nods before he runs to the area and sees Monica along the way.
"What's going on?" he asks her.
"I don't know, there's something going on inside the shed"
He looks inside to hear crashing before he walks inside and sees the entire place a complete mess. Everything that was on a shelf is now on the ground. He slowly walks towards the noise and looks behind the shelf to see what looks like a Kankrelat except with a human shape and form.
It is tearing everything apart, from metal to paper.
Geo took out his phone and took a picture before the monster notices him. He puts his phone away and runs. He gets outside and takes off when the door breaks behind him and flies near him.
Monica is nowhere to be seen. The monster is chasing after him when he gets to school.
Lasers hit the school and cause rubble to rain down onto the boy. He then runs inside the dorms. He gets to his room before he gets a briefcase and grabs a crystal before he places it into a slot on his old belt buckle and it turns black and white before he hears "insert materialization code" he smiles before he walks out of the room to see the monster. He draws the X and suddenly he's in his old suit. (Explanation: Geo kept his old buckle for emergencies after he managed to reprogram it to work again)
He draws his lance and gun before he charges the beast.
He kicks, but it blocks and strikes him across the stomach. He then tries to stab with his lance but it grabs the blade and twists the lance away from him. Geo twists with the blade and suddenly he falls over when he gets stomped on by the monster. He twists out of the way and gets up before he gets slashed across the chest by his own lance. He then gets up and tries to punch the monster with his gauntlet but he ends up with his fist caught in the monsters fist before he gets his arm between his shoulder blades and sent towards his bedroom wall
He falls through the wall before he stands up and tries to shoot the monster but its own laser cuts through the gun shot and he ends up crashing through the window and lands on the ground and his suit devirtualizes.
[Geo's P.O.V.]
I feel pain when I crash through the window, but I feel my ribs shatter when my suit devirtualizes and I succumb to the pain. I try getting up but I only manage to get a foot up and onto my knees.
I hear a crash when I look up and see the Kankrelat-monster land and break the ground under it. I stumble away, trying to run, but the laser hits my back and now I'm hitting the lunchroom and falling back to the ground. There go the rest of my ribs.
I carefully look to see the Kankrelat getting closer.
The buckle glows again so I draw another X and the energy crackles and attaches and I'm in my suit again as the pain goes away before I feel sparks and I hit the wall again after the suit literally explodes and the X detaches and vanishes.
"*Pant* what *pant* do you *pant* want from me *pant*" I breath.
"Are you Geo West?" A raspy voice answers.
"So what *pant* if I am?"
"Then my mission is almost complete" it rushes at me before a sudden spark hits it and it stops.
May is standing there holding the gun with both hands in front of Max and Monica.
Monica has her bow and arrow out, prepared to shoot.
The Kankrelat tips its head before it shoots them and rushes.
While they're distracted, it knocks the gun out of May's hand and breaks the arrow in half before tossing both weapons aside and kicking them all back.
I get my phone and contact Jeremy.
"What's going on?" I whisper.
"Geo, Oh God, are you OK? We're trying our best to figure out what's going on, there's no active tower, so we have no idea why that monster is there!"
I look back up to see Monica and Max on the ground and May being held up, choked by the monster.
"W-Wa-Wai-W-WAIT" I shout as they all look at me.
"Hm?"
"It's me you're after, right? Leave them alone, they have nothing to do with this" I say.
The Kankrelat looks at the girl before looking at me and he dropped her before going towards me slowly.
"GEO, NO!' Monica shouts.
"GEO, BE CAREFUL!" May shouted, as if knowing what was about to happen.
The Kankrelat runs at me and grabs my lance off the ground before it slashes downwards and I bring my hands up to guard myself.
Ultimately, I somehow hit the two cobalt slots on my belt and suddenly, something big happens.
Access, a female voice announces from the belt.
An excessive amount of energy bursts from the belt and hits the monster, sending it flying backwards.
The energy covers me and heals my wounds. I can actually feel my ribs snapping back into place and reconnecting together.
I reach up to my mouth and see the blood is still there.
My arms legs react before I do and my arms go to the ground and push my body upwards and I straighten my legs, getting back up.
My shirt and jacket is still ripped but the large cut is gone.
The belt with the two slots is gone and now has been replaced by the belt from the day of the foreign exchange. I investigate to find a slot and the original buckle on the right side, with the cylinders from Lyoko in a holder on the left. I twist if off instinctively and see the buckle changing to many different colors before placing the buckle in the slot so it slides down and is now horizontal with the tip pointing to the side.
Insert, the voice say before the belt is glowing multiple colors.
I look around the belt as the Kankrelat gets up and May stares in shock before both her and Monica feel pain on the back of their hands and look.
Monica sees an Aquamarine M on the back while May sees the Periwinkle sliver start to grow, creating a line near the top of the hand.
I look at my hand and see the Green X actually through my glove. The gems on my palms are glowing colors through the crystals.
The disc on the belt is glowing so I carefully spin it and something very strange happens
Energize, the female voice announces one last time before a line of energy erupts from the disc and strikes the Kankrelat before returning back to me. The line heads towards my chest before it splits into four and recombines behind me. It floats there before it snaps onto his skin and turns it crystal before it goes out a couple of centimeters and turning into a suit and my head does the same thing before becoming a helmet.
I then realize this is the suit from my vision from the day of the exchange program introductions.
"WHAT?!" I shout in Japanese before I start investigating the armor.
X-Guardian Engaged!, a male voice announced this time
"No way" I hear. I turn to see Jack hiding behind the building and staring at the armor in shock.
"Uh, hi?" I question before I hear rushing footsteps.
I spin around to see the Kankrelat charging.
It tries to strike me with its claw so I step to the side before I kick it in the stomach. I then punch the stomach before I flip forward and use the gravity to perform an axe kick and my heel collides with the Kankrelats forehead. It staggers backwards before I continue to punch and kick the head and stomach.
It aims its arm laser at me and I hit the deck and roll to the side as the laser soars over my head.
I jump upwards and drop-kick the beast before my hands touch the ground and keep my feet off the ground before bending my arms and using them to get back up to both feet.
It tackles me and I stand my ground before I elbow the head and its grip weakens before I kneed the face and shove it away and kick the stomach, sending it away one last time.
I pat the dirt off my hands and return them to my sides when I notice a weight on my belt. I look to see the case for the cylinders from Lyoko and I open it up to see the canister full of them and a lot of empty spaces.
I pick up one in the slot labeled #2 and see the weirdly shaped end.
I look at my belt and see the buckle that I inserted with a little slot at the top.
The cylinder has the same indention. It fits when I put it in and I twist it open and it opens up a mini-keyboard.
My head tilts before I type in a code I saw in the slot and then twist the key in the other way, closing it before I spin the disc.
Key #02 the female voice announces as a green light appears and floats in front of me before I hear a: Sword, Engaged!; from the male voice.
The light changed to a sword that was green and the colors suddenly changed so now it was my sword from Lyoko.
I grab the handle and gravity finally takes hold as it weighs in my hand.
I rush forward and start slashing across the chest. My leg acts before I do and kicks it in the chest before I punch it and then slash across its gut and the blade hits the left side of the face as well.
I twist the key again before inputting a new code and closing it again and spinning the disc.
Key Charge the female voice announced. I grabbed the glowing key before inserting it into the bottom of the handle of my sword.
Sword, the female voice said Sword Strike, the male announced Slash Engaged! Both voices shouted out loud.
The sword charged with energy of multiple colors that exited the handle and re-entered at the blade, creating a circle that looked as if the top had begun to cave in. The energy stopped traveling as the sword glowed and pulsed multiple colors before I got in a stance.
The Kankrelat got up and prepared to charge.
We both ran forward and quickly closed the distance between each other.
The Kankrelat tried to slash downward with a claw before I sidestep just in time to slash across the stomach and the energy cuts clean across the stomach and a bulls-eye appears where I struck and it explodes, causing the energy in the Kankrelat to swiftly exit out where I struck it and then it reattached before it caused the Kankrelat to finally explode, ending the monster.
I stand back up and flip the sword before I catch the sword again and then I pull out the buckle and spin the disc again, causing the X to go back up again and crystallizing the suit and causing it to vanish and the X turned back into four lines and reconnected before it vanished back inside the belt once more.
I look at the rubble where it exploded before I collapse and pass out.
Next thing I know I'm heading to my dorm room. I suddenly stop because I don' know what the heck just happened.
Return to the Past just surprised the crap out of me. I blink before I hear footsteps.
I turn around to see a Sissi walking up.
"Uh, hi?" I say.
"Hello Geo" she said.
"May I help you?"
"Oh don't speak of that tramp"
I start backing up as she gets closer.
I hit a wall. Well I can't get lucky all the time.
"You realize she's one of my friends, right?"
"Funny, because I was hoping we could be more than friends"
I know Monica's going to hate me for this. "…aren't you dating Jack?"
She gets even closer.
"He's not here is he?"
"What about my relationship with Allyson?"
"She isn't here either, plus, we all know how you truly feel about her"
"Please leave me alone"
"But, why? Don't you want me to do this?"
She kisses me on the lips and I can do nothing but stand there is shock.
… What? I can't hurt a girl or use my powers against her, it goes against my principles.
I push her off and run down the stairs before I run into the forest. I get to the manhole, open and close the cover and climb down before I hide as I hear her run by, calling my name. I collapse on the ground, panting a lot before I take out my inhaler and take a couple of breaths from it.
What am I going to do, unless I can get evidence, I can't do anything.
Her father could suspend just because I, in Sissi's words, put the moves on his daughter, when it was her fault!
Then it hits me. I take out my phone before I set it to record and place it on the ground.
I really hope this works. The X reappears and I think about what just happened and a current of green energy surges out of my hand and into the recording. It stops and I stop the recording.
I play what I sent into the phone.
A wide grin breaks out onto my face as I have the evidence.
I just hope I don't get suspended or worse because of the lies and rumors Sissi is about to spread around.
A/N This time around I've decided to create an OC Description for Max.
OC Description:
Max:
Max Xavier-Leon acts carefree and always looks for the bright side of things, but yet, he hides a dark past and hides the truth from his friends. He is 5' 2" and one of Geo's oldest friends but he hasn't seen him in years since he moved away and left Geo on his own (on accident). Personally, he sees May as a younger/twin sister due to how they look alike and how their names are similar. He will not get serious, but when he does, he will go to extremes to "fix" the problem.
