The three gods came back to the village with some private news. "Are all the clan leaders reunited here?" There was a collective chorus, both male and female. "Aye sir!" Byakko waited until the commotion ceased. "Well, my friends said that a group of humans are trying to thwarth the balance of the world. So we want your aid to stop them if it comes to that." Everybody knew that they wouldn't ask for help if they could avoid it. "We are ready anytime." Suzaku smiled. "The first signal will come from the Bijuu couple, this matter is linked to them." This meeting happened two months before the war.

I'm not with patience to replay all the shit that Kishimoto did in the manga, so I'll skip to when Madara was facing Naruto and had just summoned that big ass statue. DETAIL: no overpower revived Hokage.

"You can have lost the Kyuubi, but I'm sure that there is some residual chakra inside you." With this the Uchiha bound Naruto up and ripped open the seal on his stomach, smirking when he saw a few red wisps leaking out. "Even a timy sliver will be enough to revive the Shinju, then I'll capture the remaining beasts and the fake Juubi!"

Amaterasu glared at Kami. "Didn't you say that you had extracted the remains inside the boy..." She sweated under the killing intent. "Guilty." She never saw the fist coming.

The statue roared, bringing fear to all the ninja on the battlefield. The pressure was unbearable for them and all hope seemed to be lost. At another place Hinata felt as if something foul was trying to invade her mind, she gripped her head and struggled to smother the raw anger she felt bubbling, but Hikari wasn't with her to help anymore, she had just faded away from her mind some time ago only with a goodbye. Kurama wasn't faring much better, he felt the dirty chakra of the one who had once controlled him, only the mere knowledge that the madman was alive made his blood boil with rage. The sheer amount of fury made Hinata fear for her sanity. The fox saw her suffering and held her shoulders. "Don't let the rage erase you, I made this mistake once and almost lost all my chances." She looked on his eyes. "You can fight this, I know this."

The four gods saw this and the leaders of the species who witnessed the breakdown warned their fellow warriors, although nobody confessed, the carnivore portion of the population had been itching to take part in a war. The fiercest and fastest dragons were saddled. Anyone could see the fire burning in their eyes, one that could be only quenched with blood. Byakko approached the couple. "You can choose not to go, we can deal with this alone." Kurama glared at him. "I have unfinished matters with that cursed Uchiha." Hinata had stopped trembling and got up. "I have to prove to myself that I can overcome this." The tiger just nodded in understanding. Both Yozora and Yūshi landed by their riders, carrying reins. "Let's depart!"

The Shinobi Alliance and Madara's force stopped fighting when they saw a great shadow over them. Everybody looked up but couldn't figure what was the strange cloud, it looked like a regular group of migrating birds. The Hyuugas used their bloodline, some didn't have the needed range to see, but the ones who had got the greatest surprise of their lives. Creatures thought to be imaginary composed the cloud, dragons of many forms and with deadly sharp fangs, and worse: the riders were a strange breed between several kinds of carnivores with humans, ranging from lions to snakes and eagles. A horn sounded from up above and the newcomers jumped from their mounts, it seemed like that height didn't matter for them. The shinobi were astounded by ther assortment of weapons, instead of using the standard ninja weapons they had maces, lances, longswords and even bows, that were wielded by the birdmen.

Two dragons landed close to the focus of the battlefield, Madara and the Juubi. "Uchiha..." Kurama had a scowl of pure rage while the man just smirked. "Hey Kyuubi, it has been a long time since our last meeting." Kurama and Yūshi growled at the same time. "Don't taunt me bastard, I'd rather kill myself before getting controlled by you again." The dark haired man chuckled. "Resist as much as you want, but eventually I will get control over you and attain the Infinite Tsukiyomi." The redhead replied by slashing at his face, only to be blocked by the fan, but he just smirked and confused Madara until he felt two sets of claws bury themselves on his back. "This is dirty!" Kurama didn't reply, all his energy was focused on releasing his pent up anger on the Uchiha for all the decades suffering for the crimes of another.

Hinata stared up at the Juubi, it wasn't a thing with soul, only an empty puppet. Even if she didn't want to, she had to fight it, it was her responsibility. She closed her eyes and felt herself change and grow in size. In instants she was at the same size as the creature. An abomination against a beast, Hinata glared at the Juubi with hate, making it feel something that it shouldn't, fear for it's life. It fired several Bijuudama in an effort to injure the foe, but she absorbed the attacks, as it had basically the same chakra as hers. She already knew that chakra wouldn't work, so it had to be a fight for dominance. Hinata had the upper hand with claws and fangs, and the Juubi needed orders but Madara was busy with Kurama.

Some of the youkai jumped down to fight, but some, not wanting to involve strangers and possibly angering the human nations, they only engaged on wars when they wanted, thank you. They merely tied them up so there wouldn't be a riot and nobody had to end up as a bloody splatter on the ground that was fucking fifty feet under or so. Hyō saw some dudes who looked like Hitomi and her daughters, at least the eyes did. "Who of you was the husband of Hyuuga Hitomi?" The Hyuuga saw the claws and twin swords strapped on his back, and technically all the bullshit about hierarchy had been tossed to hell just for the war, so they naturally wanted to save their skins and pushed the poor bastard to the front. To save whatever dignity that was left, Hiashi unfortunately chose to be a dick and sneered at the panther, who was an entire foot taller than him. "And if I am? What would no-names like you want with me?" A vein popped up on Hyō's temple. 'Those two were right, he's a real bastard.' He cracked his knuckles, catching the attention of Kyouka. "What the flipping heck you're doing?!" She did a pinning move on him, putting his arm on a lock, but the impact brought a roar of complaint from the dragon. "Tch." The lioness twisted his arm a bit to the wrong angle. "Don't 'tch' me, I want an answer." Then she saw his glare towards Hiashi. "I understand how you feel, but you can't kill any humans." Hyō grumbled in silent rage.

When Kurama jumped away, Madara tried to scorch him with a Katon jutsu, but Yūshi deflected it with a strong flap of its wings. The dragon put itself on Kurama's path, letting him grab his tail. "Now!" The man was thrown towards the Uchiha, catching him with guard down and did a downwards slash, severing off his arm. He watched with pleasure as the blood spurted from the stub. "Gaah! You were supposed to be only a chakra construct!" The dark haired man seemed to be having a seizure. "Your only purpose is to revive the Juubi and serve the Uchiha clan! Why do you oppose it?!" More blood oozed from his mouth had stabbed him on his back with his horn. "That thing isn't just for show." Then Kurama got a sinister smirk, his hair and body changed gradually. "The ones who only see their own egos wouldn't understand." The dragon pinned Madara to the ground and bit off the remaining limbs. "I was supposed to bring peace to the world!" He was kicked around until he was on his back, with a katana poised over his head. "Go find peace in the Shinigami's stomach." With this Kurama drove the blade into his brain, then burned his body.

The Juubi was in bad shape, its body was covered by nasty cuts, but didn't bleed. It was like a clay statue. The stolen chakra of the other Bijuu, including the Hachibi was leaking through the cuts. Hinata had left a particularly large gash on its chest area, that was crumbling slightly. The large whitish being was spawning smaller versions of itself to attack the army, but they were slaughtered or shot down as soon as they appeared. The darker of the two giants took the iniciative, biting it on the neck and grabbing the edges of the chest wound. She used every ounce of strenght to rip the head off the body and split the torso of the white Juubi with her bare hands. All the chakra stored inside the downed Juubi flew away at once, a red wisp went towards Kurama while the others condensed in eigth bodies. The body of the Juubi turned into dust and was absorbed by Hinata, as it was the original body of the ten-tailed being, turning a part of her fur in a mix of silver and white. The army of Edo Tensei bodies was unable to reform thanks to the gods, who formed a barrier around the battlefield, forcing the revived souls to go back to where they belonged.

Hinata fell forward, both her and the other Juubi were constantly draining each other's chakra during the fight and she exerted physical effort while trying to not hurt anyone close by accident. She shrunk back to a human, and before anyone could react, Kurama had rushed towards her and picked her up on his arms, shooting an evil glare at the ones behind him, a silent warning that could spell death. He leaped on the air, right when Yūshi did a low flight, followed closely by Yozora. The shock faded slowly from the human army, that began cheering, but the youkai were already departing, going back to their families. This war would be enough to stall their lust for bloodshed, even if for a short time. Only four of them remained behind. One more thing that they didn't notice was that the youkai had taken all the Bijuu.

All the five Kages surrounded the group, ready to attack if necessary. "My, my. The humans fell really low to think that they could threathen gods." Suzaku let out a blast of his power, that made all the ones who were within a two thousand meters radius feel as if they had just been engulfed by a desert for one minute. They fell to their knees, gasping as their throats were suddenly without air and dried. Genbu curled his tail around the one who seemed to be the toughest bone of the bunch. "We only want to give you a warning." The four let out a glimpse of their true power, effectively flooring the Kages. "If we notice that you humans are getting too ganancious, we won't hesitate in plucking the mankind out as a foul weed." Then, in the next second they were nowhere in sight.
