Chapter 7: The Vehicles and Old Friends
In this chapter we're going to see the reintroduction of the vehicles and a rushed/early on introduction of an ally that Geo and Monica knew from part 1
[Geo's P.O.V.]
I crept out of my room as not to disturb a sleeping Jeremy before I headed outside. It's nice and warm and I step into the lunchroom and sit down at my regular table before I grab some food and take out my laptop. I enjoy my bagel while I'm typing in code for an upgraded version of the FireFlyer. We're back in time and I made some flaws in the design the first time so, why not.
I finish my bagel and pat my hands before I finish typing in code for my vehicles and May's vehicle. Just before I close my laptop I see an alert.
I open it back up and see a large amount of energy in Lyoko. It's located in the Desert Sector and there's a mysterious image of a large swirl in the skies as well but the energy isn't from the vortex.
I gulp, knowing that it's around that time. Next thing I know, May is sitting next to me.
"W-what are you looking at?" she asks.
I stare at her. "We need to work on that stutter" now I can feel her eyes glaring into me while my attention is on my laptop screen.
"Well then" she says before she goes back to her bagel.
"Butter or jelly?"
"Both, plus cinnamon"
I pause and look at the bagel. "Why does that sound like a good thing to eat now?"
"Too late, you already ate"
My face gained a sour look before I went back to typing. She giggles before she tries to peek at the screen, which I quickly turn away.
"Surprise?" She asked.
"Don't you know it" I reply. She leans back in her seat. "Unfortunately I'm not so sure I like surprises after all" she replies.
I feel a grin break out on my face before I turn it back. She smiles and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you" she says as I feel my face heat up. "So what is it?" she questions.
"I don't know" I reply. I turn to her and see she has that grin on her face.
"What?"
"We're going to go check it out" she says, hopefully. "Why?"
"We need to find out what it is, don't we?"
"Well yeah, but I don't think Jeremy will exactly be happy with me sneaking off to Lyoko again"
"And you care about what he thinks because..."
"Point taken" I say before I close my laptop and I stand up. But our trip is interrupted before it even started.
"Ah Geo, I need to ask you something" Jim said, walking up with two boys, who looked extremely familiar.
Wait, they can't be here yet, we're not far enough in time to when they arrive.
"Okay, I need you two to help these two boys become properly introduced to Kadic by showing them the school" Jim said.
"Okay, but why us?" I ask.
"Because you two know the school well enough"
"Why not someone who's been around longer?" May asks, her stutter starting to return.
"You two were the only ones who were available"
"So we're your LAST choice?" I jokingly say.
"What, no that's not what I meant"
"I know, I'm just messing with you" I say before I start walking outside.
"Hey, wait up!" May calls out as she jogs after me.
I turn back around at the door. "You guys coming or what?" I ask the two boys. They nod before they run out the door ahead of me.
I walk down the steps before meeting the others down there.
"Alright, first things first, names. My name is Geo West and this is May Isabellis"
"What if I wanted to say my name" May said.
"Well then it's my bad" I reply, still looking at the boys while she pouts. Pretty cute if you ask me.
"My name is Michael and this is my brother Toby" Michael said. Oh boy, they are here early, time to mess with the timeline a bit.
We show them around the school and soon enough, we have to get to class. Unsurprisingly, both have the same class as us.
We sit down and they have to introduce themselves before they sit down near us.
But before Mrs. Hertz starts she says something unexpected.
"Alright, class, due to the amount of money we received during the school dance and recent fundraisers, the faculty has decided to let 20 students in this school go to an island to investigate the use of fossil excavation there"
"Why do we have to go to some boring island?" Max asked.
"Well Mr. Xavier-Leon, if you must know, this is not just some "boring island"
"Explain just how that's possible" Max retorted.
"Okay, so I guess that none of you consider "Vivosaur Island" an exciting island now do you?" that sent the class into an uproar. Well could you blame them? Vivosaur Island is an extremely famous island where people can resurrect Dinosaurs and have them battle against each other. Personally, I want to investigate the claims of an urban legend "Power Ranger" team there (*hint hint*).
"There will be a raffle to decide who goes, but to be allowed in the raffle, you must have at least a C in every one of your classes and have helped the school raise the money somehow, an example would be participation in the tournament in the recent Karaoke Dance"
Alright, so far May and I are already in.
"And, there will be many events to help boost your chances to be in the raffle, but we already have a list of names so far of who have already entered" she pulled out a list from on top of her desk "so far, we have:
"Geo West and May Bellis-" why were we at the top of the list?
"Jack Song and Monica West-" no surprise there.
"Max Xavier-Leon and Aelita Stone" I didn't even know Max had a grade above a D, he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed if you know what I mean.
Then she said some other names who I didn't know and I went back to staring at the gems in my gloves.
Class passed by quickly and we all headed out into the courtyard before we headed to our next class. I say goodbye to May and walk into my next class and sit down next to Max.
The entire class period, he was excited and would not stop talking about the trip. Thankfully, we had nothing to do but discuss our science projects.
As soon as school was over, I met up with May and Max and we headed to the factory. When we got there, there was no one besides us.
"Hey guys." I hear Monica behind us. We all scream as we turn around. She's smirking with Jack next to her holding in laughter.
"What are you trying to give us heart attacks?" Max asks incredulous. She rolls her eyes.
"Of course not. Just wondering what you guys were up to." Jack says smiling.
"How did you sneak up on us?" May asks.
"Well I'm kind of quiet on my feet from some 'instincts' that I still have." She says winking.
"What do you mean by that?" Max says. Monica looks to me with a curious eye. Then I feel her in my mind.
You never told them? She asks. I shake my head. Why? Shouldn't you have told them by now? She asks me.
Why should they know about when you had to be quiet or else you'd be punished severely? I ask looks shocked. She just shrugs.
"Okay what's going on? I know you two are like brother and sister but I can't take all this 'silent conversation' stuff." Max says. We both look at him wide-eyed.
"What do you mean?" Monica asks, she looks to Jack and they have their own silent conversation. But this time she ends up smiling a little and grabbing his hand.
"Like the sibling stuff. Let us know." May says in response. I look to Monica and she nods.
"When we were younger, Monica had to hunt for things and in order for her to catch things she had to be stealthy and quiet." I lie. She sighs relieved.
"Oh that makes sense." May says. We all smile and sit there for a little while.
"So let's go inside shall we?" I say to mask the tension. We all nod and head inside.
We get to the Supercomputer and I enter in a few codes and virtualize Monica and Jack in.
As soon as they're done I activate the timer and the remaining three of us enter the scanners.
The energy travels over us and soon enough, we're all falling into Lyoko where the vehicles (and storm) wait for use.
I made a few tweaks to the FireFyler and colored it gold, but other than that, it was normal.
The others were the same and Max and Jack now had two motorcycles waiting for them, one green while the other was blue.
"Alright guys, I think it's time we try out these "new" vehicles" I smirk as we get on the vehicles.
I fly above everyone else and did a few tricks JUST to be a show-off, and I'm pretty sure Monica shot an arrow at me. So not much was different besides the arrow shooting.
"Okay, Fire Flyer: Code; FLIGHT!" the wings attached to my back and the wheels attach to my feet and I land right next to the others.
"Okay, have you been rehearsing this thing?" Max asked.
"You'd be surprised what I do in my spare time"
"I'm really sure I wouldn't"
"You don't know me or my story"
"Yes I do"
"I know"
"What is happening?" May asks.
"Geo does this a lot, I feel sorry because whoever is on the other end of the argument will sometimes gets burned by him" Monica said.
"Darn right" I smirked.
"Hey, does that belt work?" May asked.
She pointed at my belt.
"I forgot about this" I say and I activate it before I twist the thing off and form an "X" with my hands with the buckle facing me and my left hand facing outwards. I spin my left hand so it's facing me.
"Henshin" I say before I slide the buckle in. Insert
"Hen-" Max starts.
"Shin?" May finishes.
"It means 'transform' in Japanese" I say before I spin the disc. "I think" I add before the belt announces: Energize
The line shoots out, but instead of splitting when it comes towards me, it spins around me like a satellite before it forms an energy dome and the dome snaps onto my skin, creating my suit. X-Guardian, Engaged!
Strangely enough, the wings still stay on.
Then Odd and Aelita arrives.
"Hi!" May said as we all wave to them.
"What's going on here?" Odd asked.
"We're testing out some of these keys" I half-lie, pulling out one of my keys for emphasis.
"What one is that?"
"Dunno" I say. I insert the key into the belt and insert the code before closing it and spinning the disc.
Key #04, the female voice announced. O Gun: Engaged!, The male shouted.
A purple gun appeared in the air. It was larger than a regular pistol, but half the size of an AK-47.
"Well this is new" I say as I point it at a rock and fire as an object resembling one of Odd's laser arrows shot out and struck the rock.
"That's awesome!" Odd said as he took it from me and shot it at the same rock and a larger energy bullet struck the rock and demolished the front half of it.
"Okay, that's a new thing"
I give a purple key to Odd and he feels a sharp pain, I can tell as he nearly falls over and purple energy fills the key.
When it was done I plucked it from him and put it in the belt.
"Here goes nothing" I type the code in and spin the disc.
Key #03, it started (you should know which voice said this by now, if not, look back and review over the order they appeared in). O-Shooter: Engaged!
A silver line shot out and split so that it made a kind of O and it attached to my chest before purple light shot off it and circled around me before it reattached and the purple spread across me and created my new purple armor.
I snatched the gun back from Odd and shot the rock and demolished the rest of it, along with the ground behind it.
"Who won now?" I say cockily.
Odd pouted and Aelita slightly giggled. Of course, me and Monica were the only ones who knew why she was laughing. We just needed to figure out how to get them together.
Then lasers started raining down on us.
We would have taken cover but our only cover was destroyed by Odd... and to a much lesser extent, me.
We get to our vehicles and Odd rides with Max while Aelita rides with Jack.
I fly above and shoot lasers back. Then I take the key and charge it with my belt before placing it into the hilt of the gun and twist it, opening the nozzle to charge a purple orb of energy. I then take it and place it into the back and twist it before pushing it in fully.
O Shooter: O Blast: Burst Engaged!
"O Shooting Blitz!" I shout and rain the lasers onto them.
"That was easy" I say before something destroys the wings and I fall onto the ground and land on my feet.
"Crap" I say and look towards wherever the attack came from. I don't see anything before a VERY familiar blade almost hits me and I just BARELY dodge.
I look towards the blade...
...No, no it can't be, why is HE here!
"Miss me West?"
"What are you doing here, Zander!"

AKA: ...anyway, I'm sorry for rushing this chapter, but I have been wanting to write this crossover between these two stories for some time now, and I finally get to do so.

Geo: AKA99 will post the first chapter of the crossover as soon as he can, but otherwise he doesn't own Code Lyoko, Fossil Fighters, etc.
