Fossil Rangers: VivoFighters x Code Lyoko: X-Omega Unwound Part 4: Balance Between Both
A/N A little FYI, the two parts of the crossover after this will be counted as actual chapters to both the fics. Also, this one might be a bit bad near the end, as I don't have much inspiration, and I can't seem to get this to go any other way, and I've been trying to get this done for a while now, but I've had trouble getting the entire thing going because my co-author has moved onto more important things, and stopped helping me write, so now I'm on my own, but I do hope you enjoy.
EDIT: due to my discovering of some rules that I wasn't aware of, I removed parts one, three, and chapter 15 from this story. They still exist, but you'll have to switch to the other story this is crossed over with to read them. A nuisance, I know, but I will get around to fixing the others so they pass around the message as well.
Previously
"Apparently it started" Geo said, looking at the computer and seeing a large red area on a blue map of the island.
Folse walked over to the computer and started typing something in.
"He's right. There's a large fluctuation of energy in this area, and there are other waves of energy branching out from there" Folse said.
"In that case, we're going to need all the strength we can get" Geo said "everyone, let's go" all of them, including Folse ran out of the room and outside to see several multi-colored waves.
"Okay, let's go!"
X-Omega:
Eon awoke in the factory at the supercomputer and looked around.
"What happened?" He put his hand to his head and suddenly had trouble breathing.
He looked at the computer, which started filling with static.
"What?" he asked.
"Hello? Hello? Can anyone hear me?" a voice rang out from the computer.
"Is anyone there?" Eon asked.
"Oh good, someone's there" the computer got a bit clearer and Eon saw a man in a
lab coat with a red shirt and grey hair with a large pair of glasses.
"Who are you?" Eon asked.
"I am Franz Hopper, Aelita and Monica's father"
"Okay, but what do we do now?" Eon asked Franz.
"The people back at Vivosaur Island are in danger"
"What do you mean?" Eon dared to say.
"I mean, that Xana and Zander have joined forces with your enemies and are planning on turning everyone into creatures that serve under our enemies"
"Well what can I do?" Eon questioned the man.
"Well, you need to get back to the island to fight; your interference will be helpful in the battle"
"But I don't think I can get there in time" Eon complained.
"One of your "Zords" is capable of flight, correct?"
Now:
"I can't believe I'm doing this" Eon complained aloud. He was currently flying his Aopteryx Zord towards Vivosaur Island, where he saw waves of energy branching out from it.
And strangely enough, as he got closer, he found it even harder to breath, and he felt strange compulsions come over him.
Such as jumping out of his Zord and trying to fly. This is when he would have died from impact to the sea.
"It can't be much longer, I'm on my way you guys!"
V-Fighters:
The group ran towards the direction of where the waves appeared, where it got harder and harder to breath.
They didn't get farther before Holt collapsed.
"Hey, you okay?" Jack stopped and helped him up.
Monica stopped and looked and tried to go towards the two before a circle of Foneys appeared around them.
"Jack!" Monica shouted.
"We'll be fine" Jack said as he drew his buckle, and with some urging, Holt managed to draw his morpher and chip and the two changed before they started fighting.
Monica started to go try and help but was pulled back by Geo.
"We have to go, there's no time!" Monica reluctantly started running towards the group as well.
"You better come back!" she shouted before she continued running.
"You actually think we have a chance?" Holt got out.
"No, but we have to try don't we?" Jack got his bow out and started attacking as Holt drew his PaCrasher and sword before attacking as well.
The rest of the group managed to get further into the town, where they saw several people struggling on the ground.
Dyllon especially found it hard to breathe.
"Dyllon, are you okay?" Duna asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, let's just go" Dyllon struggled to go further.
"No, if you can't take it then this is as far as you can go" Duna said.
The group stopped when several Foneys appeared.
"We don't have time, someone needs to stay behind and fight"
"I'll do it, this is as far as I can go anyways" Dyllon drew his morpher.
Duna nodded and drew hers as well "might as well help" she said as they inserted their chips into their morphers and morphed.
Dyllon drew his JarWings and Duna her DinaCannon.
The two started to fight the fossils and the others just ran towards the source, albeit reluctantly.
By now, all that remained was Geo, May, Folse, Max, Monica, and Rosie.
They reached the area where they saw a large machine producing the waves and no one was there.
"This is getting too easy" May said.
"Yeah" Geo breathed "TOO easy" he said.
Rosie took one step closer, and couldn't breathe.
Rosie collapsed to the ground, struggling to get a breath in, but she was suddenly pulled back from where she was by Geo.
"I think there's a certain area they built up so to prevent someone from going inside. I doubt its here, probably much closer as a sign of arrogance that we can't reach it, but Rosie can't go farther due to the boosted transformation the Boost Armor caused."
"What does that mean?" Max asked.
"It means that the Destructors have put up precautions to stop the Rangers from stopping them, but only the ones who have used the Boost Armor. But, they didn't expect Folse or us to appear, so I guess Rosie has to stay behind" Geo guessed.
Rosie nodded and May walked next to her. "I'll stay behind in case she needs backup" the remaining four nodded and cautiously stepped forward.
Then the world promptly exploded.
Geo and Folse crashed into the machine as Monica and Max flew back a few feet.
All of them looked around before they heard cackling and turned to see Zander, Xenus, Ultamus, and Entros.
"My, my, you were right Zander, they would come if we baited them"
"How did you know!" Geo shouted.
"It was quite easy actually, you're just so predictable" Zander drew his giant blade.
Geo reached to his belt and took it off before drawing the X and grabbing his sword.
"Geo!" May started to run to him but was stopped by Xenus.
"Sorry, but we can't have you guys interfering just like that" Xenus taunted.
May growled before she drew her belt and drew her symbol before she was in her suit and charging Xenus with her daggers.
May swung at Xenus, who ducked under it and kicked her away before she turned towards Rosie.
"What's wrong Blue Ranger, can't fight?" Xenus taunted as two devices resembling Rosie's ElasWhips appeared in her hands "because these will be VERY handy"
She lashed out at May, who had received a portion of it to her cheek.
"May!" Max ran at her but was blocked by Entros.
"Sorry, but you'll have to be occupied as well" Entros sneered as a fist resembling Holt's PaCrasher appeared.
Max growled before Monica ran up next to him and they drew their symbols.
The two started fighting with Entros as Geo could only stare while fighting.
"What's the matter? Can't take it!" Zander shoved Geo away and slashed across his chest.
"Folse, I need help!" Geo turned to Folse and saw the man was on the ground, clutching his stomach and all of a sudden, he screamed as a pair of Pterodactyl wings sprouted from his back.
"Oh crap" Geo just summarized everyone's thoughts.
Eon landed his Zord and got up before he ran out the door of the cockpit and accidentally ran into an object under a tarp.
"Ouch!" the object said.
"Odd, be quiet" another voice urged.
"Wait a minute" he pulled the tarp back to reveal a sheepish Odd and Aelita.
"What are you two doing?" Eon angrily asked.
"We wanted to help" Aelita replied.
"So you snuck on board?"
"It was the only other option we saw" Odd said.
"I don't have time for this, come on" He dragged the both of them up and out of the vehicle before he started running somewhere.
"Wait, where do we go!" Aelita called out. "I brought you here, why don't you figure it out!" Eon called back.
"Unbelievable, we sneak aboard his ship to help and he turns against us" Odd grumbled.
"Well we could at least follow to help" Aelita said. Odd nodded and the two ran after the boy.
"What's going on?" Monica asked, spotting Folse's transformation.
"We're too close to the machine, and due to his previous fusions, he is changing already"
"But I thought it didn't affect him" Max said.
"Apparently, I was wrong" Geo ducked under a slash from Zander before kicking him in the stomach. "Get him out of the field!" Geo shouted just in time to get punched in the face.
"Focus on the fight!" Zander snapped before attempting to stab Geo, who moved it out of the way and slid in for a punch, successfully hitting him across the face. And with that, Geo shoved Zander off him and got into another ready stance.
"Do it already!" Geo shouted.
Monica nodded and started to go after Folse when she was stopped by Entros.
"Sorry, but we're not done here" Entros sneered before running at her.
Monica was hit by an attack and landed before she stood up and fired an arrow, which flew towards the Destructor before he caught it and snapped it in two.
"That's the best you can do?" he actually cocked his head in curiosity before he attacked her again.
Monica raised her hands in anger and Entros started floating upwards before she threw him into Xenus.
"Okay, I can't hold them for long!" Monica snapped.
May nodded and ran to Folse and started to help him out of the field.
She shoved him out just in time for him to scream and for the wings on his back to extend and his eyes turned light blue and green.
"Folse!" Rosie shouted as she ran to his side.
Max narrowed his eyes at Folse and he let out a shout before he ran at Entros. He slashed downwards, but Entros blocked it, only for Monica to shoot him in the gut when he was caught off guard.
Max stabbed him in the gut before Monica shot an arrow into his face.
"You're not going to stop us!" Max took out his gun and unleashed a dozen rounds of green energy bullets into Entros, knocking him to the ground.
"H-how? I'm supposed to be impervious to your attacks!"
"Shoulda thought of that before you gained an actual body by stealing Holt's powers!" Rosie snapped from her position.
Entros growled and tried to get up but Monica pulled the handle on her bow, emphasizing she was ready to shoot.
May ducked under a slash and jumped back from Xenus's attack. "Stop running girl, you can't go anywhere while we still have the power to w-!" She was interrupted when Rosie had run up and punched her in the face, getting her away from May.
"What!" Xenus shouted, clutching her nose in pain due to being used to pain.
"But how, you can't enter the field!" Xenus shouted.
"Take a look around at where we are!" Rosie shouted as Xenus realized that the last time May had dodged, she had managed to get her out of the field.
"Seems to me that you've overestimated me once again" Rosie smirked and inserted her chip into her morpher.
"Me? What are you talking about?"
"You took MY powers to make your own form, forgive me for not allowing you to keep them! VivoFighters: Elasmo Power!" Rosie morphed into her suit and drew her Pickaxe in sword mode.
Xenus growled before she cracked her whip. Both of the girls got into ready stances and ran at her.
May slashed at Xenus, who dodged her attack, but received the attack from Rosie, who had lashed forward and struck her across her face.
She could do nothing but receive a drop kick from the two of them.
Geo fell backwards from a slash from Zander before he got up and was slashed across his stomach again. Geo managed to get up one last time before he took the buckle off the side and formed an X with his arms.
"Henshin!" he dodged out of the way of a slash and slid the buckle into his belt before spinning the disc.
Insert, Energize!
The line shot out of his belt and tried to hit Zander, who blocked with his sword before the X formed his suit.
X-Guardian, Engaged!
He grabbed the sword that he had dropped on the ground and started using it against Zander, and started slightly overpowering him. He swung towards his chest but Zander ducked and so he swung downwards towards his leg, but barely nicked him when he jumped up and started to slam his sword onto his head.
Geo moved out of the way and swept his leg out before he could manage to land, causing him to slam onto hi side and dropped his sword. Geo swung downwards, but Zander moved out of the way and swung his legs around and used his momentum to kick the sword out before planting his feet into Geo's stomach and kicking forward, sending him into a tree.
"What's the matter, can't handle me?" Zander taunted.
"No, it's just the machine is weakening me" Geo said.
"In denial, are we?" Zander said.
Geo switched forms with a key or two.
Key #05, M-Archer, Engaged!
Key #06, Strike Arrow, Engaged!
He held his Strike Arrow in front of him and he ran at Zander.
"Silly West" Zander picked up Geo's discarded sword and used it against him. "Don't you know that if you use that so much you'll lose energy? Like how you just used it now?" Zander slashed across his chest.
Geo stumbled back and shot an arrow at him, which Zander deflected but he didn't deflect the slash that Geo made across his chest, and caused it to spark.
Key Charge
Geo inserted the charged key into his weapon and prepared to fire.
"M-Arrow Barrage!" he released his grip on the handle and several energy arrows hit Zander, who got closer to the machine.
"Wait, how come-"
"I'm not changing? This machine empowers me while it weakens you!" Zander felt himself get energized before he ran at Geo.
Eon, Aelita, and Odd managed to get almost exactly next to the machine, but they were soon surrounded by robots and a single robot that seemed to be upgraded.
"Crap, DinoMorph Power, Go!"
Aelita and Odd drew their symbols.
"I thought I told you two to stay behind" Eon used his swords to slash at his enemies.
"Did you? I don't really remember you doing that" Odd joked.
"Shut it" Eon said before he slashed across a monsters chest.
Odd fired an arrow at an enemy and jumped onto its face before kicking away, spring-boarding off and landing onto another one before effectively shooting it in the face at point blank range.
Aelita dodged out of the way of several robots attacks before she finally unleashed an energy orb at one and managed to electrify it before doing the same to a few more.
Eon swiftly moved out of the way and started using both of his weapons to slash across two chests before jumping up and using his wings for extra height before using it to go down and using the gravity for kicking power.
The three gathered in a triangle when the remaining surrounded them.
"This doesn't look so bad" Odd said… then the robots suddenly used their fallen comrades armor, weapons, and other assorted objects as armaments.
"…spoke too soon"
A black and pink creature looked on at all the fighting. It looked and saw all of the allies who were having trouble facing off against the new robots and the Foneys.
The creature looked at the center of all the fighting, and saw a man in armor who was fighting against another man who wasn't in armor, but was beating the crap out of him.
The creature looked at it before he ran at the group.
Jack and Holt were on the ground, about to be defeated as they were dragged to the others, and Holt was having even more trouble breathing, along with the others who were dragged closer to the machine.
"So what now?" Dyllon asked.
"I think we're about to be executed" Duna said.
One of the robots, supposedly the lead one, walked towards Jack.
It held his weapon in his hands and reared back for a swing…
…when all of a sudden a black and pink blur ran by and wind picked up all of the robots and crashed them together before fully destroying them.
"What was that?" Holt asked, getting up.
"No idea, but I guess we should find out" Jack led the group towards the machine.
Eon, Aelita, and Odd stood surrounded by the monsters when all of a sudden; a wind surrounded most of them and destroyed them.
"What the what?" Odd said, looking in the direction the blur was going.
"Come on, we have to follow it!" the three ran after it.
Geo hit the ground to avoid a slash from Zander before he swung his legs around and knocked Zander to the ground before releasing another arrow at him.
Zander blocked that, but didn't block the area where Geo stabbed him with the tip of the arrow and then shot another at him.
Zander fell back and Geo spun around to perform a spinning round kick and planted it into his face.
Geo landed and pulled the handle back, preparing to let loose an arrow.
"Now, for the last one!" Just before he let the handle go, a crimson red monster came out of nowhere and hit him, causing his bow to point elsewhere as he released the arrow, sending in into a tree.
Geo looked at his attacker. "Folse" he croaked out when he saw the man who was human a few minutes ago, had turned into a pterodactyl like creature.
The creature ran at him and slashed across his chest and roared before a burst of red energy sent him flying into Max.
"Sorry buddy" Geo got up, as did Max and both saw Monica fighting against Entros and the creature running towards them.
They both got into ready stances when Max started convulsing and began changing.
"Max!" Geo went to his side but Max waved him off.
"Just leave me!" Geo looked back up and saw the creature about to slash downwards.
Geo prepared to block when a sudden blur ran by and knocked the Folse-Destructor away.
Geo spun to the source of the blur and saw a black and pink monster staring at him.
"What in the world?" Geo got ready for battle when the monster raised its hand up, as if signaling to stop.
"What?" Geo got out of his ready stance and walked towards the monster.
The monster suddenly grabbed his wrist, but it was apparent that harm was meant as green energy surged from Geo into the monsters arm and body.
"Geo!" Odd ran in and tried to help, but was stopped by Monica, who was knocked towards them.
"Monica!" Aelita tried to help her but noticed that she was changing into a monster as well.
Aelita looked back up only to get struck by an attack from Entros.
"Eon, you have to destroy the machine!" Rosie called out to her ally before Xenus kicked her into the field and she started to change into an Elasmo monster as well.
"Guys!" Geo looked at them as he was knocked out of the field by Zander.
"Why haven't you changed yet!" Zander asked as he kicked Geo into a tree. He punched Geo, but Geo dove out of the way.
"Because, the suit dilutes the waves because I tampered with it a little, therefore enabling me to withstand the waves of energy longer then even those who haven't even touched Evolutionary Energy or a morpher" Geo sneered and held his bow in front of him.
Zander growled before he ran at Geo again.
Geo moved out of the way and unleashed an arrow at Zander's back. When his opponent turned back around, he kicked Zander in the gut and slashed across his mask, cutting it diagonally, revealing his mouth and a part of his left nostril.
Zander's mouth started to snarl and he ran at Geo, who got into a stance.
"ENOUGH!" All the fighting stopped and everyone turned to Ultamus, who was standing at the machine and chuckling in a sinister way.
"The machine is ready, so let's begin!" Ultamus hit a button on the machine and more powerful waves shot out of the machine and covered all of the heroes.
Everyone collapsed, except Geo and Zander, but even then Geo was struggling to stand.
"Not yet!" Geo stumbled to his sword and grabbed it as he held both weapons in front of him.
"Too late!" Zander shouted. Geo ran towards the machine, stumbling as well. He flashed with green energy and called out in pain as he collapsed to the ground.
"Geo" May extended her hand towards him, trying to help when all of a sudden, the rest of the group ran in as a wave shot out and engulfed them, causing them to collapse as well.
"My vision, it's happening… wait, we were supposed to be in a cavern, why are we-" she was cut off when the ground collapsed around them and they all fell into a large cavern "spoke too soon"
She began convulsing and she reopened her eyes, revealing they were periwinkle.
The black and pink monster fell to the ground from the attack next to Geo.
"I-I know what you are!" Geo hoarsely said to the creature, who looked at him. "You-you're Seth… when you made contact with me… your memories traveled as well… and I saw… you know how to fix this" the monster nodded. "And you need my help" the monster nodded again.
"Okay then, use my power the best you can!" Geo grabbed the wrist of Seth and the energy traveled. Seth stood up and he started to become covered in a cocoon of light.
"Seth" Rosie and Holt managed to get out.
"Hmph" Zander ran at the cocoon and attempted to destroy it, thinking it would get rid of Seth.
But he was stopped by a single hand that caught it with the palms of both his hands before kicking him away.
"Who-?"
Zander was interrupted by the figure kicking him away and then punching him farther back.
The figure was wearing a dark yellow suit with grey armor on their elbows and kneecaps. They had a black chestplate that had a symbol that looked remarkably like the buckle Geo used to transform with. On their back was two katanas that were held in sheaths. There belt held two discs on the left and right, but there was a space in the middle that held a buckle that matched the design of the one on his chest. His mask was a gold color and looked like the front of a bike.
"I am the embodiment of Lyoko's infinite power, so" he stood up "from one being to another, what are your last words?" the figure asked, pointing a finger at Zander, and to a lesser extent, the Dino Destructors.
"My last words? Hah! How about yours!" Zander ran at the man, who simply walked forward in response.
Zander slashed downwards, and the man dodged before kicking him in the side. Zander stumbled and the man took this chance to unleash several dozen fast punches onto his gut.
When Zander got his bearings back, he stabbed forward and his sword extended. But the man responded by running at it and jumping onto the blade, before sliding down it like a railing. He grabbed his two katanas and jumped up before spinning in a circle while slashing, breaking Zander's mask in half and causing it to fall to the ground, revealing his face.
The man took a step forward in shock, as his face looked exactly like Geo's except no one else saw as they were too busy struggling.
Before the man could get into a ready stance, the cocoon of light busted open and Seth was revealed to be a human.
"Tch, I guess I'm taking my leave then" Zander said as he suddenly vanished.
"Coward! Get back here!" Entros shouted as he ran to where Zander used to be only to be struck by the katana held by the man.
Seth looked at Geo, even as he was glowing and helped him up.
"I think it's time we finished this" Seth said, and both of them looked at their enemies. Seth glowed and all of a sudden his Ranger Form appeared, as did his Boost Armor, but both was suddenly changed into an armor that couldn't be seen in the brightness by anyone but Geo.
"I see, so that's what you're going to use to overpower it" Geo said, and both of them extended their hands towards the machine. The X on Geo's hand glowed and the front of Seth's armor started flashing and rainbow-colored light shot out of their hands and covered the machine and Destructors, temporarily blinding everyone.
The lights abruptly stopped and Seth's armor was revealed to have vanished and he was back in his regular Ranger suit as Geo was in his Lyoko form.
Everyone unshielded their eyes to see that the machine that they had saw that was doing so much damage to everyone, had been frozen in stone, along with every other enemy up there.
"I-Is it over?" Holt asked, as everyone got up.
"I think so" Monica responded.
The man sighed and he walked away, unnoticed.
"But, what about Folse and Zander?" Eon asked.
"I don't know, for Zander, we'll have to wait to see what he does, for Folse, you guys will have to contain him until his DNA can reset from the damages done by the machine" Geo told them.
Geo and Seth both deactivated their transformations and turned around as their suits faded.
Geo looked at the small crowd behind him, but Seth looked especially at his team, and smiled.
"Hey guys, I'm back" he said. Holt, Dyllon, Duna, and Eon all smiled in glee. Rosie however, put her hands to her mouth and tears started leaking out of her eyes before she ran at Seth and hugged him.
He hugged her back. "Seth" Rosie whispered.
"Um, guys, can you save this for later" Max said.
Holt smacked him over the back of the head... with his fist. "Don't ruin this for them" he told the boy.
"So, what do you guys plan to do now?" Seth asked Geo as they stood on the boat, leaning against the railing.
"Well, we need to get back to Kadic, at approximately this time; we would be back to where we were yesterday. We need to go back to the place where we got here and reverse the polarity in order to get back to where we transported from"
"Seems simple enough" Seth said, even though he didn't understand it.
"Basically, we need to go back where we started out from and use something like your morphers to get back home" Geo shortened it.
"Oh, seems simple enough, here" Seth handed him Folse's morpher.
"Why is this one colored?"
"I don't know, Folse had it, but I saw him use it a couple times while I was in monster form." "I see" Geo pocketed the morpher. "How about I give this back to you in a month, our school is visiting then"
"Alright, I guess it's a deal" Seth laughed.
The two of them looked at May and Rosie, who were sitting at a bench, chatting away without a care in the world.
"You could do it you know" Seth told his counterpart. "Pardon?" Geo fixed his glasses. "Run away from all the superhero business, if you're doing it for fame, it gets old" Seth told him.
"Please, I may be a nerd, but I still don't want to be known worldwide for my actions" Geo took out his inhaler and took a breath from it. "Well, then what do you want to do?" Geo put the inhaler down "I guess, that if Lyoko had never happened, I would have probably been some computer specialist, but now that everything has happened, it would make for a good story, probably from a good writer too"
"So, let me get this straight: big bad Mr. Kamen Rider wants to be a book writer?" Seth laughed. "Eh? What in the world is a Kamen Rider?" Geo questioned.
"Well, I don't know much, but I remember seeing this show where there were heroes that fought for justice, I didn't understand what they were saying, but there were a few words that constantly circled that show, so I looked them up, and what do you know, there's an entire franchise based on these armored heroes in Japan, with the exact title as the words I used to look them up with"
"I see, so you decided to make a funny joke about my armor based on both the show and called me a "Masked Rider"?"
"Is that what it means?" Seth had a face of confusion. "I speak a little bit, don't judge me" Geo said "but I guess that means that I need a title, how about:
Kamen Rider X-Omega?"
"Eh, I guess it could fit" Seth contemplated.
The boat grinded to a halt.
"Okay, let's go" Seth told Geo.
Soon enough, the Lyoko Warriors and Seth, Holt, and Rosie all stood in the room where they first showed up.
"Well, this is where we'll have to say goodbye" Monica told the three.
"It's been nice to see you guys" Rosie said.
"Yeah, but it hasn't been fun, more like exhilarating in the wrong ways"
"There are wrong ways for that?' Max asked.
"Yeah, like anxiety and stuff" Holt said.
"Holt, Max, you two can socialize later" Geo told them.
Geo looked at the phone and the X started to glow.
"Well, time we took our leave" Geo said.
"Wait, how are you guys able to use the phone like that?" Holt asked.
"Because, whenever you guys use your morphers, a portal opens, and THEN the Vivosaur fuses with you, I can use the portal function in a similar way to get us home" Geo fixed his glasses as the group started to glow and vanished.
"Goodbye for now, Power-no; Fossil Rangers"
