A/N I apologize for the long wait, but I finally finished with the chapters I've been working on. So here it is, but it may take me a while to do the next few chapters, and I apologize in advance.

[Geo's P.O.V.]

Currently, I worked in the lunchroom by myself, typing on my laptop as I ate from a bagel. Don't question why I have a bagel. On the laptop was a document that was approximately a page long.

Putting the bagel down, I wiped my hands on my pants and I took a swig of coffee.

Jim walked up to the table.

"Hey, Geo, I think you should head to bed already, it's getting kind of late." He told me.

"I'm aware" I got back to typing.

"It's getting past curfew; I think you should rest a bit"

He's right kid. A male voice rang out inside my head.

Shut it you. I quickly shut him up.

"Jim, I've been missing for a month and I have three days to finish my make-up work. I'm only halfway done" Geo opened his mouth and spoke.

"I understand that but I at least think that there's a time for work and a time for rest. You're overworking yourself a bit there, turn in for the night, it'll be beneficial"

"You may be right but just let me finish this last page"

"Fine" Jim left.

I typed one last sentence and saved the document before closing the laptop. Taking one last bite from the bagel, I threw it away before leaving.

In the morning, I worked on a different assignment.

Then May sat down next to me.

"Hey, Geo… what are you working on now?" she dared to ask.

"Well, I'm working on something that has plagued me since childhood and has since become the bane of my existence."

"Math?"

"Correct"

May giggled like a schoolgirl… wait she already was one.

We're aware of this kid.

WILL YOU TWO LEAVE ME ALONE!?

We can't. A female voice spoke up.

By the way, can you name us?

What?!

Name us, we can't just be known as the voices in your head, that'd be weird.

Let's face it this is already too weird for me.

Would Reiji work?

Ooh that's a good one! What about Akiza?

That's a good name too. Hey kid, could these be our names?

NO!

Well someone has issues.

Can you blame him, his full name is Geonardo.

Aren't you the one who stops him from snarking on me?

I'm taking a break.

"Geo you okay?"

May's voice broke me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, I'm fine"

Hey kid, you want to focus next time?

I'm starting to hate you.

That's his job.

[May's P.O.V.]

Geo simply sat at the table, staring into space with his pencil stuck, mid-writing.

"Geo… Geo?" I tried to shake his shoulders, causing him to refocus.

"Sorry, what just happened?"

"You blanked out for some reason."

"Okay. What was I in the middle of?" He looked down at the paper in front of him.

"Math"

His shoulders noticeably slumped.

"I think I'm just going to postpone on the math, I have to study for a test anyways"

He packed up and started to leave.

"Wait, do you need help studying?"

He paused and turned to me.

"No, May. I'm… I already promised Aelita and Odd that I'd study with them today" he left.

I watched him leave and turned back to my food, feeling dejected.

Did I do something wrong? I thought to myself.

Finishing my food, I get up and throw the remains away. Exiting the building, I spot Geo and begin following him. All of a sudden, Max appears in front of me.

"Hey May! What's happening?" he asked.

"Max! Don't scare me like that!"

"Sorry. Hey, do you want to go see how Jeremy and the others are doing on their little "project"?"

"What project?"

"Oh that's right, as it turns out, Jeremy and Ulrich have been working on something for a while now, and they seem to be really invested in it. I wanted to know if you would come with me to see how they're doing."

Taking one last look around, I see that Geo is nowhere in sight. Sighing, I nod my head.

"Okay, might as well"

The two of us enter the factory.

Eventually, we enter the elevator and go down to the computer room.

Jeremy and Ulrich are inside.

"Hey guys, whatcha doing?" Max asked.

Jeremy jumped and Ulrich turned in surprise.

"May! Max! What are you two doing here?!" Jeremy demanded, closing out of a program.

"We wanted to see how you were doing on your project" I decide to answer.

"What project?" Ulrich feigned ignorance.

"Max told me you guys were working on a project for some time now and invited me to see it" I admitted.

"Max! We told you not to tell anyone!" Jeremy shouted at him.

"Jeremy!" Max shouted back "in all fairness, keeping secrets are boring. Besides, you told me you were almost done when I stumbled upon this and you told me to keep it a secret"

"…Max are you okay? You're usually not this… weird" I ask.

"I'm bored, simple as that" he shrugged.

"Fine, might as well shot you" Jeremy sighed.

Reopening the program, we got close to the screen for a look.

On the screen was a strange device with a slot in the middle and two large discs on the sides of it.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Currently, we're classifying it as "The Lyoko Driver". Taking the data from Geo's own belt, which we've nicknamed: "The X-Omega Driver", we managed to engineer our own belts which can be used by everyone on the team"

"We can transform… like Geo?" I blinked.

"Yes, and it all requires those devices that we can use to transform into our own suits in the real world" Jeremy added.

"Currently, it's wired to only work with me, but we're working on getting it to be used by everyone else" Ulrich spoke up.

"That's incredible. But is it possible that we can also use Geo's belt?"

"We haven't tested that theory yet, so for now we can't risk it out in battle until we test it." Jeremy pointed out.

I pondered the situation for a moment.

"Is it possible that you can use us to finish the Lyoko Driver?"

"Well, theoretically yes, but it's too dangerous right now, we're still working on finishing development."

We took a minute to process this.

"So basically yes" Max nodded.

"Look just see for yourself" Jeremy sighed.

He pointed to the side of the hologram, where there was a silver device with two discs identical to the one on the screen, but there were several wires connecting it to the computer.

"We should probably get going" I pointed out.

"And before you leave, we're going to need your buckles"

Without a second thought, I took off my buckle and held it out but Max hesitated.

"What's wrong?"

"Well, I think we should have it near us in case of an emergency" he pointed out.

"Fine, keep it on then" Jeremy sighed, waving his hand. We finally left.

[Odd's P.O.V.]

Aelita and I were working with Geo on studying for his test.

He's actually doing pretty well. I've never seen anyone as dedicated as he was.

"Geo, tell me what the word "insurgent" means" Aelita said.

"Insurgent means rebel" Geo said.

"Good job, now what does "tacit" mean?" I asked.

"Tacit means silent or something like that"

"Good enough" I look back down at the list.

"When exactly is the test?" Aelita asked.

"About 20 minutes"

"…isn't it Saturday?" I pointed out.

"Odd, the dorms are next to the classrooms and the science building isn't that far, you want to talk about staying during weekends? Actually, don't you have detention today?" he asked.

"That's beside the point" I dodge the question. "I'm just saying that making you stay to do a test on a Saturday is a bit much"

Geo stood up and packed his things. "Odd I've been gone a month. They've wasted that much time waiting for me to come back and saving up my work the least I can do is give them one of my days to give me work." Geo left.

The second he left, Aelita responded with: "Do you think he's going to do well during the test?"

"I would hope so, we don't have the same teacher but I've heard that the test was really hard"

"Still, have a little hope; this is Geo we're talking about." She pointed out.

"Even Jeremy had trouble, and he's about as smart as Geo"

"Odd, have a little faith in him"

I sighed and laid back down on my bed.

"I really want to, but there's something that happened to Geo while he was gone, because he seems different now. I'm not sure I can trust him at all since he's got back" I admitted.

Aelita moved to my bed and sat down next to me.

"Even so, all we can do is trust in Geo. We don't exactly know what happened to him, so we have to be on guard. But until we know we can trust him, we just have to believe that he's still the ally we knew"

I sat back up.

"Heh, I guess you're right, Aelita" I turned my head. We were now face-to-face.

I stared her in the eyes and she stared back.

All of a sudden, my phone rang…

…and I realized what was happening. And apparently Aelita did as well, as she started blushing.

I stood up and retrieved my phone from my pocket, answering it.

"Hello?"

"Odd? Where are you right now?" Jeremy's voice came from the other end.

"I'm in my room with Aelita right now, why?" I ask.

"Because, a tower's been activated. Could you watch out and make sure nothing bad happens?" he asked.

"Yeah sure, but what exactly am I supposed to be looking out for?"

"We don't have a clue yet. But I doubt it's Xana. The activated tower seems completely different then the ones we usually see. Be careful" he said before hanging up.

I pocketed my phone and turned to Aelita.

"So what was that about?" she asked.

"Jeremy said to look out because Xana activated a tower. He didn't say what to look out for though" I answered.

"Should we go look around for anything suspicious?"

"That sounds like a good idea. And if we see any of the others we warn them to keep their eyes on the lookout"

And with that, we left.

[Third Person P.O.V.]

Monica walked through the courtyard by herself. However, she stopped when she noticed that something was happening.

Around her, the lights in the buildings began to flicker before they shut off completely.

"What's going on?" she asked.

Looking around, she spotted May and Max coming up.

"Monica! Where are the others?" May asked.

"Jack went to go work on something, Odd and Aelita were helping Geo study for his test, Yumi and William had to do homework, and I don't know about the others"

A power line sparked nearby.

"Where's Jeremy, I think I have an idea what's going on" she told them.

"Jeremy's working with Ulrich on something" was all Max replied with.

"Should we get to the factory?" Monica asked.

Any further thought was stopped by electricity forming (visibly) from the power line and shooting towards the ground.

Covering their faces, the three looked back over to see there was a large cloud of smoke.

The smoke dissipated, revealing a red humanoid figure. It's arms were slender and ended in hands. The legs however were long and ended in tips, leaving it a mystery how it managed to stand.

The body was dark red with a chest that jutted out, showing that it was heavily armored and had three medium sized white circles. Lastly, the head was spiky with three more "eyes" with the center one the largest. On its back was a massive symbol quite remarkably shaped like a bulls-eye.

Any civilian nearby ran away. The power in the buildings finally turned off, leaving the rooms in darkness.

"Is that… a Krabe?" May managed to get out.

"I think we know how Xana is managing to get monsters out in our world without the scanners" Max gulped.

The Krabe monster began stumbling towards them.

The three of them entered ready stances. "Monica! May!" Odd and Aelita suddenly appeared near them.

"There's a tower activated but we don't know what's happening!" Odd said.

Max's shoulder slumped and he gave Odd an incredulous look. He pointed to the Krabe monster.

"Oh, never mind, you guys figured it out" he sheepishly laughed.

"Anyways!" May interrupted.

"Monica, Odd, and Max; can you guys handle the Krabe, I'm going to head to Lyoko with Aelita" she said.
Monica nodded.

"Go ahead" Max grinned.

May and Aelita nodded and ran off.

Odd, Monica and Max took off their buckles and drew their symbols, their suits forming within moments.

Geo sat in the library as his teacher brought his test.

"Okay, you have an hour to write an essay using these words" they told him, dropping a paper with several words on them.

"Can I listen to music?" he asked.

"I don't care" they walked away.

Geo took out headphones and put them in, turning on a song.

The music blasted into his ears, blocking out any sound nearby. He picked up his pencil and looked over the prompt.

Monica, Odd and Max were fighting against the Krabe and doing okay.

Max stabbed with his weapon, and when he missed she spun around and slammed the edge into the monster, sending into Odd, who attempted to shoot it in the back.

Weaving out of the way, the Krabe was suddenly subject to an arrow in the back.

Max stood beside Monica and looked at the Krabe, looking past it briefly to see Geo in the library.

"Hey! Geo's in there! Maybe we can get his attention!" he suggested.

"That's a good idea, but how?" Max asked.

"Try making as much noise as possible, he can't ignore us then"

Geo contemplated a sentence he just wrote and then erased it, shaking his head,

Behind him, in the window, Max was thrown in and out of view.

All of a sudden, Odd backed up into view as well, swinging his fists around wildly at an object out of view.

He was pushed out of view, revealing the Krabe, which shoved him back with a punch. Then an arrow sunk into its shoulder and it turned around to rush to the source.

Geo suddenly stiffened and turned around, taking out a headphone and looking out the window. He saw nothing.

He shrugged and turned back around. As he got back to writing, Max flew by the window again.

[Ulrich's P.O.V.]

HAHAHA! I CAN'T BREATH!

Right now, Jeremy and I were watching live footage of the fight that Jeremy somehow got. And it's pretty funny to see them getting tossed around while Geo is barely visible through the window, not noticing them.

"Oh this is too great!" I laughed.

"I'll admit it is enjoyable" Jeremy grinned.

Suddenly, Max flew past the screen again and I burst out laughing.

"Okay, this may be going on too far. I think we should go stop that monster already" Jeremy pointed out.

"Even so, I think Geo will notice them eventually" I wipe a tear off my cheek.

"Ulrich!"

"Fine, no need to get so upset" I sigh. Walking over to the computer, I unplug several of the wires from the Lyoko Driver and pick it up, going into the elevator.

I face towards Jeremy and hit the button, closing the doors to head up. I place the Driver onto my waist, a black strap wrapping around my waist.

Holding up the buckle that we usually use to transform, I slide it into the top of the Driver, sliding it to the space between the two discs.

"Henshin" I spun the two discs at the same time. Two waves of energy emerged from the discs, spinning around each other and merging before impacting my chest.

It disassembled and reconnected all over, forming a suit and armor.

The suit was a dark yellow color with grey armor on my elbows and kneecaps. I had a black chest plate with a symbol remarkably like the buckle I used to transform. On my back were two katanas that were held in sheaths. My mask was a gold color and looked like the front of a bike.

"Let's get to work" the doors opened, revealing I was on the ground floor.

It took a single jump to reach the upper level with the bridge. And I simply enter the sewers to get moving.

[Geo's P.O.V.]

Well this is difficult.

What did you expect? You're in one of the most advanced English Classes in the school.

Shut it.

Name us and we will.

Well, I could focus on doing that… after I focus on finishing this test!

Let's be honest, this is more of an essay then an actual test.

Well, it is an essay.

If I name you, will you shut up?

Yes! Yes!

Then wait until I am done!

A crash invaded my thoughts.

It's probably just some kid skateboarding.

Hey, kid. Max just got thrown across the window again.

Do you mind? I'm trying to focus.

Seriously though, they're still fighting.

Okay, then explain how you can see this "fighting" happen.

Kid just because you are the only ones who can hear out voices doesn't mean we're in your head. If anything, we're like people who are next to you watching this stuff happen.

What?

We're basically like invisible humans but when we speak the only one who can hear us is you.

Well why don't you find someone else then?

We don't know.

Seriously kid, Max is flying around the window willy-nilly, it's really entertaining.

FINE I'LL LOOK!

I turned around for a brief moment. There was nothing in the window. I turned back around.

NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!

Oh, there he goes again.

And through the window he goes.

SHUT UP!

Geo; Max, Monica, and Odd are in the library with you now, fighting against this thing.

And what makes you think I believe you?

All of a sudden, Max crashed onto the table I was sitting at, breaking it in two.

Startled, I brought my hands up, causing my headphones to fall out.

"Hi Geo!" he smiled.

Well that might be a good reason.

I stood up and spun around.

Odd and Monica were both attacking a Krabe-like monster, and were about even with it.

"You guys were serious?" Realization hit me like a truck.

"What are you talking about?" Max sat up.

"Nothing" I shook my head. Instantly I formed my belt and took off the object on the side.

Access!

"Henshin!"

Insert, Energize! X-Guardian, Engage!

The line shot from my belt and circled around me before forming my suit.

I charge towards the Krabe and jump onto it, pushing it away. "Surprise!"

Somehow, we ended up outside.

The Krabe got it bearings back and swung wildly at me.

Jumping back, I avoided it and retaliated with a kick of my own to its stomach and then its head.

"Is that it? I expected more of a challenge" I tilted my head.

Switch to M-Archer.

Pardon?

Kid, you need agility for this one. Notice that it doesn't have feet, which means it has to have some kind of way to balance itself. If you're agile enough you can easily get it off balance to finish it.

Oh don't start; I've done this without your help before and I can do it now.

I was thrown across the bushes while distracted.

Care to try again?

I sat up and faced the Krabe. My hand found its way to my belt, grabbing a key from the pouch and putting it into the slot on my belt.

Key #02: Sword Engaged!

The X-Sword formed itself in my hands. I charged forward, swinging the sword back and forth and missing several times. A single kick to the chest was all that took for it to knock me back.

"What is this thing made of? It's dodging all of my attacks!"

Does M-Archer sound like such a bad idea now?

Shut it.

I raise my sword above my head and charge. However, I instantly stop when a yellow figure jumps in and strikes the Krabe before jumping away. I follow the figure as they do.

It's another Rider.

Un-Freaking-Believable.

Well this is a new one.

And he's samurai-themed… that seems familiar…

"I am the embodiment of Lyoko's infinite power, so… from one being to another, what are your last words?" The Rider pointed at the Krabe.

"Interesting catchphrase. Thanks for the save, Kamen Rider Lyoko" I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Kamen Rider… Lyoko?"

Oh so you'll name him but not us?

How clever a name, Kid.

"Yes, Kamen Rider Lyoko. You're a Kamen Rider, right?"

"Y-yeah. Anyways, there's a tower in Lyoko, get to it" Lyoko told me.

I shook my head. "Sorry, but I'm getting rid of this guy, with or without your help"

"Fine then, you already got a few strikes in, let me take it from here!" Lyoko turned to the Krabe and ran towards it.

"Tch, what a meddlesome guy" I crossed my arms and watched the scene before me.

"Geo… aren't you going to help?" Monica asked.

Lyoko ducked under a swing from the Krabe and suddenly kicked it in the stomach. He spun around and planted his heel on its neck and dragged downwards, causing it to stumble back.

"I think he's got this" I nodded.

Monica sighed and resorted to watching as well.

Lyoko smashed his fist forward, striking the Krabe before reaching behind his back and pulling the katanas from their sheaths. He swung one of them around and caught it in its chest before stabbing with the other, burying it into its stomach.

Lyoko spun around and kicked again, lodging the blade further into its stomach so that it stuck out further.

Lyoko reached to his belt and pulled out a key-like device.

"It can't be" I freeze.

Lyoko inserted it into the center of his belt and opened it before typing in a code and closing it. He spun the two discs.

Break! The World's Limits!

Two waves of energy emerged and merged before impacting Lyoko. The energy disassembled and gathered around his foot and other sword.

Lyoko unleashed a devastating kick onto the sword in the stomach, sending it flying the rest of the way through. With a cry, he slashed with the other katana.

Facing away, he sheathed his katana as the Krabe exploded.

Lyoko faced X-Omega.

"You. Why are you still here? It's been made clear your assistance is needed in Lyoko"

"Really? I though my assistance was required by you. Kamen Rider Lyoko"

Kid you're going to start fighting a losing battle.

We can't help you with this one.

Lyoko walked over and grabbed his other katana, sheathing it.

"I don't know who you are, but trust me, I've dealt with tougher enemies then you when I was missing." I shrugged.

"You shouldn't underestimate me, I'm not as weak as I look"

"I'm not underestimating you. I'm telling you not to underestimate me" I turn around and take the object out of my belt and spun the disc. I walked away, my suit dissolving.

In an instant, a white wall of energy covered me.

I'm sitting down… and I'm with Odd and Aelita.

"Oh you're kidding me" I facepalm.

"Geo? What just happened?" Odd asked.

"Oh, May and I were able to deactivate the tower in Lyoko and Jeremy did a return to the past" Aelita said.

One table flip later…

"Geo, calm down" Odd urged.

"I am trying to do my best to get back to my own life! I am not trying to sit around while everything I care for changes!"

"Well to be honest whatever you're doing just makes you seem like an absolute jerk and you seem worse then before"

One punch to Odd's face later…

Aelita is now holding me back as I'm trying to charge at Odd.

"Geo! Stop it!" she managed to throw me onto the bed, several of my keys falling out of my pocket.

Getting up. I glared at her and kneeled down, beginning to pick up my keys.

Aelita, for some reason, kneeled down as well and picked up most of the keys too.

However, she stopped when picking up one. Pink energy moved from her hand into the key.

She dropped it accidentally, the key shining on the ground.

I picked it up and looked at it. The glow dissipated.

"I'm leaving." I gather the rest of the keys and walk out the door.

"What happened to him?" Odd asked.

"I… I don't know what to think about this kind of situation"

I walk down the hallway, leaving them behind.

"What… what's wrong with me?"
