Ana'a POV

When I wake it is to a calm and peaceful existence. The sunlight is peaking into our bedroom window. The babies are still sleeping. I take a deep breath and let it out, just enjoying the calm and quiet. It is already February, which means Christian is going back to work. I start to feel cold and realize that he is not in bed with me. He must've gotten up early to prepare for his first day back.

He has been so stressed out about going back to work. He's been yelling and cursing more than usual and losing his patience with everything. I've been able to calm him down and each time it's been immediately followed by an apology. I wish I could give him what he needs when he's like that, but the doctor said I need to wait another few weeks before we can have sex. Christian insists that he is fine with waiting, that having our miracles is worth the wait. But I know better. I know he needs it, because I do too.

After I get up, use the toilet, brush my teeth and wash my face, I proceed to put on my robe and slippers to prepare for when the babies wake. I feel him before I see and hear him. He's cursing again.

"Fuck! Ah, who moved that fucking thing? Ou!" I walk over to put my hands on him as he hobbles toward our bed. He stubbed his toe. I push him to sit down so that I can rub it for him, but he tries to shrug it off. "I'm fine, I'm fine."

"Just sit, and keep it down" I say softly as I push him down again. "The babies are sleeping."

He doesn't say anything as I remove his sock and examine his toe. I gently rub it for him and he groans in pain. I can't help but giggle at him. "Relax, you will be fine."

"Ana, it hurts" he starts to say, but then he stops when I plant a kiss on his toe and start to lick at it. I look up and see that he's closed his eyes, and then I put part of his toe in my mouth and suck. I watch and see that he's enjoying this. I'd like to do this to another part of his body. Before I can contemplate that any further I feel him reach down for me and pull me into his lap. He kisses my ear and then puts his nose in my hair. "Thank you Gorgeous. But I can't have you doing that when I can't reciprocate." I feel my cheeks redden. His uncanny way of hearing my unspoken words. He knew exactly what I was thinking about. "Don't be embarrassed."

"I'm not" I say as a tear drips down my cheek. He catches it with his finger and shoves it in his mouth. I can't help but giggle, and I'm awarded with his beautiful smile. "I just wish you'd let me give you what you need."

"All I need is you and our kids, Anastasia. Safe, healthy, happy and here with me. The sex can wait."

"I hate waiting." I bring my hand up and caress the side of his face. I expect him to lean into my touch, but instead he captures my hand in his and kisses it.

"I'll admit I don't like it either. But think about how great it will be when we can make love again. It will be worth it, I promise."

With that, he taps the side of my thigh and stands with me still in his arms. He gently places me on the ground and holds me to him. I love the smell of his body wash. I breath it in and hear him chuckle. "Smell something you like?"

I look up at him and smile. "You know I do." I gently slap his chest and leave his embrace to walk over to tend to our babies. Maddie is awake and moving around to break free of her swaddle. Christian brought up their bottles knowing that they were going to wake up soon. They have been on a good sleeping and eating schedule, and it helps that they are on the same schedule. "Is Natalie okay?"

"Yes, I got her dressed and she is having breakfast. Penny is keeping an eye on her. I should go and spend some time with her before I have to leave." He kisses me and gently swats my bottom before leaving the room.

Once the babies are changed, fed, burped and back to sleep, I put the baby monitor on and join my husband and baby girl in the kitchen. But I am met with an agitated Christian. Natalie is sitting at the breakfast bar eating what appears to be Cheerios and Christian is angrily moving around the kitchen. Penny is also rushing around and cleaning up a mess. Oh my

"What happened?" I ask gently.

"Daddy spiwwed Miwk" Natalie says, and as she says it she leans on the bowl and spills most of her cereal on the floor."

"Natalie" he groans angrily at the now bigger mess. I immediately put my hands on him and gently push him in the direction of the foyer. The milk got onto his shirt, tie and pants.

"It's okay, it's fine. No use crying over spilled milk" I try to joke. But he just glares at me. "Jeez, calm down. Go and change, Penny and I have got this."

"I've got this Mrs Grey" Penny says as she prepares a bucket to mop the floor. She's quick. She's already cleaned the floor of the spilled cereal and the table of the spilled milk. I try to help by moving Natalie's chair so that she is out of the way. I kiss her on the cheek once she is settled with the rest of her cereal.

"Hi Baby"

"Hi Mommy"

"What would you like, Mrs Grey?" Penny asks as she finishes mopping and puts the cleaning supplies away.

I sit at the breakfast bar next to Natalie and gently stroke her hair as she continues to eat. "Oh, some tea please and some oatmeal. Where's Gail?"

"Mrs Taylor is tending to Mr Taylor. She believes he's come down with the flu."

I start to understand why Christian was so agitated. He is probably more worried now about going to work because not only will we not have Taylor, we probably won't have Gail. Penny has become very reliable since working for us. She helps Gail with her daily household tasks and she was also here most weekends while Gail was off. Gail used to always have the weekends off, but since the babies were born she's made herself available every Saturday. Before that, Penny would work a few Saturdays so that Christian and I could just enjoy our weekend with the kids without worrying about cooking, cleaning and laundry. Penny has been wonderful with and without Gail being here. I think we are going to be just fine today, but a certain Fifty might not agree.

I look up and see Phoebe and Ava. I didn't even know she spent the night again. In any case, I'm happy to see her and I offer a smile. "Good morning girls. Have some breakfast before you leave."

"What would you like Miss Grey, and Miss Grey?" Penny already has the water boiling for my tea and my oatmeal prepared. She places the bowl in front of me and clears away Natalie's dishes since she's finished. Phoebe and Ava ask for pancakes, and Penny happily gets to work preparing the batter.

"Can I have a pancake?" Natalie asks sweetly.

"Of course you can, Baby." I stroke her hair again and she smiles at me.

I spend a few minutes catching up with the girls while their breakfast is being prepared. Phoebe has a busy day with school and volunteering at the hospital, and Ava will be working at Mia's store after school. I'm so proud of these girls. They are still so young but have become so responsible. Penny serves their pancakes just in time for Christian to make an appearance. "Good Morning, Dad" Phoebe says, and I notice that her voice sounds nervous as she takes in his agitated state as he battles with his tie. He must notice because he immediately calms and walks over to her.

"Good Morning Peanut." He kisses her cheek and also kisses Ava's. "Good Morning Ava."

"Good Morning Uncle Christian."

I cut up Natalie's pancake, but she is too focused on her father to notice. She reaches her arms out in his direction as he continues to struggle with this tie. "Daddy"

He looks over at her and abandons his tie again to pick her up. He hugs her tight and sways her back and forth for a few seconds. "Okay Sweet Pea. Remember what we talked about. You are a big sister now, but Mommy will still take care of you, too. I need you to help Mommy today by being a good girl. Can you do that for me?"

"Yes Daddy. I be good."

"Thanks Baby." He hugs her again and then sits her back down next to me. He walks away again and starts on his tie. Whenever he's upset or agitated about something he can't tie his tie, so I walk over to him and help him. He immediately lowers his hands to allow me access.

"Taylor's got the flu" he says in a low voice.

"I know, Penny said. You're worried."

"Yes, I'm worried." He runs his hand through his hair. I know he doesn't mean to snap at me so I just ignore the tone and continue on with this tie. "Are you going to be okay here? It's just going to be you and Penny."

I finish his tie and gently pat it. "Penny and I have it covered. We will be fine. You need to go to work, Mr Grey. No excuses." I smile at him but see that he is not placated. Oh this man! "Christian, when Teddy and Phoebe were babies I took them to work. I didn't have Gail to help me. Sawyer was there to protect us, but I provided the child care and ran a business. I can handle three babies at home with Penny here. I promise."

He shakes his head and rubs his hands on his face. "I have no doubt in your abilities, Mrs Grey. I just don't want you to take on too much. You need to rest too."

"I will. I promise. The babies will nap, Natalie will nap, and so will I. And you will go to work and be the amazing CEO, and then you will come home and be an even more amazing husband and father."

I look at his eyes and feel relieved that I'm starting to get to him. He relaxes and puts his hands on my hips. "If I'm amazing, Mrs Grey, it's because of you." As he says this, his lips are a centimeter away from mine, and then he kisses me gently.

Christian's POV

I know I need to go back to work. I've left Ros to run my business last November, so it's time to relieve her. I'm also going to offer her some extra time off once things settle down. Ros and her wife are both alike in that they live for their jobs. They are both workaholics and rarely ever take any time off. That's always been great for me for selfish reasons. She's the only one I trust to run things when I can't be here. So in addition to extra time off, I'm also going to throw in an all-inclusive paid vacation for her and her wife. She more than deserves it.

I walk into Grey House and it feels like I never left. Except Olivia seems extra excited to see me. I can't help but smile at her.

"Welcome back, Mr Grey."

"Thanks Olivia. Is Ros in yet?"

She nods and goes back to what she was doing. "She got in around six thirty." I roll my eyes. I am not surprised.

"Thank you." Barlow follows me to the elevator and we take it to the top floor. When I step off I am greeted by Andrea. She too is very excited to see me.

"Mr Grey! Welcome back. How are those babies?"

"Thank you Andrea. The babies are well." I take out the framed photo that I will add to my desk and show it to her. She smiles and coos as she looks at the photo that Ana and I took recently of our babies while we had them lying next to each other in their respective pink and blue footsy pajamas.

"They are beautiful, Mr Grey. And how is Mrs Grey?"

"She is also well, thank you. She loved the flowers that you sent. Is Ros in her office?"

"She is. She had an eight o'clock call but she should be finished soon."

"Thank you Andrea."

I make my way to my office and the first thing I do is sit in my chair. Everything is exactly the way I left it, as it should be. We have the building cleaned regularly but security keeps an eye on their every move. The next thing I do is look at the photo of my babies. My miracles. I still can't believe it. Even though they've been here for eight weeks it still surprises me that I can be this lucky. I place the photo next to the other ones I have on my desk. There's one of Teddy from his high school graduation, one of Phoebe from one of her dance competitions, one of Natalie when we had her professional two year old photos taken. I need to bring in her three year old photo.

And then there's one of my beautiful Ana, a photo I took of her while we were out on the Grace. I've called her twice to check on her and the babies. I can't help it. I need to call again. When I do I don't get an answer and I immediately worry. I call Collins to find out what is going on, and he tells me that Penny and Ana are changing the babies. I ask about Natalie and am told that she is sitting in the main room working on one of her puzzles. I tuck my blackberry away and let out a long sigh, long enough to hear my blackberry ping. I pull it out and see a text from Ana.

Get a grip, Grey. We are fine. I promise. Have a good day xxx

I let out another sigh. She's right. I need to get a grip. I know she and the babies are safe, I just worry about her pushing herself while she should be resting. I decide on a response that will have her smiling and blushing.

I will get a grip Baby, but not before the doctor allows it. You have a good day too my love xxx

I tuck my blackberry away and stand to greet Ros as she enters my office. "Mr Grey, welcome back." She walks behind my desk and I kiss her cheek.

"Thank you Ros. Ana and I loved the baby clothes that you and Val sent over."

"Oh it was our pleasure. Val and I couldn't resist. How is Ana feeling?"

"She's doing well. She did her rehab, and now she's back on her feet. When things settle down we'd like to continue to have dinner with you and Val every first Thursday."

When Ros and Val got married we started having a double date dinner with them once a month. Ros is the only person that I socialize with outside of the office, and she's the only GEH employee to call my wife by her first name. Before Ana I would have never done that with anyone. But Ros is practically a partner since she handles so much of my business. She has to be me when I'm not here, and she does it brilliantly.

We immediately get to work and she catches me up on everything that went on since last November. The business has become stronger if that's possible, and some of the projects that were started last fall were completed on time, some even earlier than expected. Some new projects that we planned out last year were started in January and she gave Ethan an opportunity to lead one of the projects. I don't doubt that Ethan will do well with that. His background as a television director has given him excellent leadership and organizational skills. The fact that he worked on a soap opera gives him even more of an edge since they are so fast paced.

Ros had scheduled meetings for one and three today to go over a new merger, so she leaves me to prepare for the meetings. I check in with Ana one last time before I have to bury myself in work.

"Hi Baby."

"Christian, you have got to stop calling. The babies are sleeping." She sounds angry. I can't help but smirk though. Ana is hot when she's angry. "Are you smirking?"

"Sorry, Baby. I can't help it. I miss you, and I worry."

I hear her sigh. "I miss you too. But please, don't worry. We've got things covered. Now get back to work. You have an empire to run."

Phoebe's POV

Today is a big day. Well, not for me, but for Danny. He's getting test results. We get to find out if he still has leukemia or if he's in remission. When I started volunteering I had no idea how emotionally attached I would be. But then Brooke introduced me to Danny, and ever since then I've spent so much time with him while his parents took breaks to eat, shower or just took care of things they couldn't do while they are here with him. I've gotten to know this kid. I know what he likes and doesn't like. I've sat with him a few times while he was receiving chemo treatments. He's drawn pictures and read books with me. I'm supposed to help lift his spirits, but he's often cheered me up with his spirit. He's shown so much strength and courage while battling this disease. I love him like he's my little brother, and I just really hope that he gets good news today.

I see Brooke and she motions for me to come with her. I guess it's time. I let out a gulp as I follow her. I'm so nervous. I start to think that maybe it's not a good idea for me to be in the room while Danny and his parents get the results. I may just fall apart if it's bad news. Brooke turns to face me and grows a concerned look. "Phoebe, are you alright?"

"I don't know if I can do this" I say to her sheepishly. She reaches out and places her hand on my shoulder.

"Yes you can. That little boy in there needs you. You've been there for him during this fight and he needs you to be there for him now. Pull yourself together."

And I know it's an order. I take a deep breath and let it out before I follow her into the room. I see Danny's parents first, and I immediately look away. I can't look at them. I might just break down before they get to read the results. I then chance a look at Danny. He is smiling at me. "Phoebe, come sit here." He invites me to sit with him on the bed. His voice is very cheery, like he's not about to hear his fate. How this kid can keep his spirits up during the worst of times I'll never know, but I decide to draw my strength from him. He's smiling, so I am able to return the smile as I walk over and sit right next to him on the bed so that I can put my arm around him. He hugs me and then leaves go to wait for Brooke.

"Are you ready?" she asks. Everyone nods and she gets on with it. She has the paperwork with her, but I'm sure she reviewed it before she came in here. Otherwise she would not be as prepared as she is to deliver the news. She goes over the results from his scans and lets us know that Danny is in remission. She emphasizes that there is no trace of leukemia. I look at Danny's parents and they are crying. Danny has a big smile on his face. I wrap my arms around him and squeeze. I can't believe it. What this kid had to go through with blood transfusions, chemo treatments, hair loss, fevers, nausea, vomiting, infections, and now here we are. He did it. I leave go of him and he goes to hug Brooke. I notice that she has tears in her eyes, as do I.

Christian's POV

I know I'm getting on Ana's nerves by checking in, but I do it a few more times. I check in before my one o'clock meeting and then again right before my three o'clock. When four o'clock comes it is time for me to leave. What a relief. I like being back at work, after all it is my business. But I'd much rather be home with Ana. But before I can leave Barlow rushes in with a message from Reynolds.

"What is it? Is Teddy okay?"

"It's Rebecca, Sir. She's missing."
