Drabble 6:

"Mano, did you hear the lovebirds fightin'?"

"Buck, there may even be people in Tucson who heard them, but I pretended to not have when I spoke with Victoria. Sadly, I don't think it helped."

"Well, John took off. Looked like he's headin' out to the range to steam a bit before makin' his rounds."

"Whew! It is quite a good day for that."

"Well, I's thinkin' we should talk some sense to my big brother."

"Ooh, I don't know, amigo-"

"Come on! What's family for?" asked Buck, climbing on Rebel.

Manolito, mounting Mackadoo, mumbled, "Perhaps staying out of it?"

Author's Note: Many thanks to wotwasithinkin for another good review on this story. I really appreciate the feedback!

In response to the review comment, it's a bit tough getting each scene to work in exactly 100 words, but it's fun, too. I've reworked several chapters, some multiple times, because one or two words just didn't seem right. Hopefully, what's being published makes sense and seems to be in character for the various players. In addition, I generally read the stories using the speech patterns and accents for the different characters to get it as close as possible.

Thanks again to everyone for reading. I hope you'll take a moment to leave a brief review to let me know what you think of the story, too. Thanks!
