Well long time no see! I'm kinda back but not officially. It has been how many years?... like 5 or 4. Wow, that is a long time. I wasn't expecting to update or continue this story at all. There were a few reasons. One, I got the whole age thing wrong with Kyoko. Two, my writing has matured since I started this fanfiction in high school. I'm now towards the end of my college years. Third, I wish I portrayed Saena Mogami differently. Even though I feel this way about this story, I recently looked as some reviews and you all should thank MRMenaMRM. This person's review got me excited again about this story. There will be some changes in how I'm going to develop the plot. Stay tuned. I can't really guarantee that I will continue to update, so savor this update. Happy readings and of course review. I'll need your support.
Here a quick summary for those of you who can't remember a thing
Kyoko was going to be taken away from her mother. Kyoko goes to Ren. Ren suggest they get married so she can stay in Tokyo. We find out Saena only wanted Kyoko for her money. Ren "buys" Kyoko from Saena. Saena says she'll be back if this marriage is a sham. Kyoko and Ren are ultimately forced to live together. They experience some fun things like tampon runs, etc. Kyoko feeling so guilty about the whole money things gets multiple jobs to start paying back Ren. This decision drives Kyoko into exhaustion and she ultimately passes out on set. She is taken to the hospital. Ren finds out and rushes into her hospital room and makes a scene by saying Kyoko is his wife. So chaos ensues and to add the cherry on top Hikaru calls Lory, who is in the hospital room with our couple, and Ren finds out Kyoko is Bo.
This brings us to the current chapter.
Also there are probably grammatical errors since I wrote this in a day.
Chapter 7- Feathers, Romance and Everything Nice
The teenage girl picked up the magazine off the stand in a small convenient store. She chewed her gum lazily. She placed it back on the rack; she scanned the rest of the stand. She gasped as she looked at the headline.
"No. He can't be!" Her friend with short black hair looked over at the glossy magazine. Her dark eyes became wide as she looked at the large headlines.
"Tsuruga Ren is married!?" She nearly choked on her strawberry bubblegum. She grabbed the magazine out of her friend's hands.
"This is impossible. The number one bachelor has a wife!"
"Open to the article." The girls crowded around the flimsy magazine.
An actress with long raven hair listened attentively. Kanae hand froze as she was about to grab a mineral water. Maybe it was one of those crazy tabloid magazines that always gets it wrong, she thought.
"Look, another magazine has a similar headline. This has to be serious. It sounds like he rushed into his wife's hospital room without any disguises. Well that is a little reckless for Tsuruga Ren who always seems so composed. He must be in love with her. This is so romantic" The two schoolgirls sighed.
"I'm a little sad that he is married though. I'm happy for him. I wonder who the lucky girl is. Look at how he's shielding her from the cameras. How heroic, it's almost like a drama. I'm so jealous." The short haired girl fantasized.
" When I think about it I'm a little jealous too. I knew this day would happen though. This mystery wife can't be hidden for long. They have a few pictures I think that can figure who she is by her hair. It's only a matter of time, his company can't keep all the hospital staff quiet."
Kanae became more alarmed as she listened. Kyoko would tell me if she was married , Right? She considers me her bestest and dearest friend. I would have known if she went to the hospital, right? I wouldn't be left out?
Kanae wanted to look at the magazines but her pride kept her planted near the drinks. She watched and waited for the girls to leave. She wrapped her scarf around her face and looked at the magazines.
"No." she exclaimed as she dropped the magazine. She knew exactly who his wife was. Kyoko had some explaining to do.
He looked at his sleeping wife and put his hand on her forehead. Her fever wasn't as high. He looked out of the window and sighed. They were now home but it had been an exhausting 48 hours to say the least. Not only was he worried sick, the paparazzi were on a rampage and the big reveal of Bo only pushed it over the edge. Even though he was a little upset that she was Bo, he could forgive her. He looked at Kyoko with tenderness. We still have to talk about this, it'll be okay. His mind turned to the events that happened in the past 48 hours.
Kyoko began to panic.
'I-I can explain. I wanted- you looked so distraught and" Kyoko's eyes began to water", I know it was wrong but. I just wanted to help."
Ren was unsure what to feel. He told so many things to that damn roster. He felt a little betrayed. He scowled. He felt betrayed but most of all embarrassed. He told her he was in love with her and she didn't even know! Maybe she knows? Ren felt slight panic. He stopped himself as he thought it through logically. Kyoko would have acted different around me if she knew.
Kyoko looked at him. She had a light headache and felt hot. The guilt began to sink in deeper as Ren became silent and wore a scowl on his face. She shouldn't have tried to deceive him. Kyoko reached to grab his hand but was interrupted.
"Mogami-san, don't feel sad or guilty about whatever this is. You need to rest we can't have you emotionally exhausted too can we? Lay back down. Ren come with me." Lory looked at Ren and put his cell phone back in his robes.
"Yashiro stay with Kyoko make sure she calms down and get her to rest." Yashiro nodded. Ren followed Lory
"I already asked for a room to be prepared for us to speak privately. Here's a baseball cap." Ren put in on his head.
"Great, follow me. We have a lot to discuss." Ren obeyed him and followed him down the tile hallway. His mind wandered back to the new revelation that happened moments ago. She is Bo. What am I going to do? , He thought. Ren snapped out of his thoughts as Lory opened the door to a room.
Lory sat down and motioned for Ren to sit in the oak chair.
" Well it's been a crazy 40 minutes. You have to make a few decisions if you are going to face this media frenzy. I can help but we can only keep her hidden for so long. What are we going to do when Kyoko's name gets out? Are you going to confirm or deny the rumors? Are you going to ignore it? What about Mogami, what will she say to paparazzi? There are many things you need to decide."
Ren mind was spinning with the questions and reality sunk in.
"I'm not sure. This marriage is fake. I don't want Kyoko's name to be out in the media. She'll get eaten alive and she'll forever be known as my wife. I don't know if she wanted to become famous like this I feel horrible when I think about it. I should have been more cautious. "
" Don't feel to guilty, love makes the calmest act stupid and carelessly. It sounds like you want to protect her. We'll try to fight the paparazzi then. So does that mean you want to deny that you are married?"
"I think it would be the best for Kyoko." He looked at the President with a pained look.
"I agree. With that being said, I'll schedule an interview for you after you are divorced? "Ren cringed at the word divorced, it meant separated, cut off.
"I'll do the interview at that time. Things should settle down."
"I also think you should take a break from all you project for the next few weeks till after Christmas? The paparazzi are going to be like wolves. I think it would be best to stay at home. I also think this would be best for Kyoko. "
"But President-" Ren thought about his work, He couldn't put the all his projects on hold.
"I will take care of it. You will return to work in a few week times. I don't think you've ever had vacation since you've been in Japan. It's time, plus it will give me a chance to do damage control. It will also give you time to discusses these things with Mogami." Ren wanted to protest but he knew he couldn't win against the president.
"Also Ren, I'll give you some advice. Make sure you talk to Mogami about the whole Bo thing. I don't know the story but don't ignore her or try to avoid the situation. You have to talk about it. Kyoko will only beat herself up if you ignore her or treat her coldly. "Ren listened intently. He was right.
" I understand. It'll be resolved" Ren gave Lory a look of determination
"Great. Don't worry too much about work. They won't get rid of you because you aren't working for a few weeks. You are one of Japan's top actors remember? Also, don't do anything to Kyoko that you wouldn't do in public. Good luck." The president gave him a mischievous look. Tsuruga Ren rolled his eyes.
The next few weeks would definitely test his control. Let the Gods be in his favor. Oh please dear Lord let it be in his favor.
