Laryngitis?

Chapter three: Conversation with Unohana

Toshiro groaned as he shifted in his sleep. His eyes finally fluttered open after another minute or two. His eyes slowly took in the room he was in. He suddenly shot up right in bed, realizing it wasn't his room.

The captain of the tenth heard some noise next to him and looked to his left. He saw a small machine with hose like thing. He followed it until he couldn't see it anymore, realizing it led to something on his face.

He lifted one of his hands up and touched his face. He found a mask over his mouth. He slowly took the object off, gazing around the room.

"Ah, I see you're finally awake, Hitsugaya-taicho. " a woman said off to his right. He turned his head and found the captain of the fourth division sitting near him on the floor.

"Uno—" He started before he began coughing.

"Please, don't strain yourself, Hitsugaya-taicho. You're in my room." The woman said to him as she stood up, walking over to him and placing the oxygen mask back on his face for the moment.

Toshiro looked at her with a face of confusion, remembering he had laryngitis and shouldn't speak "You couldn't breathe last night. Matsumoto-san was worried and brought you to me. It just so happens I was in my room at the time. We put you in my bed and assisted you." Unohana explained kindly.

Toshiro looked down at the blanket of the futon he was in, gripping the blanket tightly in his hands. 'Seriously. How pathetic can I get?' He asked himself.

'This is not your fault, master. It is the illness' fault.' Hyorinmaru explained. His master ignored him.

"Are you feeling any better?" Unohana finally asked. Toshiro shrugged his shoulders in response, about to take off the mask on his face.

"Please leave the mask for now. You may remove it when Mataumoto comes to get you." The fourth division captain asked nicely. Toshiro gave her another look of confusion, letting his hand drop back to his side.

"I am not allowing you to walk back to your own division on your own. We don't want you to have another coughing fit." She explained, turning to leave.

"I must attend to my duties. Stay here and sleep, Hitsugaya-taicho, until Matsumoto-san or myself comes back." She said as she closed the door. Toshiro sighed as he flipped back down onto his back on the futon. A short while later, he fell asleep.

Hmm... It's short. Sigh... Sorry about that. A short update is better than none though, I suppose. Sorry.
