Hey guys, just a heads up. This chapter and a few in the future will be graphic compared to other chapters. Don't worry, nothing to gory just need to warn you.
The hooded figure held Ash's hand right before he punched Natsu. Ash looks at him with a scowl on his face. "You can't save them you know." Ash's says in his demonic voice.
"And this is coming from you, who just got his powers the other day?" The hooded figure said. It sounded like a male's voice. The figure twists Ash's wrist. He then punches Ash in the gut. Ash lets go of Natsu and puts his hands on his stomach.
The figure takes Natsu and speeds across the other side like Racer's ability. He charges back to Ash. He is behind Ash and puts his fingers on Ash's forehead. Ash elbows the figure, and then turns and faces him. Ash then does a fire uppercut but the figure blocks with fire.
"How did he…?" Natsu started. The figure then punches the ground with his right fist. "Transformation! Rock arm!" He chants. The earth then starts changing and covers his entire right arm with rock. Everybody watches in amazement.
Ash makes a serious face and requips a sword with a black blade. He charges at the figure. The figure places his right arm in front of him as Ash sliced toward him. The figure then bashes Ash, sending him flying. Ash hits a tree. The figure then hammer fists the ground and creates a shockwave toward Ash.
Ash sees this coming and then once it reaches him he jumps in the air. The shockwave gave him a dramatic boast and then he starts hovering. He makes a circle with his fingers and then a dark ball appears.
"Be careful, he's using shadow ball!" Serena shouts. The figure ignores her. Ash then grips the dark ball in one hand and chants "Eternal Darkness!" Ash then throws it. The figure turns his rock arm back to his regular arm.
"Everyone get back!" He shouts. He then swipes his arms and everyone gets pushed back about 15 feet. The dark ball hits the figure and then just darkness surrounds him. Ash charges into the darkness.
"What was that?" Wendy asks. "I don't know, but I can't smell either of them." Natsu says sniffing the air. "Lets go in there after them." Clemont says.
"No." Makarov says. "That man in the cloak knows what is in there, while we do not. We could die right as we enter it. We just have to wait for-" He is cut off by the figure being launched out of the darkness into a tree. He groans as he gets back up.
The darkness disappears and everyone sees Ash, still holding the black blade. "Why do you hide behind that hood," Ash says as he throws a fireball at the figures cloak. The cloak catches on fire and burns up quick and reveals the figures face. "King Mitchell?" It was Mitchell. Only he didn't have a smile like when Erza and Serena met him or the worried look when he took Ash back to the mansion. This look on his face was pure anger.
"Mitchell!?" Everyone in the guild screams. They all just stare in awe as they see Mitchell and Ash having a standoff. "Did Ash just say 'King Mitchell'?" Freed asked.
"I'll explain later, right now just let me deal with Ash. I promise he will be back to normal." Mitchell says. "We're not running away until you tell us what's going on." Freed says. Mitchell gives him a glare and Freed flinches. "Fine, if you guys won't leave, I'll make you." He then puts his hands together and chants something.
After he is done chanting, everyone nearby get blown away about 100 yards from where Ash and Mitchell are standing. When they try to run back a rune was put up. "Damn!" Natsu says.
"Like I said, you can't protect them. Now do me a favor, and die!" Ash says and he charges at Mitchell with the blade in his hand. He then thrusts it at Mitchell trying to stab him. Smoke filled the area and there is no movement from anyone.
"That's going to leave a bruise." A voice says. When the smoke clears, Ash has a stunned look on his face. "But hey, it beats being impaled." Mitchell says. The sword was blocked because Mitchell stole the sheath from Ash and put it on the blade when he was about to get stabbed.
"Now, what was that about me dying?" Mitchell says. He lifts the sheathed sword and palm strikes Ash in the chest sending him flying. Ash stops himself from hitting a tree and charges at Mitchell again.
Mitchell grabs Ash's fist he was about to be punched with. He then slams Ash to the ground. "Mitchell, don't hurt him!" Serena screams. "You hurt him I'm going to kick your ass!" Natsu screams.
Mitchell gets launched towards them. He lands on his head and crosses his arms. "Would you rather have him destroy everything in a 5 mile radius?" He says upside down. "No." They say.
"Then let me handle this." He then goes into the ground. Ash comes right next to the shadow where Mitchell went. "Where is he?" He says. He then looks at the group crowding around.
"Guess I'll just kill you guys. That will draw him out of his hiding hole." He says evilly. He takes one step and then Mitchell comes out of the shadow and uppercuts Ash. Ash is sent flying up. Mitchell then teleports to the height where Ash is, and then punches his gut.
He then Teleports to the ground again and kicks Ash into a tree. When Ash hits the tree, Mitchell pins him. "Alright Ash, just stay calm and this will all be over soon." Mitchell was about to place his fingers on Ash's forehead when Ash starts twitching.
"Uh oh" Mitchell says. Ash slowly looks up and looks Mitchell straight in the eye. "Demonic Transformation: Vampiric Aura." Ash chants. A power starts surging through Ash.
"Ash, you don't want to do this." Mitchell warns. Ash ignores him and then palm strikes him in the gut. Mitchell gets sent flying. Dark clouds start forming. Ash grabs Mitchell's neck, who seemed to be unconscious.
"Vampiric Aura: Life steal" Ash says evilly. Mitchell's face starts to lose its color. Ash starts laughing again. All of a sudden the laughing stops. Everyone looks at Ash's arm. A huge knife is sticking in it.
The knife, that Erza and Serena saw at the store that said 'Decoration Only.' Mitchell's hand was on the grip and he struck it through Ash's arm. Mitchell's face started getting its color back. Ash froze in place with a surprised look. He looked at Mitchell.
Mitchell looked back, his eye red now. Anger is all his face shows. "You shouldn't have done that Ash." Mitchell removes the knife, kicks Ash in the gut and lands on one knee. Ash's stab wound is already healed. Mitchell gets up griping the knife as hard as he can.
Ash requips into the black sword he was using. They charge at each other with their blades in front of them. Ash does an overhead swing which Mitchell blocks. Mitchell tries to do multiple stabs but Ash jumps out of the way. Ash lands Behind him and kicks his back.
Mitchell lands on all fours, turns around, and launches at Ash. Ash parries it and then slices at Mitchell, leaving a cut across his chest. Mitchell groans and stops in his place.
"Sacrifice: Speed" Mitchell chants. He then turns the blade to himself, and stabs himself. "Whoa, that's brutal!" Gajeel says. Mitchell takes the knife out and regains his balance. He looks at Ash with a smile.
Mitchell then charges at Ash and starts swiping his knife so fast that it is hard to keep track of. Ash gets paralyzed with cuts. Mitchell stands in front of Ash, getting ready to stab him through the chest "Repel Stab!" Mitchell chants as he strikes the knife through Ash's chest.
Ash kneels down, and falls over. Mitchell removes the knife, kneels down, places his hand on Ash's chest, and a green light appears. He is healing Ash. After the wounds are gone, Mitchell stands up and starts breathing heavily. Mitchell's red eyes then go back to his blue eyes, and the rune is put down.
Most of the guild was pressing against the rune to try to get a closer look so they fall over when it disappears. Mitchell is still huffing. He then turns toward the guild, who were starting to creep up on them. "Okay, now no one freak out about what hap-" He is punched in the face by Natsu's Fire Dragon Iron Fist.
Natsu places his shoe on his chest. "You got a lot of explain to do buddy. Start talking!" Natsu threatens. "I would if you would get off of me." Mitchell says. Natsu looks at Makarov. He nods so Natsu lets him up.
"Alright, first let me take Ash back to my shop, my sister will tell you guys everything." He says still looking weary. "We're not letting you take Ash anywhere without an explanation right now." Makarov says.
"Look, like I said, my sister will explain when we get to our store. Please, let me take Ash so I can heal him some more. I don't want to hurt him anymore than I have to." Mitchell says. His voice sounds sincere.
"Very well. If we find out you are lying however, we will hunt you down, and destroy you." Makarov threatens. Mitchell nods and picks up Ash and starts leading the guild to his store.
20 minutes later: Everyone is looking around the store at the many weapons. Alzack and Bisca are looking at the guns of course. Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Erza, Natsu, Gray, and Wendy are crowding around the Knife Mitchell used. It was back in the case and looks as if it was never used. The sign was still up.
"I still can't believe that this knife was used to defeat Ash." Serena said. They all just keep staring at it. A door opens and everyone looks at who came in. It was Luna.
"Hello everyone, I'm Luna. Mitchell's older sister." She explains. "If you come with me, there will be more space where we can all sit." The guild follows her into the room where Mitchell and Luna sleep. Again, it looked a lot bigger.
"Alright, what did Mitchell tell you guys?" She asked as everyone took a seat. "Nothing. We're in the dark here." Makarov says. Luna face palms and sighs. "Alright, just ask me a question and I'll answer it." The whole guild just starts asking questions so much that She can't understand a single word.
Luna gets a tick mark "Alright! Everyone sit down and shut up! For crying out loud, ask your questions one at a time!" Luna screams. Everyone, even Erza, gets scared and sits down.
"Now then, Natsu, what is your question?" Luna asks. "How was Ash able to do more than one magic? We saw him summon demons, use fire, requip a sword, and use speed." Natsu explains.
"You're not going to like this but…" She gulps "He is using the same Magic me and Mitchell use: Demon Magic." She says. "Demon magic, what's that?" Wendy asks.
"It's like a combination of other magic. That's why you saw Ash and Mitchell do different ones. However, the main magic we use is Demonic ones. Ash used Vampiric Aura, meaning he almost had the same power that of a vampire." Luna explains.
"Demonic transformation is what he used to get Vampiric Aura. Demonic transformation is changing oneself into a demon form or demon like. There are many other too but too many to count so I'll explain them some other time."
"Since he can use more Magic, isn't that a bit over powered?" Gray asked. "Actually no." Luna says. The guild gets surprised by this "Why not?" They all asked at once.
"Because, the more you use other magic, the more magic power it takes to control it in a battle. Since both Ash and my brother used a lot of different magic, they are almost completely exhausted. I'm surprised Mitchell had the strength to carry him here. Once he had Ash on a chair, he nearly passed out." Luna said.
"Any other questions?" "What was with Ash's red eyes?" Clemont asked. "Yeah and Mitchell's too." Serena said. Luna gulps again. "That was there inner demon taking over." Luna said grimly. "That's why Ash had that demonic voice, because the demon was taking over."
"But how come Mitchell's voice didn't turn demonic?" Bonnie asked. "That's because Mitchell was controlling his demon." Luna explains.
"I thought you said red eyes mean he was losing control?" Cana said. The entire guild starts to stir and murmur a bit. "Let me explain. It's basically like a dog on a leash." Luna said.
"The person holding the leash represents the person themselves. The dog is the demon, and the leash is like the controlling part. Ash let go of his dogs leash so it started to go crazy. That's why Ash had demonic eyes and voice." Luna explains. "Mitchell, however, just let the leash loose a little bit. So he was still controlling his demon/dog, while using its power."
The entire guild starts to understand. "Any more questions?" Luna asked again. "I do. How did Ash get demon magic?" Serena asked. The entire guild starts to murmur again. "Ah hell, I was hoping to spare you guys with this until Mitchell got done with Ash." Luna says.
"That building you guys were in, Mitchell and I know it." She says looking at the ground. "I thought he was acting weird when we got there, he even said it felt familiar." Erza said. "How do you guys know it?" Carla asked. Luna stiffens a little bit.
"Well? Come on out with it." Makarov said. There is a long silence. "It's the place where Mitchell and I grew up. It is also the place where we got our Magic." She says quietly. There is a long silence again.
"I'll tell you guys the story later. It brings back to many horrible memories." Luna says as she starts to cry. "It's okay. You don't have to tell us right now." Lucy says. Everyone nods in agreement.
"Thanks." Luna says wiping her tears from her eyes. "When will Ash come out?" Clemont asked. "When Mitchell is done asking him questions. Until then, we wait." Luna said. So everyone waits and waits for Mitchell and Ash to come out.
