PREVIEWS
So I was on this kick where I thought it would be fun to take the basic ideas and phrases I will be using in the next chapters and put them out there, no context, nothing, just so you guys can sit and wonder how on God's green earth I will be contextualizing the scenario. 6th chapter to be up by Friday!
NOTE: I have begun base preps for a more solid long con story line. Just so we all know.

She was attempting to fit a stapler sized piece of baklava in her mouth at the moment. Of course that's how he found her.

She tried to be as inconspicuous as possible. Using the minute stirring straw from her coffee mug, she extracted a few drops from her adjacent champagne glass. Lifting just high enough to clear the rim of the glass she released her thumb from the end of the straw, the liquid hitting its mark. From there it was simply a matter of wiping away the evidence.
She felt him behind her before she heard or saw him. "Does your laziness know no bounds?" She turned with fierce eyes, making sure she locked onto his blue irises as she lowered her voice to match his decibel. "None." It took everything in her not to smile.

"Is that… is that a porcupine?"
"Does it really matter at this point?"

"I've been water boarded, I'm sure I can handle dinner with your parents."
"You poor unsuspecting fool," she looked him right in the eye, never straying from his gaze. "What kind of people do you think had to come together to make me?"
He froze on spot, eyes looking as if they were attempting to break the line of sight but were physically incapable of doing so.
"It's too late to turn back isn't it?"
"One day you will listen to me the first time… one day."
-LINEBREAK-
"So, just to be clear- you were dying, life slowly draining out of you, blood covering the area and you called- not M or a med evac or your god damn lawyer- you called me? And asked about holiday with my overbearing parents?"
"Some people would find that a compliment."
"You're an asshole you know that?"
-LINEBREAK-
He lifted the bags over his head as if they would somehow protect him from the never ending heat of her glare. He approached with caution, as one would a wounded animal. Her eyes looked rimmed with fire, the firm set of her mouth never faltering. His last hope seemed to be pork shu mi and a shit load of alcohol.
"Still mad I presume."
"Don't make me tell you where to shove those dumplings."
"They're pork filled. I bribed the chef for that sauce you like."
The silence weighed on them. Her eyes did not stray for a total of 15 seconds.
"I recount my statement."
"Which one?" He was cautions, he knew her to well.
"You will be doing none of the shoving in regards to the dumpling."
"Does that indicate you-"
"There's a whole bag of food I can choose from. It's not as if I don't have options." He sighed, eyes sliding shut while fighting the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose.
It was going to be a long night.
