Wendy had to work overtime with her healing magic. Not only did the entire guild need assistance but they needed it in a way where it nearly drained all of her energy on one person. "Why is it taking so much of my energy to heal everyone?"
"You should rest child. There's no need to strain yourself." Carla said. "But I want to help them out." Wendy said back to her. Luna, who was in the room helping out some of the wounded too, put her hand on Wendy's head.
"It's because demons not only strike you physically, they can drain some of your magic power as well. Kano was a master at draining power." Luna explains. Wendy nods and gets back up but Luna pushes her to sit back down. "Rest. We can switch off when we do too much."
"But you fought too. I-" Luna shakes her head. "I still have a lot of magic power left while you are nearly out. I can handle this." She says smiling.
"If you have a lot of power left, why couldn't you help out Ash and his friends?" Gray, who was the one getting healed at the time, asked. Luna turns around and gets an evil smile on her face. "Ya know I can choose not to heal you up Gray." She says.
Gray looks at the ground and says "Sorry." really quickly. "By the way, where is Mitchell? Shouldn't he be helping you?" Carla asked. Luna's expression changed into a dark and gloomy one.
"He…needs more rest. Right now he is with Ash and they're trying to recover together. He can't focus on healing a lot of people so he's using his power to help Ash." Luna explains.
"Shouldn't Ash be recovering with his friends?" Gray asked. Luna nods and says "He's letting them visit as he heals him. So I think we're good. Anyway, let's get you healed up." She says. "However, in order to heal you quickly, you'll need to endure some more pain. But afterword's you'll feel great." She says with a smile.
Gray smiles and says "I've endured Erza multiple times. I think I can handle this." Luna smiles and says "Okay then, get ready." She says. Outside, everyone hears Gray screaming and gets sweat drops.
Meanwhile with Ash and his friends and Mitchell, they were in a lone bedroom with only two beds. Ash's friends were crowding around his bed while Mitchell was preparing something.
"Ash, you feeling alright?" Clemont asked. Ash Nods his head. "Yeah, I'm feeling better that Mitchell's been helping out."
"No problem Ash. The potion's done by the way." Mitchell responds. He gets up and starts walking with the cup in his hand. However, He felt a twitch of pain and grabbed his shoulder and fell to the ground.
"Mitchell!" Everyone said. Serena and Clemont run to his side and help him up. "Are you okay?" Serena asked. Mitchell nods his head. "Just… the pain got in to me. I'm fine. Luckily I made extra potion." He gets up and goes to the tray where he made the potion and pours another glass. Ash is the only one who notices that Mitchell's hands are shaking. And he has a black mark going down his arm.
"Mitchell, what's that on your arm?" Ash asked. Mitchell flashed his arm a quick look and pulled down his sleeve before Clemont, Bonnie, and Serena noticed he did it. "What mark?" He asked.
Clemont, Bonnie, and Serena Looked at Mitchell's arms then looked at Ash. "Are you feeling okay Ash?" Bonnie asked. Ash looked at Mitchell. Was he imagining it? He shakes it off and then says "I'm just tired. Kano took a lot out of me."
"Yeah, I'm surprised you had enough energy to wake up everyone in the guild. Then again you did pass out afterword." Clemont said. Ash punches him in the arm.
"All right Ash, think you got enough stamina to start standing again?" Mitchell asked. Ash nods his head and turns to get off the bed. Clemont and Mitchell grab his shoulders and lift him up.
"Okay Ash, ready?" They asked. He nods his head and they set him down. His legs wobble a little but he gets his balance. "How come his legs are wobbling, Kano didn't even hit him around the legs." Clemont asked.
"Demons can take magic power if they strike you and Kano is one of the best. When me and Luna fought him with our dad, he nearly took all of our magic power. Luckily dad stopped him right in time." Mitchell explained. "So when your magic power is depleted, you lose a lot of energy. If you exceed your magic power you can suffer horrible consequences. Death, even." He says on a grim note.
"But he stopped right in time so now he just needs some rest and to get used to working with exhaustion." Mitchell said. "Anyway, try to walk Ash." He tells Ash. Ash nods and try's to put one leg in front of the other. He walks about two steps until he falls down.
"Good thing I landed in something soft." Ash says muffled. He pushes up and then sees what he landed on. Or, more specifically, who he landed on. He was on top of Serena, who was blushing very red. He then looked down to see what he landed on. Serena's breasts.
Ash blushes too and then looks around to see Mitchell and Clemont who had shocked looks on their faces but could tell they were trying to hide laughter and Bonnie who was literally rolling on the floor laughing.
"Uh… sorry Serena." Ash says getting off of her. "It…It's okay." She says. They were both blushing still. Serena gets off the floor and Ash gets some help form Clemont.
"Well, after that awkward moment, I think I might go see how everyone else is checking up." Mitchell says he opens the door and everyone hears Gray screaming. Mitchell closes the door and says "On second thought, I think I might just make a potion down here."
"Why was Gray screaming?" Serena asked with a hint of worry in her voice. "I think my sister is operating." Mitchell says. Everyone looks at each other and back at Mitchell. "Is she…?"
"She tends to operate differently with her healing magic. She has to hurt a little bit more to heal you. You can suck up and deal with that or be healed slower. Personally I prefer to be healed faster. Trust me Gray's going to feel full of energy." Mitchell explains.
"So if Wendy used her magic then no one will have as much energy if they were healed by Luna?" Clemont asked. "Basically put, yes."
Back upstairs: Gray walks out of the door and waves goodbye to Luna and Wendy. "Man, I feel great!" Gray said to everyone. "Why were you screaming?" Lisanna asked.
"Luna has a weird healing magic where it hurts at first but slowly you get better. And it's faster than Wendy's magic. But when they combined their magic together, it made me feel like new!" Gray explains.
Everyone gets excited and not so excited when they are up. After about 15 minutes, everyone in the guild is rested up and ready to go. Ash and his friends come up to see everyone is lively again.
"Well everyone seems to be good." Bonnie says. Wendy comes up to her and says "yeah, me and Luna combined our magic, now everyone feels good as new." Bonnie tilts her head to the side. "Shouldn't you be out of magic power then?" She asked.
Wendy shakes her head. "Usually yes, but Luna gave me some of her magic power and I feel great." For the rest of the day, everyone in the guild partied, and relaxed. Luna and Mitchell went upstairs into a room to do something.
Makarov was watching T.V. when he saw something. "Everyone! Come here." He calls to everyone. They gather around and watch what he wanted.
"Good evening everyone I am Blake from channel 10 and I have some good news. Wizards, Jobs are now available. However, we noticed that guilds and the people in them have been scattered and as a result, jobs are now posted in major cities and towns. Gyms are also going to be back up."
The rest of the news is drowned out by the guild cheering. Ash and his friends are happy too. "Hang on. Mitchell and Luna don't know about this. I'll go tell them." Ash said. His friends wave to him and then he heads upstairs.
Ash sees an open door and then hears voices come from in it. "Mitchell, Luna, did you guys hear the new…" He sees that Mitchell has his wings out. And the huge gaping hole in one of them.
"Bastard, hitting my wings with that cursed sword." Mitchell said. He is shirtless and then Ash sees the mark he had. It's almost as if his veins are turning black. "Ash saw my mark. We need to do this now." Mitchell says to Luna.
"Agreed. Think you can handle it?" Luna asked. Mitchell nods and stretches his wing. "Hurry up!" Mitchell says. Luna summons a blade and grips it hard. She raises the sword, and tries to strike down Mitchell.
"WAIT!" Ash screams. Luna brought the blade halfway down and stopped. "Ash," Luna says. "What are you doing here?" She says fiercely "Why are you going to kill Mitchell?" Ash retorts back.
"LUNA DO IT! I CANT HOLD IT IN MUCH LONGER!" Mitchell says in a demonic voice. "Not until you tell me what happened!" Ash said. "Fuck! Training room, now!" Luna said.
She grabs Mitchell and starts running downstairs, Ash right beside her. "Luna, what's going on?" Ash said running down the stairs. They reach the training room and Luna opens the door. She lets Mitchell down in the middle of the floor. She then climbs up some stairs that Ash was surprised he never saw.
"Get in." Luna says opening a door. Ash gets into a room with a lot of switches and levers. Luna pulls a lever and a window pops up. Mitchell is twitching uncontrollably.
"Alright, you want to know what's going on?" Luna said. Ash nods his head. Luna points toward Mitchell. "That's what happens when you lose control of your humanity." Ash looks down at Mitchell.
His veins are black and he is still twitching. Ash is shocked. "What's going to happen?" Ash asked. "Just watch." Luna said. Ash turns his attention back to Mitchell. He stopped twitching.
However, he starts getting off the floor. He gets up, but is crouching very close to the ground. He is making weird growling noises. He stands up, and unleashes a loud roar. So loud, that it made the entire room shake. Luna starts pulling levers and Attack dummies start popping up.
"Why haven't we used this room before?" Ash asked. "We were planning on using it after a few more training sessions." Luna explains. Mitchell sees the attack dummies and charges at one of them. He grabbed it by the throat and then tore the stuffing out of it. He then starts ripping it to pieces. The stuffing goes everywhere.
There is banging on the door. Luna creates a lacrima to see who is there. The entire guild was crowded in the staircase. They must have heard the roar Mitchell let out.
"Guys, don't bang on the door, Mitchell might break through it." Luna says through the lacrima. Makarov looks at Luna. "Wait, you mean he…" Luna nods. Makarov motions the guild to back up.
"What's going on?" "Is Mitchell okay?" "Where's Ash and Luna?" The entire guild was asking questions. Luna makes the lacrima larger and the guild sees.
"Oh my god." Levy says. They see Mitchell has gone insane. He attacks the rest of the dummies. He tears stuffing out of everything. His demon side has taken over everything. His appearance even looks more animalistic.
He then finds a spot and lies and falls asleep. "All right, I'm going in." Luna said.
