Hi. So this is just a short little chapter that came to me a few days ago, enjoy.

Chapter 21

Jenny opened her eyes with a start. Her surroundings confused her. She had blacked out in her bedroom inside the castle, but now she seemed to be laying on a patch of grass, outside in the fresh air. The sun was beating down onto her body and shinning high and bright in the sky. There were birds whistling around her and bees buzzing in the warm sun; and a woman was standing over her offering her a hand up. Jenny blinked in the bright sun, she could barely make the woman out. Jenny took the offered hand and stood up, turning to face her help.

"Bloody hell!" She screamed when she finally came face to face with the woman. She simply smiled.

"Hello Jenny."

The woman in front of Jenny, was the exact spitting image of herself. Her jet black hair shinned in the sun light, it was long, seriously long, reaching her mid back before it stopped, tied loosely in a plait with a red band tied at the bottom. She had a pair of bright blue eyes, which seemed to convey friendship and safety to all those who looked at them. Her clothes reflected her age, a pair of jeans and pale green top, and she had a tattoo on her wrist. It was of half the Chinese symbol yin and yang. It was red with a black outline that flicked down and stopped where her wrist met the palm of her hand. It was obviously part of a set, and Jenny knew where she had seen the other half, and instantly recognised the woman.

"You're her aren't you" Jenny said finding her voice. "You're Rachel Evans."

Rachel smiled. "I am indeed. It's nice to finally meet you Jenny."

"How do you know me? And where am I?"

"Technically you're still at Hogwarts. This is where I have been for the last 9 years, inside your mind."

"Inside my mind?!" Jenny asked backing away.

"Jenny please don't be frightened." Rachel gently said, holding out a hand. "I honestly mean you no harm. I just want to help you."
"But if you're inside my head, then doesn't that mean…" Jenny trailed off as Rachel nodded her head.

"Yes Jenny, you found your way home."

Jenny slumped down onto the floor, Rachel quickly beside her.

"Are you ok?"
"Albus and Minerva were right, we are identical." Rachel laughed. "Why haven't I remembered anything since I came to the castle?" She asked.

"I think I can answer that." Rachel said. "I have been trying to find a way out of here for 9 years, and I found this." Rachel waved her hand and the scenery changed. The pair were sitting in front of a large set of iron gates. Behind them Jenny could see hundreds of people.
"They're my memories." Rachel sighed. "Or at least the people from them. I found them blocked off, a while ago, just out of reach." She said with a tear in each eye. Jenny took a closer look reaching out to touch the gates.

"Don't touch the gates!" Rachel quickly cried out. Jenny pulled her hand back. Rachel rushed over.

"It burns if you touch the gate." She said. "I found that out the hard way." She winced at the memory.

"Why?" Jenny enquired.

"I think it has something to do with what happened the night I got trapped here."
"What did happen to you?" Jenny looked directly at Rachel.

"I got into a fight." She said. "When I didn't win, someone used a spell to alter my memory, to make me forget everything I knew. Whilst I can't be 100% sure who it was, I have a suspicion. It would explain why the gates are booby-trapped." Jenny still looked confused.

"One of the death eaters changed my memory and made it so they are inaccessible to me, so that I couldn't come back and help defeat Voldemort." Rachel stated.

"But you can remember." Jenny said.

"True, but you can't. With me in here and you unable to remember, I am stuck." Rachel summed up.

"They miss you, you know." Jenny said, whilst the women sat in silence.

"I know." Rachel replied. "You might not be able to remember me or my memories, but I know yours." Rachel explained. She pointed to another set of gates a little way off that were open wide and inviting. "That's your memory bank." Rachel said. "I am free to see those, just not my own." Jenny walked over to the gate and looked in. She smiled at the number of people and things she saw, all of which she remembered.

Jenny caught sight of Severus amongst the memories and her smile faded.

"I'm sorry about him." Rachel said from behind her.

"Don't be." Jenny said quietly. "He's going to have a shock when he realises he turned you down." Rachel smirked.

"That is if I can get out of here."

"You will," Jenny said turning to Rachel, "because I'm going to help you."

"Jenny…" Rachel began, but Jenny was bounding back towards the gate blocking Rachel's memories. Rachel hurrying after her.
"What are you doing?" Rachel gasped as Jenny reached out to the gates.

"You can see my memories, maybe I can see yours."

"Jenny don't be silly. You'll get hurt." Rachel pleaded. Jenny chose to ignore her and reached out towards the gates and pushed.

The metal gave way underneath her touch and the gates fell to the ground, the memories spilling out. They surrounded the two women and Jenny felt them becoming one with her own. She turned to Rachel.

"Do me a favour?" She called out. Rachel turned to face her, Jenny saw the tears in her eyes as she felt herself fading away and Rachel getting stronger.

"Anything." She called back.

"Don't forget me? Don't forget my life."

"As if I could." Rachel responded. She reached out to touch the fading Jenny, grabbing her hand as the woman faded from view and Rachel felt the blackness coming to the forefront of her mind, engulfing her once more.

And she's back! Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me so far only one more chapter to go.

As always please read and review, and have a happy read.
