Chapter 11:
Hey~ So yeah nothing new~ Just trying to get through nasty physics which is EVIL...but yeah sorry for taking so long to update! Hope to update sooner next time! Ummm OH and I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar errors, just as last time my person is gone sooo I had to proof read and I suck~. Well hopefully I'll get better at proof reading this way~. Sooo onto the story! Reviewing and Favoriting is appreciated! ^-^
Stirring in my sleep, I slowly opened my eyes.
Ugh…what time is it?...
As I blinked a few times, I realized I was still in Levi's office, tucked under his cloak. Taking a closer look I realized I had a whole blanket draped over me as well. He must have threw it on my while I was asleep
Awww man, now I'm gunna smell like him…that's sure gunna start some unwanted rumors.
Sitting up I saw Levi was vacant from the room.
He's probably up doing something like meeting up with Erwin or—it's now tomorrow—well yesterday's tomorrow, but whatever! That means todays the day that-
Ruffled mumbles brought me from my thoughts. I could hear them from outside the room, and they grew louder and louder by the second. Pressing my ear against the wall I listened intently.
"She's fine."
"Are you sure I mean I—"
"I said she was fine. Now stop your rambling your giving me a headache."
That's Levi and Roy alright so that means-
"Where is she? I asked everyone and they said they didn't know."
Levi didn't answer and by the volume of their voices they were right outside the door.
"Oh I'm sure she'll turn up, she's been whining about having a withdrawal of your tea anyways."
"Really? Oh then I'll go make her some, but I need to find her first…I wonder where she is."
Holy crap Levi…why aren't you telling him I'm in here?! Then again maybe for the sake of no rumors starting but really….I highly doubt Roy would think that anyways~. OR it could be that he just wants to get rid of him because he's getting annoyed. OR-wait…he doesn't want people to know he's gone soft! Hehehehe~.
Levi still hasn't entered his office, which I think made Roy rather suspicious.
"So do you know where she is?"
"Why would I know? I'm not her gatekeeper."
"Oh well, Erwin asked me if I could take some of that paper work you were working on down to him, so I'll just pick that up and be on my way."
There was a small pause until I heard Levi mumble out, "I'll be heading down there myself anyways. I'll just bring them."
There was then another small pause until I heard Roy speak.
"Alright, well I guess I'll just go and start my search then."
I heard his footsteps walk down the hallways and Levi waited a good minute or so before opening the door just to make sure Roy really left.
As soon as he entered he quickly and yet quietly shut the door.
"Soooo what was that?"
Levi whipped his head around to find me sitting on the couch with my arms folded.
"Afraid of people knowing you went soft are you?"
"I haven't gone soft. Now get your butt off my couch, your husband's looking for you."
Letting out a sigh I stood up, with his cloak in hand, "Just because he cares about my well-being doesn't mean he's my husband. Now, mama's got a nice cup of tea waiting for her soooo I'm gunna take my leave~. Oh and don't worry I didn't drool on your jacket, your blanket, OR your couch."
I then handed him his cloak which he quickly examined only to find a very tiny darkened spot…which was probably my drool.
"….ok maybe a little, but I'm not carrying any diseases so you should be fine! Ok gunna go!~" I exclaimed before he could starting complaining, and I walked out and started to close the door.
Before I could totally close it though, I opened it slightly, "And-um-thanks for letting me sleep with your cloak and blanket and all. See ya later."
I then shut the door and made my way down the hallway. Mama has some tea waiting for her.
Practically running down the hallway I went on my search for Roy. I couldn't wait to see him. I haven't really seen or talked to him since the whole incident where I was pulled out of titan vomit. Right after I was pulled out, I passed out, was asleep, then met up with Levi/Erwin/Eren, then Erwin and Levi had that little talk, then I went to bed to be interrupted my Jean and Marco, finally fell asleep, THEN I woke up, found Hanji, asked her about where Eren and the Levi squad where going, aaaand then I headed out straight to here….so yeah I am Roy deprived.
Running down the stairs I almost ran over Petra.
"SORRY!" I called out as I continued my decent.
"It's ok but where have you been? I went to your sleeping quarters last night—and she's gone…."
I stopped and ran back up the stairs, having a better idea than running around blind trying to find Roy.
"HEY PETRA!" I exclaimed running back up to her.
Turning around she said, "Yeah?"
"Have you seen Roy?"
"Um yeah, I did, but I had a question where were you last night? I didn't-"
"Levi's room. Now where's Roy?!" I said eyes full of excitement.
"Uhhhh he's down in the kitchen, but what do you mean you where—?"
"Thanks Petra!" I yelled out running back down the stairs.
"She never lets me finish my sentences…."
After a good 3 minutes I had made it to the kitchen door, huffing and puffing. Silently opening the door open, I was met with a familiar figure. His back was turned but I knew exactly who he was. Tiptoeing in, I slipped behind him as he was making some tea.
Roy you're so sweet you're gunna kill me.
Having to go on the tips of my toes (and even then I was too short) I put my hands over his eyes (well it was pretty the tops of my fingers since I was too short for my entire hand to go over his eyes but it was good enough~).
"Guess who~."
Letting out a gasp he turned around.
"Squad leader Catori! It's so good to see you! I was so worried. I was going to see if you were alright. I'm sorry I wasn't able to see you this morning! I was going to stay in your room I swear, but for some reason I woke up in my bed and-"
"Roy calm down," I said putting a hand on my arm since his shoulder was out of my reach.
"It's fine and I'm fine. Sorry I didn't tell you I was leaving, I just wanted to make sure Eren was ok."
"Eren? You know him?"
"Well kind of—well I found out who he was yesterday. It's been crazy…OH but yeah I'm guessing Kiwi's here too?"
"Who do you think I'm making the second cup of tea for?"
"Hey your tea is popular—waaaay better than Levi's, that's for sure."
"Speaking of Levi he did mention that you were missing me tea."
"Indeed I was~," I sighed leaning against the counter.
Giving me a smile Roy went back to preparing the tea.
"So where were you? I've been looking everywhere."
OH SNAP. What do I say. I was told Petra that I was in Levi's room but if I tell Roy that he'll know that Levi was lying…wait why do I care if Roy finds out if Levi was lying?
"I was in Levi's room."
"Wha-but he said—"
"Yeah I know what he said. To cut a long story short, I was tired, fell asleep on his couch, and I guess he doesn't want people to know I was there otherwise they'd think he'd gone soft or something like that."
"Ahh," Roy chimed nodding his head, "So that's why you smell a lot like soap."
"Yes. And let me make this clear. I slept with his blanket and cloak. NOT HIM. Just want to clarify before you even asked."
"Haha oh I know. Like you would ever anyways, and he would probably consider you too dirty to lay next to—NOT that you are, it's just that's how he thinks!"
"Heh, yeah I know. I'm surprised he lent me his cloak, let alone a blanket."
Roy just nodded in agreement. As he started to pour the tea the door opened. It was Kiwi.
"Catori!" Kiwi said running up and latching onto me.
"Heh, hey ki-"
"Why do you smell like Levi?"
"UGHHHH! Crap now I have to take a shower…"
"Wait…why do you smell like—"
"It's a long story that is not important," I groaned out taking the cup Roy offered to me.
"But—"
Just then the door swung open and it was none other than Levi.
"Ravioli! Ravioli!" Kiwi chimed in her cute little voice.
Levi sighed at her comment and glared at her, but the glare wasn't as hard as usual. Kiwi has been here for about a year now, and at first she was scared of Levi. After seeing how I treated him and that I wasn't dead the next day, she was a little calmer around him and eventually started treating him like he was her big brother. Well kind of like a big brother, it's the only thing I can relate it to. Levi doesn't seem to mind too much, probably because she follows all of his orders and doesn't question him, so in return he holds nothing against her (unlike me and Hanji~). But kiwi only treats him as such when other cadets aren't around because she knows that Levi will just get angry. He doesn't want other cadets to know. He wants to make sure they still know where their place is (because evidently kiwi stands somewhere else.) Although, all the squad leaders and Roy/Levi's team already know she treats him that way, so she treats him like that when they are around. Now usually he wouldn't glare at her (like he is doing now) but that is probably because of the new nickname she gave him…well a nickname that I kind of gave him and now she is using…
Looking down at her, his glare softened and he placed a hand on her head. He then looked up at me and his glare came back…as usual.
"You did this."
"Wha—I have no idea—"
Glancing back down at Kiwi, he raised an eyebrow which she responded with, "She calls you that when you're not there! It's been going on for around 3 months now. Sorry Catori..now where's my cake?"
Levi has a tendency to bribe kiwi with sweets for her to do his extra bidding. Almost like an inner spy. She's ratted me out a few times but it was all for the double chocolate fudge cake….I see where I stand….although she will share it with me…well share the cake that I know about. For all I know she could have ratted me out hundreds of times.
"Three months huh? And why was I not informed of this before?"
"You didn't ask."
Letting out a sigh he cocked his head to the side.
"The top cabinet, last one to the left. Don't make a mess."
Trotting over across the kitchen she grabbed a chair and made her epic journey over to her cake.
"KIWI! WHAT THE HECK! Why would you call him that in the first place!?"
"I don't know it just slipped out," she said grabbing out a slice of cake.
I glanced back over to Levi to only find him burning a hole through my head.
"Hey don't look at me. I think it's a cute nickname. Just sayin'~.
Holy crap if looks could kill.
Walking up to me he glowered, "Give me one good reason not to order to clean my office from top to—"
"SQUAD LEADER CATORI! CORPORAL LEVI!" a scout shouted running through the kitchen door.
"What is it?" Levi said turning his gaze over to the babbling man.
"The experiment subjects! They've been killed!"
"What?!"

Upon arriving where they were keeping the titans, I could hear Hanji's shrill screams. Looking up ahead I saw Hanji screaming and crying over the two evaporating titan bodies. They were already down to just the skeleton. Quickly making my way through the crowd I ran up to my distraught friend.
"SAWNEY! BEAN!" she sobbed falling to her knees.
Running up to her, I knelt down trying to calm her down.
"Hanji—"
"THIS CAN'T BE! SOMEONE TELL ME I'M DREAMING!"
She continued to scream digging her hands into the sides of her head, clenching her hair.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!"
"HANJI! YOU HAVE TO CALM DOWN!"
"BUT THE'RE GONE CATORI! THEY WERE MURDERED!" She bellowed grabbing onto my shoulders looking me dead in the eye.
I was scared, but not of her, but of what she was doing. She had gone way off the deep end than I've seen before….I mean I don't think I've ever been afraid of Hanji. I found her a bit off when I first met her, but I got over that very quickly. And I've seen her in her insane and crazy rants and how she reacted the last time our titan specimens died…but they died on accident where these did not…I mean I've never seen her like this.… this was something else…
Eyes as wide as dinner plates I was silent as her wild and crazed gaze turned to the titans.
Turning back to the steaming titan bodies she continued her shrill wails. She was completely hysterical.
What should I do?! What can I do?! She's not LISTENING TO ME! OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH WHAT DO I DO?!
Trying not to panic I took her hand and held it. I figured she'd take a while to get this all out of her system, but as a friend I'd be there for it. Holding her hand tight, she clutched it back firmly. It was around five minutes of screaming until she started to sob and eventually started to slouch in my arms.
I know some people might find it odd. Me comforting a person who was sad over the loss of the very things we were fighting…but she was hurting, and that's all that mattered.
"It's ok Hanji," I murmured out stroking her head as it rested on my chest.
Sniffling she continued to shudder, as her tears started to drench my shirt.
"It's gunna be ok."
Oh poor Hanji~. So yeah hope you liked this chapter! Hehe thought it would be funny to add in how Levi can bribe Kiwi XD. And as always any suggestions and comments are appreciated!
