"Oi!" Alba bellowed, reaching a hand out to smack Shawn upside the head. "Don't you ignore me! I told you ten minutes ago to call Arthur!" His hands were shaking with withheld rage, his worry controlling his actions. Ignoring the yelp that came from his Irish brother, the Scotsman continued to glare at the road ahead waiting for a verbal reaction from the younger male.
"Ouch! you git! that really hurt! Why the hell did you hit me?" Northern Ireland growled out, rubbing the sore patch on his head, wincing slightly when his calloused fingers pressed with a bit too much force against the most sensitive area.
"You weren't listening you ninny. I told you to call Arthur to check up on him… In fact, scratch that, send Cymru a quick text, ask him what the situation is with him and if he still has contact with Artie. If he has contact we know Arthur hasn't completely shut off yet. Use my phone, it is on the dashboard" The instructions were clear and to the point. They needed to know what they were getting into before they arrived at their destinations.
Unlocking his brothers' phone, Shawn quickly began typing out the text:
What is the situation? Details. Need to know what has been happening,
how it started, who is involved and the after effects. Your exact location (room number and floor) Reply ASAP
P.S, have you had any contact with Arthur? (I know you aren't there with him) - Scotland
"Sent. I am gonna call Artie now, do you want me to put it on speaker or not?" Shawn questioned, glancing at his elder brother to encourage an answer out of him.
"No. He will be able to tell from the echoing, he won't speak if he thinks it isn't safe, you know that. Also, don't call him yet. We still don't know if he will answer, we need to wait for Cymru to get back to us on the matter" The Scottish nation couldn't help a small sigh of relief that escaped him as his phone beeped, announcing that he had received a message.
The situation is getting a little bit worse than once thought; Keith is
highly emotional, Matthew is missing, along with Alfred.
The argument is best discussed in person, will give you that detail when
you arrive. Violence is highly likely, area unsafe. Party involved; Keith, Matthew, Alfred
Myself and Arthur (He is unaware of his involvement).
Location: Room 21, 3rd floor.
I have been texting Brawd for the past 3 hours, he has answered each text sent out, the last one being around 1 hour ago (the all knowing Alba strikes again.) Why did you want to know that?
- Wales
Alba listened intently as his younger brother read the text aloud, his worry increasing when he heard 'the argument is best discussed in person' what did that mean? His brow creased as he racked his mind around the annoying sentence.
"Don't tell him the truth.. just say you were curious on if he had had any contact with him. You were worried about Arthur being left alone. Do not under any circumstance say something is wrong, we don't need him worrying about two situations. Tell him I half an hour away and will be there shortly"
Okay. I was just worried about Arthur being left alone is all. I am half an hour away
from your location, I shall be there shortly, just going to drop Shawn off at the
house so he can stay with Artie then I shall be right there.
Also, what do you mean 'Matthew is missing'? He is more than likely with
his brother. Keep an eye on Keith until I get there. Be careful - Scotland
"Right, now you can call Artie, tell him we are about… 25 minutes away" The elder red-head said, not taking his eyes of the road as he turned down yet another back street, ignoring the grumble that came from the younger man as he was given yet another task. Typing in Arthur's mobile number between mutters Shawn brought the phone up to his ear, tilting his head back as he did so, staring at the roof of the car and praying that his little brother would answer the phone.
*Ring ring… Ring ring… Ring ring… I'm sorry, the person you are calling is currently unavailable-*
"Artie, It's Shawn. Call me back as soon as you get this! Oh and I am on the way to the house! 'kay, bye!" Clicking the 'end call' button, Shawn looked towards his elder brother, his worry and slight aggravation clearly displayed on his face. It was clear that Arthur hadn't answered the phone call, what wasn't clear however, was why.
'What the heck could that boy be doing?' Alba thought, pursing his lips and adding more pressure to the gas pedal causing his car to speed up even more, he can pay the speeding bills later, right now his idiotic little brother could be doing something they would all regret.
"Hold on boyo, I am gonna make sure we get to that house in record time!"
- Arthurs point of view-
'-oh and I am on the way to the house! 'kay, bye!'
"S-shit! No! stupid brothers always getting in the fucking way! Why the hell do they need to get involved! Why c-can't they just leave me the hell alone!" Arthur spat out bitterly, launching the offending object across the room and away from his person, his hands twitching for the medicine they always craved. Growling, the blonde man quickly scurried towards the draw beside him, withdrawing the bottle of liquid promises, the ghost of a smile graced his face as he threw himself to the ground yet again.
"You've never let me down…. how can you? You can't even move! Ha! G-go on! Run away from me! Go go go! ha!" Despite the giggles which erupted from the young man's mouth, the words he spoke lacked any true humour. They were words laced with malice, dipped in sorrow and brazed in a marinade of self-hatred. And yet, the man continued to giggle, his laughter only growing in volume as he cheered the bottle on, willing it to make its escape, even going as far as to open the door for it, as though doing so would cause the object to gain legs and sprint away.
"heh, idiot… Why wont you just go! I want you to go! I don't need you! I never needed you! I DON'T WANT YOU HERE ANYMORE! LEAVE ME! LEAVE ME! LEAVE. ME. ALONE!" Arthur bellowed as his laughter gradually morphed into rage. Hands fisted into tight balls, the blonde nation roughly rubbed the back of his neck, nimble fingers grasping at the strands of hair which resided there.
"JUST FUCKING LEAVE! LEAVE Me alone! just… leave" With his anger depleting, Arthur crumbled to the ground again. His bottle of promises and comforting memories forgotten as he closed himself to the world again, wanting to remain alone, wanting to forget and to be forgotten by the world, waiting to be forgotten, waiting for something to go wrong.
Just, waiting. For something to happen.
