When Hiccup's latest design finally succeeds at shooting down a dragon, he believes that all of his problems have finally been solved. Unfortunately between his father, a crippled Nightfury, and his general penchant for trouble; things are not that simple as he finds himself walking the razor edge between humans and dragons in a conflict as old as time – or perhaps even longer.

28. Ouroboros - Final Chapter (AN)

Sorry everyone, but it seems quite unlikely that i am ever going to get back to fanfiction writing. I didnt want to stop back then, but university had to take priority and later on i... simply forgot all about this.

Was filtering through all my leftover documents when i came across the word document with Ouroboros in it, and I just couldnt not do anything.

Looking back at my profile i just have to bitterly laugh at my naivety... "no idea how authors ever drop their stories", "promise i will finish mine no matter what"... sigh. Reality really has a way of wrecking your plans.

Anyway - thats the bad news. I do however (for those of you who have not just stopped reading the moment you understood whats happening) have some sort of good news. You see, i didnt just start writing the story and written it chapter by chapter - i actually established a full on world that i wanted to write in, and planned out the chapters for the story pretty much start to finish. I do have approximately 50k more words written as full on chapters that were supposed to be published later on, and have chapter summaries stretching from where i left off all the way to the end of the book.

For those of you who are actually interested in seeing how all of this was supposed to pan out, I have decided to put the original document online in all its un-cut glory.

Well everyone... its been a good run. To those who have actually waited out the 3 year break... thanks for sticking around. To those just coming in to read the story - hope you enjoy it.

If anyone feels like writing their own interpretation / use any ideas from here, feel free. I am not going to sue anyone - trust me.

Oh, and if anyone cant for some reason get to the document, i will post one last chapter with just the story elements (no world explanations, timeline, or any of the background stuff. for that you should get the document)
