Revised Winx Club Eternix Part 1 Chapter 3: Finding Aisha
"This is Aisha. If you hear this, I'm really busy. Leave a message after the beep."
Beep.
"This is Tecna, Aisha... We have trying to call you for a while now and we know that you are ignoring us...just call us...bye..." Tecna hung up her phone. "I guess a fifth time isn't the charm."
The five fairies left Roxy and waited around for Aisha on campus. They walked around the school to look for Aisha, retiring momentarily in the dining hall. The remaining Winx sat at the back rectangular table closes to the window, staying away from the students while they contemplated over the information Headmistress Faragonda gave and Aisha. Tecna, Flora and Musa sat together on the left side of the table with Tecna sitting at the ending edge, Musa in the middle and Flora sitting next to Musa. Stella was opposite Tecna on the right side of the table while Bloom sat facing Musa.
Each took turns calling or texting Aisha. All of the messages had a friendly tone to them as if what had happened in Roxy's dorm and in Faragonda's office never occurred. When it came time to Tecna's call Aisha refused again to pick up. While Tecna toiled around with her phone, Stella examined her orange nails. Flora yawned and Musa whistled, pulling out her earbuds and music player from her pocket. Between calls a student, familiar and new, spoke to the girl. Most said hello, few wanted autographs and for the students that the girls new chatted up on old times. Stella excused herself to chat with Nova. The blonde returned to the table a few minutes later to Bloom clacking her nails to the table.
"I should have followed Aisha. Now she left Alfea and she isn't picking up her phone."
"Aisha needed some space. Maybe it's best for us to give her some time. She'll call us when she's feeling better," said Flora.
"Still…" Still, she wanted to do something to make things better for Aisha. Bloom wasn't sure if it was her tone, what she said, or the allegations Headmistress Faragonda brought up that pissed off Aisha and she could tell through her "smile" that she was mad.
"You're worried. I'm worried too." Tecna groaned. "We'll pass the time-ten minutes at most." The technology fairy got up from her seat. "In the meantime I'll get something to eat. I hope they still have the breakfast menu."
Tecna last sentence clicked with each girl, whom each sat up, wide-eyed and mouths opened. Even Musa listen to music pulled out her left earbud. They forgot to open up shop. Clients would be lining up at a closed Love and Pet, waiting for their appointments. Of course the pets needed to be bathe, trained, fed, groomed and most off all watched from the last incidents those rascals had torn apart the pet shop, mostly from Aisha and Stella's pets fighting over male bunny bachelor Kiko. Bloom stood up, telling the girls that she would call Vanessa, "She'll help!" Probably. Bloom dialed in her mother number as she rushed out the cafeteria.
Stella mumbled. "We should've taken the day off…"
"We didn't expect to stay this long, Stella."
"I need at least a day to relax my poor hands. Flora, you have no idea how wrinkled they get! And look at my nails! Chipped after one day of application!"
Musa rolled her eyes. "But I thought you loved working there, right?"
The blonde put her head on the table, her hair flipped and reaching pass the other side of the table. "It felt calm after all the things we've one saving the dimensions and everything to take care of them. It doesn't beat a spa day..."
"Just wear gloves for now on." Flora joked. Tecna returned with a cafeteria tray holding five plates of assorted sliced fruits, toast, bacon strips, scrambled eggs and hash browns; a container of orange juice and plastic cups floating behind her.
"Are you eating that all by yourself?" Musa smiled after Tecna placed the tray on the table.
Tecna threw a plastic fork at Musa. "I don't get any thanks for bring you guys breakfast, now?"
"Thank you Tecna."
"You're very much welcome, Flora. You get orange juice." Tecna placed a cup by her side and poured the orange juice. Stella snatched it away.
"Stella!"
"Sorry, Flora. The Fairy of the Shinning Sun needs OJ first. It keeps me bright and happy."
Tecna set up the rest of the cups and poured orange juice in them. "In the meantime, we could check up on Roxy."
"Fork, please." Tecna handed her and Flora forks. "Absolutely not, Tecna," she said while eating a spoonful of eggs. "let Roxy bask in the Alfea's air." The magenta haired girl raised her eyebrow. "Don't give me that look, Tec. As much as I want to stay by Roxy's side as soon as we leave, she'll be mostly on her own learning about everything Magix. Let her spread her wings and meet new people. We've taught our disciple everything she needs on Winxology."
Musa nearly choked on her food. "Disciple? You make it sound like we run a religion…"
"Not a religion, but a way of life."
"Her roommate wasn't very nice. Lilith, was it?" Flora grabbed several strawberries. "She has a chip on her shoulder."
"More like raging witch syndrome." Tecna took a sliced orange.
Stella sighed. "One of the many attitudes of people of the prestige that never left their kingdom."
"It sound like you know her a bit."
Stella ripped a piece of bacon before she replied to Flora's comment. "I know of Lilith, not know her. Solaria and Sogno aren't on friendly terms. Rather they haven't been on friendly terms, with a lot of different realms. I've never physically seen Lilith until that scene. What I've heard about her was from Nova."
"Second hand informati—"
"Trustworthy second hand information, Tec! Nova knows just more than gossip and Solaria news." Stella was quick to defend her solarian friend whom was excellent when it comes to political insight across the realms. "So far, what she told me was true. She has other family, nothing that I care that much to talk about but I don't to chat with her enough for me to care. Other than that…I heard it might be an interesting year at Alfea with all the new students and plans with Cloud Tower... and talks."
"Talks about…?"
"Well Tecna, since she's the only fairy from earth attending Alfea and slap in her connection with us, she'll likely be the center of some gossip. I believe she has nothing to worry about."
"I'm leaning on checking on Roxy now, too." Stella glared at Musa. "If Nova has this much 'trustworthy second hand' info, giving our friends a mostly blind reaction to Alfea may not be a good plan."
"Stop being worry wort's. Probably I would get to talk to Nova more on MagixBooks to keep me posted but someone wouldn't let me use the computer."
"The computer is only for business uses." Tecna sipped her juice. She picked up her PDA, punching a few keys on her device.
"Come on Tecna, I've seen you on MagixBook!"
Bloom returned. The expression of her face was a mix of frustration and relief. "Oh you guys got breakfast."
"So did your Mom say?" Musa asked.
Responsibility talk she could come up with after asking for her a favor. " I kinda asked her to reschedule the appointments for other days and to watch the shop for the next two days." Stella cheered and Musa cringed at Bloom's favor, reading on the redhead's face the brunt of Vanessa's talk. Luckily for the six, the flower shop will be closed those days and some of her employees with the usual volunteers would help out. Bloom checked her cell. "I think we should call back Aisha." Bloom dialed her number and placed the cell on speaker phone. It rang once.
"This is Aisha. If you hear this, I'm probably really busy. Leave a message-"
Bloom hung up. "She's ignoring us."
"Or she could be in a different realm, or in an area that doesn't get a strong enough signal," Flora said.
"Isn't that's unlikely? You can get a signal underground." Bloom put her cellphone away.
"She's on Andros." The technology fairy put her PDA down. The others were taken aback at Tecna's find. Musa smirked, telling her best friend that this explains a lot. "Explains…?"
"How you seem to know where Timmy is at all times." The short haired magenta ears turned to pink.
Bloom sat up from the table. "Should we leave now?"
Stella put her hand up. "Yes...but we should call the guys to drop us off."
"Stella, are you serious…?"
"Flora, when was the last time we seen them?" Stella snatched Tecna's PDA from her hands. "Come on. We have two days of a bit of leisure and why not? And blame Musa for reminding me…"
"I don't get why you need to use my phone, Stella."
"If I need to use technology with super speed, your gadgets never disappoint." She listened on the to dial tone. "Brandon, I missed you…yeah I'm using Tecna's phone…we're going out on a…yeah…yeah I know just sneak the owl on a trip to Andros with us, you should have a little bit of leeway after you guys' mission on earth…" Stella continued her nodding occasionally saying yes or uuhh. The blonde paused and stopped shaking her head a second later.
"…so that's a no, it's it...?" The other girls griped. Stella pulled up the holographic display, caching the moment Brandon shook his head. Stella pouted. "What? I was just making sure."
"We can't miss another day. We have the makeup exams and homework; how do you expect us to graduate on time? Be held back a year?"
"What's wrong with being held back? You learn twice as much that way."
Brandon grunted. Headmaster Saladin gave the approval to send the five young men to Gardenia, but the work they had to do during that time waited from them when they got back to Red Fountain. Advance Weapons History, Dragon Command and Hovercycle mechanics course packets were waiting to be filled and neither Specialist reminded another to study sometime on their stay at Gardenia. Riven and Helia didn't pull their head from their textbooks while Timmy looked through a set of papers and jotted notes on his laptop. Brandon would be studying if Stella would end her call. Each specialist knew they deserved the painful cram session for that. "I need to get back to studying..." Continuing to pout, Stella told Brandon to call her as soon as he was done with makeups, feeling lonely without hearing his voice for so long.
"Hold on!" Bloom noticed that her boyfriend wasn't with the others, or did show within the hologram's frame. "Where's Sky?"
"That information is classified. Call you later, Stel." Brandon said. Stella closed the message, sighing softly.
"Off to Andros!"
"She's is a bright mood after all that pouting a second ago." Musa whispered to Flora.
Author's note: Some of the dialogue were either rearranged, edited or removed with description changes a few in between to reach the word goal. The mid sequence between in chapter four was added into this chapter and the ending for this chapter was reworked to the fourth.
A bit uneventful. In the original version, the Winx had to attend Pilot Training and Dragon Communication class with Professor Cordatorta which Stella wasn't at all happy to be a part of and had caused issues between the Winx, Brandon and Cordatorta. The original was called "Pressures" the first ever name was "I didn't ask..." (crappy first name), while this one is called "Finding Aisha and Roxy's Awkward Moment."
