Revised: Winx Club Eternix Part 1 Chapter 9: Just our Fairest Part 1: Fears among us.

This is how girls in Magix dressed, her advisor said.

She was use to wedges due to her practice with heels, even liked them due to their support except the cork material. The rest of her look: No.

The denim of her shorts and jacket itched her skin. The type of material was unpopular for Sogno royals and were reserved for farm and other field workers. The length of the shorts was another issue; Lilith saw other students with shorter and tighter pants that seem more like a second skin rather than clothing than hers, but they were considerably short for her standards. The closest she wore for pants were bloomers and her equestrian slacks until now. The tank was some stretch mash of fabric so simply made and without the jacket would show more skin than her limit of exposed flesh, but it was out of the types she saw this most conservative look.

She pulled down the hem of her pants, giving herself the imaginary feeling that they would grow longer. Seeing some students in traditional garbs of their realm, she wondered the need for dressing like a face in this crowd: surely her traditional clothing included a dress of fine threads, cascading bulks of fabric, dynamic hues of taffeta and hand-crafted detail. Flashy, yes, but they were her traditional clothes!

She knew the request of the Magix counsel to send the prince and princess of Sogno to respected schools months prior to her arrival. The Queen, Lilith's mother, was all too happy for her daughter to leave; the girl never saw some sort of sadness for hearing three months would be spent without her children in a different realm. Queen Lynette had her way with expression, a plastered face with generic emotions and inviting purple eyes she adopted from her mother. The Sognoian princess knew that this was her way to help her, but she could do without her mother's pestering.

The Sognoian princess traveled from her realm to Eraklyon then from airship-she was nerved by all the gizmos, speed and look of the thing-to Magix with her advisor and servants. Then when through a painful morning of shopping for the princess to assimilate with others. The advisor left sometime afterwards for a conference with the Magix counsel while Lilith and the servants headed off to Alfea. Thankfully for her help, arrangements were made for them to return to Sogno and the advisor had to make his trip back to Sogno to oversee the prince's travel to Magix.

Lilith entered her dorm room, flopping to her bed as her face buried in the white pillow when the servants finished their duties and left. Not soft enough, Lilith thought as she fluffed the side of her pillow. She should have packed some pillows from her realm since the down in the pillow seemed a bit... artificial. This was probably made in Zenith.

Her brother would be leaving Sogno to Magix soon-Lilith bit her lip at the thought of his surprise at the young men and women of Magix dress code and informal actions. Quiet and mild-mannered compared to his sister, Lamont might carry his fears of this world inside and the effect of them would be lack of sleep. Both will lose eight hours of sleep due to the twelve instead of twenty hours of sleep. Considering from what she heard about Red Fountain that uses technology and is a floating school suspended to that height due to a mix of magic and technology his first night might be somewhat of a hassle. At least her school was on land.

The impression of Alfea for Lilith was more of a mediocre school that had more esteem than it deserved. It was a sight on her first arrival, though the Sognoian castle was four times the size of the boarding school, but everything on this campus was an utter mess. The Headmistress was nowhere to be found, the crabby lady in glasses had no care for Lilith's personal accommodations and hurried her time spend as if she was another student, Professors that were more enthralled with the papers than aid an obviously confused person of esteem, students that brushed passed her with a trailing sorry as they walked off and a clearly disturbed woman with pink hair and lopsided specks that pushed a book trolley across the hall. These were clearly some issues the Princess would like to address to the Headmistress...if she knew how to find her office. It would be better to advise the woman on properly greeting her out of any of the student due to the delicacy of her situation.

That's went it happened, the sort of grumble that if you heard closely sounded like an illiterate ogre trying to speak human tongue. She headed to the main corridor, with the brief sort of discussion with her roommate and down the front steps to the cafeteria. She had a big breakfast, but the time difference between realms and the energy going to and from Magix used up her energy. The cafeteria was filled with an unusually large number of students: some eating, most chatting among each other and the rest clearly loitering. The servers for the dinner were students, welcoming each student while they gave them sub-part amenities. Following the student in front of her, Lilith took a plate and walked to the first attendee: a pale redheaded girl with a pumpkin printed on her ripped shirt.

"Hi! Welcome to Alfea! We're happ-"

"That is nice, but I am in no mood for chatter. Please rest what is edible and I will be on my way."

Mirta placed the first item on her plate. "Have a nice...day..."

Lilith did the same to the others and was glad that the refreshments station required no contact with any other student. She ate her meal alone; she would have eaten in her room, but her roommate might be there and didn't care for small talk from her. She placed her tray in the pile and left to make some request.

The pale blonde walked to the headmistress office in her usual gusto, posture straight, heel first then toe and her hands in front of her. She'd place her hand behind her back, rubbing her left fingers with her right hand. Her father told her in the past that it was a bad habit that she needed to break. In front of her, the entrance to the Headmistress's office. Lilith grabbed the handle of the door, but let go without turning the knob. She shook her hand to her side before reaching the knob again and opening the door. "Headmistress Faragonda."

"Yes?" The elder looked up from her readings. Beside her desk was a pink trunk. "Good evening, Lilith. Take a seat."

No formalities. She expected that from the students, but not the Headmistress. She took the lower seat facing the white-haired woman.

"I apologize for missing the introductions. Some personal plans got in the way of attending the students. So how is Alfea and Magix so far?"

"It is...different." Lilith paused. "The technology is what my realm's diplomat says but the experience of it is most annoying. I disapprove with the idea of me assimilating to the customs of Magix: I've seen students dressed in the garbs of their realm and I'm not allowed to wear that's traditional for me?"

The Headmistress laughed. "I don't see the practicality of wearing such clothing daily. Image how long it would take for you without the help of any maidservants to get you in and out before class started. Then your hair and makeup and jewels, then you have to tread through the hallways-"

"-I understand. It is not practical. I'll change the topic to something else that is: I want a room change, preferably to completely private quarters."

"But you do have a private room. Most of the rooms are shared with another student."

"I do not want to live in the same proximity as a stranger. Even if our closet space call rooms are private, we share the subspace between our rooms and the exit. I would prefer my accommodations to be without a roommate since traditionally I never had one."

"Every student is assigned to a room. Each will be living with a student that starts off as a stranger. All of the princesses and daughters of political standing live in these apartments and their roommates for the most part are commoners of their realm." The headmistress took of her glasses, cleaning the lenses with the hem of her vest. "In Alfea, we stand by the code to help our fellow fairy which included the girls that were born with more or less. We do not cater to individual-"

"I am not asking you to cater to any other royal, I am asking the Headmistress out of the knowledge of the circumstances that I am involved and faced with to have another room. You do understand that the sanctity of a cross-dimensional alliance rest in the treatment of the royal family's comfortability in a foreign realm, something that I have not received since I arrive. Instead I receive mediocre dinning, assimilation to blend in with the drivel and someone of 'high esteem' whom have never greeted me since my arrival and has chosen to stay barricaded in her humdrum office delivering me banter about people that are not me. I gave in my request of clothing for a request of a private room and you dismiss me? Have you no manners?"

Occasionally, Alfea had students that thought too well of themselves. They learned to cope with the environment or leave after their first year. She remembered Stella's issues from her first semester and she was one of the few girls that did get her own room. Lilith just lucked out. The student was standing, her position in the smaller chair made her look up to this headmistress and she needed to define her position in power. Too tired to discipline the new student, Faragonda wiped the rest of the smudged reading glasses.

"You have some sort of cloth to wipe your glasses with instead of wiping it against your clothing like some lower-class citizen?"

"I do, but it might be lost in the paperwork on my desk. My vest would do just fine."

The blonde sneered, slamming the door hard enough to shake the stain glass. She pulled on the hem of her pants again, maddened the customs of this realm while she walked into a fellow student. She recoiled, lightly dusting herself and turned to the female she bumped into. "Oh, you..."

"Hi roommate..."

"Do not address me in any informal manner."

Roxy sighed. She wanted to walk away, but started to mumble under her breath. "Well, I haven't had the best day either: going from planet to planet, leaving my parents and pet at home, meeting some strange girl today. And I'm not talking about you. It's some girl I met that though the library was a playground and dropped books for the librarian to get mad." Roxy absentmindedly played with her hair. "You know, we don't have to be friends, but can bare being roommates?"

"This is nothing that I wanted…"

"Sometimes we don't get what you want. I thought I spent my time at Alfea instantly befriending my roommate and having the adventure my friends had."

"There is nothing wrong with having high expectations for a school that claims itself in high esteem. That is…concerning. The Headmistress is a lost cause, insubordinate case. How difficult of a request it is to get my own room?" The blonde shook her head. "I will make due for now." She made a mental note that she would report Faragonda as soon as she had the means to.

"Hey. The upperclassmen are having some meet and greet outside later, if you want-"

"No." Lilith stopped. "I am much too tired from dealing with all shenanigans to bother with that. Return to the dorms quietly or you will be hearing from me in the morning."

Roxy smiled as she turned back down the hall and the stairs as she saw students leaving the building and through the front entrance. She checked her cellphone and the missed calls and message. Instead of checking them, she called her parents. The phone rang twice and when to voicemail. "Hi Dad, Morgana. I'm doing okay here on Magix. Alfea's beautiful, the people…well are strange. I think I made a friend and made up with a roommate. Just call me back as soon as you can and say hello to Artu for me... Love you."

I've already introduced Lilith in chapter 2. When I written this character back in 2010, she summarized a "bitch without a cause", vapid and to an extend stupid. Looking back how season five and six changed many of the characters to hollow shells made me want to push my OCs to be three-dimensional so I gave Lilith from my original fanfic a facelift.

It's been eight chapters now and I've technically been in the same day throughout this and all the chapters before. And I also noticed in nine chapters, I'm a little bit over half of the original fanfic's length. Neat. And I think this will be the end of updates for the rest of the year for this fanfic. I feel a bit accomplished for the amount I published this year and Chapter 10's giving me the run around. Thanks for the reviews as well! It kept me motivated.

To the review on if I'd seen World of Winx, I haven't seen the series yet. I will when I get the chance!

Next Chapter: Not everyone's reaction to new places will be as positive as others.

Later Chapter: By fate or by chance will four girls share their first semester at Alfea together under the care of Vice Principal Griselda.
