Disclaimer: The Maiden of Autumn owns nothing.
Because I've been lazy and haven't wanted to take the time to put in the one contact that I wear (yes, only one, don't look at me I'm physically unbalanced and maybe a tad bit mentally okay?) I've been slinking about my home wearing my glasses.
And then I was on the Internet (of course do I really do anything else of course not) and saw a picture. Of a pair of folded glasses. Stuck together with a mini-padlock.
Combine my glasses-wearing streak and that picture together and…
…Thus.
…This.
Trolled
"That's cruel, L," Light commented idly as he watched L set his newest scheme into action.
L looked up, pausing momentarily to shrug indifferently. "What? It's amusing."
"What if you were that unlucky person?" Light asked. Still, he made to move to stop L, simply watching from his seat and making no move to stop the demon.
"Then I would simply feel very unlucky that this certain thing happened to me. But I'm not that person," L replied distractedly, fiddling around with the object in his hands. He wasn't even trying to be discreet about what he was doing, as the lecture hall was deserted for lunch. The only reason they were still in there was because Light had accidentally knocked some papers into the aisle right as the lecture concluded and had to wait until the stream of college students abated to retrieve them. And then, something had caught L's eye, and here they remained until L finished.
"Still, L," Light told him, watching L with an air of amused exasperation, though he made no attempt to stop L. "It's cruel to lock someone's glasses together with a padlock."
Though he did have to wonder where L got the padlock. And the other one that he had snapped onto the one guy's ear at the mall. L seemed to be able to pull random objects out of his pockets at the opportune times. Light also had to wonder if it was some sort of demon-power, though he really felt no inclination to ask, because not everything that related to L's heritage had a nice explanation.
Looking down, L critically examined the pair of eyeglasses he was setting back down on the desk he had taken them from. They were folded, and a lock was snapped around the metal frame, rendering them unable to be opened and put on.
Smirking, L arranged them so that the lock was not visible at first and then turned to Light. His bat-wings fluttered and a fanged smile overtook his pink lips as he shrugged, tail whipping mischievously.
"Not cruel. Just expertly trolled."
