Chapter 4: Bat Family Reunion

The Titans were going back to their home, laughing at their recent success.

"Did you see the look on Light's face when Terra fired a boulder at him?" Robin said, laughing out loud.

"I swear, his pants got soiled!" Beastboy said, holding his sides.

"Good job on your first bank robbery, Terra," Danny said as he lightly punched the girl on the arm.

Terra grinned in embarrassment as her friends kept complementing her. They entered the Tower and started walking down the hall and towards the living room.

"This calls for a celebrating, y'all!" Cyborg exclaimed as he put on an apron and chef hat. "Time for my world famous Spaghetti!"

"And I will make some of my home planet's delicacies!" Starfire added.

"And some tofu burgers!" Beastboy exclaimed as they entered the room.

Before Danny could say anything, he heard someone laughing, a sound he found familiar. They all turned and saw someone sitting on the head of their sofa. She was wearing a light purple suit that had a yellow bat symbol on her chest. A dark purple cowl that had a bat-like mask, gloves, high-knee boots, and a yellow utility belt. She also had reddish purple hair.

"Nice place you got here," she commented as she smirked at their shock expressions.

"An intruder!" Robin exclaimed as he charged at the intruder, pulling out his Bo Staff.

"Rob, wait!" Danny exclaimed, but it was too late; Robin swung his staff at the intruder, who jumped up to dodge it. She then landed gracefully on the staff and kicked Robin away.

The Boy Wonder stumbled back and was caught by Terra. The others glared at her and were about to attack when their leader stood in front of them, stopping them.

"Stand down, Titans," he ordered. "She's a friend of mine."

Danny then turned around and walked to his old friend, who was smirking at him. He stared at her before he grinned.

"Nice to see you again, Red," he said.

"You too, Squirt," she said as she hugged Danny.

Starfire's eyes widened as the two hugged. She felt something in her chest. Something…ugly. She gritted her teeth as her eyes glowed brightly.

"So who's this?" Cyborg decided to ask as Danny ended the hug.

"Everyone, this is an old teammate of mine," Danny said as he gestured at the girl. "Batgirl, meet the Teen Titans."

"Teen Titans?" Batgirl asked as she looked at Danny.

"It was a good name," Danny mumbled, looking down a bit.

"Batgirl?" Beastboy asked with wide eyes.

"The Dark Princess of Gotham?" Robin asked with awe.

"In our Tower?" Cyborg said like he was having a heart attack.

"So cool…" Terra said with stars for eyes.

Batgirl watched as Danny's friends started geeking out that she was here. It was a little weird, but somewhat flattering. She then turned to Danny, who was chuckling at the scene in front of him.

"So to what do we own this surprise visit?" Danny asked, looking at his old friend.

"I'm here because I need your help," Batgirl said, her expression darkening. "Batman's missing."

Danny immediately turned serious as she said that, so did the rest of the Titans.

"What happened?" Danny asked, sounding serious. "And how's Dani? Is she hurt?"

"She's fine," Batgirl replied. "She's looking for clues to where Batman could be."

Danny nodded, feeling a little relief. He then gestured at Batgirl to continue.

"It happened three days ago," Batgirl replied as she sat down the sofa. "We were chasing after some thugs in an abandoned factory. We cornered them, they tried to fight back, we beat them up, you know, just a typical Tuesday. Then a bomb appeared from the floor and the thugs we didn't beat up started running."

"Batman told us to go after the thugs while he disarms the bomb. We chased them through the street and when we finally got him, we got a distress call from Batman. When we got back, we discovered that the bomb was a dud. When we were searching for clues on where he was, we only found his utility belt."

"I came here because I need your help," Batgirl said, sounding tired. "Please help, Danny."

Danny took a moment to process what he learned. Batman, the greatest hero he ever known, was kidnapped? Gone? Just like that?

"When do we leave?" he asked in a serious tone.

Moments later, Danny was prepping his bike to go to Gotham. His friends were watching him. They never saw him acting like this before.

"So...when are we gonna go?" Beastboy asked after an uncomfortable silence. "I always wanted to go to Gotham. I heard they have wild parties!"

"Sorry, guys," Danny said as he slung his backpack over his shoulder. "But I need to go there alone. You guys have to watch over the city while I'm gone."

"But-!" Beastboy exclaimed before Cyborg covered his metal hand on his mouth. Starfire looked like she wanted to say something, but Raven stopped her. She looked at her friend, who was shaking her head.

"I'll be back as soon as I can," Danny said as he grabbed his helmet and got on his bike. "Take care."

He put on his helmet, waved at his friends and drove off through the door, where Batgirl was waiting for him on her bike.

"You ready?" Batgirl asked as she put on her helmet.

"I was born ready," Danny said. Batgirl nodded and the two drove away from the Tower and towards Gotham City, leaving a trail of dust behind them.

Two Days Later…

Phantom and Batgirl stopped at the edge of the city, looking at the flashing lights and tall buildings.

"Gotham City," Danny said as he stared at the dark sky. "It's good to be back."

The two started their engines and drove through the city, passing through tall buildings and stores. Danny looked around the familiar streets. Even though it was an emergency, it was still good to be back.

Suddenly, the two teens heard an alarm. They turned to the source and saw a group of thugs breaking in a jewelry store.

"Guess something just don't change," Danny said as they drove towards the trouble.

As the burglars exited the store with sack full of jewelry, they stopped dead when they saw a flash of light in front of them and a roar of an engine. When the light finally died, Phantom and Batgirl jumped off their bikes and landed in front of the villains.

"Don't you think it's a little late for window shopping?" Batgirl asked as she looked at the villains.

"And why do you guys want jewelry?" Danny asked with his arms crossed. "Isn't that a girl thing?"

"It's Phantom and Batgirl!" one of the crooks shouted.

"Why can't it be 'Batgirl and Phantom'?" Batgirl asked as she looked at Danny.

"Well I was his first partner," Danny said as he smirked at Batgirl.

"No you weren't, I was the first partner!" Batgirl exclaimed.

"I was the first official partner," Danny said smugly, causing Batgirl to glare at him.

"Get them!" one of the burglars as he pulled out a gun from his belt.

The two teens quickly jumped away to dodge the bullets before they charged at the bad guys. Batgirl pulled out some batarangs and threw them at the charging bad guys, knocking them out. Phantom fired some Ecto-goo at the bad guys, sticking them to the walls.

One of the thugs who got knocked out, slowly stood up and grabbed the sack of jewelry and lumbered towards Batgirl, who was kicking another thug away. Danny, who knocked out another thug, looked towards Batgirl and saw the guy about to attack him.

"Batgirl, behind you!" he shouted as he pulled an Ecto-rang to throw it.

Before he could swing his arm, something red flew pass his ears and hit the thug, surprising Batgirl. Danny turned around to where the projectile come from. He stared at an alley and narrowed his eyes. He walked towards it and used his hand to make some light as he entered the dark alley.

"You guys can come out," he called.

A few quiet moments later, Robin jumped off the fire escape, Beastboy jumped out the trashcan, Cyborg and Terra stood up behind the dumpster, Raven appeared on the walls, and Starfire flew down from the roof.

Danny sighed and shook his head as his friends tried to look sheepish.

"Danny! What a coincidence seeing you here…" Robin said, chuckling a bit.

Danny just stared at them with a deadpanned expression.

"It was Starfire's idea!" Beastboy shouted as he ran behind Cyborg for protection. "She made us come!"

Starfire walked forward, hiding her nervousness with a look of determination.

"Yes, I was the one who asked them to come," she confessed. "We are your friends, and we will not ignore your time of need, Danny."

Danny just took a deep breath and sighed.

"Did you at least call someone to look after the city," Danny said, looking at his friends.

"Aqualad's on it," Cyborg said, causing Danny to nod.

"Does that mean we get to stay?" Beastboy asked hopefully.

"Just try not to get killed," Danny said as he walked back to Batgirl, who was tying the thugs up.

"Yes!" Beastboy cheered before he realized what Danny said. "Wait…get killed…"

"Those teammates of yours sure don't follow orders," Batgirl said as they walked back to their bikes. "Reminds me of you."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Danny said as the Titans joined them.

"So, what do we do first?" Robin asked as he looked at the tall buildings.

"We need to go somewhere, first," Danny said as he raised his hands at them.

"Wait," Terra said as Danny's hands started glowing. "What are going to-?"

She couldn't say more as Danny fired ecto-goo at their faces.

The Batcave…

Danny, Batgirl, and the gagged Titans entered the driveway of the Batcave. As soon as he got off his bike, he got tackled by a white blur.

"Danny!" Dani shouted happily as she hugged the halfa.

"Nice to see you too, Dani," Danny said as he stood up and looked at his clone.

Dani was still wearing her old outfit, but this time, she had a utility belt and a cape. Her green eyes shining happily.

"So, have you been good while staying here?" Danny asked as he looked around the familiar cave.

"Yeah, Batman…" Dani said before she frowned. Danny noticed this and put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Don't worry, Dani," he said with a smile. "We will find him."

Dani looked at him before she smiled and nodded. Suddenly, the two turned when they heard some noises. Dani looked over and saw the Titans gagged up on the floor before she turned to Danny, who looked a bit sheepish.

"Almost forgot about them," Danny said as he walked towards them and started removing the goo off their faces.

He removed the goo off their face, which seems painful since he friends screamed in pain when he removed them from their faces.

"Dude…" Beastboy said as he noticed where they were. "This…is…awesome…"

"Woah," Cyborg said as he looked around the Batcave.

"Cool," Robin said as he looked at the trophy room, which was filled with awesome stuff.

"Just don't touch anything, you guys," Danny said as he walked towards the Batcomputer when the elevator door suddenly opened.

Everyone looked and saw a bald man with a butler suit enter the Batcave. Next to him was a kid about thirteen years old with black hair, wearing a red and black tight suit, a black cape, boots and gloves, a domino ask, and a yellow R on the middle of his chest.

"Master Danny?" Alfred said with a surprise look before he smiled. "It is great to see you again, Master Danny."

"This is Danny Phantom?" the kid asked, looking at Danny with a bit of awe.

"…Robin, do you have a little brother?" Danny called, looking over his shoulder.

"No, why?" Robin asked as he walked towards Danny, and stopped when he saw his look-alike.

"Woah, Robin got cloned!" Beastboy shouted. He suddenly got slapped on the head by Dani.

"Who's this?" Danny asked as he looked at Batgirl, Dani, and Alfred.

"Oh, I forgot to mention," Batgirl said as she walked towards the kid. "This is Baby Bird, the newest member of the team."

"It's Red Bird!" the kid shouted, glaring at Batgirl.

"Oh…is Baby Bird gonna cry?"

"I'm not a baby!" Red Bird shouted.

"Oh. Nice to meet you," Danny said as he offered a handshake, trying not to smirk. "How long have you been here?"

"Three months," Red Bird said as he shook Danny's hand. "Who're they?"

He pointed at the Teen Titans, who were snooping around the cave. After stopping them, getting Beastboy to put back Scarface, and introducing them to each other, Danny was on the Batcomputer, studying the dud bomb. Something about it seemed so familiar.

"Hey Cy," Danny called as he enlarged the picture of the bomb. "Does this design look familiar to you?"

Cyborg looked at the design closely before his eyes widened.

"Dude, this bomb has the same design that fake Chronoton detonator Slade had!" Cyborg exclaimed.

"So it's Slade," Danny said, his expression darkening.

"Who's Slade?" Batgirl asked as she noticed the Titans' expression.

"He's bad news," Beastboy said, crossing his arms. "Two weeks ago, he tried to destroy our Tower!"

Danny started typing rapidly as he started analyzing what the bomb really was. After a few minutes of analyzing, he figured out the bomb was a giant Taser used to stun Batman and deactivate his utility belt. After finding out where the signal to activate the giant Taser came from, he pinpointed the signal to the old Arkham Asylum.

"You guys ready to get the Bats back?" Danny asked as he stood up from the chair, tightening his gloves. Everyone nodded, looking very determined, especially the Bat Family. "Then let's move out!"

Danny ran towards the Batmobile and hopped on the driver's seat.

"Hey, I should drive!" Batgirl shouted as they ran towards Danny.

"You snooze, you lose," Danny said as he put the seatbelt on. "Let's go!"

"Be sure to be back before supper time," Alfred called as they prepared to go.

"Can you make those tacos?" Danny asked as Dani sat shotgun.

"Of course," Alfred said with a bow.

"I'm a vegetarian!" Beastboy called.

"Very well then, Master Beastboy," Alfred said.

"Let's go!" Danny shouted as he started the engine.

"He called me Master," Beastboy said with giddily.

Danny drove the Batmobile through the exit with Dani, Starfire, Cyborg and Terra. Batgirl was on her bike, Robin was using Danny's bike with Raven clinging on him and Beastboy on a sidecar. Red Bird was on a red and black bike.

"How come I have to be on the sidecar?" Beastboy grumbled as they followed the Batmobile.

"Because," Raven replied, slightly enjoying the ride as she hugged Robin.

"By the way, you guys," Danny said as they got on the road. "I don't know how to drive this thing."

"…What!"

Abandoned Arkham Asylum…

Batman was strapped on the wall, bruised up and beaten. He looked at his restraints, trying to look for a weak point, but it was too well made.

"Don't bother, Batman," a voice said, causing the Dark Knight to look forward. "Even you can't escape from those chains."

Slade walked out from the shadows and looked at Batman, mocking him with his one eye.

"So, what do you want?" Batman said, narrowing his eyes at the masked villain.

"What I want is something you have," Slade said as he paced in front of Batman. "A disciple. An apprentice. A student. A son."

"Are you gonna get to the point, or are you gonna bore me to death?" Batman said.

Slade stopped in front of Batman and looked at him in the eye. He then pulled out something on his belt, a small vial filled with pollen.

"I'm sure you are familiar with this," Slade said as he shook the pollen in front of Batman. "It's mind control pollen from Poison Ivy. A whiff of this and you'll obey any command I say. And my first order is to bring me your apprentices."

He opened the vial and was about to pour it over Batman's voice when something hit his hand, causing him to drop the vial. He looked at the direction to where the projectile came from and saw Danny leaning on the wall, catching the Ecto-rang he threw.

"If you wanted to go to the nuthouse, I could have arranged a room for you, Slade," Danny said as he walked out of the shadows. "You could really use it."

"Phantom?" Batman said, looking slightly surprise.

"Hey, Bats," Danny said with a grin. "Let's catch up later, after we beat up this nutcase."

He threw two Ecto-rangs towards the restraints, destroying it. Once Batman was freed, he kicked Slade away before turning to his former sidekick, who walked towards him.

"By the way, you dropped this," Danny handed Batman his utility belt.

"Thanks," Batman said as he put on the belt. "Good to see you again."

"You too," Danny said as he pulled out a pair of tonfas. "Now how about, for the sake of old times, we beat up this psychopath."

Slade stood up from the ground and glared at the duo.

"You didn't really think I was alone, did you?" Slade said as he snapped his fingers. Suddenly, Batman and Phantom were surrounded by Sladebots that burst through walls. "You should have known better, Danny."

"And you should have known that I'm not alone," Danny said, smirking.

The minute he said those words, the ceiling exploded and the Titans, Batgirl, Dani Phantom, and Red bird jumped down towards them, landing next to the Dynamic Duo.

"Titans, go!" Danny shouted as they charged towards the robots.

"You have a battle cry?" Batgirl asked as she threw some batarangs at the robots, smashing through their heads.

"It sounds cool, alright," Danny said as he smashed his way through the robots, bashing their heads and frying their circuits.

Beastboy turned to a grizzly bear and started clawing the robots to pieces. Raven used her magic to tear the robots to pieces. Terra used the bricks as bullets to shot the robots down. Cyborg punched and blasted the robots. Red Bird and Robin were fighting side by side, in perfect sync. Dani was firing Ghost Rays at the robots, and bashing their heads with her Bo Staff. Starfire was firing Starbolts at the robots. And lastly, Batman was fighting Slade.

The two seemed to be equally matched in both skills and techniques.

"You're pretty good, kid," Robin commented as he threw a birdarang at a robot.

"Thanks," Red Bird said as he flipped the robot away. "You're not bad yourself.

"Pardon for the sudden question," Starfire said as she floated next to Batgirl, firing at the robots. "But what is your relationship with friend Danny?"

"What do you mean?" Batgirl asked as she kicked the robot that tried to grab her.

"Are you in a relationship with him?" Starfire bluntly asked, causing Batgirl to stare at Starfire.

"Why do…oh…" Batgirl said as a grin slowly came across her face. She then jumped up to avoid the robot punching her and smashed it to the ground. "After this, we are so having the girl talk."

Danny whacked the robot's head off when he noticed Batman fighting Slade. He charged towards Slade, who tried to punch Batman in the gut. His eye widened when he saw a tonfa flying towards him. He narrowly dodged it, but he didn't see the knee going towards his face. He stumbled back as Danny landed next to Batman.

"Just like old times," Danny said as he and Batman charged at Slade.

The two were like well-oiled machine, fighting together in perfect sync. They punched, kicked and flipped the masked villain like he was ragdoll. Slade growled in frustration and tried to punch Danny. Danny ducked and grabbed Slade's arm. Before Slade could free himself, Batman punched Slade on the face, knocking him off his feet.

"Like I said, Slade," Danny said as he stood in front of the beaten villain. "I'm not alone."

"And neither is he."

Before Danny could react, something blasted him from behind. He screamed as he fell to the ground, his back throbbing painfully. Batman was blasted to the wall by the sudden attack. Danny looked up and his eyes widened when he saw Vlad Plasmius, floating in the room.

"Good to see you again, Little Badger," Vlad said with a sneer.

"I'd say the same thing, but then I'd be lying," Danny said as he stood up from the ground.

Everyone in the room stood in guard as they saw the older halfa, his hands glowing brightly. Dani tensed as she looked at the man who tried to kill her. Robin, on the other hand, was angry. This was the man who killed his parents and turned him into his pawn.

"It seems we're outnumbered," Vlad said as he landed next to Slade, who was slowly standing up. "How about we call it a day?"

"You really think we're going to let you go after what you did?" Robin said, glaring at Vlad.

"Yes, if you want to get out this building in time," Vlad said as he pulled out a trigger from his pocket and pressing the button.

Before the Titans could react, the entire building started shaking as they heard a large explosion. Danny glared at the two psychopaths who caused him so much pain. The two looked at him before Vlad grabbed Slade and teleported away.

"Let's get out of here!" Batman shouted as he stood up, holding his shoulder.

"You heard him, let's move!" Danny shouted to the others.

Everyone nodded and quickly exited the shaking building, dodging the falling debris. They finally managed to get out of the building before it collapsed. Everyone stared at the now ruined Asylum.

"Dudes, that was awesome!" Beastboy shouted. Danny face palmed as Batman looked at him before looking at the Teen Titans.

"You've got quite a team there, Phantom," Batman said as he looked at the Ghost Boy.

"They're a handful sometimes," Danny said, chuckling. "But I can always count on them to watch my back."

Batman nodded and slightly smirked.

"Let's go home," Batman said he turned away the destroyed Asylum. He then noticed the Batmobile, which looked like it went through a wrecking job. He looked at it before looking at the group of costumed teenagers.

"…Batgirl did it!"

"I did not!"

Wayne Manor…

"Wow, this place is bigger than I thought," Terra said as she looked around the dining room.

The Titans, who were newly bathed, were sitting around the long table, looking at the room in awe. They were shocked when they realized Batman was Bruce Wayne, young millionaire playboy of Gotham City.

They stopped looking when they heard footsteps. They turned and saw Bruce Wayne, Dani Fenton, Barbara Gordon, Jason Todd, and lastly, Danny Fenton. The Titans stared at Danny the longest, since they've never seen Danny in his civilian form before.

"Sorry to keep you guys waiting," Bruce Wayne said as he sat down on his chair. Danny sat next to Starfire, Dani between Beastboy and Jason, and Barbara between Raven and Starfire.

"Dinner is ready," Alfred said as he entered the room, pushing a cart filled with food. As he placed the platter in front of them, everyone started eating. As Danny enjoyed his taco, he watched as his two families started talking and laughing with each other, getting along well. He smiled at this before he returned his attention to his tacos.

"So, Danny," Barbara said, causing Danny to look at her.

"Yeah?"

"Do you have a thing for Starfire?" Barbara whispered mischievously, causing the halfa to choke on his food.

"You okay there?" Dani asked, looking at Danny.

"…Fine…" Danny said, coughing as he drank some water. "I was…just eating too much, that's all."

He then turned to Barbara, who was smirking at him.

"S-she's my best friend," Danny stuttered, trying not to blush.

"Is that why you have this?" she asked as she pulled out a picture from her pocket.

Danny looked at the picture and his eyes widened when he saw what it was. It was a picture of Starfire in a pose wearing his uniform. This was the same picture he took when he was in Starfire's body.

"Who knew you'd keep this in your drawer," Barbara said as Danny stared at the photo in shock. "You're growing up."

"What is that?" Starfire asked, noticing the picture in Barbara's hand.

Panicking, Danny quickly grabbed the picture and ate it. He swallowed he picture and noticed everyone looking at him.

"Man, I am so hungry!" Danny exclaimed and started grabbing handful of tacos and shoving it in his mouth.

"It's so good to see you again, Danny!" Barbara said as she started laughing. Soon, everyone joined her, except Danny, who was choking.

Hope you guys enjoyed this funny, complicated, and action packed-chapter. Slade and Vlad have formed an alliance. Will this so-called alliance last long, or will the Titans be defeated? Also, hoped you liked the hero name I gave Jason. Red Bird. I mean, let's face it, two guys who have no connection with each other having the same hero name is confusing. Funny, but confusing. Anyway, review time!

WolvesClaw19- Well, Danny could grow taller, thanks to his dad's genes. And Nightwing was somehow shorted for his age. And Jason's a growing boy, so he's gonna be tall.

WOLF- I will write a chapter about Date with Destiny. Hope you like the comedy in this chapter, as well as the Teen Titans meeting the Bat Family.

Darkverger1- Thanks. I always liked Terra. Also, Beastboy will have a different love interest. Guess who. Hope you like this chapter.
