As Amelia had predicted, Queen Nebula was absolutely furious when she found out that one of her fairy subjects had been abducted by Death Eaters.
"Barely a year has passed since we were freed from the clutches of some evil psychopathic wizards and another one comes along threatening our kind again?!" She asked, eyes flashing angrily.
"Yes, it seems..." Stephania said, looking equally furious, though not as vocal about it as her Queen was.
She, Juliana and the other seven British Fairies left stood in front of their Queen in the throne room, discussing the situation.
"Clara!" Nebula said suddenly.
One fairy with mousy brown hair that was barely older than Dana was looked startled. "Yes... yes, Your Majesty?"
"You were the one that discovered that Dana was abducted, correct?" Nebula asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty..." She said.
"Tell me: how did you find out?" Nebula asked.
Clara's voice became more steady as she spoke. "I was the second youngest fairy to be imprisoned after Dana, myself being only three years older than she is so we became close during our imprisonment. She had invited me over for some tea that afternoon so of course I said yes and I made my way over. When I arrived however, I saw those wizard people poring around her house. They tried to stop me from entering, but I transformed and shoved them aside with a few of my spells and..." She shuddered.
"...and I saw that her house was a complete wreck. Things were broken and scattered all over the place. I know that Dana was a neat freak so she'd never leave her house in a mess, furthermore a mess that looked like a struggle had taken place... I refused to leave before someone told me what happened and as soon as I left, I went straight to Juliana's place since she lives nearest to me in London, we called together the other British Fairies from there and then came straight here after I told them what had happened!" Clara exclaimed.
"I think it's time for me to pay a little visit to their Minister of Magic..." Nebula growled. "Right after I inform Morgana of what has happened..." She stood up, transforming and flying out of the throne room.
"What are you going to do about it?" Morgana asked as she and Rick watched Nebula pace up and down their living room.
"Their Ministry hasn't been efficient enough in tracking down this Voldemort wizard. They allowed bribes and lies about his supposed followers so they would go free in the last Wizarding War and even though they were faced with two people who would certainly not lie about something like that, plus evidence that they refused to look at, they refused to believe that he had returned for an entire year!" Nebula fumed.
"At this point, I think Harry would be of more help to us than that entire Ministry put together..." Morgana frowned.
"Wow. And I thought that the American government was inept at times..." Rick said.
"Indeed..." Morgana agreed. "But what is the plan of action now? Would Roxy be in danger from this Voldemort person? He's already had one of our fairies abducted. Can you imagine what he'd do to get Roxy if he wanted her? We don't even know what he wanted Dana for!" Morgana said, starting to feel worried.
"There's an angle I hadn't considered yet. And Dana... they could have wanted to get a fairy for our specific type of magic and they chose her because she's one of our youngest, most inexperienced fairies and would be easier to capture. But she would still be able to cast spells basic to our kind. Spells that they cannot do or are not fully aware of. Like portals to other dimensions..." Nebula and Morgana looked at one another with identical dawning expressions of horror.
"Oh dear... I'd better warn those in Magix. I have a hunch what dear old Voldy might have wanted with Dana after all..." Nebula stood up and made a portal. "Are you coming with me, Morgana?" She asked.
"I think I will. It will give me the chance to see Roxy early as well. Hold the fort, won't you dear?" She said, kissing her husband lightly before she followed Nebula through the portal.
Roxy, Athena, Anahita and Rainer were relaxing in the living room area of their dorm and chatting.
"Well, I'm glad those exams are over..." Rainer sighed in relief.
"I know, right? It's hard to believe that just under a year ago, we were getting ready to come here as Freshmen and we're finishing up the school year now..." Roxy agreed. "Time really does fly fast when you're actually having fun learning..."
"Let's hope that none of us have to repeat next year..." Anahita said nervously.
"Oh stop worrying, Hita! You'll be fine! We'll all be fine! We'll all be in Sophomore year when the next school year gets around! Even Krystal!" Athena turned to her twin.
"Speaking of our flower princess, where is she?" Rainer asked.
"She said something about meeting some other friends of hers, I think..." Roxy looked up as she heard the door open.
"Hey everybody! I'm back!" Krystal said as she walked through the door. "Roxy, your mother and aunt just arrived on campus. Were you expecting them?"
Roxy raised an eyebrow. "No, I wasn't. I'm not supposed to back to Earth for a few days..." She got up. "I think I'll go look for them then and find out what's up. Thanks for telling me, Krystal..."
She dashed out of the room, down the hallways and straight out into the courtyard, where she nearly bumped into Morgana and Nebula in her hurry to find them.
"Wow, Roxy. Where are you off to in such a hurry?" Morgana held her daughter steady as the younger fairy recovered from the collision.
"Thanks, mom... I heard that you were here, but I know I'm not supposed to go back home for a few days, so I wondered why you were here and who best to ask that but you?" Roxy said.
"Morgana, we can talk to Roxy afterwards. We should talk to Faragonda first! Or better yet, bring her with us. She'll need to hear what is said as well..." Nebula said.
Roxy frowned. "Why? What's wrong?"
"You'll hear when we get to your Headmistress' office. Let's go." Morgana gestured to her daughter and she led the way to the office.
"I see your concerns and they are duly noted, Your Majesty. I will tell my fairies to be careful and reinforce the protections around the school just in case this Voldemort character gets the idea to come to Magix..." Faragonda said as she looked at the two royal fairies sitting in front of her desk.
Roxy meanwhile, was sitting in a chair in a corner of the room, looking worried.
"Since Voldemort has Dana, he could use her magic to do things he couldn't before! I must warn Harry as soon as I can! I don't know what he's planning exactly, but to incur the wrath of an entire nation of fairies with a queen that wouldn't hesitate to tear him to shreds literally... He must be up to something particularly terrible..." Roxy shuddered at the thought, knowing at least some of the atrocities he had committed through various sources including her boyfriend.
"Haveyou told the other schools about this unfortunate development yet?" Faragonda asked.
"We were going to do so right after this meeting with you. I'm going to Cloud Tower while my sister goes to Red Fountain. Plus when and not if he finds about Harry Potter being in Magix, it will be only a matter of time until he comes here, trying to unsuccessfully kill him again. Since he has Dana, he could use her to get information about Magix and that includes Potter's presence here..." Nebula pointed out.
"And to think that we actually had a relatively peaceful year for a change here... No villains escaping prison, no one wanting to attack the school..." Faragonda sighed.
"Wait, attacking the school? You think Voldemort would attack the school? Attack Alfea?!" Roxy exclaimed, standing up suddenly and looking stunned.
"From what I have heard, he's an absolutely ruthless, soulless being that would murder indiscriminately just for fun. He did try to murder a one year old for goodness knows whatever reason and probably many other entire families including their children in the last Wizarding War..." Morgana said, turning to her daughter.
"We should get going now. I have business to attend to in Britain afterwards and the sooner that I can get to them, the better..." Nebula stood up.
"Roxy, let me tell him about this when I'm over there, please. It's best that I do. I know more about the situation for now and it would be best that I can try to answer some of his questions..." Morgana put a hand on Roxy's shoulder.
"Fine. I won't tell him. But... you really think they'll come here after him when they find out he's here in Magix?" Roxy's eyes widened in worry as she put her hands over her mouth.
"I won't lie to you dear. I don't doubt it in the slightest, Roxy. But they'll have a hard time getting through us Tir Nan Og fairies, won't they?" Morgana smiled encouragingly.
Roxy nodded, though she still looked worried.
"I will be back to collect you in four days when the semester officially ends. Be careful." Morgana waved to her as she left the office.
Roxy sighed.
"Roxy, will you be fine?" Faragonda asked, looking concerned.
"I will, Miss Faragonda. Can I leave now?" Roxy asked.
"Go on ahead." Faragonda dismissed the younger fairy and as soon as Roxy was gone, she called a meeting of all the professors and staff to discuss the potential threat.
Harry was in Red Fountain's gym, decked out in exercise gear and in a practice boxing match with Lucas when Professor Saladin's voice sounded loudly throughout the room.
"Harry Potter of Earth, please come to my office immediately. Do not delay." The Headmaster's voice ended as suddenly as it had begun.
Harry looked at Lucas, who looked as bewildered as he felt.
"You'd better get going, Harry. Don't want to get in trouble, do you?" Lucas said.
"You're right. I'll see you later, I suppose?" Harry asked as he shook off his boxing gloves and walked briskly towards the door.
"Yep, you will. We'll be continuing this match!" Lucas called out to him as the gym doors closed behind him.
As Harry made his way up to Professor Saladin's office, his mind wondered through the potential causes that the Headmaster would have wanted to call him with such urgency.
He barely had any time to process these thoughts however, before he actually arrived at the office in question and saw not only Professor Saladin, but all the other Red Fountain teachers and perhaps most puzzling of all, Roxy's mum, the former Queen Morgana.
He blinked.
Shaking himself out of his mild shock, he spoke. "Good morning, Professors, Madam Morgana. Is there a problem? Am I in trouble somehow?"
"No, you're not, Harry though how you view the news I'm about to share may affect your views on that..." Morgana said, looking grim.
"I have the feeling you'll need a seat for this, Harry. I haven't heard her news yet either though..." Saladin waved his staff and an additional chair appeared for Harry, who sat down in it slowly, frowning.
"What's the matter then? Why the urgency?" Harry asked.
"Queen Nebula has always agreed that we should not interfere with Wizarding Britain's problems, including those that involve Voldemort. However, he has done something that no one from Tir Nan Og can ever forgive, especially with what the Wizards of the Black Circle did to us still so fresh on our minds..." Morgana explained everything she knew of the Death Eater's abduction of Dana.
"Why did I not see something like this coming? Voldemort wants power and he doesn't care what he has to do and who he has to hurt in order to get it. With this "new magic" emerging on Earth, it makes sense that he'd want his piece of that..." Harry muttered.
"No one blames you, Harry. In fact, we're blaming the British Ministry of Magic. My sister has gone there for an emergency meeting right now as a matter of fact and she's none too pleased with them..." Morgana frowned.
"I only wish I could be there myself to see that. I've wanted to see them chewed out properly for quite a long time..." Harry seethed.
"Harry, this also means that it's only a matter of time before Voldemort and the Ministry find out that you're here at Red Fountain. What do you want to do?" Saladin asked.
"If I stay here, that means that Voldemort will likely want to attack the school for "harbouring" me. But on the other hand, he'll probably want to attack you anyway for the magical treasures that you hold. And I mean here, Cloud Tower and Alfea..." Harry said.
"We will stand by you, Mr Potter. We've faced our share of tyrants over the years and this Voldemort person will not scare us into submission!" Saladin declared and all the other teachers nodded in agreement.
"Well, that's good to hear..." Harry nodded.
"I must go and help prepare the Tir Nan Og fairies for any potential battle. We can't let Dana remain in Death Eater clutches for much longer!" Morgana stood up.
"Can I leave now, Professor Saladin? I feel like I need to go take out some frustrations on a punching bag..." Harry stood up.
"Go on ahead, Harry. I have a feeling you'll need to be in the best shape of your life for what is to come..." Saladin dismissed him.
As Nebula glided through the Visitor's Entrance, looking very intimidating in her black pants-suit and heels and practically glaring around at everyone she passed, her mind focused only on the task at hand: helping to destroy Voldemort.
"Ah, Your Majesty. Welco-" The security wizard's greeting was cut off abruptly.
"I have an emergency meeting with Minister Scrimgeour and some others in a few minutes. Where are they?" She asked tersely.
"We're right here, Your Majesty..." Scrimgeour, Madam Bones and a few other Ministry officials walked up to her, bowing slightly.
"Uh-huh... Let's go get down to business. Unlike you apparently, I have no time to waste and I'd like to get out here and back to Tir Nan Og as soon as possible..." Nebula raised an eyebrow at the group of wizards.
"I understand. This way, Queen Nebula..." Scrimgeour led the way up to a private boardroom.
Death Eater Fairy Abduction!
By Eliza Humphries
It has reached the offices of the Daily Prophet that two days ago, one of the fairies of Tir Nan Og, who was born and has resided in Britain was abducted right out of her own home by a group of Death Eaters.
Dana Bixley, 22 years old and the youngest of the recently freed fairies of the planet was interviewed barely over a week ago. A few days later, Aurors and other Ministry Wizards had converged on the scene in Manchester, to find a trashed house, no Dana in sight and evidence to prove that Death Eaters were behind the attack.
Queen Nebula met with Ministry Wizards including the Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour yesterday and had this to say as she exited the Ministry:
"Your government has stood by for long enough and did absolutely nothing. Last year, when Harry Potter told you that what you people call "You-Know-Who" was back, you refused to believe him and made a mockery of him even when presented with evidence. Now it has come back to haunt you and dragged my fairies along into the mess as well. Well unlike you, we will not let this go by and do nothing. We always said we would not interfere in your matters, but now it has become our matter."
Further details on pages 3-5.
"Bloody hell. We're in for it now, aren't we?" Ron said as Ginny finished reading the front page of that day's Daily Prophet.
"The Ministry already has a war with You-Know-Who going, but to have the Tir Nan Og fairies on our case as well?" Dean said.
"It didn't say that the Tir Nan Og fairies were going to wage war against us, just that they now had a war of their own against You-Know-Who. Maybe with more than one government going after him... Maybe he'll be taken down faster..." Lavender looked hopeful.
"Yeah, but I think Harry would want to be at the front of that movement. He of all people deserves to be the one to cut that bastard down. Me? I have a bone to pick with certain... other Death Eaters." Neville growled.
"If Harry comes back from wherever he's been hiding. The only reason they found him at all was because he came back on his own a few months ago. That bloke breaks all the rules, even managing to escape from St Mungo's while it was under high security measures..." Seamus looked still in awe at the thought.
"Too bad not even we know where he is. I'm sure he's happy there though. Happier than he'd been at Hogwarts especially within the last two years or so..." Hermione glanced at Ron.
"Well judging by the skill he showed in Diagon Alley, You-Know-Who's going to be really in for it when it's time to cut him down..." Ron said.
"I just hope we're all ready for it when the storm arrives. But for now, we need to eat. Can't fight Death Eaters on an empty stomach, now can we?" Ginny spread some jam on her toast and everyone around them began to eat again, though still discussing the latest front-page article between bites.
In a desolate looking region somewhere in the Magix dimension, a navy blue portal appeared and several Death Eaters stepped out of it, followed by Dana in her fairy form and Bellatrix Lestrange, who currently had Dana under the Imperius curse.
"Where's the prison where the Trix are being held?" Bellatrix demanded.
"Underground..." Dana pointed towards the ground, answering tonelessly and eyes completely white. "I cannot make a portal directly into it. You must break your way in..."
"Well then, you heard her! Get blasting away!" Bellatrix shrieked as she cast the first explosive spell.
Down below in the prison itself, it began to shake violently.
"What? Is it an earthquake?" A guard wondered.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!"
The guard fell dead as several Death Eaters suddenly floated in through the roof.
The other guards immediately drew their weapons or were ready to cast spells to fight.
"That's not going to help you much!" Bellatrix cackled as she led the charge.
Somewhere else in the prison, on the Trix's prison floor, all three in their separate cells perked up.
"Sounds like the sounds of chaos... I like it!" Stormy smiled.
"What's happening? Did something go wrong with the guards?" Darcy thought.
Icy was casually sitting in her cell when the sounds of the fights reached her. "It sounds like someone is causing some trouble up there!" She said, an eerie smile forming.
Minutes later, she saw several black-robed, silver masked people holding wands in front of her cell.
"STEP BACK!" One yelled as he raised his wand.
Icy moved back quickly as these strange people made short work of the enchantments around her cell and one of them broke the power-nullifier bracelet on her wrist.
"I've waited for this moment for so long..." Icy rubbed her wrist.
"You're coming with us!" One of the black-robed people said.
"Who are you guys? And what about Darcy and Stormy?" Icy asked.
"The Dark Lord has need of your services and your coven sisters are being... liberated as well."
Icy shrugged. "Good enough for me!" She transformed and flew out of the cell alongside the Death Eaters.
Once in the corridor, she saw that Darcy and Stormy were also free and helping to fight the guards.
"This totally rocks!" Stormy exclaimed in delight as she blasted away a prison guard with a bolt of lightning.
"I'll say!" Darcy said as she sent some waves of darkness towards another set of guards.
"All three of them are free. We've accomplished our mission. Let's go!" One of the black-robed people said.
They all blasted through various parts of the ceiling and levitated through the now destroyed ceiling where they found a fairy waiting on them obediently.
"Portal back to Earth, now!" One of these robed and masked people, obviously a woman with black hair wilder than Stormy's demanded of the fairy.
Without resistance, the fairy obediently waved her hands and made a portal appear.
These people gestured towards it and looking at each other only once, the Trix stepped through it, followed by these strange robed people, with the wild-haired woman and the fairy bringing up the rear- but not before the wild-haired woman raised her wand into the air and cast a green skull and snake pattern that hovered in the sky above them.
"Ah, so you three are the infamous Trix who do not need wands to cast spells..."
Icy, Darcy and Stormy stood in front of Lord Voldemort as he sat in his evil chair with Nagini once again curled up in his lap.
"We are the very same ones. Now who are you?" Icy demanded.
"I? I am the greatest, most powerful wizard on this planet. Many are afraid to even speak my name..." Voldemort said.
"No seriously. Who are you?" Darcy asked.
"I... am Lord Voldemort, most feared wizard of all time here on Earth. My followers and admirers however, address me as the Dark Lord." Voldemort twirled his wand idly.
"So... Mr Dark Lord. You obviously went to the trouble of having that fairy abducted..." Stormy thumbed Dana over her shoulder, who was standing in a corner, looking completely blank. "... to get to us so what do you want from us?"
"Simple: your type of magic will help me in my quest for power. Plus you get to cause more pain and suffering in both this world and yours..." Voldemort answered.
"Getting to cause more pain and suffering? That's always fun. Let us get to destroy the Winx Club and the newly freed Earth Fairies and you've got yourself a deal." Icy smirked.
"Very well. It is best that this... Winx Club is dealt with as well, judging by what I have heard of them... And I have a way for you to prove yourselves to me that I think you will quite enjoy..." Voldemort laughed evilly and as he did, the Trix as well as the Death Eaters present joined in.
